Always one to delve into the happenings when the holiday comes around each year, Jennifer Garner didn't let her pregnancy get in the way of her Halloween celebrations.
The expecting actress stepped out on Monday (October 31) while showing off her growing bump in a black and purple witch costume complete with a cute, pointy hat.
Miss Garner proudly strolled past paparazzi as she made her way over to pick up eldest daughter Violet Affleck from her schoolhouse in Santa Monica, California.
The outing comes as Jen will most certainly be dressing up her adorable 5-year-old and her little sister Seraphina for what's sure to be a sugar-filled night in the Garner/Aflleck household.

Stepping out for a delicious meal to start the day, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were spotted having breakfast in Santa Monica this morning (October 26).
The ?Good Will Hunting? hunk and his ?Catch and Release? wife were joined by their daughter Seraphina as they strolled past a swarm of shutterbugs.
In career news, Ben is teaming up with his good friend Matt Damon for a new project based on the life of Whitey Bulger, a notorious Boston criminal.
Affleck told press, "Matt and I have been looking for something to do together for some time. We've heard about Whitey Bulger since we were kids, and we are excited by the prospect of putting it on screen."

Here’s pregnant Jennifer Garner, working some Louboutin heels and a black skirt and jacket paired with a navy blue top with sequins on it. When I first saw a smaller photo of Garner’s outfit I thought that the pattern on the front of her shirt was lace, not sequins. Either way she’s wearing navy blue with black, something that’s generally considered a fashion no-no. She looks great, though, especially considering her kind of hit-or-miss style when she’s not pregnant. As Kaiser has mentioned, Garner’s pregnant style is an improvement over how she regularly dresses.
Pregnancy really agrees with Garner, and even her more casual pregnant style is looking more put together than usual. Here she is getting coffee on Tuesday. She’s got some great boots paired with formfitting jeans, a very nice striped silk shirt and what looks like the same black jacket she was wearing yesterday. I love this look.
On Sunday Garner went to the farmer’s market with her husband and their girls and she looks like she put just as much thought into her everyday outfit there. She’s stepped up her game a little and it shows. Ben even picked up flowers for his wife. I like this family and I hope they’re doing well. We’ve heard all sorts of rumors about Ben’s potential wandering eye, which ring true given his well known commitment-phobe history. They seem solid though and like they’re looking forward to their new arrival. Whether it’s a boy or a girl, I’m sure it will be thrilling for them to welcome a fourth member of their family.

Looking to have enjoyed her lunch date, Jennifer Garner was all smiles for the paparazzi while out and about in sunny Brentwood, California yesterday (October 11).
Having just departed from grabbing a yummy dish at Tavern Restaurant, the expectant momma showed off her classically chic style, wearing a black sweater, leather shoulder bag, a-line skirt and a patent pair of pumps.
Meanwhile, the third-time mom-to-be and hubby Ben Affleck are reportedly looking forward to the addition of a baby boy when Jen gives birth early next year.
The pair, who are already proud parents of daughter Violet and Seraphina are excited over the news, as Life & Style tells that Ben is elated to have a "little sports buddy" and "can't wait to take his son to baseball games and play catch with him."

Taking in the fall showers rather than running for cover, Jennifer Garner was spotted walking casually through the raindrops in Los Angeles, CA on Wednesday (October 5).
The ?Ghosts of Girlfriends Past? actress happily chatted away on her cell phone and seemed to be enjoying the infrequent west coast rain.
During a recent visit to ?The Ellen DeGeneres Show,? Garner shared a rather funny exchange she had with her 5-year-old oldest daughter Violet.
Jen told, "You know how once you have kids you never ever pee by yourself again? At least one of them is always in there with you at all times. So the other day? [Violet] is in there with me and all of the sudden she went, 'Oh Mom, we have to have a talk'? She said, 'Mom, your bottom has gotten so big that your panties don?t even begin to cover it.'
"I said, 'It's called a thong, you wear it when you're a grown up. She was like, 'Uh, that is so gross!'"

Jennifer Garner told Ellen DeGeneres how she had to explain thongs to her 5-year-old daughter Violet. One day Violet followed Jennifer Garner into the bathroom and said her ass was so fat her “panties don’t even begin to cover it.” Garner then had to explain the thong. “You wear it when you get older,” Jennifer said. Violet’s reaction? “Uh, that is so gross.”
If you’re wondering what the screen grabs have to do with the story, Jennifer then described what it was like seeing me naked for the first time and how big my penis was. True story. You probably won’t see that part on Ellen because they edited it out.

Pregnant Jennifer Garner looked rather lovely last night at the TIFF premiere of Butter, wherein she plays a contestant in a butter sculpting contest. The film is a political satire comedy, and Garner’s character is said to be similar to Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachman. Producer Harvey Weinstein personally invited Bachman to the movie’s premiere in Iowa. Weinstein issued a statement that Bachman and other Tea Party members could be flown in on his dime. It was a pretty clever marketing strategy on his part.
In terms of this dress, it’s not my favorite. I know I said in our last Garner post that I like to see pregnant ladies in empire waist gowns, but this Valentino number looks a little too fussy and glittery for my tastes. It’s like a Barbie princess dress with all that stuff going on at the bodice and the tulle overlay on the skirt. Her hair and makeup look gorgeous though. She has some very good people. Again, Garner is matching her lipstick to her dress color and it doesn’t look too matchy. She’s so pretty when she’s made up.
Garner gave a quick interview to USA Today at the premiere. She said a few disjointed things about wearing heels while pregnant, keeping her kids entertained in the car and drinking coffee. My impression of her interview could just be based on the way USA Today is editing what she said. It probably flowed better in person, and she probably had to speak to so many people that night that she was talked out.
And she’s spending her day in impressively tall Prada heels. Not that Garner is bragging or anything. “I wore the short ones. Rachel Zoe would not be happy. I have some that are two inches taller that I wore last night,” she says. “You go through a training course when you’re in the Screen Actors Guild. They have an obstacle course in platform heels. Everybody you see out there, we’re all in it.”
Her rules for having a good time here:
“Snacks. We have snacks in the car. We have candy in the car.”
“While I’m very good about caffeine, I am also not afraid once or twice a pregnancy to have a half-caf latte. Today is one of those days.”
“Find ways to be as comfortable as possible and just go with it. It’s not an illness, being pregnant. I’m in the easiest part of it.”

I don’t think that the beginning of pregnancy is the easiest. I was puking all the time the first few months, but she’s probably at least four to five months along now, judging from these photos. She’s worn loose clothing up to now and all of a sudden she looks really pregnant. From what I remember it got easier from then on out. All I can really remember is the beginning and the end of my pregnancy, when I was extremely uncomfortable on both ends. The middle was kind of uneventful, so I guess I know what she’s saying.
Again, Garner is stunning on the red carpet. I’m one of those women who doesn’t go out without putting at least a little makeup on, and usually I put a small amount of thought into my outfit. I don’t get her day-to-day style, especially in comparison to what a knockout she is when she’s done up.
After writing that I saw these photos of Garner at the airport in LA on Monday, on her way to Toronto. She’s wearing makeup and is dressed casually cute. Good job.
And this is what she wore Monday out at TIFF. Holy boobs!

I used to really like and admire Jennifer Garner. This became a minor issue between Kaiser and me because she finds Garner understandably annoying. Then I saw the totally unnecessary remake of Arthur, in which Garner starred. (It was on a plane, and I was in the cheap seats so it’s not like I had my choice of films.) Garner’s Susan character was incredibly obnoxious, and she played it straight so that you had no sense of sympathy for her whatsoever. This is in comparison to the parts played by Helen Mirren and Russell Brand, who did the best they could with the material. So does that make Garner a great actress or a not-so-likable one? I don’t know, but she bugged me like she was supposed to, and then Garner the person said some kind of clueless stuff about motherhood being a woman’s greatest want. After that I was like “meh, I get what Kaiser is saying.” I still like Garner, but she’s like Reese Witherspoon to me now. I can see how hard she tries to sell her image, even if it’s not so far from reality.
Anyway Garner is pregnant, and we don’t know how far along she is but she made the announcement about three weeks ago, so it’s three or four months by now probably. This will be her third child with husband Ben Affleck, and they said in the announcement they’re of course “thrilled” to have another one. There’s a lot of talk that they’re hoping for a boy after two girls, but I’m sure that whatever gender baby they have they’ll still be overjoyed.
Garner is shown here Saturday at the Pink Party to raise money for Cedars-Sinai Women?s Cancer Program. She was the host at the event. Her dress is kind of sack-like, but I get that she’s pregnant and wants to feel comfortable. I’m not a fan of YSL’s ready to wear line, after having just looked through their insanely expensive clothing on the Neiman Marcus website and their website. I prefer empire waist gowns on pregnant ladies, but they get a pass always so I’ll try not to nitpick. The dark Pink reddish color is beautiful and I love her hair and makeup. She matched her lipstick to the color of her dress and it doesn’t look too matchy, just perfect. She’s really lovely here. I still like her, but I’m not a big fan anymore, you know?

Bringing her baby bump out on the town, Jennifer Garner was looking fabulous as she worked the red carpet at Drai's Hollywood on Saturday night (September 10).
The expecting actress was on hand to play hostess of the Elyse Walker Presents Pink Party '11 held in benefit of Cedars-Sinai Women's Cancer Program.
Aside from her charitable efforts, it has just been reported that Miss Garner is in the midst of bringing the non-fiction book The Geeks Shall Inherit The Earth to the small screen through her Vandalia Films.
According to Contactmusic, Jen's show "will follow several quirky students through high school and demonstrate how distinct traits can prove valuable in adulthood."

In yesterday?s post about Ben Affleck and his 1970s wiglet, I also threw in some photos of Jennifer Garner from her daily paparazzi-friendly jaunts. I mentioned the weirdness of Garner?s pregnancy style - when she?s not pregnant, she wears really baggy, unflattering clothes that make her look pregnant, and now that we know she is knocked up, all of sudden she?s wearing fitted clothes and she looks slender. It?s the strangest thing. In Touch Weekly might have an explanation for it, though - according to Jennifer?s unnamed friend, Garner has been working out four to five times a week with a personal trainer so that she doesn?t put on as much weight as she put on with her second pregnancy:
Some people may see pregnancy as an excuse to let themselves go, but Jennifer Garner is clearly not that girl! A friend says the star - who?s in her second trimester - has been working out four to five times a week with her personal trainer.
The pal says Jen, 39, is trying to keep her workouts up so she can give in to her cravings without all the guilt.
?Jen?s pregnancy cravings are cookies and cheese puffs,? the friend reveals. ?She knows those calories add up.?

Cookies? Cheese puffs? I wouldn?t think Jennifer would even keep that stuff in stock at her house. She seems like the all-organic-everything type. As for the whole exercising while pregnant thing - I don?t really have an opinion. Don?t most doctors say that women can exercise while pregnant, just not anything really high-impact or super-aerobic? I think Jennifer is just worried about gaining so much weight again.
