When the mighty fall, I always laugh. Even when the people are only ?mighty? in their own minds. The insufferable Gwyneth ?Goop? Paltrow has deigned to slum it on the television machine! Of course, she agreed to appear on one of the biggest shows, Glee, and she is going to sing, which should be lovely for all of us. It is mandatory that we find it ?lovely? and ?special? - much as if royalty is visiting. Not only is Goopy going to slum it on Glee - she?ll be on for TWO episodes. Oh, MY. Seems our Dame Gwyneth really wants to sell her new movie, doesn?t she? Cracks in the armor, love?
As if the highly anticipated return of Fox’s Glee tomorrow night weren’t giddy-good enough, I can now confirm to you this fantastic casting news: Gwyneth Paltrow is in discussions to come on the show!
She’s going to sing. And dance. And many of you fans are going to completely freak out when you hear who she might be playing: Gwyneth will be a love interest of sorts for Matthew Morrison’s character, Will Schuester. According to rock-solid Glee sources, Gwyneth would play a substitute teacher in two episodes airing in November. Mr. Schuester gets sick, so Gwyneth’s character steps in and takes over the glee club. The kids love her, and Will starts to fall for her…complicating his relationship with Emma (Jayma Mays).
(We’ll pause while you diehard Will and Emma fans breathe into a paper bag.)
I’m told Glee creator/executive producer/creative badass Ryan Murphy wrote this role expressly for Gwyneth, as the two are friends. If it all comes together, Ryan will be directing her first episode, which begins shooting in two weeks.
Gwyneth also sings in a movie called Country Strong, which opens in December and is already garnering strong Oscar buzz. And of course, she’s no stranger to the Academy Awards, having already won one, along with that other Glee guest star who is in the works: Javier Bardem.
Hear that? It’s the sound of Sue Sylvester body-slamming a student into a locker upon hearing that someone more famous than her might be coming to McKinley High. Of course, everyone else has good cause to celebrate with some serious jazz hands, ’cause Glee’s second season just keeps sounding better and better. I’ve seen tomorrow night’s premiere episode and can tell you it does not disappoint.

Of COURSE Gwyneth is ?friends? with Ryan Murphy. Why didn?t I think of that? Of course Gwyneth wouldn?t deign to befriend any television ?actors? (?If you could call them that,? Goopy might quip). She would only befriend the creator, the writer, the executive producer of a hit television show.
That being said, I bet Gwyneth has a blast working on Glee. I bet we?ll be hearing about for months on Goop. I bet that all of the cast members will be forced to trot out and announce how much fun Gwyneth is in person, how special and lovely and smart and pretty, and how wonderful her voice is. Gwyneth probably had that written into the contract.

Now that she?s given the world a taste of her beautiful singing voice, Gwyneth Paltrow is set to guest-star in two November episodes of ?Glee.?
According to E! News, the ?Shallow Hal? actress will sing and dance as a substitute teacher/glee club coach who fills in for an ailing Mr Schuester.
Ms Paltrow?s upcoming film ?Country Strong? features the actress as a rehabbed country singer and will hit theaters this December.
Gwyn worked with ?Glee? creator Ryan Murphy in his 2006 film ?Running With Scissors.?

She?s always up to something, and yesterday (September 14) Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted exiting her New York City apartment to take care of some errands.
The ?Shakespeare in Love? actress looked cute and casual as she walked out her front door, accompanied by a male assistant.
The night before, Gwyneth headed over to Yankee Stadium to watch Jay-Z perform live in front of a packed crowd.
And earlier this week, Ms. Paltrow chatted with the owners of the New York City boutique Kirna Zabete about the upcoming fall fashions.

Gwyneth Paltrow dislikes so many things - peasants, sunlight, vitamins, getting her roots done, wearing anything that costs less than $1000. Pardon me, ?pound sterling? not dollars. She dislikes that she?s American. In Goopy?s mind, she British. And probably a little bit Spanish, with some Jewish thrown in. Thus, the Kabbalah. Because Goopy dislikes The Torah too. She will only practice mystical Judaism.
Guess what else Gwyneth dislikes? HORSES. Can you believe that? I figured the horse world would be right up Goopy?s alley, just because it?s all so expensive, and the clothes are great and it?s a reason to tower over people condescendingly (because you?re on a horse). But no, Gwyneth HATES horses. Horses are like the peasants of the animal world. But Gwyneth also HATES when a mother pushes her elitism onto her children, so Goopy deigns to allow her daughter Apple to ride. Ride with Stella McCartney, of course.
Gwyneth Paltrow may have fallen out with ex-best friend Madonna, but she and Stella McCartney are still as close as ever. The 37-year-old actress revealed that her daughter Apple is Stella?s biggest fan and the two share a passion for horse riding.
?Apple has turned into quite an equestrian and as I can?t bear horses or riding Stella takes her out,? Gwyneth told me at Stella?s Fashion Night Out party in aid of the charity Kids Company.
Apple, six, impressed the judges at the 35th Annual Hampton Classic Horse Show in Bridgehampton, New York, last weekend. She competed in the category known as Leadline, a division for the youngest riders.
Gwyneth, who is married to Coldplay?s Chris Martin, said: ?I sent Stella a picture of Apple having a riding lesson wearing a PETA T-shirt and said, ?She?s your child!?. They have really bonded.?
Stella is currently pregnant with her fourth child so won?t be riding for a while, but she told me: ?Apple?s gorgeous and really good on horseback. Better than that, I?ve turned her vegetarian.?

But this is such a strange story. ?I can?t bear horses.? I?m intrigued? why, Goopy, why? I know why I dislike horses, even though I love to watch them - I break out in a rash whenever I?m around horses and hay. I also start sneezing. So, I?m probably allergic to something - but I still enjoy looking at horses, and I can?t imagine ever saying ?I can?t bear horses.? ???

It?s been forever since we?ve had a good Gwyneth Paltrow story! She went on a Goop holiday for all of August, so the peasants basically had NO IDEA what to wear, eat, go or think for like six whole weeks. Plus, Gwyneth didn?t ever deign us with her presence out in public - God knows where she was all that time. Perhaps getting a little work done? Because she looks a little bit tweaked in these photos - she went out in London last night, stepping out to support her friend Stella McCartney, who was doing something or the other (what do I know?).
One very notable thing about these new Gwyneth photos - she looks really good. Fresh and pretty and? showing off her bra in a very low-cut crisp white blouse. Goopy boobs! It also looks like she?s wearing some kind of windbreaker cape-let? Weird. I thought Dame Goopy would break out in hives at the mere glance of synthetic fabrics, but the windbreaker is probably designed by Stella, and synthetic is okay as long as it costs a thousand dollars. But why the showing of the bra? I can?t believe Gwyneth would deign to pull such an uncouth, trashy move? almost Lohan-esque. Is Gwyneth trying to sex it up a bit? She has an agenda, trust me. I?m just too much of a peasant to understand it now.
Maybe she?s trying to get her husband?s attention? God knows where Chris Martin is. Although, I have to admit, I thought we?d be hearing about her split from Chris at this point in the program. I was wrong - Gwyneth and Chris saved their marriage. Good for them? Sure.
Also, her Goop newsletter this week - it?s all about fall fashion and shopping. Goopy is smart enough to give us a list of the ?budget? looks we should be buying this season, all reasonably affordable save the odd Stella McCartney four-figure purchase suggestion. Gwyneth also did a video with some ?friends? at a shop to talk, anthropologist-like, about what the peasants should wear. Chuckle? that really is what Gwyneth is like now, an anthropologist of peasants. She?s trying to learn from us, people! She?s studying how we live, so that she can suggest ways to make our little lives better. Anyway, the video? my favorite part is when Gwyneth says ?okay? in this absolutely condescending, snotty way when she?s told the women are ?J.Crew obsessed.” Enjoy:

Gearing up for weeks of fashionable happenings in the UK and New York City, Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted out at the Stella McCartney boutique in London, England on Wednesday evening (September 8).
The "Shakespeare In Love" actress looked to be in high spirits as she partook in the Fashion's Night Out festivities - which drew out fellow celebs including Laura Bailey, Thandie Newton, Olga Kurylenko and Jo Wood.
The outing comes just days before the September 10th broadcast of the Stand Up to Cancer telethon in the States - which Gwyneth made sure to take part in.
Other stars lending their names and time to the charitable event include George Clooney, Will Smith, Denzel Washington, Emily Deschanel and Renee Zellweger.

Joined by a couple gal pals including singer Faith Hill, the ?Iron Man? actress attempted to casually exit the eatery unnoticed but the sneaky paparazzi caught up with her just in time to snap a few pics.
Last week, Ms Paltrow hopped in a helicopter for a tour over Manhattan alongside new couple Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez.
And, as previously reported by GossipCenter, Gwyn recently discovered her singing talent during the filming of the upcoming movie ?Country Song.?
Although she didn?t plan for it, the hit went over so well, it is being released as a country single.

Spending time on the east coast of the States, Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted out and about in New York City on Wednesday (August 4).
Tending to her retail needs, the "Iron Man 2" actress shopped around town looking darling in a navy jacket, lilac top and olive trousers as she toted a custom bag with her GKPM initials adorning the side.
On the career front, Gwyneth is getting ready to film a new movie called "Contagion" while her next theatrical release happens to be the recently completed movie "Country Strong".
Due in theaters on December 22, "Country Strong" is described as "a drama centered on a rising country-music songwriter (Hedlund) who sparks with a fallen star (Paltrow). Together, they mount his ascent and her comeback, which leads to romantic complications involving her husband/manager (McGraw) and a beauty queen-turned-singer (Meester)."
Having recorded a song of the same name for the film - which has received has praise after a video leaked onto the web - Miss Paltrow replied to questions asking if she was aiming for a radio hit, saying, "No! What the he--? I was just singing songs for the movie."

She?s most known for her incredible acting skills, but Gwyneth Paltrow can sing too.
A video that was recently leaked onto the web showed the ?Shallow Hal? actress singing ?Country Strong,? a song from a soundtrack in a movie due out in December.
Her voice, which got great reviews, posed the question of whether she was going for a radio hit or not, to which Ms Paltrow responded, "No! What the he--?"
Although Gwyneth was extremely flattered from the reviews, she explained, "I was just singing songs for the movie."
In the film, ?Country Strong,? Paltrow plays Kelly Canter, a country music superstar aching for a comeback after rehab, with Tim McGraw playing her husband/manager.
