Working her way into the weekend, Courtney Cox was spotted shooting scenes for “Cougar Town” at Will Rogers State Beach in the Pacific Palisades on Friday (October 16).
Joined by her bikini-clad co-star Busy Philipps, the former “Friends” star chatted with set workers while being covered by an umbrella before soaking up the rays as the cameras rolled.
Having been married to 38-year-old David Arquette since 1999, Courteney, 45, recently told OK! magazine, “I’ve been blazing that trail for 10 years, David is much younger than me, I think it’s great to be a cougar, if that’s what they’re called - I just don’t know what the term is for a man who dates a younger woman.”
Meanwhile, Cox admits that she’s quite happy to be done with dating, saying, “Getting older is harder anyway, but living in Hollywood is exceptionally hard. It would be really scary if I wasn’t married and I had to go back out there again.”

Taking care of some promotional duties, Courteney Cox was spotted arriving at the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” studio yesterday afternoon (September 22).
The former “Friends” actress looked fit and fine as she strolled past the paparazzi, sporting a grey blazer with a white blouse and black slim fit trousers.
Ms. Cox was in the house to drum up some interest in her new ABC nighttime drama “Cougar Town,” which will hopefully fare better than her other post-“Friends” project “Dirt.”
In “Cougar Town,” Courteney plays a divorced mother who tries to re-enter the dating scene by going after guys who are much younger than her.

Gale Weathers is old! That is why Courteney Cox is starring in a new show on ABC called, Cougar Town. It looks like a Desperate Housewives rip-off, but if you like 40ish year-old women in their underwear, it may be the show for you. The show is set to premiere Wednesday nights on ABC, September 23, 2009. In case you want to check it out. If not Cox will be starring in Scream 4 sometime in 2010. They’re both well-loved in the Hollywood scene, and last night (July 23) Scarlett Johansson and Courteney Cox were spotted bonding at the opening night of the LA Shorts Fest ’09.
The “In Good Company” hottie and the former “Friends” veteran were more than happy to strike a few poses for the paparazzi while they chatted in the arrivals area.
And once again, Scarlett was displaying a new hue of hair- she elected to go back to her much-famed crimson coif following a brief bleached blonde look.
Both ladies were in the house for the premiere of the short film “These Vagabond Shoes.” Per the event website the film is described as- “The tranquility of solitude breaks through the cacophony of the city as a man makes his way across Manhattan to the sea at Coney Island - witnessing the majesty, magic and wonder of the city and its inhabitants, as they pass him by.”

Always looking fit and fine, Courteney Cox was spotted enjoying the summer weather in Malibu on Tuesday (July 15).
Sporting a grey “Truth” t-shirt, the “Cougar Town” star didn’t seem to mind the looming paparazzi as she made her way to the celeb clad restaurant, Nobu.
In movie news, it has just recently been confirmed that Cox and husband, David Arquette, will be returning to the big screen together to film “Scream 4.”
The happy couple met while making the first “Scream” film in 1996.

Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox Arquette and Sheryl Crow attended a party last night in Los Angeles to support a charity event called ?Stamp Out Violence Against Women and girls of the Congo?. Congolese human rights has become a larger cause celeb as of late, with Ben Affleck making multiple trips in-country and writing essays of support on behalf of Congolese refugees. Last night?s party was sponsored by OmniPeace and Art of Humanity, and it was all for the launching of one $78 t-shirt. Twenty-five percent of the profits (the profits, not the proceeds) will go towards OmniPeace?s Congolese community centers for women.
Three great friends stepped out Thursday night for a good cause. Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox Arquette and Sheryl Crow lent their support to pal and OmniPeace founder Mary Fanaro and her night to “Stamp Out Violence Against Women and Girls of the Congo.”
“I am extremely lucky,” Aniston tells PEOPLE. “But these women and girls need help ? it makes you think.”
Continues Cox Arquette, “We can do something about this. I want to bring awareness to this.”
“I know I have a responsibility,” adds Crow of son Wyatt. “As a mom, the biggest thrill for me, but most humbling role is raising my kid as a humanitarian. I want him to grow up feeling he can do something for people less fortunate.”
The trio of hosts ? sporting T-shirts created for the Art of Humanity Foundation and OmniPeace and debuted at the event ? mingled and laughed throughout the intimate dinner party, held at STK in L.A. and sponsored by Kitson.
“I couldn’t imagine a better group of three musketeers to help me tonight,” gushed Fanaro of her good pals.
A pregnant Nicole Richie, Marisa Tomei, Demi Moore, James Marsden, David Arquette and Kelly Lynch all showed their support at the event as well.
“I’m all about making people aware and showing them what the problem is. It’s impossible to turn your back on something like this,” says Richie. “It’s really hard to complain about anything when you hear the stories of these women and children and their torture.”
OmniPeace will donate 25 percent of the profits from the sale of the T-shirts to UNICEF & V-Day Foundation to build the City of Joy, a rehabilitation center and safe community for Congolese women girls. Tees are available on www.shopkitson.com for $78.

I did a little research on the organizations sponsoring the event, and found that Art of Humanity is a charity that works almost exclusively with Central and South American poverty issues, like housing and education for Honduran families, and aiding recent immigrants to the United States. There is no mention of any Congolese issues on Art of Humanity?s site, but what might have happened is that one of the charity?s supporting artists simply designed the shirt being sold on behalf of OmniPeace, and their Congolese community support centers.

Remember last week, when we reported that Brad Pitt and Courteney Cox ran into each other at a concert, and instead of ignoring each other like high-schoolers, they acted like the somewhat-mature 40-somethings that they are? Well, that story, with some added girl drama, is Life & Style?s cover story this week. I should point out, Life & Style is the only tabloid not running Kate and Jon Gosselin as their cover story. So I?ll give them points for originality, at least.
The headline is huge, which proves the little theory I have going that the bigger the fake drama, the bigger the headline. Life & Style screams, ?Jen Betrayed… By Her Best Friend?. I suppose exclamation points would be crass. Sub-headline: ?Courteney spends the night with Brad, causing a huge falling-out with Jennifer?. Uh… if Brad spent the night with Courteney, I think it?s Angelina who should be pissed. Cover Awards has the run down of the article:

This week it?s about Jen being betrayed by Courteney Cox. By now, many of you who follow celebrity news know that Courteney bumped into Brad Pitt at a concert recently.
They appeared to have a nice time catching up.
Well, guess what?
That turned into Life & Style?s cover story for some inexplicable reason.
I simply don?t get it.
While there continues to be heat on Jen - the friendship between Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston is not a full cover story.
It might have been five years ago - but certainly not today.

Not much new information, but it is interesting. Now Magazine (story via Showbiz Spy) is running the same kinds of story, basically saying that because Brad is hanging out with both Courteney and Jennifer, Brad is persona non grata in the Jolie-Pitt household. According to their sources, ?Angelina Jolie is said to be furious at rumors partner Brad Pitt is back in contact with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston. The Changeling actress went mad when she heard Pitt had spoken to Aniston?s best pal Courteney Cox at a recent Chris Cornell gig in Los Angeles.? Angelina then told Brad: ?[He?d] humiliated her for the last time and that if he wanted to go back to his boring shallow life with Jen, that was fine by her.?
His ?boring shallow life with Jennifer? is something I?ve always wondered about. It?s no secret that Brad was a much more ?boring? person with Jennifer. The only trips they really took were to Mexico, and they just seemed to spend their time together getting matching highlights and (allegedly) getting high. Though there?s no doubt in my mind that Brad loves his kids and loves the chaos of the big family that he chose, I wonder if he really does miss that ?boring shallow life with Jennifer? at times.

After a split that?s more than four years old, can the friends of a divorced couple switch allegiances temporarily for a night? That?s what happened when Courteney Cox ran into Brad Pitt in Los Angeles. Courteney and her husband David Arquette were attending a concert at the Wiltern Theater when they saw Brad. Instead of ignoring Brad, Courteney went right up to him and started chatting. This is all according to Page Six, so it could be total crap. I don?t even know if Brad?s been in Los Angeles recently. But if it did happen, is it a big deal?
With friends like Courteney Cox, who needs enemies? Cox, who is supposedly best pals with her former “Friends” co-star Jennifer Aniston, was spotted chatting with Aniston’s ex-husband Brad Pitt at a concert Sunday night.
Cox was at the Wiltern Theater in LA with husband David Arquette for the final stop on rocker Chris Cornell’s Scream album tour when Pitt showed up.
Our backstage spy told us, “Instead of ignoring him, Courteney chatted away with Brad all night. The three were in great spirits and seemed really happy to see each other.”

Some will claim, ?Oh for the love of God, she was just talking to him! It?s not the end of the world!? And still others will claim ?Disloyal! Friends that side with the ex-wife have a constitutional duty to ignore the ex-husband!? When Brad and Jennifer were married, Courteney and David were one the couples that they were closest to. David has even spoken out about Brad and Jen?s divorce before. That being said, if this happened, it isn?t the first time they?ve all run into each other, and they seem to generally behave like adults. I mean, they?re all in their forties, so it would be weird if Courteney acted like a bitchy schoolgirl and ignored Brad in-between shooting him the death stare.
