Fresh-faced and ready to go, a makeup-less Gwyneth Paltrow took to the New York City set of "Thanks For Sharing" this morning (October 13).
Channeling her inner rock star, the "Country Strong" actress donned a distressed black leather jacket, skinny jeans and black ankle boots as she arrived for the day's filming.
As for the film itself, the comedy centers on a trio of people who undergo a 12-step treatment plan for their addition to sex and end up sparking up meaningful relationships on their route to recovery.
Eying a 2012 debut, the Stuart Blumberg flick also stars Mark Ruffalo, Josh Gad, Tim Robbins, Pink and Joely Richardson.

Here are some new photos of Gwyneth Paltrow not being the perfect mother in NYC yesterday. I mean, would a perfect mother ever LEAVE her children? I actually have no idea if Moses and Apple are in NYC with their mom, or if they stayed in London with the completely unnecessary nanny (unnecessary because their mom is so perfect!). Anyway, Goop is still filming Thanks For Sharing in New York, and although these photos are labeled ?from the set? I have no idea if Gwyneth is wearing a costume or if these are her real clothes. Either way, doesn?t Gwyneth look thin? She takes that as a compliment, but seriously? she looks really thin all of a sudden. I remember her old body had hips, and it wasn?t so? Middleton-esque. Maybe it was seeing her in spandex (how peasanty) the other day, but I?ve been noticing Goop?s weight loss. She usually looks fit and toned. But in these skinny jeans, she has a touch of The Bosworth.
Also - today is Goop day! I sort of enjoyed the Goop-letter this week, but that?s probably because I stopped reading three paragraphs in. Goop is all about art this week!
I was connected to Maria Brito recently and thought she would be an ideal GOOP editor. I personally have so many questions about collecting contemporary art and this is Maria’s business?advising her clients on how to start an inspiring and affordable collection. Below, you will find all of her tips and great hook ups for GOOP readers.
And, as an aside, I interviewed the great contemporary artist Ellsworth Kelly for Interview Magazine out this month, which was a real high point for me. He is an artist who has been inspiring me since I was a kid. It was an honor. There is a little excerpt and a link to the interview below.
Love, gp

You can read the rest of it here at Goop. There are pictures too, in case you just want to look at pictures. There?s one beautiful photo of London that I kind of want. As for the wisdom of Dame Gwyneth deigning to explain art to the peasants? I don?t know. I didn?t find it as offensive as when she recommended thousands of dollars worth of designer clothes for us to update our wardrobes. Goop gets a pass from me on this one!

There are twenty-million new photos of Gwyneth Paltrow and Mark Ruffalo (mostly Gwyneth) on the NYC film set of Thanks For Sharing. They were filming in Central Park yesterday, in a scene that seems to have involved Dame Goop deigning to ?jog? and ?ride a velocipede? (her words). So what?s the big deal? A few things - one, Gwyneth looks cute in these photos. I?ve begun to think she?s almost always prettier when she?s not all Goop?d up for a red carpet. When her hair is out of the ponytail, she looks especially good. Whoever is doing the makeup for the film is doing a bang-up job.
As for the film, did you know that Gwyneth plays a sex addict? How gauche! Thanks for Sharing stars Goop, Ruffalo, Tim Robbins, Joely Richardson and Pink, amongst others. The plot:
Dramatic comedy follows a group of unlikely friends brought together through their shared determination to recover from sex addiction as they try to forge meaningful relationships for the first time in their lives?. Paltrow will play Phoebe, a successful businesswoman who falls for Ruffalo’s character, while Richardson will play Katie, the wife of Robbins’ character.

The director is Stuart Blumberg, who also wrote the screenplay - he was nominated for an Oscar for his The Kids Are All Right screenplay. Did we ever talk about Kids? I thought it was a really overrated film - yes, Annette and Julianne Moore were great, but the script had big issues.
Anyway, here are some more photos of Gwyneth and Mark flirting away, on and off-camera. I bet Mark likes Gwyneth in general, because she always seems to charm other actors, but I?ve got to wonder about their potential for long-term friendship. Mark is an urban hippie who lives a quiet life with his wife and kids. Dame Gwyneth is a self-styled princess who bathes herself in luxury. Now THAT has potential for a romantic comedy.
Oh, and I have no comment on this:

Kicking off their day bright and early, Gwyneth Paltrow and Mark Ruffalo were spotted filming scenes for ?Thanks for Sharing? in New York City on Tuesday (October 11).
The ?Shallow Hal? hottie and the ?Shutter Island? stud were situated in Central Park for this particular scene, as they shared several laughs together with Miss Paltrow stretching out her gams.
As for the movie, the comedy centers around a support group for sex addicts who try and beat their addictions and form meaningful relationships for the first time ever along the way.
Due out sometime in 2012, ?Thanks for Sharing? also stars Josh Gad, Tim Robbins, Joely Richardson and Pink.

After spending the past week at multiple UK parties, Gwyneth Paltrow and Cameron Diaz were side-by-side as they flew out of Heathrow Airport in London on Sunday (October 9).
The two blonde actresses trekked through the outbound terminal to board an aircraft bound for New York City after having attended an Arts Club party for 90-year-old Prince Philip on Wednesday night followed by Stella McCartney's 40th birthday bash on Thursday.
Causing quite the sight to be seen at the Arts Club soiree, reports tell that Gwyneth belted out the non-family friendly version of Cee Lo Green's hit song "Forget You" during the course of the festivities.
According to the Daily Mail, Paltrow is said to have turned to fellow guest, the Duke of Edinburgh, as she jokingly said, "I hope you don't mind the lyrics - don't tell the Queen!"
Intent on seeing the performance, the Duke even stayed past his expected departure date to catch Gwyneth's singing effort, as the insider told, "The Duke had been due to leave at around 10pm but he was enjoying himself so much that he stayed for an extra half hour to listen to all of Gwyneth's songs."

| Gwyneth Paltrow 'performed' for royalty - she?ll be insufferable after this | Added 13 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Gwyneth Paltrow, otherwise known as Mrs. Elton and Queen of the Humble-brag, has now performed for royalty. Meaning that she sang for Prince Phillip, the Queen?s husband. Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh, is 90 years old, and he reportedly has a long-time soft-spot for leggy blondes. So I wonder what his reaction to Gwyneth?s ?performance? was? Well, he spoke to her after she performed, so I guess he liked it - you can see photos of that here. But you know what this means, right? Future Goop newsletters in which Gwyneth refers to her ?dear special friend, His Royal Highness, the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Phillip Mountbatten? (because Goop is obsessed with using everyone?s formal names). Goop will be so smug after this. Here?s more from The Mail:
When Cee Lo Green released his single F*** You, he knew he would have to come up with a clean version for the radio edit of the track. And so, when it came to Gwyneth Paltrow performing the song on hit US TV show Glee, she belted out the child-friendly version Forget You. But there was no such censorship on Wednesday night, when the actress opted to perform the foul-mouthed version of the song at a party in Mayfair in front of royal guests which included Prince Philip.
Before performing the song, Gwyneth, 39, turned to the Duke of Edinburgh and joked: ‘I hope you don’t mind the lyrics - don’t tell the Queen!’
Apparently Prince Philip, 90, was so enamoured with Hollywood actress Gwyneth that he changed his plans to stay later than he had originally intended to so he could hear her perform.
A source told the Daily Telegraph: ‘The Duke had been due to leave at around 10pm but he was enjoying himself so much that he stayed for an extra half hour to listen to all of Gwyneth’s songs.’
And it seems the feeling was mutual, as Gwyneth also appeared to be very fond of the Duke.
The source added: ‘Gwyneth clearly enjoyed his company and was chatting away to him as if he was an old uncle. The Duke had a real twinkle in his eye and was having such a good time that after he made his speech he stayed on for a concert downstairs for an hour or so.’
Gwyneth and the Queen’s husband are both members and patrons of the swanky members-only establishment on London’s Dover Street.
[From The Mail]
Ugh, she?s going to be so much more insufferable after this. Why is it that all of these important people (Phillip, Mark Ronson) think Gwyneth?s voice is so great? It?s not. I mean, she can carry a tune, but her voice is basically just a good karaoke voice, not ?performing for the Duke? good.
Can?t you just hear it now? ?My dear friend Phillip Mountbatten asked me to just call him Dukesy, but I can?t! Anyway, Phillip told me that I needed to perform for him more often, I apparently make him feel like a young man. And I asked, ?Oh, you poor dear, you?re so terribly old! I shall cook for you!? And he agreed. So now I?m organizing a little dinner party for he and Elizabeth Windsor-Mountbatten. I shall use my outdoor pizza grill and it shall be so unbelievable quaint. I?ll invite the Dalai Lama and Naomi Campbell to round out the dinner party. I’ll sing after dinner!?

| Gwyneth Paltrow and Ryan Murphy to Make a Musical Together | Added 13 years ago | Source: The Blemish |

Like some sort of gay, show tune-singing Voltron, Gwyneth Paltrow and Ryan Murphy are combining their powers of dance and song and collaborating again. This time on a musical movie. Maybe.
“We want to do a musical together,” Murphy told me at the Emmys. “An original?I want to write an original movie for Gwyneth and Maya Rudolph, both of whom I’m great friends with.”
He smiled, “That’s all I will say.” — E!
This will no doubt bring joy to the hearts of every Glee fan who have long asked themselves, “why hasn’t this already happened?!,” as they attempt to push their way out of the trash can they’re stuffed in.

A few years ago, in the early days of Gwyneth Paltrow?s GOOP newsletter (what halcyon days those were), Dame Goop deigned to name-drop, as she often does. Except that the name she dropped made everybody do a big ?WTF?? Goop made reference to Billy Joel?s then-wife, Katie Lee Joel, and mentioned Billy in passing, writing, ?The summer before last, a mutual friend brought the lovely Katie Lee Joel and her husband William over for dinner. Much to my delight, she brought a fresh batch of these cookies with her. I adore the contrast of the dark chocolate and the cherries — heaven.” William Joel. Because Dame Goop thinks it?s gauche and peasanty to refer to someone as their nickname or stage name or the name they prefer to be called. At the time, Billy Joel?s rep basically said that no one ever calls him William and that Goop is an idiot (I?m paraphrasing).
Anyway, yesterday Lenny Kravtiz tweeted this photo (below) with the message, ?The only person in the world that calls me Leonard.? You guessed it.
Is the point that Gwyneth simply is too elegant and classy to exist in our modern world, what with the abundance of tacky ?nicknames?? Probably. I think there?s another point, though: that Gwyneth is super-cool. She?s so cool that she hangs out with Leonard Kravitz and William Joel and Beyonce Knowles and Christopher Martin. She?s so super-cool that not only does she hang out with all of these super-cool people (who all think she is amazing, did she mention that?), she also tries to teach these super-cool people some old-fashioned class, like calling people by their proper, Christian names.
Also: I wonder if she refers to her exes as William Bradley Pitt and Benjamin Geza Affleck? Does she always call her husband Chris, or Christopher?
