Emma Watson posed for a charity coffee table book called Natural Beauty, and these are some of the photos from her shoot. The project was done by photographer James Houston (not Uncle Terry) on behalf of Global Green USA, which is one of the bigger environmental advocacy groups out there today, and one supported by a number of celebrities. Emma wasn?t the only one to pose – Adrian Grenier, Brooke Shields, Christy Turlington, Elle Macpherson and many others also posed ? but Emma?s photos are getting the most attention because? you know, she?s not wearing any clothes and they poured a bunch of oil on her and handed her an orchid, which she then crushed (?). In case you couldn?t tell, I don?t really know what to make of this. I mean, sure, I guess it?s a decent idea to make a coffee table book in which beautiful men and women take off their clothes and pose with flowers and such, and I guess it?s nice that the profits go to Global Green USA? But it just feels random. And it feels like they were working WAY too hard to get the ladies to take off their clothes. ?OOooh, the environment! Let me take off my panties!?
Also ? here?s the trailer for Emma?s new film, The Bling Ring (directed by Sofia Coppola). I think it looks okay, but there?s an element of? I don?t know? Like, it could easily seem like a Lifetime movie.

Bad news you guys. Emma Watson will not star inFifty Shades of Grey.This comes straight from the horses mouth. What? Film adaptations of erotic novels that started out asTwilight fan fiction not good enough for you? No, she’s right, probably not.

I’m going to come clean and admit that I didn’t make it through 50 Shades of Grey. I got about to the middle of the book, and there were parts that were definitely sexy but the payoff didn’t seem worth it. It honestly took me too long to figure out the difference between inner goddess and subconscious. (I feel dumb about that, but my excuse it that those terms were brought up so much that I started tuning them out.) Plus when Anastasia broke up with Christian Grey I just was like “good” but of course he was a stalking freak and it didn’t end there. I was pissed off at how much she put up with, and I kept thinking about how I would never get with that guy. My mom loved the book though, she’s more of a reader than I am, and she reads higher quality material than I bother to attempt. So there’s a recommendation from someone whose opinion I highly respect.
BUT this book is such a phenomenon, so many people love it and it’s going to be a huge money-making franchise. So any actress should theoretically jump at the chance to play the lead. That’s not the case with Emma Watson. As background, the group Anonymous took credit for hacking the servers of German film company Constantin film. They posted a list of email addresses and logins to the company’s server, which included some details about projects that they’re working on. The leaked documents supposedly contained the news that Emma Watson was set to star in the 50 Shades adaption, but she shot that down real quick:

The Harry Potter star made it clear she’s not interested in headlining the sexy adapted film, in spite of reports she was cast in the lead role.

Reports hit the web Friday that the 22-year-old thesp was set to star as Anastasia Steele in the highly anticipated film, after a hacker team hacked into the internal server of German studio Constantin Film, stealing a document that reportedly showed that Watson was attached to the film.
A source told E! News, however, that in spite of the supposed hacking, casting for the film has not even started yet.

I don’t really get why Emma is so gung-ho on never playing this role. Sure it’s trashy, but it will be fun and so lucrative. It’s going to be an R movie, it will be racy but it’s not like it will be softcore or NC-17. There will be some nudity required of the female lead probably, and we know she hasn’t done any on screen. Maybe that’s why she’s so against it. Plus it’s not like she needs the money. She’s a multi-millionaire after the Harry Potter films and never has to work another day in her life if she doesn’t want it. She can be super picky about the roles she takes and she’s all “no, never.”
There’s talk that Mila Kunis could be the lead, and I think she’s a decent choice but she’s not innocent enough somehow. As Kaiser always says, they should cast this off the CW. I think Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder should star. He’s got that creepy way about him and she can look young and naive. Plus they’re a real life couple! I wouldn’t feel guilty about seeing this played out with the two of them. It’s fitting somehow, with the origins of the book as well.

The hacker collective known as Anonymous reportedly published internal documents from German studio Constantin Film that they hacked. One document in particular had Emma Watson attached to star in Focus Features’ upcoming50 Shades of Grey film adaptation.
While the studio admits it was hacked, they said the documents were out of date and downplayed the incident. A spokesman for Universal Pictures meanwhile said, “No one has been cast yet.” On top of that, no director has been confirmed either.
But what does this mean for us, the average filmconnoisseur? Give it to us straight. Will Emma Watson star opposite Ian Somerhalder in an erotic fan fiction film? Me and my cats must know!

She has the industry clout to be uber-selective when it comes to movie roles, and Emma Watson has decided she?s not interested in playing ?Cinderella.?
Despite previous reports that she was keen for the role, the ?Harry Potter? actress turned down the gig offered to her by Walt Disney Pictures.
As a result, Cate Blanchett is the only big name star on the roster at this point, and filming is slated to begin later this fall in London.
?Cinderella? brings together ?The Devil Wears Prada? writier Aline Brosh McKenna and ?The Twilight Saga: New Moon? director Chris Weitz.

Harry Potter is over and Emma Watson is 22 which is about the time in every young actresses’ life where they break out of the child roles they grew up in and try their hand at more serious roles. LikeSofia Coppola’sThe Bling Ring about the teen thieves who broke into houses of celebrities like Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Brian Austin Green and stole nearly $3 million worth of clothes and jewelry.
The highlight of this trailer is Emma Watson’s white girl dancing which involves popping her chest and licking her lips. Be still my heart.

Here are some lovely new photos of Emma Watson in NYC. She was taking a ?stroll? in New York with her boyfriend of a year, Will Adamowicz, who is a Yank (as they say). Will and Emma met at Brown University back when she attended Brown, and apparently Adam and Emma both transferred to Oxford at the same time too. So? it?s love! I?ve never paid much attention to Will, but he?s cute in that particular college-guy kind of way. He looks like the kind of guy I would have liked in college too. Sort of brainy and decent-looking, like he comes from a good family and has a good future career planned. I?m guessing that they spent Valentine?s Day in New York? I wonder if he took her to the Empire State Building?
By the way, what IS going on with her education? I stopped paying attention after everyone yelled at me and threw hissy fits every time I mentioned that Emma seemed to be playing fast and loose with her whole ?I?m just a college girl? thing. Is this her final year of university or has she just stopped going? Is she still at Oxford? Is she taking off for another semester? I really don?t know.
Did you know that after she met Will, Emma seemed to swear off British men? True story. Last year when she was on Ellen?s show, Emma said: ?English guys are very well put together. They dress really well and they are very well mannered. But they are also very restrained. Usually in the whole courting situation, I?m used to being first of all, ignored for the first two months of the ritual. And then maybe they’ll acknowledge my presence. Then, they’ll probably be a little mean to me. And then, maybe we’ll, you know…whatever. Then I arrive in America, and I remember a few nights into Brown [University], this guy just being like, ‘I like you. You’re great. Let’s go on a date. Let’s do it.’ I’m like, ‘I’m sorry, what just happened?’ This is like a huge culture shock for me. They’re very like open and very straight-forward – but they wear flip-flops and I don’t know if I like that.? LOL. She likes that American men are forward but she hates our flip-flop culture.

At last night’s People’s Choice Awards, Emma Watson took home the “favorite dramatic artist” award, beating out Charlize Theron, Keira Knightley, Meryl Streep, and Rachel McAdams, none of whom came. (Here’s a full list of winners.) Emma wore Peter Pilotto, in a style that she’s rocked successfully in the past. Go here and here to see her wearing very similar dresses on the red carpet. Emma (and/or her stylist) loves short, contemporary dresses with bold prints and architectural designs. This dress is just a step too far, though, with some very ugly cutouts along the bodice, a much too-short skirt in a cacophonous pattern, and matchy-matchy cutout shoes. Plus, her makeup looks amateurish. She often gets it right but not this time.
The lovely Julianne Hough was in a cute Tony Ward couture sequin dress. This dress is a bit cutesy with the bouncy skirt, but I do love the celestial colors and how comfortable Julianne looks. Her hair and makeup are very elegant, but fun. She just looks like she’s having a good time. I also like how her shoes don’t compete with her dress.
Cloe Moretz was somewhat shocking in a bright yellow Simone Rochas dress with a floral embroidered pattern. She looks like she took a bath in highlighter! She’s only 15 though, and at that age I also wore a lot of neon colors. (They were in!)
And finally, host Kaley Cuoco was a little too precious in Christian Siriano with matching heels. Maybe with different shoes this would have worked, but it looks a little too “bridesmaid” to me.
This is what Kaley wore to the press room red carpet, and it’s not much better. I do like her hair and makeup though.

Emma Watson covers the February issue of Marie Claire UK, and I kind of love the photo shoot and the styling. Emma?s magazine shoots can be hit or miss, but I think they found just the right balance with this one. She looks young, but not too young. She looks fresh and pretty and not vamped-up and sexed-up. Her hair is finally at a really adorable length too ? I wasn?t a fan of her Justin Beiber haircut, but it?s gotten progressively cuter as she?s grown it out. Anyway, here are some highlights from Emma?s Marie Claire interview:
Her priorities: ?Friends and family come first and work comes second; that?s just how I live my life.?
She?s more confident now: ?Now I feel a lot more settled in who I am and what I think and how I want to do things. And because I feel good about what I?m doing, I don?t need anyone else to say whether they think it?s good or not.?
She was born in Paris, but she still can?t speak French: “I always have the same New Year’s resolution: to speak French fluently. I get a huge wave of nostalgia when I come into the Gare du Nord. There’s such an emphasis on culture, art and music? And I’ll do anything for a warm baguette.”
Work ethic: “My parents have very strong work ethics and have instilled that in me; a love and respect for what you do and taking pride in it. And then – and this is sort of irritating at times – I’m a bit OCD about perfectionism. I’m my own worst critic. I think that’s really hard, but it also spurs me on. I always want to do better. I’m always striving towards the next thing.”

I just had to check her birthday because as I was reading the quotes, I was like, ?Damn, is she a fellow Virgo?? Because that?s what Virgos are like (and I?m a Virgo, so I can say this): we?re anal retentive, hyper-self-critical messes. But Emma is an Aries. Fire sign! I can?t date Aries men at this point, they drive me up the wall, always and forever. What was I talking about? Ah, yes ? Emma is a perfectionist and she cares a lot about what people think of her, but she?s growing out of it, probably. Sounds about right.
Oh, and here?s Emma?s new Lacome print ad for the ?In Love? collection. It?s meh.
Can I just say? Not only do I really like this photo shoot, I love her clothes in the shoot. I want this long-sleeved sequined top. I WANT IT NOW.
