Emma Watson covers the new issue of Teen Vogue, and she was styled in kind of punk-rock (-ish) way. Her styling actually reminds me a lot of Kristen Stewart?s styling when K-Stew was doing The Runaways. Sort of Joan Jett, but with some couture elements. I especially like Emma?s freckles on the cover ? very cute! I?m glad the mag didn?t airbrush them out. I?m assuming Emma covers Teen Vogue because she?s promoting The Bling Ring. Emma had a new interview with The Radio Times where she talks about the consumerism at the heart of the film:
After starring in the Harry Potter films as the very sensible Hermione, she has progressed to playing a teenager who steals designer clothes in her latest film. But it seems Emma Watson is still Hermione at heart after she revealed she has only eight pairs of shoes. And despite amassing a fortune of more than 26million, she condemned extravagant celebrity lifestyles as ?consumerism as a form of kleptomania?.
The 23-year-old stars in The Bling Ring which opens in the UK next week. It is based on the true story of a gang of teenagers who stole 2million of luxury goods from the homes of celebrities in the Hollywood Hills.
Their biggest haul came from the home of heiress Paris Hilton. The 32-year-old socialite whose great-grandfather founded the Hilton Hotels chain, gave permission to film at her home.
For Miss Watson, stepping into Miss Hilton?s vast walk-in wardrobes was like walking into a department store.
Miss Watson said: ?It?s almost like consumerism as a form of kleptomania. She could never wear all of those clothes and half of them were brand new and still had the price tag on. But I suppose she just bought them to have them. We?ve all bought things on impulse but that?s an entirely different thing.?
However, Miss Watson appears to be much more down-to-earth.
She claimed: ?I?ve got about eight pairs of shoes and that?s it.?
She went on to say she would not describe herself as a celebrity.
She told Radio Times: ?There?s a whole new definition to celebrity now. And I think that?s why you see a lot of actors blanching at being associated with that word ?celebrity? because it?s become something that isn?t really associated with having a craft… But it?s easy for me to sound like a total hypocrite because, of course, I?m dressed in designer clothes right now.?
Following the last Harry Potter film, 2011?s Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Miss Watson has been taking an English literature degree at Brown University in the US.
Commenting on her studies, she said: ?I?ve always juggled my education with working and I?ve always liked the balance of that. I?ve always liked being able to go and do a film and then take a break and use my brain and do something different. I hope one day to do a Masters. But I?m just going to keep gently moving towards it and I?m not in any particular rush.?

She only has eight pairs of shoes? I could see that, but only because these celebrities get to borrow so many clothes (and then return them). So Emma can borrow unlimited pairs of Louboutins and Jimmy Choos but yes, she doesn?t ?own? them. That being said, I kind of agree with her. But I have the luxury of working from home and I don?t have to dress up at all for my job or anything else. Which means that I have an addiction to flip-flops and slippers. I think I have more than a dozen pairs of flip-flops and slippers. Emma judges me.

Emma Watson covers the August 2013 edition of Teen Vogue. You can see her spread below. Spread as in magazine spread. Not spread as in spread eagle. Don’t get your hopes up, pervert.
Teen Vogue describes Emma as the most normal person in Hollywood right now having never been arrested, kicked off a movie set or had a melt down on Twitter.
“I think, in a way, I was very protected during Harry Potter, because I was working all the time,” Emma muses, taking a sip of tea. Dressed in a pair of dusky gray jeans, two layered cotton T-shirts, and a chic black blazer, she’s sitting in the corner of a posh but deserted hotel restaurant on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, open just so we can conduct the interview for her fourth Teen Vogue cover. “I would get in the car, go to the studio, and go home,” she says. Whenever possible, she continued to attend school and hang out with her childhood friends.
As a result, Emma explains, it took an improbably long time for her to understand how unusual her existence had become. It wasn’t until she enrolled at Brown University, in 2009, that she began to grasp the enormity of her renown. “It sounds stupid,” she admits, “or completely unbelievable, but that was when I really realized that I was famous. There are still days when I deal with it horribly and there are days when I deal with it really well.” She felt as though everything had been “turned upside down.”
That is to say, don’t get on Emma Watson’s bad side or she’ll invite you to tea to calmly and politely explain to you why you are being very unreasonable.

Arriving in the Big Apple after a long flight, Emma Watson and her boyfriend Will Adamowicz landed at JFK Airport on Sunday afternoon (June 23).
?The Bling Ring? actress donned a black top with white jeans as she and her beau casually made their way through the busy terminal.
In career news, Miss Watson cleared up rumors that she was accepting the leading role in the new ?Fifty Shades of Grey? film.
Recently taking to twitter, the 23-year-old actress posted, ?Who here actually thinks I would do 50 Shades of Grey as a movie? Like really. For real. In real life."

Making the most of her time in New York City, Emma Watson treated herself to a spot of shopping yesterday afternoon (June 12).
The ?Perks of Being a Wallflower? starlet headed over to the American Apparel store to pick up some basics, as she?s been busy promoting her new flick ?The Bling Ring? as of late.
Emma?s director Sofia Coppola recently told press that she was impressed with Watson?s ambition to ditch her English accent and sound more SoCal in the flick.
?I know that Emma watched a lot of stuff. I think that Emma watched Keeping Up with the Kardashians to work on her accent. She really wanted to get that area?the Calabasas dialect.?
?She worked really hard on it. I was really impressed. And I loved that she did not just want a California accent?she wanted that specific area. I also had them to watch a bunch of movies that glorified robbery, so they were in that mindset and thinking about it as something fun.?

These are photos of The Bling Ring‘s special screening in New York City last night. I’m still not convinced that this movie is going to be “all that,” and while I did enjoy Sofia Coppola’s The Virgin Suicides and Lost in Translation, her directing style turned to one of excess somewhere around Marie Antoinette. Oh well, I’m sure this movie probably wasn’t that expensive to make with Emma Watson as the only real star plus a bunch of unknown actresses and actors, so the film will probably make modest returns.
Emma wore a rather subdued little black dress that I thought was pretty cute and featured a v-neck and low back with a slightly ruffled hemline. This is the sort of dress I would wear if I could get away with not wearing a bra. I can appreciate that while Emma is the star of the premiere, she didn’t wear anything huge or flashy, and she looks so lovely while embracing her natural skin color and not going for the orange vibe like her movie character. Plus, that sleek hair and slash of crimson lipstick are just yummy.
Sofia Coppola played it safe on the red carpet as per her usual routine with a floaty white dress that looks like an extra-long t-shirt. Her hair looks exactly like mine does at this very moment, which tells me that we’re both in need of a change.

The Harry Potter star has certainly established herself as a star with a chic and understated look and wowed at the recent Cannes Film Festival where she promoted the Sofia Coppola movie. Posing for pictures the actress looked a million miles away from the young star she was in the wizarding franchise, showing off her stunning figure in the short mini dress that perfectly exhibited her endless legs.
Looks like she could play a replicant in the new Blade Runner.

Here are some photos of Emma Watson at last night?s LA premiere of The Bling Ring (directed by Sofia Coppola). I?m making a conscious decision not to include photos of Emma?s costars, mostly because I don?t recognize them on sight, and I don?t have the inclination to double-check and compare the cast list versus ?random famewhores who came to the premiere?. Emma is the star of the ensemble, that?s what?s important (to me).
Emma wore Chanel to the premiere, her second red carpet appearance in two days (she was at the This Is The End premiere two nights ago as well). Even though I applauded Emma for wearing pants to a premiere yesterday, I really disliked that weird Mouret bustier, and I really don?t hate this Chanel Fall 2013 tweed dress. Yes, it?s very much a ?default Young Hollywood? look, but it?s flattering and cute and age-appropriate. Her heels are Giuseppe Zanotti. I especially like her hair too ? a fun look with braids. I really didn?t care for her other hair look.
Also ? and I hope this is the last time we?ll ever mention this in context with Emma Watson ? she categorically denied that she is in any way associated with 50 Shades of Grey. Gross. Why would ANYONE even want her to play Anastasia Steele? That part sucks, and Emma would do a terrible job in it.
