Giving a lucky crowd quite the special treat, Gwyneth Paltrow surprised the audience at the ?Glee Live? concert in New Jersey on Thursday night (June 16).
The ?Country Strong? singer took the stage unannounced at the Izod Center and sang her rendition of Cee-Lo Green's ?Forget You.?
In addition, the concert was recorded and will be featured in a 3-D big screen version of the tour to be released later in the summer.
As you can imagine, the crowd went wild as they realized it was Paltrow belting out her good pal Cee-Lo's hit song.

Here?s a question for those of you who like Glee: why in the world would you need to see these people perform live in some kind of concert situation? Yes, some of them had good voices. But after watching them in the comfort of your own home, on television, why would you feel the need to see them in person? It?s not like they?re actually performing songs that they wrote, and it doesn?t seem like they?re performing these songs in a way any different than the television versions. So, why?
Anyway, the Glee tour is in full-effect, because if there?s one thing great about hiring 30-year-olds to play high schoolers, it?s that you can get past all of those tricky child labor laws and simply work your cast to death, year-round. According to Just Jared, the cast was in the middle of a concert in East Rutherford, New Jersey yesterday when Gwyneth Paltrow snotted her way onto the stage to sing her new Goop standard, ?Forget You?. This song is dead, right? Goop killed it long ago:
Dame Gwyneth really is living the dream. That dream? Of performing before endless crowds of rapt peasants.
Sidenote: I had my hissy fit about Glee concerts before I read this - apparently, this concert in New Jersey was part of the Glee Live! 3D concert movie that is currently being filmed. Ah, that?s why Gwyneth came. Because she?ll do anything for a movie part these days.

| Gwyneth Paltrow, lobster-faced in J. Mendel: awful, unflattering or?? | Added 13 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I was going to wait to cover these new photos of Gwyneth Paltrow until I had gotten a chance to look at this week?s GOOP-letter, but whatever. These are photos of Gwyneth attending the ?Bent of Learning? benefit last night. Something about Zen and yoga, I think. Her dress is J. Mendel, and good God is it fug and unflattering. This is something I have never understood about Gwyneth: she works out for HOURS every day and neurotically obsesses over her diet, so why does she consistently choose styles that don?t flatter her figure? This dress ADDS weight on her slender frame. Perhaps she?s trying to look ?fat? so that she can appeal to chunky peasants?
Now let?s talk about her face. LOBSTER GOOP. That?s what it is. In Gwyneth?s mind, she resembles an exquisite Pink diamond (not like the tacky one Ben Affleck gave J. Lo, Goop sniffs), but in truth, the bitch just needs to remember her sunscreen.
Ahhh, she just released her Goop. It?s about Father?s Day, because Gwyneth will absolutely exhaust you with tales about her late father, and barely mention that she was also raised by a mother who adored her and enabled her as well. Poor Blythe Danner. Gwyneth probably tells Blythe that she?s fat too. Or maybe Goop is still pissed that her mom is descended from peasants. Anyway, you can read this week?s Goop here - it?s an interview with her very dear friend, the editor in chief of Bon Appetit. She also shills for her cookbook.

Shame and embarrassment are great motivators. Seems Gwyneth Paltrow realizes this because those are the two tools she used to get her friend Ross Matthews to lose weight.
Last November, Ross was taping a Chelsea Lately special with Paltrow when she, “pointed at my tummy and said, ‘What’s going on here? I love you. Get it together.’” A little c**ty but Matthews hit up Jenny Craig and lost 50 pounds dropping from 220 to 180.
“I was clueless about eating healthy before,” he says. “Now I’m making good choices.”
Even Paltrow has noticed the change. “I saw her when she was promoting her cookbook recently,” says Mathews. “She was so excited. She said, ‘You look good!’ ”
And she’s right: The comic has changed the way he eats, added exercise to his day and reached his goal weight of 180 lbs.
“The weight was such a shameful issue for me,” he admits. “I’m so happy to be rid of it.”
He’s also gone healthy. “I started walking rather than driving to get my coffee,” says the L.A. resident. “I liked it so much, I do it for 45 minutes every day … You know those annoying people who are like, ‘If I don’t work out I feel … ugh’? I might be becoming one of those people. [PEOPLE]
Gwyneth Paltrow should just release a workout book where all it does when you open it is shout, “You’re fat! Fatty fat fat fat! Hey fatty, want a cookie? You’re disgusting. Get it together!” She’ll be like the Tony Robbins of fat people but instead of instilling self-confidence, she’ll tear down their self-esteem until they either do something about it or commit suicide.

“Why are you so fat? I don’t understand.” - Goop
I barely know who comedian Ross Mathews is. I think I know who he is, I should say. He talks with a high-pitched voice, right? And he once worked for The Tonight Show? Well, he?s on Chelsea Lately (a step down?) and he?s in the midst of getting himself into shape, which I admire. He?s now a spokesperson for Jenny Craig, and he seems pretty happy. But back in November of last year, he had not yet started on his weight loss journey. Back then, he was just a slightly overweight comedian who happened to run into Gwyneth Paltrow. Gwyneth?s mind must have been blown - I mean, here she was, standing in front of one of the fat peasants she had often imagined while toiling away at her aspirational Goop-letters. So Dame Gwyneth decided to speak up! According to Ross, Dame Goop pointed at his stomach and said, ?What’s going on here? I love you. Get it together.? THUS SPOKETH THE GOOP. Don?t sugar-coat it or anything, Gwyneth. Just be a full-on bitch.
Last November, Gwyneth Paltrow gave Ross Mathews, the late night TV comic from Chelsea Lately ? a little tough love.
“We were taping a Chelsea special,” Mathews, 31, tells PEOPLE, “and she pointed at my tummy and said, ‘What’s going on here? I love you. Get it together.”
That was all the motivation needed by Mathews ? who was tipping the scales at around 220 lbs. After seeing his friend Sara Rue lose 50 lbs. on Jenny Craig, he signed up in January to be the diet company’s newest spokesperson.
“And I’ve become a master chef,” adds Mathews. “I make a vegetable medley. I have actually started gardening. I have tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, green peppers, strawberries and blueberries.”
He’s even inspired someone else to get healthy. “My mom has joined Jenny Craig and is going to the gym now,” says Mathews. “She’s doing incredible. She’s half way to her goal.”
But the best perk of all? “When I look in the mirror,” he says, “I’m proud that I look healthy and happy.”
[From People]
Over the years, I?ve been various weights, and when I?ve had some extra poundage, I?ve had bitchy things said to me about my extra weight. The best way to respond is to attack, letting your full-on C-U-Next-Tuesday rage: ?Yeah, I have been eating too much fried chicken lately. I?m starting to look like the chick your boyfriend is boning behind your back. That must suck, to feel like you?re too skinny and flat-chested to keep a man interested.? If someone (Goop) had come up to me, pointed at my stomach and said ?What’s going on here? I love you. Get it together,? I would have started crying, and then punched her in face. You just don?t say that crap to people, honestly. I?m a raging bitch, and even I think that?s wrong. I mean, sure, maybe it was the ?wakeup call? Ross needed to get healthier (although in my opinion, he really wasn?t all that heavy to begin with), but Gwyneth didn?t say it to him because she wants him to have a better life. She said it to him because his weight offended her deeply, as all of our peasanty lifestyles offend her.
Of course, the real answer is to say something equally cruel to Gwyneth. My choice would be to point at her biscuits and say ?What’s going on here? Nothing? No one wants to be around it, especially your husband? I hate you. Get it together.?

She's known for her passion of all things culinary, and Gwyneth Paltrow landed herself the cover of the June 2011 issue of Bon Appetit magazine.
The Oscar-winning actress strapped on her apron while talking about cooking in her bold Mediterranean blue kitchen - which is on the ground floor of a double-wide London townhouse.
Keeping it simple when it comes to whipping up meals, Gwyneth offered a tip by saying, "Maldon sea salt, olive oil, and lemon can make anything taste great."
As for what she uses to chop things up, the 38-year-old told, "I really only use Global knives. If I go to friends' houses and use different knives, I always manage to cut myself."
With many more recipes available at Bon Appetit, Paltrow makes a to-die-for Grilled Chicken with Peach BBQ Sauce dish. Using a barbecue sauce with adobo for herself and her husband and soy for the kids, Paltrow said, "You can use it on basically anything grilled."
Directions to make the meal serving 4 are as follows:
Ingredients
1 cup chopped peeled fresh peaches or 9-10 ounces frozen sliced peaches, thawed, chopped
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons adobo sauce from canned chipotle chiles in adobo or 1 teaspoon soy sauce
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
4 skinless, boneless organic chicken breasts
Vegetable oil
ingredient info
Canned chipotle chiles in adobo are sold in better supermarkets and at specialty foods stores and Latin markets.
Preparation
Combine first 5 ingredients in a small saucepan. Season lightly with salt and pepper and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low; simmer until peaches are very soft and flavors meld, about 10 minutes. Remove pan from heat; let cool. Pour peach mixture into a blender and pure until smooth. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Place half the sauce in a medium bowl; add the chicken and turn to coat. Let marinate at room temperature for 20 minutes, or cover and chill for up to 8 hours, turning occasionally. Cover and refrigerate remaining sauce.
Prepare a grill to medium-high heat. Brush grill rack with oil. Grill chicken until browned and almost cooked through, 4-5 minutes per side. Brush on all sides with reserved sauce; grill until glazed and cooked through, 1-2 minutes per side. Slice crosswise. Serve remaining sauce alongside.

| Gwyneth Paltrow uses Goop to take on Biblical readings of homosexuality | Added 13 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I?m not going to make fun of Gwyneth Paltrow in this post! Sorry, Goop-Love-To-Haters. This is one of the rare occasions where Gwyneth?s weekly GOOP newsletter is really interesting. In this week?s very special GOOP, Gwyneth and her dear BFF, her favorite fisherman, Jesus ?H.? Christ tackle homosexuality (that was wrong, I apologize). Gwyneth - who is currently Jewish by blood on her dad?s side, and by choice because of Kabbalah - decided to focus this week?s GOOP on the various religious interpretations of Biblical teachings on homosexuality. It?s pretty good. Here?s Gwyneth?s forward, and you can read the full GOOP-letter here.
A few months ago, in the heat of the tragic teen suicides that came about from intolerance of homosexuality, I saw a man on television who was apologizing for wishing death on gays from his facebook page. This member of an Arkansas school board was contrite for the violence in his words, but maintained that his values pertaining to homosexuality would remain, as he felt homosexuality was condemned in the bible. This concept, while foreign to me, is interesting, as it used to justify so much judgement and separation in our society. When my daughter came home from school one day saying that a classmate had two mommies, my response was, “Two mommies? How lucky is she?!” What does it actually say in the bible that will cause some people to be upset by my line of thinking?
Happy pride.
Love,
gp
[From GOOP]
After that, Gwyneth and Jesus sit back and eat some grilled chicken, fresh from her must-have outdoor wood-burning oven, and Goop & JC let the scholars take over. Cynthia Bourgeault (Episcopal priest, writer and retreat leader), Michael Berg (a Kabbalah scholar and author), and Father Vincent C. Schwahn (an ordained priest in the Episcopal Church) all take on the philosophical, moral and religious issue of God and Gays, and then Gwyneth makes a point about ?including a more conservative voice? and instead of simply contacting one of the many anti-gay religious people, she just excerpts from Dr. John Stott?s book, Issues Facing Christians Today. I?m telling you, this GOOP was a good read. I like the way Gwyneth handled it.

| Does Gwyneth Paltrow need to ditch her flat-iron? | Added 13 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I showed one of these photos yesterday, but I didn?t identify where it came from. Yesterday, Gwyneth attended the ?Flower Show For Peasants? (also known as the Chelsea Flower Show) in England. Dame Goop was there to shill her cook book to the English peasants. She did not look thrilled about it, in my opinion. I think Goop is kind of ?over? this whole ?promoting one?s book in a tour of the peasant shopping districts? thing. I didn?t really hate Goop?s outfit - white jacket, white blouse, khaki pants, heels (okay, the pants are totally fug). But I hate her hair. She?s still flat-ironing it! Goop and Jennifer Aniston have that in common - they?re both so 1990s with their flat-irons.
Also: can you tell how much Gwyneth hates posing with her book? Like, she?s ashamed to be at this event with all of these authentic English people and she feels like a dirty American peasant trying to make a buck. That?s what she is, though.
Meanwhile, an ACTUAL Dame, Dame Helen Mirren was also at the Chelsea Flower event too. She was invited because a carnivorous plant was being named in her honor. Damn, Dame Helen is so awesome even botanists are like ?let?s name this man-eating plant after Helen Mirren.?

| Gwyneth Paltrow might not deign to record a country album for peasants | Added 13 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

For months now, we?ve been hearing about Gwyneth Paltrow?s desire to sign a recording contract and record a country album. For real. Because when you think ?country? you totally think of a half-Jewish, flat-ironed bottle blonde who lives in London and NYC and extols the virtues of ?must-have? $18,000 wardrobes and endless juice detoxes. That just screams ?country? to me. Anyway, from what I gather, Gwyneth made a lot of noise about wanting to record an album and several labels took the bait and offered her various contracts. Some even claimed that she was being offered a $900,000 signing deal. Now Page Six reports that Goop?s recording contract is no longer in play, and that it all came down to how BUSY she is and how she wanted so much money for the pleasure of having her deign to twang it up for us peasants:
Gwyneth Paltrow’s talks for a record deal with Atlantic Records have crumbled, sources confirmed to Page Six.
We reported in March that the “Country Strong” star was close to a deal with the label to record a country album. But a source told us, “Atlantic bosses were very interested, and [Atlantic owner] Warner chief Lyor Cohen was very supportive. But then the talks halted and the deal fizzled out. There was a rumor that Paltrow wanted $1 million to sign, but that is a ridiculous figure. Atlantic is still interested in signing her.”
It’s believed the Oscar winner was distracted by other opportunities in her busy career, including possible movie roles and her new cookbook. There’s even buzz she might turn up for a few surprise appearances on this summer’s “Glee” tour.
Paltrow’s rep told us, “Atlantic was not the only company pursuing her, and she still has not decided if she wants to record an album,” adding, it “is still something she is considering.”
[From Page Six]
Classic Goop with her rep?s line, right? ?Atlantic was not the only company pursuing her, and she still has not decided if she wants to record an album.? Meaning, ?Everybody wants Gwyneth, because she?s so fabulous and important and such an amazing singer and people are just WAITING IN LINE to hear some of her goopy lyrics, but she is still undecided as to whether those peasants are important enough.?
At the end of the day, I just hate her voice. I hate her speaking voice and her singing voice. While technically she?s a half-decent (but not great) singer, you can tell that she thinks she?s super-talented vocally, like she?s a blonder, skinnier, more important Adele. And THAT is pathetic. Here are some Classic Goop performances. That Glee clip makes me want to gouge out my eardrums.
