Here is Emma Watson looking sexy and sophisticated at the premiere of her latest flim, This Is The End. She ditched her usual slew of dresses for a more menswear-inspired look.
Emma was cautious about not growing up too fast we think she looks so edgy and cool while debuting a new look. We?re loving Emma?s newfound style. She has so much confidence and looks sexy without even trying!
?I just saw Laura Marling Live and she was understated and funny and now I am going to buy her new album and worship her forever,? Emma recently tweeted.

Here are some photos of Emma Watson at last night?s LA premiere of This Is the End, that weird-looking sci-fi/comedy/whatever starring Seth Rogen, James Franco, and that whole Judd Apatow crew. The basic gist is that aliens invade earth and attack humans? in the midst of a big Hollywood party. Emma has a small part and James Franco has already had some bitchy things to say about how she walked off the set when things got too hardcore (although he didn?t specifically name her, but everyone knows he was talking about her). I seem to remember Seth Rogen having something to say about it too.
Emma is wearing a Roland Mouret bustier, Phillip Lim pants, Salvatore Ferragamo shoes and she?s carrying a Chanel clutch. I like the idea of this ensemble more than I like the execution. I think it?s great that Emma is mixing up the ?Young Hollywood Uniform? away from miniskirts and cleavage ? pants are awesome! I just don?t care for this Mouret bustier. It?s not flattering on her. And suddenly it seems like Emma?s hair is really long, right? Is this her real hair or did she get extensions? Whatever is happening, it?s sort of interesting.

Here is Emma Watson keeping it cool in sunglasses as she grabs lunch at Los Burritos in Los Angeles. She pulled on a dark blue cardigan for the trip, while pulling her hair back into a low bun and covering her make-up free face with a pair of RayBan Wayfarers.
Emma headed to the restaurant after landing at LAX airport in the morning.

Emma Watson has a new interview with Rookie, an online magazine. The interview is super-long ? you can read the whole thing here. What?s interesting about it is that the interviewer is a couple of years younger than Emma, so it?s like two very young women just gossiping with each other and it?s sort of revealing for Emma. There?s stuff that I already knew about her ? she?s an anal retentive little thing, she?s insecure about her fame and talent, but she?s also sort of full of herself (in the way that most young women are hyper-self-aware and full of themselves). Here are some highlights:
The Bling Ring people: ?Sofia filmed it in such a nonjudgmental way, though?she never tells the audience how they should feel about these characters, which I think might be quite unsettling for people who want to be told, ?We should hate these people.? She made it so true to life, it almost feels like a documentary.?
She?s obsessed with The Carrie Diaries: ?My final is tomorrow, so I?ve been living like a hermit. The only thing I have been watching?such a guilty pleasure, it?s the perfect study break ?cause you just don?t have to concentrate too hard?is The Carrie Diaries? So embarrassing to admit that! A 23-year-old that?s fully been watching The Carrie Diaries.
On Sofia Coppola: ?It was a real dream of mine. I came to the part in a very roundabout way: I told my agent how much I loved Sofia?s work, and she?s like, ?You should meet with her producer and [unofficial] casting director, Fred Roos,? and I did, and we got on really well, and that led to meeting Sofia, and she told me she was working on a project with young people in it. I read the script for The Bling Ring and I just got obsessed. For Sofia Coppola to be making a film which is a meditation on film and celebrity culture and what that all means, how it impacts society, and the psyches of young women in particular?I was just like, ?OK, I have to be in your movie. I really, really, really want to be in your movie.??
Feeling like an impostor: ?It?s called the impostor syndrome. It?s almost like the better I do, the more my feeling of inadequacy actually increases, because I?m just going, Any moment, someone?s going to find out I?m a total fraud, and that I don?t deserve any of what I?ve achieved. I can?t possibly live up to what everyone thinks I am and what everyone?s expectations of me are. It?s weird?sometimes [success] can be incredibly validating, but sometimes it can be incredibly unnerving and throw your balance off a bit, because you?re trying to reconcile how you feel about yourself with how the rest of the world perceives you.?
She?s an obsessive diarist and journaler: ?I don?t know what it is. I?ve always kept and collected things, and I?ve always been interested in the idea of diaries. I must have 10 different personal diaries: I keep a dream diary, I keep a yoga diary, I keep diaries on people that I?ve met and things that they?ve said to me, advice that they?ve given me. I keep an acting journal. I keep collage books. They?ve given me a place in which I can try to figure myself out, because those kinds of ideas feel too personal to put out into the public or even discuss with anyone else. It allows me to get things out of my head and work them out in a way that feels safe, which is really helpful. I can kind of try things out and play around with things.?
She?s going back to Brown after taking a couple of years off: ?I got famous very young, and [college] gave me a safe zone where I could figure things out without people projecting onto me their ideas of what they wanted me to be, or thought I should be. I really like the fact that [Brown] has a very open curriculum, that there aren?t any requirements. Really, I?ve kind of been in charge of my own education since I started out on Potter when I was 9 or 10, and I liked that I could design my own major if I wanted to, and I could take independent studies if I wanted to on subjects that weren?t necessarily in the curriculum. I did an independent study on the psychology and philosophy of how and why we fall in love, which was awesome.?
What she wants to do next: ?In terms of my next project, I really want to do a romantic comedy. I?ve been looking for the perfect script. I?m getting to the point where I?m like, ?I just need to write the damn thing myself,? because it?s so hard to find something that?s original and really funny. But I?d love to do something like that, just because the last two or three movies I did were kind of heavy.?
Director-chaser: ?I?m a real director chaser. I really want to work with Danny Boyle or Ang Lee, I?d love to work with Lynne Ramsay, I?d love to work with Tom Hooper, David Fincher?I have this endless list. I?ll do whatever as long as I can be part of someone else?s creative vision, someone who isn?t just creating something as a piece of entertainment, but is genuinely creating a piece of art. Though it?s nice if it?s commercially successful at the same time. [Laughs] I?m big on directors, more than I am about working with particular actors.?

That bit about her diaries and journals is interesting ? there?s something kind of ?Beyonce?s 24-7 Archive? about it, only Emma?s version is still kind of cute. As for Emma returning to Brown? I kind of lost interest in her stop-go education after she took that second or third hiatus from school. She went to Oxford for a year, right? And she?ll be coming back to Brown next school year, like in the fall? We?ll see. I bet those plans change a few more times.

Enjoying all the fanfare of the fest, Emma Watson appeared on "Canal+ TV" at The Martinez Hotel during the Cannes International Film Festival on Friday (May 17).
The "Perks of Being a Wallflower" star looked cute in a white-and-black floral blouse and short black skirt as she prepared to take the stage.
While promoting her new movie "The Bling Ring" during the event, the 23-year-old actress spoke about a scene in the trailer where she does a brief show on Paris Hilton's stripper pole.
Perhaps being a bit hard on herself, Emma shares, "If you watched the film, I'm hardly a pro pole dancer. I actually look pretty bad doing it."

Emma Watson toldW magazine that she’s in no rush to be seen as a woman and isn’t interested in being viewed as a sex icon. Well Emma was at Cannes for the premiere ofThe Bling Ring and her outfit didn’t help. She looked hot. The only way I can non-sexualize her now is if in my mind, I replace her head with Mickey Rourke’s. Yep, that did it. Maybe a little too well.

Ugh, this is kind of a let-down from Emma Watson, isn?t it? These are pics from last night?s Cannes Film Festival premiere of The Bling Ring. Emma wore? Chanel. But I really didn?t think it was Chanel at all before a looked it up because? this just doesn?t read like Chanel, right? The fit is off (especially in the bust), the darting looks cheap, and this whole endeavor looks like some just-starting-out designer?s throw-away. What are you doing, Karl Lagerfeld?! The one thing I like: there are little pouch pockets on the skirt. They?re not flattering, but I like the idea.
I really liked Emma?s photocall look ? she wore a cute jewel-toned dress by Christopher Kane ? and I thought her styling for that look was right-on too. Ladies, you can wear less makeup during the day. In fact, you SHOULD wear less makeup for day looks. But when you?re going to an evening event, especially when it?s the red carpet for the Cannes Film Festival, you can and should do a darker evening look with your makeup. I?m struggling to see if Emma even changed up her makeup at all from day to night ? her skin looks beautiful and dewy, but she seems very ?undone? for the red carpet.
During the press conference for the film, Emma was asked how she prepared for her role in The Bling Ring and she admitted: ?I watched a lot of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and The Hills, and I tried to understand the psychology of this kind of girl as much as possible. I didn’t want her to be just a parody. The accent was hard as it was a particular kind of dialect. I also thought a lot about what her parents must have been like.” Ha. She?s trying to be nice, isn?t she? She could have said, ?I watching the Kardashian shows because they are the faces of vulgar famewhoring and materialism.?
Oh, and Sofia Coppola wore Louis Vuitton. I kind of love that Sofia wore a short(er) dress on the red carpet as opposed to some fancy gown. Sofia can pull it off.

Emma Watson covers the June/July issue ofWmagazine pantsless despite stating in the interview she isn’t in a hurry to be an adult or be sexualized.You’re sending me mixed signals, Emma Watson.
In the issue, Watson said she doesn’t want to be viewed as a sex icon. “The allure of being sexy never really held any excitement for me. I?ve never been in a rush to be seen as a woman. I never wanted to grow up too fast. I wanted to wear a sports bra until I was 22!,” she said.Well, whatever fetish she’s into, I can work with it.
Granted, her desire to be non-sexualized clashes with her upcoming appearance inThe Bling Ring where she plays a fictionalized Alexis Neiers. Via the IBTimes,
?At one point I told the costume designer, ?You can see my bra strap on this top; shouldn?t we pin it?? And she said, ?No, sweetie?Nicki is all about her bra strap showing.? I was like, right, okay, different mind-set,? said Watson. ?The iconic detail of Nicki is her tramp stamp. It?s a lotus flower, a Buddhist-like symbol just about her butt crack. Really classy!? she said.
Emma Watson is so innocently sweet. I bet if you whispered the word “penis” in in her ear, she’d blush and giggle for a whole 5 minutes. That or she’d punch you in the face, run and call the cops. I guess it really depends on A) how well you know her and B) how you got into her closet.

The actress stepped out at the Cannes Film Festival in a burgundy two-piece look by Christopher Kane featuring a square neckline and strips of feather detailing. It was a cute look, sure, but probably not the first thing Alexis Neiers and her crew would have snatched out of the Hollywood Hills walk-in closets they pillaged. Luckily this is just the warm up round: Watson?s big red carpet moment will be tonight at the film?s premiere.
?Just did four interviews in Cannes without realizing the nerds I had eaten had made my tongue green #Oops #nerds,? Emma wrote on her Twitter account.
