We?ve known for weeks about Gwyneth Paltrow?s visit to the television machine for peasants. Otherwise known as her guest appearance on Glee. She?s going to be on for two episodes, and it is unknown exactly who or what her character is going to be in the story line, although from what I?ve seen of Glee, ?story? isn?t what they?re selling. Anyway, Goopy is shilling her new movie, Country Strong, the film where she pretends to get loaded and twang it up like Britney Spears. She already deigned to sing ?country? for a music video, and she?s going to perform the same ?single? at the Country Music Awards next week (which should be delicious). Now Entertainment Weekly has a scoop on Goopy?s Glee appearance - specifically, what song she?s going to sing. Wait for it? Cee Lo Green?s hit single ?F-ck You?. Or, in Glee-speak, ?Forget You?. Ugh.
Gwyneth Paltrow will be singing Cee Lo Green?s ?F? You? on Glee in two weeks, Fox confirmed. I maintain this is a better song for Mr. Schue, but I?m officially curious. Perhaps it will be country strong!
The song is going to be sanitized to ?Forget You,? which is so substantially less catchy, and seeing the world?s poshest human sing about not being able to afford a Ferrari will provide some interesting cultural dissonance. But there?s a part of me that thinks this could be kind of adorable? If she is all sassy and campy about it? And it?s sort of joke-y? Hm.

Have you heard ?F-ck You?? It?s a great song. It?s soulful and funny and sassy. Would you use any of those words to describe Goopy? That being said, I bet Lea Michele is quaking in her boots with Goopy?s appearance. Lea Michele wishes she could bring Goopy?s level of snotty bitchery to the world. But, to give Lea a break, I will say this: Gwyneth has had decades to practice her snottiness. Lea seems new to the smug game.

Currently situated on the west coast, Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted making her way around Beverly Hills, California on Thursday (October 21).
Looking casual cute in a grey top, faded olive jacket, jeans and flip-flops, the "Iron Man 2" actress was accompanied by a security staffer as she visited a local medical building before continuing along with the day's agenda.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Miss Paltrow recently was announced as a performer at the 44th Annual Country Music Association Awards on Wednesday, November 10.
Set to treat the audience to a live rendition of her song ?Country Strong? (from her upcoming movie), Gwyn recently shared that she was taken aback by how well received the song was by Sony Music Nashville honcho Joe Galante.
She said, ?[When Joe heard the song] he was like, ?I want to release this as a single.? I was like, ?Excuse me please? What? What is going on???

I pretty much called it - I said that it would make my life if Gwyneth Paltrow had to deign to promote her country-music film Country Strong at one of the country music awards shows, and here we go. Us Weekly is confirming that Goopy will not only be in attendance at the CMAs next month, but that she will PERFORM. How delightful! Oh, this day just keeps getting better!
Gear up, Gwyneth fans: She’s making her live country singing debut. The actress, 38, is set to perform the title track from her upcoming drama, Country Strong, at The 44th Annual CMA Awards Wed., Nov. 10 (8:00-11:00 p.m. EST) on ABC. She will be joined by legendary singer Vince Gill.
A few days later, on Nov. 16, she makes her debut on Fox’s Glee. Paltrow has said she is shocked at the positive reception to her singing voice. When Sony Music Nashville chair Joe Galante first heard her sing “Country Strong,” “he was like, ‘I want to release this as the single,’” she recently told EW. “I was like, ‘Excuse me please? What? What is going on?’”
Paltrow’s drama, Country Strong, hits the big screen in December.

Since I?m calling things, I?ll say this: at some point during Goopy?s performance, the camera will pan to either Faith Hill or Carrie Underwood, and they will be making a major bitchface. My guess is Carrie, but Faith is a solid possibility, considering Tim McGraw is in Country Strong, and considering that Goopy is all ?my dear friend Faith.? Here?s the video again? Goopy can?t even deign to have big country hair!

Last night was the big event for Elle Magazine?s ?Women In Hollywood?. Gwyneth Paltrow was one of several honorees (also included: Diane Keaton and Annette Benning). There was some particularly bad fashion that I?ll get to in other posts. Right now I want to make it all about Gwyneth?s Pumpkin Goop. Paltrow wore this pumpkin-colored fitted dress to the event. It?s kind of ?Wow!!? moment for me. I never would have picked this color for any woman, let alone for Gwyneth for a red carpet event? and yet, Goopy pulls it off, doesn?t she? You wouldn?t think that pumpkin would be one of her colors, but she looks really cute and surprisingly chic in orange. Does anyone else kind of wish she would chop her hair off again, though? I?m a little tired of the long hair, parted in the center. Also, look at the back of the dress:
Surprisingly sexy! Very chic, Goopy. Well done.
In addition to the Women In Hollywood event, Goopy also went out to dinner last night, and she went for an old-faithful color - shades of grey. Now that I?ve seen her in orange, I want more pops of color.

Stepping out for some midday fun on the west coast, Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted arriving at Il Cielo restaurant in Beverly Hills, CA on Monday (October 18).
The "Iron Man 2" actress smiled and waved for paparazzi while escorted into the popular eatery for an event taking place at the Burton Way locale.
Also keeping busy with career endeavors, Miss Paltrow has been involved in portraying a substitute teacher named Mary Todd Lincoln for an upcoming guest spot on the hit FOX show "Glee".
She 's also readying for the theatrical release of her new movie "Country Strong" - which has a holiday release date set for December 22, 2010.

The ?Shakespeare in Love? hottie is starring in a new movie about an alcoholic country music star, and the title track is evidence that she?s got some serious pipes.
Gwyn credits her husband Chris Martin for helping her prepare for the role. ?He was so helpful, so sweet, and encouraging.?
Paltrow even learned to play the guitar for the role. ?I mean it?s embarrassing to be playing in front of your husband, especially when he?s in one of the world?s most successful bands.?

Elle Magazine?s November issue is devoted to ?Women In Hollywood? (full slideshow here). They profile four women - Kate Hudson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Hilary Swank, and Sofia Coppola. Now? do these four (rich, privileged, white) women represent Hollywood as we know it? Um, not really. But they all have projects to promote, so they were picked. Gwynth?s little interview excerpts are especially interesting - poor Goopy had to deal with a douchey dude who wanted to have sex with her in exchange for a part! Poor Goopy! That dude had no idea Steven Spielberg is her godfather.
Q. Have you ever had a casting-couch experience?
A. Yup. When I was just starting out, someone suggested that we finish a meeting in the bedroom. I left. I was pretty shocked. I could see how someone who didn?t know better might worry, ?My career will be ruined if I don?t give this guy a blow job!?
Q. How do you feel about the kinds of roles available to women today?
A. Kind of dejected. There?s a lot that?s okay, but there?s little that?s really good, especially for someone my age. Sometimes you find out that something you really liked is going to someone 10 years younger. I find it heartening that Meryl Streep and Sandra Bullock have been able to find and create amazing projects.
Q. How do you balance work and motherhood?
A. It?s really hard. One night in Nashville, my son was screaming with a terrible stomachache. I was like, ?I have to get out of here!? but we had to finish. My friend Jenno, a mother of three who was producing, was great, reminding me that nine times out of 10, they just have gas

Whoa? Sandra Bullock is only a few years older than Gwyneth! Did Gwyneth just throw Sandy under the bus as an ?older woman? who is still getting roles, like Meryl? Meryl and Sandra have one really great thing going for them: people (women and men) love them and want to see their films. Meanwhile, it feels like Gwyneth is bitching about not being cast for the same old ?ingnue? roles she got when she was starting out. Not that her general argument doesn?t have merit - it totally does. But in Goop?s case, I tend to think she?s not getting good parts not because of her age, but because she?s insufferable, and no one wants to see her in a movie where she isn?t secondary fashion porn to Robert Downey Jr.

After weeks of speculation, it was recently confirmed that Gwyneth Paltrow will make an appearance on FOX?s hit show ?Glee.?
During an interview on Sunday (September 26), Creator Ryan Murphy told Us magazine that it is a done deal, saying, ?Yes, it?s true!?
Elaborating on her upcoming character, Murphy told, ?She is going to be playing a substitute teacher who Matt Morrison?s character falls for.?
Adding an exciting tidbit, Ryan also revealed that Gwyn "will be doing 3 or 4 solos.?

Gwyneth Paltrow is in talks to play a substitute teacher who fills in for the Glee kids’ coach, Will Schuester, while he is ill.
Schuester, played by Matthew Morrison, develops a crush on Paltrow’s character despite his romance with another teacher.
The episodes featuring Paltrow’s character are set to air in November.
