Do have any idea how many times Gwyneth Paltrow has ?recommended? a detox for all of the peasants? SO MANY TIMES. I?ve lost count. Before she even began her stupid Goop-letters, she only recommended extreme detoxes in interviews, but once she created the Goop-letter platform, she went a little detox-crazy. The first few years of Goop, I swear, Gwyneth was recommending juice cleanses and no-solid ?detoxes? every month. The past year or so, she?s been toning it down a little bit more, especially since her new thing seemed to be starving her children of eggs, pasta, rice, eggs and milk (although she later denied it, I personally never believed her denial). Still, Goop does manage to recommend a cleanse or detox every few months, and what better way to start 2014 than with yet another Goop-cleanse?
If you want to read Goop?s New Year?s detox, go here to read this week?s Goop-letter. The basics? Lots of lemon water and herb tea through the day, with a ?clean? soup for lunch and some kind of light poultry or fish dish for dinner. Gwyneth really went out of her way to recommend a detox with ?solid food? (at least for one meal a day) this time around. She?s slowly learning. Baby steps. But that hasn?t stopped one nutritionist type to cry foul on Goop:
As much of the East Coast is battered with blizzard conditions, it might seem like a good time for a hearty bowl of oatmeal or mashed potatoes. But Gwyneth Paltrow thinks fans should curl up with a nice mug of water ? with lemon if they?re lucky.
Wannabe lifestyle guru Paltrow released her annual New Year?s detox diet through her Goop newsletter on January 2, and it is heavy on water and spices and little else. Now, a top nutritionist tells RadarOnline.com exclusively that she?s advocating a ?starvation-type-diet? that could be seriously dangerous for anyone who follows it.
Day One of Paltrow?s diet, for example, starts off with a glass of ?room temperature lemon water.? At 8 am, dieters may indulge in a mug of herbal tea. At 10, for breakfast, it?s still more tea with various spices and just two tablespoons of almond butter mixed with half a cup of almond milk. At 11:30, it?s time for tea or lemon water again. And at 1:30, her recipe for lunch ? which serves four! ? includes just one cup of chickpeas, six cups of water, one large onion, juice from three lemons and salt and pepper. Three hours later, dieters can snack on a pat made from 3/4 cup of walnuts, one cup of lentils, one large onion and seasonings. Finally, dinner time is 1/4 of a stuffed squash.
Hungry yet?
?Basically, there is no food until about 4 in the afternoon, which for a ?winter? detox should be the opposite!? Dr. Fred Pescatore, MPH, CCN tells Radar exclusively.
In addition, he says, ?The only foods on tap are foods meant to make you eliminate [waste] one way or the other. It is essentially a three-day fast with a bit of protein thrown in.?
?There is no doubt that this will make you lose weight,? Dr. Pescatore points out, ?as this is a starvation-type-diet with lots of liquid to make you feel full, but nothing to nourish the body or soul. ? It?s basically no food or nutrition.?
Would-be-dieters would be better off, Dr. Pescatore [www.logicalhealthalternatives ] says, switching things up. ?As for plain detox diets, the food is best eaten [early], especially in the winter when we are hungrier in the morning,? he explains. ?Try working, being a mother, or just trying to exercise on this detox. You would never make it through the day!?
[From Radar]
Poor Gwyneth. No one understands how she suffers with her fancy eating disorder, which she disguises as a constant plea for the peasantry to simply STARVE themselves for her. What it must be like in that Goop-brain as she tries to process the idea that some people like to eat food throughout the day so that they will have energy to function. HOW GAUCHE.

| Vanity Fair's Gwyneth Paltrow 'takedown' isn't happening after Goop surrendered' | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Not with a bang but a whimper. That?s how months and months of speculation ? juicy, fun speculation! ? has ended. Vanity Fair was supposed to do a revealing, unflattering article on Gwyneth Paltrow months ago. She refused to give them an interview or access to any of her friends, then publicly snubbed VF. VF?s editor Graydon Carter responded by saying that Gwyneth had ?forced their hand? and Page Six revealed that Carter had sent an investigative journalist down to Miami to find out some information about Gwyneth?s relationship with Jeffrey Soffer. At some point, it was either going to be all-out war or all-out surrender. So who surrendered? I guess they both did.
Gwyneth Paltrow has kissed and made up with Vanity Fair. A source exclusively tells Us Weekly that the 41-year-old actress recently had a heart-to-heart with the magazine’s editor-in-chief Graydon Carter following their public feud.
“Gwyneth and Graydon spoke on the phone a few weeks ago,” the insider tells Us. “They worked out some of their differences.”
Earlier this year, Paltrow allegedly tried to prevent Vanity Fair from publishing a damning piece about her. The New York Times reported in September that Paltrow sent an email to her celebrity friends asking them not to talk to the magazine.
After the email went public, Carter confirmed to the Times of London in October that he would be running an article on the star. “We started a story on her. We have a very good writer and it’ll run,” he said, adding, “She sort of forced my hand.”
However, after Paltrow’s heart-to-heart with Carter, the article will reportedly be less controversial than initially speculated or may no longer run at all. “There may be a story, but it won’t be as bad as it originally was going to be,” the insider says.
But reports that Vanity Fair planned to expose the Goop guru’s alleged infidelity — she’s been married to Coldplay’s Chris Martin for a decade, and they share two kids — are completely unfounded, a Paltrow source tells Us.
“The story was never going to be as bad as tabloids were guessing,” the source says. “That whole angle about the alleged affairs was something that was made up by Page Six and was never something that anyone at Vanity Fair believed was legitimate and was never going to be in a story they were working on.”
[From Us Weekly]
Huh. This just makes me think that there was something to the Jeff Soffer rumors but Gwyneth managed to sweet-talk Graydon Carter and he agreed to withdraw some of the more hardcore rumors about Goop. I?m betting it was a tit-for-tat situation ? Graydon extracted a chip from Gwyneth and he?s going to play it at some point. Like, now Gwyneth owes him something. Something big. Something more than a cover interview. We?ll have to watch to see how Graydon cashes it in!
But of course I am disappointed. I wanted a big, juicy tell-all. But I feel like VF did have Gwyneth running scared about? something. I wish we knew what.

| Gwyneth Paltrow's campaign against Vanity Fair worked, 'they?re going soft on her' | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

As I mentioned earlier this week, Amy Adams covers the new issue of Vanity Fair. I examined the new January cover carefully, and I could not see any headline referring to this ?takedown? of Gwyneth Paltrow. We?ve been waiting for the takedown for months now ? didn?t we first hear about it in, like, August? I think so. Thousands of stories have been written about what Vanity Fair MIGHT reveal and how Gwyneth MIGHT respond and there were also stories about Gwyneth taking some pre-emptive action to try to thwart some of the more damaging information from coming out. And now it looks like everything is coming up Goop? Noooo!
Can Gwyneth Paltrow claim victory over Vanity Fair?
RadarOnline.com has learned that the famed magazine, which had planned a scathing take-down piece on the actress, is making it much softer.
And that has opened the door for A-list actors, like George Clooney, to play ball with Vanity Fair after Radar revealed that Paltrow had begged her famous friends to avoid the magazine and boycott its Oscar party.
?Whatever they wind up publishing, it?s going to be soft,? the source said. ?Gwyneth?s campaign against the Vanity Fair article has apparently worked and she?s not as worried as she was three weeks ago.
?But the article is still coming out and she still refuses to participate in it.?
It was rumored that the VF article might include Paltrow?s possible infidelity with billionaire Miami hotelier Jeff Sofer ? something she has called a ?big lie? ? as well as other salacious details about the star?s life.
As Radar has reported, Paltrow sent a mass email to her pals begging them not to participate in the magazine?s expose, stating: ?If you are asked for quotes or comments, please decline. Also, I recommend you all never do this magazine again.?
[From Radar]
If VF is going to do a ?soft? article on Gwyneth, I think it probably has less to do with Gwyneth?s attempts to get her A-list friends (she doesn?t have B-list friends ? how gauche!) to boycott the magazine and more to do with Graydon Carter not wanting to get into some kind of protracted legal battle. Like, what if Gwyneth sued? That would not look good. Anyway, after all of this time, I really just want the article to come out so we can stop with the stories about what the article will or will not include. If that means Gwyneth gets a win, so be it.

Looking forward to all the Christmas festivities, Gwyneth Paltrow shared her holiday plans in a new video for Hugo Boss.
In the ad, the "Iron Man" star begins, "The thing that makes the holiday season really special for me is everybody being together."
Smiling at the memories, she shares, "My family, we live all scattered apart and we all congregate together for Christmas. I love that, I love that feeling of togetherness and all the food, the mulled wine and everything."
Adding more details in an interview with the Daily Mail, she described her traditions with her two children, Apple and Moses, saying, "Father Christmas always leaves a stocking at the end of their bed, which is great because then they wake up and they have lots of little bits to unwrap. Then they wake us up and they just go to town on the present opening." Check out her Ad for Hugo Boss in the player below.

| Gwyneth Paltrow shows off some 1940s period style in London: stunning? | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos of Gwyneth Paltrow and Ewan Mcgregor in London last Friday. They were filming scenes for a new movie in a caf on the South Bank. That movie? Mortdecai, the new Johnny Depp film where Depp plays an art dealer hunting for some painting which holds a code to the location of some hidden Nazi gold. The film is an adaptation of Kyril Bonfiglioli’s final novel. It?s being described as a ?crime comedy?. Which I guess is why Johnny Depp has blonde hair and a mustache.
As for Goop and Ewan? have they ever worked together before? Let me see? YES. They did Emma together, how did I not remember that off the top of my head?! Damn it. Emma is one of the few Goop films that I can watch and thoroughly enjoy despite Gwyneth. I might even think it?s one of her best films ? I would also recommend the more recent adaptation with Romola Garai too, with Jonny Lee Miller as Mr. Knightley. Anyway, Ewan played Frank Churchill in Emma. They had a surprising amount of chemistry together, but Ewan is one of those actors who could have chemistry with an inanimate object.
So, Goop and Ewan have reunited on-screen for Mortdecai with Johnny Depp. This is, from my understanding, a period film set in the 1940s. Which explains Gwyneth?s styling here. Even though I?m not a Goop fan, I?ll admit it ? she can really pull off period styling. The way she looks here reminds me a lot of how she looked in The Talented Mr. Ripley.
Oooo? I just looked at the IMDB for this film, Paul Bettany is in it too. And Olivia Munn. WTF?

The dynamic duo dressed in their best duds as they shot a restaurant scene for the David Koepp-directed film.
The action-comedy drama also stars Olivia Munn and Johnny Depp and follows art dealer, Charles Mortdecai, as he searches for a stolen painting rumored to contain a code the leads to Nazi gold.
It is slated to hit theaters in 2014.

| Gwyneth Paltrow makes Apple & Moses speak to her in Spanish: no bueno? | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
My father spoke so many languages. He spoke Bengali, Hindi, English and German, and I think he was proficient in Latin too. When I was in high school, I took Spanish and my dad let me know that I was a huge disappointment. I never learned Bengali, much to his everlasting shame. I remember being decent at Spanish, although I?ve forgotten a lot of it. These days, I wish I had pushed myself to learn another language when I was younger and my mind was like a sponge, absorbing all of the crazy stuff that I still remember today. Is that Gwyneth Paltrow?s justification then? That even though she allegedly makes Apple and Moses speak to her exclusively in Spanish, that they?re thank her one day?
En Espanol, por favor! Gwyneth Paltrow wants her kids Apple, 9, and Moses, 7, to be well-rounded and worldly — so much so that in an effort to teach them to be bilingual, she sometimes encourages them to speak with her only in Spanish, a source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly.
While at Cameron Diaz’s Beverly Hills home for the Oct. 12 wedding of Diaz’s assistant, Jesse Lutz, the Iron Man 3 star, 41, urged her children to put their language skills to use. “Gwyneth reminded them through the party,” a witness tells Us.
“At one point,” the onlooker says, “Apple came to her table and asked, in Spanish, if she could sit on her lap!”
Married to Coldplay singer Chris Martin since December 2003, the Goop founder recently defended her parenting choices in an interview with U.K. magazine Red.
“That idea of ‘Oh God, if I don’t show up to this concert, all the other mums are going to think I’m terrible.’ Well, so f–king what,” the Oscar winner said. “It’s like, when I’m with my kids, I give them everything I have. And when I’m not, I give whatever I’m doing everything I have. And that’s my work/life balance.”
“I’ve made it work for me, but it doesn’t matter what my specific thing is,” she continued. “It’s like, what’s your specific thing? How do you want your life to look? It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. It matters what you think of yourself. And what your children think…I’d say, do what is right for you and don’t give a s–t what anyone else thinks.”
[From Us Weekly]
Does this make her a good mother because, in the long run, Moses and Apple are going to have a leg up with their language skills? Is this smart because at that age, kids are little sponges and it?s easier for them to pick up a language? Or is Gwyneth just a pretentious monster? Eh. Can?t it be both? Frankly, I?m not worried about Gwyneth?s mothering skills when it comes to her kids? education. I?m worried about what Moses and Apple are learning about diets and juice cleanses and Goop?s version of ?healthy eating?.

| Is the Gwyneth Paltrow-Vanity Fair beef just some big stunt-queen conspiracy? | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
For the last two to three months, we?ve been in constant Goop-lockdown, waiting for Vanity Fair to publish whatever tell-all, take-down, smack-down article they?ve managed to write. We?ve done stories about what the article could possibly reveal. We?ve done stories about Gwyneth?s attempts to quash the article too, and her attempts to take down Vanity Fair in total. But what if this whole thing is just a conspiracy to get both Gwyneth and Vanity Fair some extra publicity? Huh.
The drama surrounding Vanity Fair and Gwyneth Paltrow has been going on for a couple of months now, with no resolution. According to multiple reports, the Oscar-winning actress is trying to stop pals and associates from speaking to Vanity Fair, which is said to be working on a detailed expose of her past. It all began in early September with a New York Times article entitled ?Harder Edge From Vanity Fair Chafes Some Big Hollywood Stars.?
The Times claimed that back in May, Paltrow had asked friends not to deal with the glossy magazine and sent out an email which not only requested pals decline to comment, but recommended that they never work with the magazine again.
“We started a story on her,” the magazine?s editor-in-chief Graydon Carter later told the Times of London in October. “We have a very good writer and it’ll run.”
It is now November 19, and still no story. So what gives? A source who has worked closely with Paltrow told us she isn?t the controlling person she has been labeled by the press throughout the ordeal.
?Gwyneth is actually one of the very genuine few in Hollywood, she isn?t calculative but can sometimes put her foot in it without thinking it through,? said the source.
But others have suggested the whole feud could all be a carefully constructed publicity stunt. Paltrow?s longtime publicist Stephen Huvane was listed by Business Insider last year as the most powerful Hollywood publicist and is one of the founders of the top entertainment industry firm Slate PR. Slate PR also happens to handle press and publicity for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party and the week of glamorous festivities prior to Hollywood?s night of nights.
Concidence?
While a source closely connected to the magazine said it was highly doubtful that this was a stunt, other experts haven?t totally ruled it out.
?It takes work to break through all the noise and creating tension is a way to do it,? said crisis communications expert Glenn Selig of Selig Multimedia. ?Controversy helps sell magazines, but I would say this helps the magazine more than Gwyneth.?
Unless it doesn’t.
?I?m still not sure how much is going to come from this,? an insider told FOX411. ?It seems like a lot of hot air with little substance, at least so far.”
Entertainment writer Scott Huver agrees.
?While I give Vanity Fair credit for sticking to their guns despite celebrity pressure, Gwyneth is not exactly the most pulse-quickening subject for an expose ? the world?s not necessarily going to be a better place because of it,? Hubver said. ?But if Paltrow?s camp did in fact make a major effort to squash it, you can be sure Graydon Carter?s not going to be the one to blink in this showdown.?
Reps for both Paltrow and Vanity Fair did not respond to a request for comment.
[From Fox News]
That?s very interesting. I do enjoy a good conspiracy theory and I wouldn?t put it past Vanity Fair to orchestrate some kind of controversy like that. But wwould Gwyneth play along? I don?t know. Gwyneth, for all of her Goop-ing, is rather old-school when it comes to how she plays the game and how she sees herself as a celebrity. I wonder if she?s capable of the kind of long-term media strategy that would involve her becoming a tabloid punching bag for months on end, and for what purpose? To create some buzz? To make her look more sympathetic? Eh.

| Gwyneth Paltrow Reveals Her Children's Christmas Lists | Added 11 years ago | Source: Celebrity Gossip |

We all know that it's time to start thinking about our loved ones' holiday wishes, and Gwyneth Paltrow knows this. The "Iron Man III" starlet just released her children?s Christmas lists on Thursday?s (November 14) GOOP holiday gift guide.
The 41-year-old's daughter Apple Martin stated that she wanted ?an iPod 5, a Lifeproof case for my iPod5 so I can take it underwater and a Kipling rolley backpack.?
The blonde beauty's son, Moses Martin wants an acoustic guitar, the video game, "Skylanders Swap Force," and a hamster. He also wrote about an arts and crafts set, writing, ?Pretty much everyone wants a rainbow loom."
"I am overwhelmed and a disaster," Gwyneth wrote on the guide, apparently letting her Christmas game slide. For her own list, she stated that she "included some old favorites and some new finds, all of which will make Father Christmas proud."
