This ^^ is Emma Watson in Miu Miu at the Paris premiere for The Circle. I chose this picture because I like the dress in motion. I don’t like it as much standing still. You can see more photos of it here. What else did Emma do while she was in Paris? She hid books for others to find:

| Emma Watson in Kitx at the MTV Movie & TV Awards: cute or boring? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

The evolution of the MTV Awards is something that interests me from a pop-culture-historical standpoint, because I grew up in a time when the MTV Movie Awards were an actual event and some of the biggest movie stars in the world came to the show and did silly skits and videos and really put effort into doing crazy speeches. Nowadays, it?s a parade of reality stars, C-listers and awkward hosts. MTV is even leaning into the ?death of actual movie stars? thing by combining film and TV categories and performances. Anyway, you can see the list of this year?s winners here. Last night?s show was awful.
Emma Watson won Best Actor for Beauty and the Beast, and that movie won Best Film too. Emma wore this black-and-silver Kitx dress which seems simple and flattering. She talked and talked when she won Best Actor too, because she was happy that she, a cisgendered white heterosexual woman, won an acting award when she was up against the dudes. For a show like this, I don?t really mind combining performances by men, women and non-binary actors. But it will be chaos if they try that at other awards shows.
It cracked me up to see Taraji P. Henson mixing it up with the kids at this show. She was like the Cool Mom of the MTV Awards. Taraji wore this Emilio Pucci which? was not great. It had a sexy half-open back, but there?s just too much fabric up front. Taraji picked up an award for Hidden Figures? given to her by the Queen of Everything, Maxine Waters.
Allison Williams in sparkly Galia Lahav. I sort of like Allison as a blonde? It changes up her whole vibe and makes her seem less ?pinched.? This dress is okay.
Alexandra Daddario in Philosophy di Lorenzo. My God, this is AWFUL. It?s like a dress made out of two different but equally ugly curtains.

| Emma Watson in Monique Pean at 'The Circle' premiere: basic or beautiful' | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Have you seen the commercials for The Circle? The movie is about a young woman (played by Emma Watson) who begins working for a mysterious tech company, and – spoiler? – the company is working on this crazy surveillance program. I think Emma plays the potential whistleblower and then the company comes after her or whatever. While the surveillance-state and surveillance-capitalism is part of our everyday lives, I don?t think the film looks good at all.
Anyway, these are photos from last night?s Tribeca Film Festival premiere. Emma wore Monique Pean – a simple and presumably eco-friendly look. I have to say that following the Beauty and the Beast promotional tour, I think Emma has finally found a styling vibe that really works for her. She?s figured out her hair, she?s figured out what silhouettes look best on her, and she?s figured out her ?style story,? you know?
Also at this premiere: Karen Gillan in a crazy, structured Vika Gazinskaya. This is? interesting. At least it?s not some boring tube dress.
Jennifer Morrison wore Opening Ceremony. This is horrible.
Here?s the trailer for The Circle. I like the appearance by John Boyega!

There?s basically a niche industry within celebrity journalism at this point. That niche? When celebrities describe every single part of their grooming and beauty habits. And honestly, I love this niche. Considering I?m not much of a makeup person, I could take or leave the makeup discussions, but I?m always interested in information about haircare, skincare, bathing, hair removal and more. Well, Emma Watson sat down with In the Gloss and this is like the motherlode of everything you ever wanted to know about Emma?s grooming. You can read the full piece here. Some highlights:
Her freckles: ?The object for me when applying makeup is you should be able to see as much skin as possible. As I?ve gotten older, I?ve embraced my freckles much more and I want to be able to see them. When we were filming Beauty and the Beast, I insisted on keeping my freckles as a part of the movie. There are so many young girls who are going through puberty who really hate having them, so I felt the need to say that I have them and that I think the look of natural skin is beautiful. I didn?t want to get blanked out!
She never forgets her evening skincare: ?No matter what, I always wash my face at night. I could get back from a shoot at 4 AM and still cleanse, tone, and moisturize before going to bed. People are amazed by this, but it?s just one of those self-care practices that I really enjoy. I think it?s because, when I was going through puberty?particularly around ages 14 and 15?I had really bad skin. So when you get in a good place with you skin, you really appreciate it and try to take care of it.?
She?s not into face masks: ?If my skin is feeling a bit sun-damaged or congested, I like their 9 Oil Cleansing Tonic, but I?ve never been big on masks! I guess I don?t totally buy into it? I do exfoliate with the volu Resurfacing Grains once a week because I think exfoliating is important. But masks? Meh. Maybe I?ll do one when I?m getting ready for an event or something like that, but only because it feels like it?s something special and luxurious as opposed to because it actually does something.
She loves baths: ?I have a bath every single day of my life. And if I can have two or three?amazing. Nothing terrible is going to happen in the bath, so I always find time for that. I?ll take phone conversations in the bath, anything. Sometimes I?ll use Epsom salts and oils, but my favorite is the C.O Bigelow Apothecary Cold and Flu Soak. Oh my God, it?s amazing! It has like eucalyptus and peppermint and bark and Echinacea and ginger? If you?re sick, it?s the ultimate. It clears out my sinuses and makes me feel really clean. Another brand I use a lot of is called Lola?s Apothecary. They do this incredible milk bath with rose petals that?s inspired by Cleopatra. Amazing. Then there?s a brand called French Girl Organics that has this great Sea Polish which exfoliates and leaves you moisturized afterwards. I like that because it eliminates a step after the bath.
She uses natural deodorants: ?It took me a while, but I finally found some good natural deodorant. It?s not an easy search! The best one I?ve found is Agent Nateur?I use the No. 3. I also love the Weleda Sage Deodorant for the smell. Soapwalla?s Deodorant Cream works too, but you have to scoop it out with your hands, so I always end up getting it on my clothes. But that one really works. If you need a 100% natural deodorant that you can rely on, it really does the job. You might just get it all over yourself.
She bleaches her ?stache: ?It?s funny?I was just talking to my friend before this about how in the Instagram era it?s so easy to edit your life so that it looks perfect. But I bleach my top lip and tweeze my eyebrows and you?d never get to see that, even though it?s a part of my routine. There?s still so much shame around the things you do to get ready while you’ve got a towel wrapped around your head. It?s important to me not to edit that out. I?ve been bleaching my top lip since I was nine. I don?t do it very often, but I do it!
She loves a pedicure: ?Weirdly, I often don?t wear nail polish on my hands in my day-to-day life. It doesn?t seem like a useful way to spend my time when it will be destroyed within minutes. But I love, love, love having my toenails crazy colors. I use the brand Kure Bazaar, which is one of the first brands that excludes things like toluene, formaldehyde, synthetic camphor, but it does actually provide trend colors so it?s pretty cool. And I also use a brand called Floss Gloss. They have the prettiest blue color called El Capitan, which is probably my go-to shade.
[From Into the Gloss]
I?m like her on the nail thing. I keep my fingernails unpolished because – and this sounds like I?m bragging – with my skin color, I always look like I naturally have French tips. It?s the weirdest thing. I have crazy-strong nails and they naturally look like I spent a lot of money getting tips, but no. But I also like to paint my toenails and the brighter the color, the better. I heard someone say that?s a sign of someone who is privately vain, when you don?t put polish on your fingernails but you do it on your toenails.
What else? I love that she talks about bleaching her ?stache, but if she can go months without bleaching, then her ?stache probably isn?t that bad. Same with natural deodorants – if they work for you, God bless, but you probably don?t sweat that much or smell that bad in the first place. As for taking baths two or three times a day? how does she find the time?

Maturing from Hermione to Belle in @beautyandthebeast is a true coming-of-age story for @EmmaWatson: "I couldn't care less if I won an Oscar or not if the movie didn?t say something that I felt was important for people to hear." Here are some photos from the huge (BIGLY!) premiere of Beauty and the Beast in LA last night. Emma Watson was obviously the big star of the premiere, and I?m so pleased that she didn?t wear another blah, neutral-ish gown. This might actually be my favorite look from the Beauty promotional tour! Emma wore a jumpsuit by Oscar de la Renta and the cut is perfect and flattering. I love the gold rose brooch at her waist (also de la Renta) and I LOVE her hair here. A+ look from Emma, and I?m saying that as someone who usually finds her style to be so blah. My one minor quibble is that I wish the background wasn?t black, because she seems to ?blend? into it.
Chrissy Teigen in Raisa & Vanessa Fall 2017 gown. Those fringes look so cheap, right? I?m not sure if this whole look seems so cheap because of the design or because Chrissy is wearing it. No, it?s not just Chrissy, right? This dress is very ?bordello wallpaper.?
Gugu Mbatha-Raw is, like, impossibly beautiful. This dress is Oscar de la Renta and it?s okay.
Celine Dion is a Canadian treasure. She wore Christian Siriano Pre-Fall 2017 and brought the DRAMA. I actually think this suits her.
Dudes: Dan Stevens and Luke Evans attended. Cousin Matthew has such beautiful eyes, but I still miss his baby-fat face from the Downton Abbey days. Luke looks delicious though.

Here is Emma Watson arriving at the event in a dress fit for a princess ? complete with long flowing train that perfect caught in the wind and blew behind her.
She was joined on the carpet by a host of her co-stars ? including Sir Ian McKellan, Emma Thompson and her two dashing leading men, Dan Stevens and Luke Evans.
Dan, who takes on the role of the Beast, made quite the handsome Prince as he posed with Emma on the carpet ? with the pair sharing a joke as they had their pictures taken.

Here are some photos from the big ?launch event? (or ?premiere? in peasant terms) for Beauty and the Beast last night in London. As I said earlier this week, I?m not into this movie but I acknowledge that it wasn?t made for me. It was made for a new generation of little girls who want to see a live-action story about a bookish girl falling in love with a beast. The original was one of Disney?s most popular animated films and I?m sure it will be one of Disney?s biggest hits this year. The Hollywood Reporter already says that early tracking suggests that this film could open with $120 million just in North America. Disney?s internal tracking says that they?re expecting anything around $100 million for its opening weekend.
As I also said in an earlier post, I?m not into Emma Watson?s style during this promotional tour. To be fair to her, she?s been doing the sustainability challenge that we?ve seen from other stars – her dresses on the promotional tour have been made from eco-friendly, sustainable fabrics. I guess that means that no one can dye the fabric? Because the color on Emma?s dress is very? blah. From a distance, it resembles old cheesecloth. The dress is Emilia Wickstead and it?s bespoke, meaning it was made specifically for Emma. I like that she went with an English designer and I don?t even hate the design – it?s a little boxy? – but the fabric and the color ruins it for me. Everything is so washed out.
I?m also including photos of Cousin Matthew (Dan Stevens, doing The Jolie Leg), Luke Evans (looking handsome but his suit is a bad color too) and Emma Thompson, who is an angel.

Do you realize that we?ve gone this far without having me chime in on The Beauty and the Beast nonsense? Hecate and CB have talked about it, but I?ve managed to avoid it. I think that?s by design? or something. Like, this live-action remake isn?t for me. The target audience is the same demographic as the audience for that completely f–king awful live-action Cinderella movie with Cate Blanchett. Disney is currently going on a live-action binge and they?re having a great deal of success with it, so who am I to say that these films look dreadful?
Anyway, the promotional tour for the film has started, and these are some pics from the photocall/premiere event in Paris on Monday. Emma wore a custom Louis Vuitton dress which? you wouldn?t know this is custom, because it looks just as awful as everything else from LV?s current line. I think the worst part might be the booties? No bueno. This dress was crying out for a simple pair of black heels. I?m also including photos of Cousin Matthew, I mean Dan Stevens, plus Josh Gad and Luke Evans. Cousin Matthew plays The Beast. Look at Cousin Matthew?s shoes!!!
Disney just debuted a new clip from the film:
Oh, isn't this amazing? A new look at #BeautyAndTheBeast is here. See the film March 17, tickets here: https://t.co/2p2Ab8PXQI pic.twitter.com/AlXYoiVhmz
