| Gwyneth Paltrow covers Pharrell Williams' 'Happy' for Glee: how does she sound' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Gwyneth Paltrow will appear on tonight?s hour-long episode of Glee. It?s the 100th episode of the show, so apparently there will be some big show-stopping numbers, big-name guest stars and such. To preview the episode, Glee producers released the audio of Gwyneth covering Pharrell Williams? Oscar-nominated song ?Happy?. Previously, Gwyneth has covered Adele?s ?Turning Tables,? which was sacrilegious to me just because that song is really beautiful and Gwyneth?s voice is nowhere near as strong as Adele?s. Anyway, here?s Gwyneth?s Glee version of ?Happy?:
I think? this is not good. Gwyneth?s voice isn?t strong enough for this song either and it sounds very filtered and like they used a lot of studio magic to make her sound less screechy and nasal. And here?s what I never understand about Glee: why do they cover so many songs with the same basic musical arrangement as the original songs?
Gwyneth also submitted her ?Spring Playlist? to Jay-Z?s Life + Times site. You can see her Spring Mix here. She lists: The National, Beyonce, Haim, Haerts and more.
Oh, and Gwyneth and Chris have reportedly bought a $14 million beach house in Malibu too. You can see photos here ? it?s really beautiful. The tennis court seems a bit unnecessary (Malibu space is at a premium).

| Gwyneth Paltrow was always a Mean Girl princess, her former classmates claim | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

This is going to come as a shock to you. You might want to sit down. It turns out that Gwyneth Paltrow was always a smug, elitist a?hole, even when she was very, very young. She was the original Mean Girl. She always believed that she was a princess destined to be recognized as the best and the most beautiful in all the land. And what?s funny is that even at an age when most girls are struggling with self-esteem issues and body image issues, Gwyneth was exactly the kind of smug narcissist you would imagine her to be. Imagine mini-Goop, telling her private school classmates that she was cast as a princess because that?s just who she is real life. That?s what really happened.
Gwyneth Paltrow has been earning reputation as a woman not to mess with in Hollywood but RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that her ?mean girl? ways started all the way back in middle school, where she was one student that the other girls were always afraid of.
While a teenager, the a-list actress attended a tony private school in Los Angeles and she was apparently always as self-important as she is now.
?Gwyneth always seemed like she thought she was better than the rest of us,? a former classmate told Radar about the GOOP founder.
?She was in a play where she had the princess role and she told another girl in school that ?of course? she was playing that role because she was a princess and the other girl was not and that?s why she didn?t get the role. No one was surprised, she was so smug, even back then.?
Embroiled in a months-long scandal about an interview that she thwarted in Vanity Fair, the source said former friends were anxious to see what Graydon Carter was going to print about Gwyneth and were ?disappointed? the history that they had with her never came out.
Decades later, the source said now that the Park Avenue princess has moved her family back to LA the girls she was mean to when she was younger haven?t changed their opinions of her.
?A group of women that didn?t get along with Gwyneth back in the day want nothing to do with her now. They still live in LA and have no interest in hanging out with her or being friends at all!?
[From Radar]
On one side, I?m disappointed that we?re only getting these silly ?Gwyneth was a bitch in high school? stories. I mean, does it even matter now? Of course not. It only matters if she?s still the same petty high school Mean Girl that she was back then, which? I mean, SHE IS. But I?d still rather hear about some of Gwyneth?s more recent transgressions. I want to know which member of Goop?s team is leaking damaging info about her. I want to know whom she?s fooling around with these days.
Now, that being said, it wouldn?t surprise me at all if Gwyneth?s former classmates ? who are now probably members of the LA Mommy Mafia ? have shunned her hard in LA. But Gwyneth doesn?t care. Because she?s a princess and they?re not.

| Did Gwyneth Paltrow really get her CAA friends to snub the Vanity Fair party? | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

When you?re in the machinery of covering the Oscars after just a few hours of sleep, you miss some things. My blind spot was and is the photos from the after-parties. Many of the pics come in throughout the day on Monday after the Oscars, and usually the Vanity Fair party gets a better guest list than the actual Oscars. While the VF party was very well-attended this year, I did notice (and then promptly forgot in the heat of yesterday?s coverage) that the VF party seemed? quiet. Quieter than usual. Many of the Oscar nominees attended of course, but there was no Brangelina, no Meryl Streep, no Sandra Bullock. Very few A-listers came out just to party (where was Cameron Diaz? George Clooney? Jennifer Aniston?) and it just seemed like? I don?t know, maybe it wasn?t the best VF party.
But the NYDN reports that this might have been a concerted effort by Gwyneth Paltrow and her publicist Stephen Huvane to kneecap VF?s party after the kerfuffle with Vanity Fair?s Goop story. Even though Graydon Carter folded (like a cheap suit), Goop?s still mad? Dame Goop has deigned to punish a publication. Great.
The Oscars? hottest and most exclusive afterparty, the Vanity Fair bash, was held in West Hollywood Sunday night, with a handful of A-listers, including Gwyneth Paltrow, failing to show. The absences came after the backlash that hit the mag?s editor, Graydon Carter, when he tried to do a tell-all profile on Paltrow.
In an editorial in the March 2014 Hollywood Issue, Carter admitted he canned the piece after an extremely upset Paltrow called him personally and then charmed him into dropping it.
Now Confidenti@l has learned from a well-placed source that CAA agents may have suggested to top talent that they should consider another party instead ? like Madonna?s ultra-exclusive post-Oscars bash.
Although Paltrow is represented by Tracey Jacobs at UTA, her publicist is Stephen Huvane. Stephen?s brother, Kevin Huvane, is an uber-agent and managing partner at CAA, which reps Meryl Streep, Kevin Spacey and Sandra Bullock, who all skipped the VF bash. However, Anne Hathaway, who shares a publicist with Paltrow, did attend the magazine?s party, along with host Ellen Degeneres, who smooched her wife Portia de Rossi and Bono all at once.
?They couldn?t pull everyone. That would have been too obvious,? our source says.
Although Stephen Huvane assures us there is no connection, our source insists there is.
?That is absolutely not true,? Stephen counters. ?CAA doesn?t even represent Gwyneth, so your logic doesn?t make sense. Gwyneth didn?t go to any of the big parties on Oscar night,? he says.
It?s not as though Paltrow?s invite was lost in the mail. Vanity Fair told E! News last month that Paltrow, a fixture at past VF parties, had been invited to attend this year, too.
[From The NY Daily News]
Yeah, I kind of believe the NYDN’s source. I think this was Gwyneth?s petty, high-school Mean Girl way of snubbing Vanity Fair after what they had put her through. Plus, she?s still pissed that she has someone in her team leaking crap to randoms. Even if Gwyneth?s agent isn?t with CAA, Kevin Huvane is notorious for playing hardball on behalf of his stable of clients, and Kevin and Stephen Huvane are two of the biggest power players in LA. If they want to snub you, they will find a way. And it looks like they found a way to kneecap Vanity Fair.

| Gwyneth Paltrow's rep denies rumors of Goop's alleged affair with Kevin Yorn | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Vanity Fair finally published Graydon Carter?s full essay about ?The Paltrow Affair? ? in the beginning of the month, VF published only some of it, but now the whole thing is online and you can read it here. There?s nothing really groundbreaking in there ? Carter shades Gwyneth for sending out that blanket email to her friends and colleagues, or as Carter writes: ?She asked that they not speak to Vanity Fair about her, or about anything else ever again. Ever. Never. Kim Jong-un couldn?t have issued a more blanket demand.? Carter goes on to somewhat objectively describe the online kerfuffle that arose as we (and other sites) tried to guess what Gwyneth had to hide.
Among the Goop gossip we discussed/theorized about last fall were the rumors of Gwyneth?s alleged infidelities. There were stories about her alleged affair in 2008 with billionaire Jeffrey Soffer. There were stories about an affair with a ?mystery literary figure?. Carter referenced the ?affair? rumors cryptically, but he basically says that he decided against covering all of that in VF. And now there?s a new piece of information swirling its way through the intertubes. The basic gist is that there?s a new ?secret-sharing app? called Whispers where people can share rumors, info, gossip anonymously. Someone on Whispers shared this:
Kevin Yorn is kind of hot. You can see of a photo of him here. So, is Goop hitting that? Blah, who knows? Goop?s rep told Gossip Cop that the rumor is ?100% false? and the same rep told The Daily Mail, ?The story is completely false. Gwyneth knows Kevin casually through business contacts. She is not at all romantically connected to him.?
But Gawker contacted Neetzan Zimmerman, Whisper?s editor-in-chief, and asked him about the source for this rumor. He tweeted: ?I can’t reveal their identity for obvious reasons, but it’s a person with extremely close ties to Gwyneth who came to us directly after Graydon Carter wrote that missive about why VF walked away from the Paltrow profile last year. I have no reason to suspect they’re lying about this, and if anyone would know the truth, this person would.? Fascinating. Seriously, this is really interesting.

| Gwyneth Paltrow isn't naturally thin, she's just 'dedicated?, says Tracy Anderson | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some assorted photos of Gwyneth Paltrow over the weekend. The outfit involving the oversized white slacks and black blazer are from Gwen Stefani?s baby shower. The outfit with the workout leggings and puffy vest is from her morning training session at Tracy Anderson?s gym on Friday. I have to say? Gwyneth in those tiny little pants? wow, she?s really small. I mean, I knew she was slender and everything but good lord, she?s TINY. I still don?t want to do the Tracy Anderson Method though. I don?t care how slender Goop is. Speaking of Tracy, she gave an interview to E! News and it?s a study in passive-aggressively shading your ?friends,? clients and business partner. This is just too good:
On Gwyneth’s Fitness Secret: “Well, she is just so dedicated, and what’s great with her is that she’s so consistent, focused and she actually puts the work in,” says Tracy. “There is not a trick, and everyone is just not genetically blessed.”
Celebs Have it Easier? That’s a Major Myth: “Gwyneth had some problem areas when I first met her, and now she is in great shape,” reveals Tracy. “Some people look at celebrities and they think ‘oh, they have it better than me,’ and it’s just not true! Some celebrities are doing some unhealthy things. But someone like Gwyneth, I like to celebrate because she is really just a good example,” says Tracy.
On Gwyneth’s 6-Day Workout Regime: Gwyneth’s program that Tracy designed for her doesn’t exactly sound like a cakewalk. It takes real work, but clearly has paid off! “For eight years I have designed a new program for her every ten days, and she does it six days a week,” says Tracy. “It’s not two hours, it’s more like an hour and fifteen minutes.”
She’s Proud of Victoria Beckham: “I am really proud of my clients like Victoria, because she is a consistent, hard hard-working mother and she really works at her body,” says Tracy. “David and Victoria are an amazing, lovely, beautiful family. So many celebrities I am not impressed with, and Victoria was one that I been consistently impressed with.”
On Her Cameron Diaz Connection: “I am a good friend of hers. We actually had the same ghostwriter that pieced my book together and also pieced hers. She’s done my workouts on and off throughout the years,” says Tracy.
On the Whole Working Mom Balancing Act: Tracy just had her second child, and so she can totally relate to working moms in Hollywood, or working moms anywhere, for that matter. “It’s just about women supporting women, and I have carved out programs that mothers can do when at home or with their kids,” explains Tracy. “It’s vital to show up for yourself as a mother, and even a working mother. It’s just not easy for any of us, so it’s about supporting each other. It is doable.”
[From E! News]
I mean? passive-aggressive much? Wow. First of all, I cannot believe that Tracy actually called out Cameron Diaz for having a ghostwriter. That is mind-blowing. Second of all, Tracy is ?proud? of Victoria Beckham, y?all. And Tracy has such high standards, right? What with being a noted fraudster and all, it means so much when she?s ?impressed? with someone. As for the Gwyneth stuff? do you think Gwyneth ever gets mad at Tracy for talking about how hard Goop has to work to maintain her thinness. I feel like Tracy is just saying, on an endless loop: ?You are not naturally thin, you are not naturally thin.?
Getting back to Goop, you can read this week?s Goopletter here. She basically lists a bunch of hotels we should stay in for the long ?rando? three-day weekend with President?s Day coming up. She also writes: ?And while we are on the subject (and not in a political way), Mr. President, you are kind of dreamy.? Ugh. Dear Gwyneth: President Obama is not interested in your juice cleanses.

| Gwyneth Paltrow's London neighbors think she's flashy, gauche, nouveau-riche | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos of Gwyneth Paltrow at Saturday night?s Goldene Kamera Awards in Germany. Goop actually won an award and everything. She took home a prize for ?top female international actress?? which I guess was for Iron Man 3? Sure. Matthew McConaughey took home the international dude prize as well. As for the dress? I don?t have an ID. I like seeing Goop in this color, and I don?t hate the sequins. But the execution of this dress is rather? budget, right? Like, Vanna White would wear a version of this on Wheel of Fortune.
In other Goop-news, you know how Gwyneth is so much better than you and she knows everything there is to know about being rich, about design, about clothes, about diets, about cleanses, and about, well, everything? Well, Gwyneth and Chris might have an ulterior motive for moving to LA last year. They might have moved out of London because? (gasp!)? their neighbors thought they were gauche and nouveau-riche. Apparently, Goop and Chris bought the property adjoining their London mansion, and they spent years renovating and combining the properties to make one gauche mega-mansion and the neighbors were just sick of it:
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are reportedly planning to sell their 7million London mansion after a series of rows with neighbours. The Daily Star reports that some residents are happy to see the couple leave after being annoyed with the extensive building work carried out on the property in Belsize Park, North London.
One resident told the paper: ?We have had years of their building works. They have taken down trees so they can park their flash cars in the driveway and they put a huge swimming pool in the back garden.?
Another neighbour said: ?The trouble is that it will probably be a similar sort that moves in and we?ll have this all over again.?
The couple, who have two children Apple, nine, and Moses, seven, bought the home ten years ago from actress Kate Winslet, 38, for 2.5million. They proceeded to buy the property next door for 3.1m and join the two houses together, followed by another home to create a 33-room mansion.
Their restructuring project is believed to have included a garden and play area, three more bedrooms, a gym, a changing room and another bathroom. An insider who is close to Gwyneth and Chris said the couple are looking for a smaller home in Regent?s Park to use as a base in London.
The source said: ?They decided to sell up as they never spend any time there anymore. It wasn?t a great atmosphere in the street either.?
The couple relocated from London to LA in the summer, so that they could live closer to Gwyneth?s family.
Mail Online has contacted representatives for Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin for comment.
[From The Daily Mail]
On one side, I guess I have to defend Goop ? it?s her money and her life, and if she wanted to spend all of that cash renovating her London mega-mansion, so be it. But it does sound like this was just something she did because she was bored ? she renovated and went from project to project, filling her time until there was nothing left to do but start all over again on another property.
Here?s a photo of Goop?s megamansion:

| Gwyneth Paltrow & Johnny Depp on set in London: do they secretly hate each other? | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some new photos from the London set of Mortdecai, the new Johnny Depp film, where Depp plays some kind of art dealer on the hunt for Nazi gold. One part National Treasure, one part Indiana Jones, and one part typical Johnny Depp, I guess. As we saw last November, Gwyneth Paltrow and Ewan Mcgregor also have supporting parts in the film. And now we can see that Gwyneth and Johnny (and Jeff Goldblum!) have some scenes together.
Last month, there were some stories about Gwyneth trying to spread her Goop on Johnny and he maybe didn?t appreciate it. I don?t really understand how Gwyneth has ANY A-list friends whatsoever, but she does and some of them seem to like her or at least tolerate her (although I do think it?s interesting that most of her high-profile friendships, like with Madonna and Beyonce, have gone down in flames). It?s possible that Johnny and Gwyneth have known each other for years and they get along just fine. Or it?s possible that Gwyneth exhausts everyone she knows.
So, what does the body language of these photos say to you? I?ve only selected a few from the larger photoset, but here?s my reading: Jeff Goldblum and Goop are tight. They are ass-kissing, flirty friends. He finds her charming and she simpers winningly in his presence. Johnny sort of likes Jeff, enough to joke around with him. But when Jeff leaves the group, Johnny goes to sit down by himself. Gwyneth traipses over to Johnny and he avoids making eye contact with her as she bears down on him, getting closer. She only sits down for a moment before Johnny squirms away uncomfortably. My reading? Gwyneth wants to be ass-kissing friends with Johnny and he?s not into it at all. I bet she was talking about her stupid New Year’s cleanse.

| Gwyneth Paltrow's annual New Year's detox features solid food' once a day | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
Do have any idea how many times Gwyneth Paltrow has ?recommended? a detox for all of the peasants? SO MANY TIMES. I?ve lost count. Before she even began her stupid Goop-letters, she only recommended extreme detoxes in interviews, but once she created the Goop-letter platform, she went a little detox-crazy. The first few years of Goop, I swear, Gwyneth was recommending juice cleanses and no-solid ?detoxes? every month. The past year or so, she?s been toning it down a little bit more, especially since her new thing seemed to be starving her children of eggs, pasta, rice, eggs and milk (although she later denied it, I personally never believed her denial). Still, Goop does manage to recommend a cleanse or detox every few months, and what better way to start 2014 than with yet another Goop-cleanse?
If you want to read Goop?s New Year?s detox, go here to read this week?s Goop-letter. The basics? Lots of lemon water and herb tea through the day, with a ?clean? soup for lunch and some kind of light poultry or fish dish for dinner. Gwyneth really went out of her way to recommend a detox with ?solid food? (at least for one meal a day) this time around. She?s slowly learning. Baby steps. But that hasn?t stopped one nutritionist type to cry foul on Goop:
As much of the East Coast is battered with blizzard conditions, it might seem like a good time for a hearty bowl of oatmeal or mashed potatoes. But Gwyneth Paltrow thinks fans should curl up with a nice mug of water ? with lemon if they?re lucky.
Wannabe lifestyle guru Paltrow released her annual New Year?s detox diet through her Goop newsletter on January 2, and it is heavy on water and spices and little else. Now, a top nutritionist tells RadarOnline.com exclusively that she?s advocating a ?starvation-type-diet? that could be seriously dangerous for anyone who follows it.
Day One of Paltrow?s diet, for example, starts off with a glass of ?room temperature lemon water.? At 8 am, dieters may indulge in a mug of herbal tea. At 10, for breakfast, it?s still more tea with various spices and just two tablespoons of almond butter mixed with half a cup of almond milk. At 11:30, it?s time for tea or lemon water again. And at 1:30, her recipe for lunch ? which serves four! ? includes just one cup of chickpeas, six cups of water, one large onion, juice from three lemons and salt and pepper. Three hours later, dieters can snack on a pat made from 3/4 cup of walnuts, one cup of lentils, one large onion and seasonings. Finally, dinner time is 1/4 of a stuffed squash.
Hungry yet?
?Basically, there is no food until about 4 in the afternoon, which for a ?winter? detox should be the opposite!? Dr. Fred Pescatore, MPH, CCN tells Radar exclusively.
In addition, he says, ?The only foods on tap are foods meant to make you eliminate [waste] one way or the other. It is essentially a three-day fast with a bit of protein thrown in.?
?There is no doubt that this will make you lose weight,? Dr. Pescatore points out, ?as this is a starvation-type-diet with lots of liquid to make you feel full, but nothing to nourish the body or soul. ? It?s basically no food or nutrition.?
Would-be-dieters would be better off, Dr. Pescatore [www.logicalhealthalternatives ] says, switching things up. ?As for plain detox diets, the food is best eaten [early], especially in the winter when we are hungrier in the morning,? he explains. ?Try working, being a mother, or just trying to exercise on this detox. You would never make it through the day!?
[From Radar]
Poor Gwyneth. No one understands how she suffers with her fancy eating disorder, which she disguises as a constant plea for the peasantry to simply STARVE themselves for her. What it must be like in that Goop-brain as she tries to process the idea that some people like to eat food throughout the day so that they will have energy to function. HOW GAUCHE.

| Vanity Fair's Gwyneth Paltrow 'takedown' isn't happening after Goop surrendered' | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|

|
|
Not with a bang but a whimper. That?s how months and months of speculation ? juicy, fun speculation! ? has ended. Vanity Fair was supposed to do a revealing, unflattering article on Gwyneth Paltrow months ago. She refused to give them an interview or access to any of her friends, then publicly snubbed VF. VF?s editor Graydon Carter responded by saying that Gwyneth had ?forced their hand? and Page Six revealed that Carter had sent an investigative journalist down to Miami to find out some information about Gwyneth?s relationship with Jeffrey Soffer. At some point, it was either going to be all-out war or all-out surrender. So who surrendered? I guess they both did.
Gwyneth Paltrow has kissed and made up with Vanity Fair. A source exclusively tells Us Weekly that the 41-year-old actress recently had a heart-to-heart with the magazine’s editor-in-chief Graydon Carter following their public feud.
“Gwyneth and Graydon spoke on the phone a few weeks ago,” the insider tells Us. “They worked out some of their differences.”
Earlier this year, Paltrow allegedly tried to prevent Vanity Fair from publishing a damning piece about her. The New York Times reported in September that Paltrow sent an email to her celebrity friends asking them not to talk to the magazine.
After the email went public, Carter confirmed to the Times of London in October that he would be running an article on the star. “We started a story on her. We have a very good writer and it’ll run,” he said, adding, “She sort of forced my hand.”
However, after Paltrow’s heart-to-heart with Carter, the article will reportedly be less controversial than initially speculated or may no longer run at all. “There may be a story, but it won’t be as bad as it originally was going to be,” the insider says.
But reports that Vanity Fair planned to expose the Goop guru’s alleged infidelity — she’s been married to Coldplay’s Chris Martin for a decade, and they share two kids — are completely unfounded, a Paltrow source tells Us.
“The story was never going to be as bad as tabloids were guessing,” the source says. “That whole angle about the alleged affairs was something that was made up by Page Six and was never something that anyone at Vanity Fair believed was legitimate and was never going to be in a story they were working on.”
[From Us Weekly]
Huh. This just makes me think that there was something to the Jeff Soffer rumors but Gwyneth managed to sweet-talk Graydon Carter and he agreed to withdraw some of the more hardcore rumors about Goop. I?m betting it was a tit-for-tat situation ? Graydon extracted a chip from Gwyneth and he?s going to play it at some point. Like, now Gwyneth owes him something. Something big. Something more than a cover interview. We?ll have to watch to see how Graydon cashes it in!
But of course I am disappointed. I wanted a big, juicy tell-all. But I feel like VF did have Gwyneth running scared about? something. I wish we knew what.
