Courteney Cox has spent her post-Friends years working on either horrible star-vehicles (like the craptastic Dirt) or as a guest star on a dying series (Scrubs). So, it?s pretty great that her new star vehicle Cougar Town is working out, right? She seems to have a hit show, although both CB and I have seen parts of episodes here and there, and we really don?t think it?s anything special. Honestly, I couldn?t stop wincing when I watched five solid minutes. I think the dialogue aims for light-hearted and silly, but everything, from the actors? comedic timing, to the situations, to the general atmosphere, just kinds of falls flat. I actually think Cox used to be a gifted character actress - and if this is the star vehicle that works for her, God bless. But I think she could do better.
But having a hit show isn?t the only concern anymore - because if the people who work with Cox don?t enjoy basking in her presence, the show will falter and fail. Which might be happening, according to the Enquirer. Their sources are claiming that Cox is a total control freak, and the cast and crew are on the precipice of revolt:
Courteney Cox is such a control freak on the set of ?Cougar Town? that crew members are asking to be switched to other shows.
?Courteney makes a huge number of script changes to make her character look good, and she is extremely picky about everything on the show,? a set employee claims.
Workers on the set try to avoid her by using their hand-held radios to warn one another if she?s in the area.
?Her code names are ?Mother Hen? or ?Cougar Queen?? that seems like all we hear all day. ?Mother Hen needs a pick-up? or ?Cougar Queen is on her way to makeup?? everyone jokes that it?s her way or the highway.?
One woman in craft services felt Courteney?s wratch after she made the star a ham and cheese sandwich that didn?t measure up.
?Courteney ranted at her and said, ?Everyone knows you are supposed to have equal parts of ham and cheese in a sandwich!??
A wardrobe worker was terrorized by Courteney when the actress exploded at her for not having five clothing options for her for a scene that was added at the last minute, said the on-set eyewitness. The wardrobe employee had offered only three.
?Courteney got so mad and told her she would be back in 10 minutes saying, ?If yo don?t have what I requested, you?d better not show up next time!??
Those on the set speculate that the success of Cougar Town has gone to Cox?s head. ?Courteney is the star of the show and very domineering? she gives off this ?I?m important and you?re not? vibe.?

I believe some of this. I know that Courteney has a reputation as a control freak, even back years and years ago. She?s very organized, very methodical, very tough on herself and everyone else. She?s even admitted that about herself, about the standards she?s set for herself, and for other people. I?d imagine that she?s a really, really difficult woman to live with, but that kind of organization might come in handy for a television show. I?m not sure if I believe the part about her berating the crew, though. I?ve read that she?s not the most pleasant person, but I?ve never heard of her being that aggressive or cruel. If it is true, she should take a chill pill. She?s starring in Cougar Town, for the love of God. If one little thing goes wrong, it?s not like anyone would even notice with all of the other sh-t going wrong on that mess of a show.

The former “Friends” actress and her “Big Girls Don’t Cry” pal looked to be having a great time as they posed together for the paparazzi before heading inside.

Courtney Cox’s old “Friends” castmate, Lisa Kudrow, will make a cameo on Cox’s new ABC sitcom, “Cougar Town”, which airs Wednesdays at 9:30. The show is performing well in the ratings and has been picked up by ABC for a new season, so it doesn’t particularly need a boost. Kudrow could benefit from the appearance as much as the show - she hasn’t been seen much since her HBO faux reality series “The Comeback” was canceled after one season in 2005. She now stars on an improvised Internet-based show called Web Therapy that’s earning praise from fans.
This excerpt has spoilers for Cougar Town beyond the news that Kudrow will appear:
We know this much to be true: Any Friends rerun playing at 11:30 p.m. on channel 5 is still as good or better than most of the original episodes of TV airing on any given day.
Friends still rules, after all this time, which is why we’re delighted that five years after the series went off the air, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow are reuniting onscreen!
ABC sources confirm that Kudrow is set to film an episode of Cox’s hit freshman series, Cougar Town, later this month.
But who will Lisa play, and when will we see the episode onscreen? Here’s what we can tell you…
According to Ms. Cox herself in TV Guide magazine, “If it all works out, she’ll play a dermatologist that my character can’t stop going to even though the doctor is mean to me…whatever it is [she does], she’s the best in town at what she does and I become addicted.”
Words that could apply equally well to Cox, Kudrow and their fellow Friendly brethren: Best in town and addictive. (Yay for this reunion!)
The Kudrow-Cox joint is expected to premiere in early 2010 on ABC.

I really loved Friends, but Cougar Town is no Friends with benefits. I’ve tried to watch the show and sat through the whole first episode. Some of the jokes made me cringe and the dialogue is over the top and unrealistic. The characters get in ridiculous situations that could never happen in real life. I watched about ten minutes of the second episode before I switched it off. A lot of people enjoy Cougar Town, and I’ve seen people raving about it online, but it’s just not for me. It seems like it appeals to the same fans of Scrubs, which I also couldn’t get into. For that type of genre it’s probably a great show that I’m just not able to appreciate.
I enjoy more subtle kind of humor - like Friends, that was a great show. Eastwick on ABC is a supernatural dramedy that I really enjoy this season, too, and the rest of my favorites are dramas. I’d love to see more of the former Freinds castmembers and this is good news that Kudrow will be popping up in Cougar Town.

Taking care of some promotional details, Courteney Cox was spotted out and about in Manhattan earlier today (October 27).
The “Cougar Town” actress paid a visit to a few morning talk shows before heading back to her Midtown hotel amidst a sea of shutterbugs.
And of course Ms. Cox was looking top-notch in an animal print dress underneath a black trench coat while carrying an umbrella to shield her from the rainy weather.
Yesterday, Courteney and her husband David Arquette were seen walking hand-in-hand through NYC’s SoHo neighborhood, both wearing ear-to-ear smiles.

Here are some nice Courteney Cox bikini photos from the set of her new show, “Cougar Town.” Now Couteney is old enough to be a cougar, but she’s married in real life. That’s not to say she doesn’t play a good cougar on television, because the show is centered around her hotness and it’sfunny. So both hot and funny, the two requirements for me to watch just about anything unless it’s NCAA football. I think Courteney Cox is like 46 years old, and she does have a banging body, so I would have to say that she definitely has themakings of a real life cougar. Meow!

45-year old Courtney Cox shot some bikini scenes for her soon-to-be-canceled show “Cougar Town” on the Will Rogers State Beach in Malibu last week. I have to admit, she looks pretty darn good for her age. She’s like a fine wine or imported cheese. And not just because she appears to have a cork up her ass and you can see all those blue veins on the backs of her thighs. That’s just a happy coincidence.

I don?t know if Cougar Town is doing well ratings wise but if not, I?m sure having Courteney Cox in a bikini will help. I can?t believe that she is 46 years old, had kids and still has a body like that. So there you have it ladies, no more excuses. Hit the gym.

Having been married to 38-year-old David Arquette since 1999, Courteney, 45, recently told OK! magazine, “I’ve been blazing that trail for 10 years, David is much younger than me, I think it’s great to be a cougar, if that’s what they’re called - I just don’t know what the term is for a man who dates a younger woman.”
Meanwhile, Cox admits that she’s quite happy to be done with dating, saying, “Getting older is harder anyway, but living in Hollywood is exceptionally hard. It would be really scary if I wasn’t married and I had to go back out there again.”

Taking care of some promotional duties, Courteney Cox was spotted arriving at the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” studio yesterday afternoon (September 22).
The former “Friends” actress looked fit and fine as she strolled past the paparazzi, sporting a grey blazer with a white blouse and black slim fit trousers.
Ms. Cox was in the house to drum up some interest in her new ABC nighttime drama “Cougar Town,” which will hopefully fare better than her other post-“Friends” project “Dirt.”
In “Cougar Town,” Courteney plays a divorced mother who tries to re-enter the dating scene by going after guys who are much younger than her.
