She?s been uber-busy promoting her new film ?Country Strong,? but last night (January 3) Gwyneth Paltrow showed off her R&B side.
During her appearance on ?Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,? the ?Sliding Doors? dame performed ?Let?s Do It? with Fallon as part of their fictitious 1990s group Shazzazz.
Paltrow and Fallon continued the schtick throughout the interview, also noting their other songs ?We Did It,? and ?Do It Again.?

| Gwyneth on Pitt & Affleck: 'It was strange to be part of a public couple' | Added 14 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Call me crazy, but I think Country Strong is going to go down as one of Gwyneth Paltrow?s biggest career blunders. Granted, I don?t see how any significant number of people will actually pay to sit through Gwyneth?s slurry Brit-Brit twang, nor her incredibly awkward and hilarious dance moves. But Gwyneth is still talking, still promoting, still trying to entice us into watching her shake her vitamin-deficient booty. She already sanctimoniously gooped about motherhood, and now she?s bringing out the big guns: she?s giving quotes (well, a quote) about her relationships with Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck. Oh, GOOP. It?s like you want us to think it?s 1997 again.
Long before she settled down with British rocker husband Chris Martin (they have kids Apple, 6, and Moses, 4), Gwyneth Paltrow was one of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelorettes — and her beaus included both Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck.
In a new E! special, Gwyneth Paltrow, that aired Wednesday night, the Country Strong star, 38, admits those high-profile, late-90s romances were kind of weird.
“It was strange to be part of a public couple,” she says in the interview.
The profile also reveals that Paltrow’s road to Hollywood wasn’t as easy as some might expect. Although she is the daughter of actress Blythe Danner and late director Bruce Paltrow, she didn’t get a free ride while she waited for her big break.
“We could have paid for everything and had a spoiled kid,” mother Danner says. “[But] I think it’s really important for people to work hard.”
Paltrow admits: “I would say ‘Dad, I can’t go out to dinner, I have no money,’ and he would say ‘you’re welcome to come over here and eat at our house anytime, but I’m not giving you money for your social life.’”
Plus, the star sheds new light on her struggle with post-partum depression following son Moses’ birth in 2006. “You don’t want anybody to know that you’re depressed or crying all the time, ” she said. “There’s this shame that we bring to it and it’s incredibly debilitating and scary and you just don’t feel like yourself.”
[From Us Weekly]
So it was just the one solitary quote about Pitt & Affleck? for now. She probably has a few more things to say about them, but E! just hasn?t released the quotes yet.
But anyway? this whole thing, the random quote and looking up these old photos? it?s made me incredibly nostalgic. Remember when Gwyneth was the Queen Bee? Remember when everyone was obsessed with her? Remember how friggin? snotty she was even back then? Good times. Nowadays? well, do you think Gwyneth ever feels the pang of nostalgia, ever wishes she could go back and be The It Girl? I bet she does.

We all know that Gwyneth Paltrow loves her children, little Apple and Moses. I have no doubt that Gwyneth is a good mother - she seems very engaged in her kids? lives, and when she takes ?time off? to be a stay-at-home mom, she really follows through and goes underground with it, you know? She?s not trotting her kids out every day for the paparazzi, she?s not pushing the ?just a simple, happy mother and her children? visuals that so many celebrity women push. But then Goopy has to ruin it every time by getting on her high horse and, with her voice and tone dripping with sanctimony, tell you how much she hates doing anything without her children, and how all of us are so ?less than? her kids. While I understand what Goopy is trying to get across - that she adores her kids and that she prioritizes them above all else - she always has a habit of framing every issue in snotty condescension.
Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow loves acting, but it has to be a pretty compelling part to take her away from her favorite role: mom to daughter Apple and son Moses. Playing troubled alcoholic country superstar Kelly Canter in ‘Country Strong’ fit the bill, as does her role in ‘Contagion,’ as an infected working mom in the new Steven Soderbergh film shooting now.
When considering movie roles, “you want to put yourself in the hands of someone who’s really good or where you might learn something that you never thought you’d learn because my time out of my house and away from my kids is no joke,” a dead-serious Paltrow told PopEater while doing press in Los Angeles for ‘Country Strong.’
“I am not putting them to bed right now, I’m here, and that’s really hard on me. But at the same time, it’s what I do, so when I do my work, I want to be inspired. I want to bring home something they’ll be proud of and they’ll look back and go, ‘Wow, Mom was alright’.”
When she’s home in London with her children and her husband, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, she is extremely hands on, she stresses. “I’m at everything and I pick them up everyday, take them [to school] every day, do everything for them, homework, bath …When I’m home, I’m extremely 100% present.”
Though Paltrow has often talked about her love of living in Europe, it sounds like she may be missing the green, green grass of home … just a little bit at least.
“My favorite thing about [living in London] is it’s very green. We’re in the middle of the city, but we have grass and trees and a little swing set [and] I can take Apple to the Royal Ballet to see ‘The Nutcracker.’ There’s a quality of life in terms of a big city there that’s pretty great, but, you know, I miss home. It’s hard. I love it there, but the older I get the more I miss, specifically, California.”
[From PopEater]
First of all, let me just repeat: I think Gwyneth is a great mom, and I respect her for being a celebrity mom who keeps it low-key. BUT - ?I’m at everything and I pick them up everyday, take them [to school] every day, do everything for them, homework, bath …When I’m home, I’m extremely 100% present? - seems judgy, right? Like, any mother who is merely giving ?95%? to their kids is so unworthy of the gift of children. Like, Goopy looks down on working mothers who are merely spending time away from their kids because of ?money?. When Goopy spends time away from her kids, it?s because of HIGH ART. Art that her children will appreciate some day. That was just my take on it.
Second point? this is why Goopy leaves her children? HIGH ART:
I mean? is it rude to tell Goop that this time probably would have been better spent with her kids? Also: does she flash her goopy vadge in this video? Discuss.

It doesn?t hit theaters until January 7th, but last night (December 14) Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted at the Los Angeles premiere of ?Country Strong.?
The ?Sliding Doors? actress showed up at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Beverly Hills looking amazing in an ivory-colored gown with a laced back and a high leg slit while joining co-stars Garrett Hedlund, Tim McGraw and Leighton Meester.

| Gwyneth Paltrow in Pucci for 'Country Strong' premiere: goopy, tragic or cute' | Added 14 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Last night was the big LA screening/premiere of Country Strong, the poor whiskey-soaked, twanky musical that got SHUT OUT of the Golden Globes. Gwyneth Paltrow is a total pro, however, not deigning to allow her haters see her anything less than perfect. The dress is Emilio Pucci - I didn?t use the photos where you can really see the left side of the dress, which has a dramatic hip-high slit. To be fair to me, however, Gwyneth didn?t do a lot of posing with the slit all open and junk - you can see the back of the dress here. Also - should we talk about the slit? And how we now know that Goopy is going commando on the red carpet? I don?t mind a slit, honestly. This dress reminds me of (whispers) Angelina Jolie?s Versace at The Tourist premiere in NYC. Only Jolie?s long-sleeved, white, slitted dress didn?t make her look like a flat-chested box. (Whispers) like Gwyneth.
Don?t even ask me what?s going on in this photo. Whatever it is, it?s a tragedy. I don?t enjoy saying that, because I genuinely like Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, separately and as a couple. But whatever Faith has been doing to her face is tragic. And Tim? well, that is a very unconvincing piece.
Leighton Meester? I like you, girl, but just no. The dress is Dior, the fashion house that has become the go-to borrowed pieces for the red carpet lately. Unfortunately, people are flocking to what looks like the Spring collection, and the stuff is totally inappropriate for winter.
And lastly, Garrett Hedlund. No leopard-print vagina! BOO!

| Gwyneth Paltrow on Country Strong: 'This is the best job I?ve ever done' | Added 14 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Gwyneth Paltrow is the January cover girl for InStyle Magazine, to promote her lead role in Country Strong. My new happy place is picturing Goop?s face when she realized that Angelina Jolie got a Golden Globe nomination for Comedy/Musical and that she, Goop, got shut out. Anyway, Goopy still has a job to do, and that includes talking about her ?dear friends? and ?good friends? - because Goopy wants to remind us, once again, that she only associates with the very best. Goopy is the worst/best kind of name-dropping starf-cker.
Is a merger in the cards for two celebrity superstar families? Gwyneth Paltrow thinks so. She and her new BFF Faith Hill have spent so much time together lately that their children have bonded ? in a major way.
“Moses ? we might really become family when he marries Audrey!” Paltrow tells Hill, who interviewed her for January’s InStyle, on newsstands Friday. “My son is in love with your daughter!”
Paltrow is referring to her son Moses, 4, with husband and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, and Hill’s daughter Audrey, 9, with country superstar Tim McGraw. The two families grew close while Paltrow and McGraw were filming their upcoming movie Country Strong in Nashville.
“Don’t you just love our babies?” Hill, 43, asks her friend, who replies, “I love mine, and I love yours!”
Hill complimented Paltrow on her singing voice, which Paltrow says “didn’t have any power or strength to it” before she spent time developing for her role as a country star.
“I don’t even know how to respond to that in your presence, but thank you,” Paltrow says. “You know, last night when I was watching the film, I thought, this is the best job I’ve ever done. Normally I can’t stand to see myself, but with this film I felt like it all came together.”
Paltrow, 38, also dished on her Christmas plans, saying the family of four will hole up in their Amagansett, N.Y., home for some R&R.
“I’m excited,” she says. “We always get a big old tree and go see movies. It’s so cozy.” Another bonus to the holiday season? “The phone stops ringing and the emails stop coming.”
[From People]
?You know, last night when I was watching the film, I thought, this is the best job I’ve ever done.? Oh, Goopy is selling it HARD. How about this, Goopy: ?Usually I think I play myself and come across as a frozen, icy bitch on screen, but I was playing drunk and I had a twang, y?all. Go see my movie, please.? Goopy also tells InStyle: ?My kids are everything to me. I was so lucky to have great parents and I don’t know if I’ll be as good, but I’ll certainly try.” And: “I’m a clothes person and try to have fun with fashion. It’s like playing dress-up.” Of course.
By the way, all of you yelling at me for saying Goopy looked like ten kinds of hell at her Walk of Fame ceremony yesterday - seriously? She looked like hell. And don?t even try to tell me she just looks ?natural?. She looked ?Toxed and waxy. Just my opinion, I guess.

On Monday, Gwyneth Paltrow got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It?s surprising to me that she had never gotten one before - but seeing as how everyone seems to be getting one these days, and the celebrity has to pay for it themselves (or the studio does), perhaps Gwyneth never deigned to do something so utterly pedestrian before. The studio must have pushed for it, I think. A little extra promotion, a little reminder that Gwyneth is completely normal, I guess.
The photos from the ceremony are not good, though. When I started writing this, I went back and re-read CB?s Goop story from yesterday, where CB was bitching about Gwyneth?s makeup job in an interview. This Walk of Fame ceremony was an appropriate occasion for Goopy to perhaps get her makeup professionally done, but it doesn?t look like she even cared enough to bother. AND - Gwyneth needs to stop with this ?no roots? look - it washes her completely. She needs something a little darker at her scalp so that her white-blonde straw hair doesn?t completely blend in with her weak, pale, vitamin-deficient skin. Of course, the problem could totally be the low, winter sunlight not being Goopy?s friend. Something is making her look kind of haggard.
Tim McGraw was there too - he?s in Country Strong. He plays her husband. I like Tim a great deal, but what?s on his head? Is that a piece?

Her career has been booming as of late, and Gwyneth Paltrow was being doted with yet another top Tinseltown honor in Hollywood on Monday (December 13).
The ?Iron Man? actress was all smiles in a white dress and heels upon arrival and during the acceptance of her star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Clad in a classy white dress with heels, the Oscar winning actress was cheered on by quite the gathered crowd, which included country singing pal/co-star Tim McGraw and his lovely wife Faith Hill.
Meanwhile, due to Paltrow?s recent appearance on the hit show ?Glee,? the beautiful blonde admits she now has a new, younger group of fans.
Of this, she told Reuters, "The other day I was in Chicago doing this movie 'Contagion.' I was in my trailer, which was in a parking lot by a school, and there were these young girls who were like, 'Oh my God, you were on 'Glee!'"

| Gwyneth Paltrow 'played a role' in Gaylord Jwifty's relationship | Added 14 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Us Weekly?s print edition has another minor story on Jaylor/Gaylord Jwifty - the Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift romance. Last week, Us Weekly had the super-posed photos of Swifty and Jake wandering around arm-in-arm around New York, along with an absolutely hysterical article chock-full of quotes from Camp Swifty about Jake being the coffee-swirling love of her life. There was also a minor story about Jake and Swifty?s visit to the Gaylord hotel in Nashville, thus summarizing, however inappropriately and immaturely, my take on their relationship. Anyway, this week?s Us Weekly story is, as I said, minor, but that?s only because Gwyneth Paltrow is such a minor demon these days. According to their sources, Goopy played a part in getting Gaylord Jwifty together:
To welcome Jake Gyllenhaal and gal pal Taylor Swift to London during their secretive pre-Thanksgiving trip, Gwyneth Paltrow hosted a private party for the pair on November 13, an insider tells Hot Stuff.
?Jake and Taylor were driven from the Dorchester to Gwyneth?s and Chris Martin?s house in Primrose Hill for dinner,? says the insider. ?They stayed there for a few hours.?
Paltrow and Jake starred together in Proof and she also shared a dressing room with Swift at the CMAs.
?Gwyneth seems to have played a role in their relationship,? adds the source.
[From Us Weekly, print edition]
Gwyneth is at the bottom of it! It?s all part of her dastardly plan. Global domination, one beard at a time. But of course Gwyneth is friends with both Jake and Taylor. OF COURSE. She?s friends with everybody. Everybody WORTH being friends with. And of course she threw them a little ?party? too. I bet she even cooked! And decorated! And then washed the dishes with her perfect vagina.
By the way, Goopy?s new Goop newsletter is all about how she?s ?freezing her ass off? - and she recommends some cold-weather items for us. $1000 for Burberry boots? Of course! Oh, and Goopy has items in dollars and British pounds, of course. I?m surprised she didn?t throw a few items in dinar-only, just to be smug.
