On Monday night, the new season of Running Wild with Bear Grylls premiered. I?ve only watched a few clips here and there, and now I?m sort of regretting not watching the premiere episode, because it featured Courteney Cox on the cliffs of Ireland. Which sounds fun/terrifying. Courteney is back together with Johnny McDaid (who is Irish), although this time around, their relationship seems to be more on his terms, as in they?re spending more time in London and Ireland, it feels like. Cox talked about McDaid a bit with Bear, but the most interesting part (to me) was when Cox talked about the cosmetic work she?s gotten over the years and how she?s afraid of ageing. Some highlights:
How she feels about her fame: “I feel lucky. I don’t feel burdened by it. I mean, people can be pretty mean, though, now that there’s all this social media. The comments…if I ever want to feel really bad about myself, I just click on one of those Daily Mail comment sections.”
Ageing in the spotlight: “I think there’s a pressure to maintain [your looks], not just because of fame, but just, you know, being a woman in this business. Getting older has not been…I don’t think it’s the easiest thing. But I have learned lessons. You know, I think I was trying to keep up with getting older, trying to chase that…you know, it’s something you can’t keep up with. So, the more you relax into it and the less I try…’cause sometimes you find yourself trying and then you look at a picture of yourself and go, ‘Oh, God.’ Like, you look horrible. I have done things that I regret, and luckily they’re things that dissolve and go away. So, um, that’s good, because it’s not always been my best look. So, now I just have a new motto: ‘Just let it be.’”
Why she split with David Arquette: “I think that we were such good friends. We found ourselves leading separate lives and just coexisting and being great friends, but not having the intimacy that…is so important in a relationship. I think you really need to work in a relationship, and I think that we tried. We’re just really different, too. I’m the polar opposite of him. That can be great for a lot of things, but I need this kind of real, one-on-one connection. And I don’t know. I don’t know. It wasn’t a dramatic ending. It was more of a…just, I don’t know. I’ve really been…No one’s ever asked me in this way, so I haven’t really thought about it like this. I mean, as divorces go, I would say it’s one of the better ones. For sure. We’re good co-parents together.”
Her relationship with Johnny McDaid: “We were engaged for over a year and then we broke up. There’s something about…you know, he’s from Ireland. And the way he regards love is precious. We have to treat it in a different way. It’s more special. You coddle it. So, I didn’t know how to regard love the way he does. And it definitely made a lot of mistakes that I see, whether it’s co-dependency or people-pleasing. I didn’t know how to bring it in. It was always external. I definitely have learned a lot, and no matter what, I will be a better person from that breakup, even though it was so brutal.”

I genuinely appreciate how honest Courteney is about ageing and regretting some of the sh-t she?s done to her face. While the work seems to be non-surgical ? as in, she was doing a ton of Botox and fillers ? I think she?s sort of kidding herself if she thinks that all of that stuff just ?dissolves away? when you?re done with it. While she looks less frozen (and ?surprised?) these days, you can tell that she?s still doing that sh-t. And it?s because she?s scared of ageing naturally, which she basically admits. As for what she says about McDaid? Irish people are more precious about love? What?

I?m surprised to realize this, but Johnny McDaid and Courteney Cox were together for a somewhat significant amount of time, since at least late 2013. Meaning they were together for two years or longer. They announced their engagement in June 2014, and they?ve allegedly been planning the wedding ever since. Johnny is an Irishman, but he decamped to LA to be with CC, and he?s been living in her home this whole time. But according to sources, Johnny packed his bags a few weeks ago and now the engagement is totally done.
Courteney Cox and her fiance rocker Johnny McDaid have broken up, and called off their wedding — but we’ve found out they fought like hell to make it work. Sources close to the former couple tell us the Snow Patrol guitarist packed up and moved out of Courteney’s homes in Malibu and L.A. shortly before Thanksgiving. We’re told he flew back home to England.
They got engaged in June 2014 after 6 months of dating, but we’re told they’ve been struggling over lifestyle choices: She enjoys going out with friends, but he’s more low-key and private. Photogs last spotted them together back in August. Our sources say they tried going to counseling to work out their issues, but finally they mutually decided to end things.

Radar had much the same story, and it seems like Radar might have even broken the story of the split. Radar?s sources make it sound like this was mostly Johnny?s call, that up until a few weeks ago, Cox was still planning the wedding and now she?s devastated: ?Johnny was really the love of her life. She doesn?t know where this came from.? Sources claim that McDaid didn?t really like Cox?s LA lifestyle, nor did he like her ?cougar? reputation. Page Six also has a lengthy piece about why they split, with sources claiming that McDaid didn’t like that Cox was so close to so many male costars, and some claiming that Cox hated that Johnny smoked/vaped.
Just FYI: everyone agrees on the fact that McDaid was the one to pull the plug on the engagement. So was this just your average cold-feet situation? Or was it something else? I noticed time and time again that Courteney really started doing some crazy stuff to her face when she got with McDaid. I mean, she?s been tweaking, filler-ing and Botoxing for years now, but she did look extra-jacked when she was with Johnny. CB doesn?t think this split was about her appearance, and I guess I sort of agree. The split might have happened because of what?s behind Cox?s constant tweaking though, which is that she?s a woman deathly afraid of aging.

These are some photos of Courteney Cox out and about on September 17th. Yes, it could just be that the natural light was at an awkward angle, and yes, maybe CC was just feeling a little bit bloated that day. Except we know already that Courteney has been messing up her face for a while now. Back in August, we discussed some photos of Cox at a premiere in LA, and it looked like she was fresh from getting a ton of fillers injected into her face. It?s always particularly sad in Courteney?s case because she truly was a naturally beautiful woman. Is it LA? Is it a self-esteem issue? Is it trying to look the same age as her younger lovers? I don?t know. But apparently it?s gotten worse as Courteney tries to prepare for her wedding with Johnny McDaid.
Every bride wants to look her best when she floats down the aisle, but sources claim Friends star Courteney Cox, who?s been engaged to Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid since June 2014, is taking her prewedding makeover to the extreme splashing out a whopping $100,000 on boot camps, surgery and detox retreats. But is it doing more harm than good? Witnesses were aghast when they spotted the actress eating lunch?or trying to?at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Sept. 17.
“Courteney was barely recognizable!” dishes a diner. “Her face looked painfully swollen, to the point where it was hard for her to eat her salad, and her lips were huge!”
But those close to the 51-year-old bride state that she refuses to fess up to all the work she’s had done to prepare for the big day, even though the proof is written all over her face.
“It’s pretty clear that she’s gone overboard?and ironically, she looks older than if she’d just stopped at a little bit of Botox,” says a friend, adding that Courteney isn’t done at the docs just yet. “One of Hollywood’s hottest surgeries at the moment is the contour thread lift, and Courteney wants it right away. Threads are inserted into the face to create a lift. The recovery time is minimal, and you can see results immediately.”
Unfortunately, poorly done thread lifts can result in a “Joker smile,” and pals are trying to talk her out of it. But with her nuptials scheduled for the end of the year in Johnny’s native Northern Ireland, they say that Courteney isn’t being conservative?or truthful?about her nips and tucks.
“Not even Johnny knows how many procedures she’s had,” claims the source. “She’ll say she’s having a girl’s weekend away, but she’s really having work done.” Even more, sources add that Courteney’s clocking daily workouts and planning even more surgery before she ties the knot with Johnny. Yikes!

While the ?insider? sounds like a judgy bitch, I can?t say that the insider is telling any lies. Imagine how fresh and pretty Courteney would look if she had never touched her face at all? She would have some lines around her eyes and? that?s about it. That?s honestly the big fear that women have ? that they?ll have a few lines here and there. That they?ll look ?good for their age.? Also, the ?contour thread lift? sounds awful. It also sounds a lot like the ?ribbon lift? that Madonna got about six years ago that made her look like a gargoyle. Don?t do it. Please.

When I was just glancing through the thumbnails of this Just Before I Go premiere photoset, I thought Courteney Cox was Pippa Middleton. Right? Squint your eyes and just look at the small thumbnails ? totally Pippa, right? Anyway, Courteney came out to support her new film (she directed it) and let?s talk about her look here, because we haven?t talked about her in a while. First off, her Botox/fillers look a lot better. She was tragically over-filled and over-Botoxed for too long, but either she?s getting better injectibles or she?s easing up on said injectibles. Second of all, are those boobs new? CB thinks Courteney has always had them and it?s just a good dress. I kind of think they look new/newish.
Courteney walked the carpet with her daughter CoCo Arquette (David Arquette and his new wife were there as well) and her fianc Johnny McDaid. CC and McDaid got engaged last summer and I haven?t heard much about their wedding plans. I think they just got engaged and that?s as far as they?re taking it for now, but who knows?
Many of CC?s close lady friends came out to support her. Laura Dern came out, as did Tobey Maguire?s wife Jennifer Meyer. And lo and behold, Jennifer Aniston came out too! Aniston has been utterly MIA since the Oscars. Imagine that ? a major celebrity being able to effectively go undercover for two full months. The tabloids were missing her a few weeks ago, so they claimed she was in hiding because she was pregnant. So go ahead and Bump Watch these photos ? I don?t think she looks pregnant at all, but some will want to believe. It?s also worth noting that while Aniston came out to support her friend, Aniston did not walk the carpet. Aniston just came out for CC and posed for a few photos inside the venue.

She?s gearing up to marry Irish rocker Johnny McDaid, and Courteney Cox has apparently won over her future mother-in-law thanks to a recent trip to Ireland.
In a new interview with Northern Ireland?s Sunday Life, Pauline McDaid sang the ?Friends? actress? praises. ?We all love her. She felt at home here.?
Ms. McDaid added, "John is very much a Derryman. So to be able to show Courteney around where he grew up and around his history, he was as proud as punch. They are head over heels in love, and it is lovely to see how happy they are together."
"Courteney was very anxious to see John's home and we took her around and showed her where John grew up. We also went up to the grave, and that was quite, well, as you can imagine...John is obviously upset that his daddy isn't going to meet her."
Furthermore, "She even picked up some Derry phrases when she was here. And with her being an actress, she can do the best Derry accent."

They struck up a romantic relationship last year and now Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid are officially betrothed.
On Thursday night (June 26) the ?Friends? actress posted a photo of herself with the Snow Patrol rocker via Twitter.
And along with the ?awwww?-worthy snapshot, Cox added the thrilling caption, ?I?m engaged to him!?
Back in April, Courtney gushed over her man at the premiere of a film she directed called ?Just Before I Go.? ?I've had a lot more support from him than him just being here tonight. Snow Patrol wrote three original songs for this movie. I'm really fortunate. It's amazing, all the musical things that he brought to it. I couldn't be happier. It really elevates the film in so many ways."

They?ve been enjoying each other?s company for the past six months and on Tuesday (June 10) Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid looked as loved-up as ever while shopping in Los Angeles.
The former ?Friends? star and her British rocker beau hit up The Grove for some retail therapy and were caught holding hands as they strolled back to their car.
On Wednesday (June 11) Courteney teamed up with a gal pal for a quick lunch date in the Westwood neighborhood, though she seemed to be in a hurry.
Cox picked up some delicious eats from a local Chick-Fil-A restaurant and scurried past shutterbugs in a navy and red plaid top with dark trousers and sunglasses.
Meanwhile, Courteney recently praised McDaid for writing three songs for her directorial project ?Just Before I Go.? ?I've had a lot more support from him than him just being here tonight.

Enjoying happy trails with her daughter and her man, Courteney Cox arrived at LAX airport on Friday (February 21).
The "Cougar Town" star smiled brightly in a long-sleeved black top and jeans as she held Coco's hand while Johnny McDaid kept a protective hand on the little girl's back.
This week, the trio were in Venice, Italy for a relaxing vacation where they were spotted taking a stroll on Monday and a rainy gondola ride on Thursday.
Late last year, romance sparked when Johnny's former roommate Ed Sheeran introduced the now happy couple.
