These are photos of last night?s Arthur premiere. As you know, Russell Brand and Helen Mirren are the leads of the film, but Jennifer Garner has a supporting part - the ?Susan? role. I guess Jennifer thought that because she wasn?t the lead in the film, she should dress low-key? Because this is a really bad premiere outfit, especially for someone like Garner. She?s 38 years old, but face-wise she could pass for late 20s. She could dress decades younger than this and still look appropriate. I don?t care is the outfit is Oscar de la Renta - it?s meant for Helen Mirren, or one of Dame Mirren?s contemporaries. It?s also disappointing because this is one of Jennifer?s first red carpet appearances (for one of her own premieres) in a while. And this is her ?comeback? outfit. Uninspired, to say the least. But I?ll give her some credit - her hair looks good, and I like this darker brunette she?s working. Her makeup is nice too - she never goes overboard with drag queen makeup, so good for her. I also think this bland appearance reinforces her ?I?m a mom, that?s my first priority? image. She looks like a middle-aged mom on a red carpet, because that?s who she is in her soul.
So, that was the outfit that Mirren should have worn. Instead, Dame Helen wore this to the premiere:
I don?t even know. This is a style fail, Dame Helen. You can do better than this. Borrow something from Jennifer!

Stepping out for a bout of shopping, Jennifer Garner was spotted browsing a children?s clothing boutique in New York City on Tuesday (April 5).
The ?Valentine?s Day? beauty and a friend braved the Big Apple drizzle and chilly temps as they headed into Jacadi to check out the latest finds.
Garner arrived on the east coast last night, just ahead of the NYC premiere of her upcoming film ?Arthur? - which co-stars Russell Brand.
The brunette actress, who is on break from filming ?The Odd Life of Timothy Green,? is also set to make an appearance on ?The Late Show with David Letterman" later today.

She?s always up for a challenge, and Jennifer Garner has signed on to star in the Disney reboot of ?Miss Marple.?
According to a report, the ?Alias? babe?s production company Vandalia Films will produce the project, as part of the Agatha Christie mystery series revamp.
Making a departure from the original, Miss Marple will be depicted as aged in her 30s or 40s, rather than the elderly spinster she once was.
The ?Miss Marple? project is still very much in the planning stages, so stay linked to GossipCenter for all the latest developments.

This news is horrific. To me. First, I have a confession: I?m an Agatha Christie-obsessive. I love Christie?s work, and I love film and television adaptations of Christie?s work. My first favorite Christie series is the Miss Marple collection - my second favorite is the Hercule Poirot adaptations, specifically with David Suchet playing the famous Belgian detective. As for Miss Jane Marple, the little old lady who loves her village of St. Mary Mead, loves to knit, and loves her garden? well, she?s just perfect. She?s smart as a whip, she notices everything, and nothing ever shocks her, not even bizarre murders with an S&M/lesbian bent. My favorite Miss Marple adaptations are the series currently being aired by the BBC and PBS, only my absolute favorite Miss Marple ever - Geraldine McEwen - has retired from the show, and was replaced by Julia McKenzie. McKenzie isn?t bad, she?s just not as cute and sly as McEwan.
So, obviously, I am part of the target audience for any kind of Hollywood ?reboot? of Miss Marple, right? So imagine my displeasure when I read this morning that the reboot is happening? and that Miss Marple is getting a makeover. Guess who is set to play the little old lady who solves crimes in between knitting? Jennifer Garner. Ugh.
Disney has made a deal to revive the Agatha Christie mystery series staple character Miss Marple, but with one big difference: instead of the elderly spinster who lives in the English village of St. Mary Mead and solves mysteries as a hobby, the new configuration is for Mark Frost to script a version where Marple is in her 30s or 40s. Developing.
Update: Jennifer Garner will be the actress who puts a young spin on Miss Marple in Disney’s reboot of the Agatha Christie mystery series sleuth. The character had been portrayed by a long line of actresses who played Marple as an elderly spinster who cracked crimes in her spare time. Garner and her Vandalia Films partner Juliana Janes will produce a film that will be shaped as a star vehicle for Garner, the former Alias star who will next be seen in Arthur.

This makes me sick. The genius of Miss Marple as a character is that no one expects this little old lady to be so clever and so focused, and there?s also the idea that people will tell things (confess, if you will) to someone who reminds them of a grandmother. Jennifer Garner would be perfect for the role - in 40 years. Oh, and please God, don?t let them ?modernize? the stories and character to the present day. Miss Marple is such a 1940s character, specific to immediately post-WWII.
Ugh, this is going to be so messed up. I hate Hollywood. Next they?re probably rape Hercule Poirot by casting Jake Gyllenhaal in a ?reboot?. I HATE THIS.

FINALLY. At long last, Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake have finally split up. God knows how many times JT has screwed around on Jessica, and with God knows how many women. He tried to get with Mila Kunis, who wasn?t having it, but there was Olivia Munn and various backup dancers, and Amanda Seyfried certainly seemed up for it. TMZ?s source says that the breakup was a ?pretty mutual decision … and both parties still ?love and respect each other.?? Us Weekly?s source says: “It was mutual. Jessica is doing well.” Considering Jessica and JT released a JOINT statement, I don?t think we?re in for another debacle where, say, Us Weekly releases a story calling Jessica psycho and clingy and JT a cheater, only to have them still stay together.
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are no longer a couple.
The two decided to end their relationship recently and “there are no hard feelings,” a source tells PEOPLE exclusively. “It was completely mutual and they both decided it was time to move on.”
The source adds that Biel is keeping her house in L.A. and she and Timberlake, who started dating in 2007, will remain friends.
Reps for the couple released a statement Thursday, confirming the split: “Addressing the media speculation regarding Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake’s relationship, we are confirming that they mutually have decided to part ways. The two remain friends and continue to hold the highest level of love and respect for each other.”
Timberlake, 30, and Biel, 29, were spotted together looking cozy as recently as the Vanity Fair post-Oscars party on Feb. 27.

So, JT is finally officially single again. You know Olivia Munn is probably already sexting him, thinking that she?s next in line to be his girlfriend. That being said, I doubt JT will go with Olivia for anything more than a fling - he wants a movie star. He?ll try for Mila Kunis again, especially given that they?re both single now. Don?t do it, Mila!
As for Jessica? well? I?m about to say something that may disturb some of you. But I?ve always felt that women like Jessica Biel and her BFF, Jennifer Garner, are the kind of women who won?t let their current partner go without a jumpoff in place. I think that?s why Garner hasn?t left Affleck - she hasn?t found his replacement yet. And it wouldn?t surprise me at all if, in a few weeks time, we start hearing rumors about Jessica with some dude, someone that she had waiting in the wings.

I like Jennifer Garner. She isn’t an attention whore like so many are, she seems like an attentive mom, she seems to try to live her life as quietly as possible. I also think that most of the time she looks pretty. But damn does she look weird here. I never noticed how much of a fivehead she has. It almost looks like her face is oversized for the rest of her body. Poor, poor Jen.

Ringing in 2011 in the islands, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner enjoyed the first day of the New Year on the beach in Hawaii on Saturday (January 1).
With the "Good Will Hunting" hunk showing off his bushy facial hair, the couple romped along the shoreline with their daughters Seraphina and Violet along for the waterfront fun.
Prior to the family excursion, Miss Garner tended to a little athletic outing - as she went out for an early morning surf session while being all smiles when coming back to shore.
The trip comes after a year in which Jen has finished shooting movies "Butter" and "Arthur" while Ben is fresh off of the release of his successful director/actor efforts in "The Town".

Getting in some mother-daughter bonding, Jennifer Garner took Violet and Seraphina to Disney on Ice?s ?Let?s Celebrate? yesterday (December 19).
The ?Catch and Release? actress looked to be in good spirits as she arrived at the Staples Center along with the help of her mother-in-law Chris Affleck.
And funny enough, Seraphina kept losing her rain boots as mama Jen carried her back to the parking garage in the rain.
Earlier in the weekend, Ms. Garner was spotted lunching with a friend in Brentwood, as well as running errands in Santa Monica.

This is rare! It?s been a while since we?ve seen the whole family Affleck-Garner out and about. I think Ben has been filming in Oklahoma for a few months, so it seems like he flies into LA for a day and then flies back to Oklahoma for two or three weeks - such is the life of a working actor, granted, but when Jennifer Garner?s publicist is pushing the ?they?re so happy and everything is great and perfect? stories about how Jennifer Garner is always flying to meet Ben on set, it does seem weird. She and the girls stay in LA while Ben flies off and does God knows what all over the place. But here are a set of photos that makes us believe that all is well with the world!
Except that?s a major stick-eye Ben is giving the photographer. He?s not happy that they?re being pap?d, at all. Meanwhile, Jennifer seems blas about it. CB and I always disagree about this - I think Jennifer pushes images of herself and the kids day after day. I?m not saying she calls the paparazzi every time, but they sure know where to find her all the time, don?t they? Even when she breaks from her schedule, they find her. CB thinks the paparazzi just follow her around all the time, every day, and that Garner isn?t calling them, ever. To my mind, I do think that the paparazzi know that there?s a market for photos of The Dimple Parade, but the market has been flooded so why hang around and wait for them? I mean, new photos every day? What paparazzi is going to wait around every day for The Dimple Parade? There?s some agenda at play. And in these photos, Ben looks perturbed and Garner looks the same as always - not happy but not upset, either, at being photographed all the time. CB and I will never agree!
Maybe Ben is just upset that Blake Lively has already found a new boyfriend? Low blow, I know. Maybe that?s the agenda? Garner saying: ?He came back TO ME, Blake.?
One last thing - I?m really liking Affleck?s hair these days. It looks good when it?s a little bit grown out.

Getting a start on her Christmas shopping, Jennifer Garner stopped in at the local Target in Culver City, CA on Monday (November 29).
The ?Ghosts of Girlfriends Past? babe looked to be in good spirits as she carried daughter Seraphina out of the store while the nanny pushed the cart-ful of goodies.
Later in the week, Mrs Ben Affleck will be heading to her hometown in West Virginia to help out the Save the Children charity.
Jen, who grew up in Charleston, will team up with Mason County superintendent, Suzanne Dickens, in a press conference on Friday to discuss the opening of six more sites for the program that offers early education, literacy, physical activity and nutrition classes for children.
