Taking care of a publicity appearance, Anne Hathaway dropped by the ?Ellen DeGeneres? show for a visit.
During the interview, the ?Get Smart? actress chatted about her Oscar-hosting gig back in February along with James Franco.
Prior to going onstage, Anne explained, ?Sweat was coming out of strange places. That was definitely part of it. It was really sweet. James [Franco] and I were just holding hands.?
?He had his iPhone out, and I had no idea why he had his iPhone out. And i just remember thinking, ?I hope he puts that away before we get out there.??
?And then we came out and he started filming, and I thought, ?Oh that?s actually kind of awesome.? And I wasn?t going to let nerves get in my way, I wasn?t going to let fear get in my way. I knew how lucky I was and I was going to let every moment be about joy and gratitude.?

I?ve been extremely near-sighted for as long as I can remember. I used to wear contacts all of the time, but as I get older and work from home every day, I just wear my fug glasses since no one is going to see me. I desperately need new frames, but I have the worst time, historically speaking, picking out frames that will flatter my round face. I always end up choosing glasses like these, the frames Anne Hathaway is wearing. While the frames are - on their own - kind of cute, on Anne they seem too big, right? Anne is just like me: she struggles to find frames that will flatter her face too. Funny, that just makes me like her more.
So here?s Anne at last night?s premiere of Rio, wearing her dorky, oversized frames and a rather pretty Gucci Spring 2011 dress. I tend to think this is Anne?s appeal, at least her appeal for women - she?s very pretty (sometimes a tad squirrelly) but she reminds us all of the friend we have who could be very pretty if only she would just wear her contacts and wear something flattering. Anne is totally that girl. Women look at her and we picture ourselves giving her a makeover during a sleepover. After the makeover, we?ll watch The Notebook and eat popcorn. Totally.
Shoe porn? I don?t really like the shoes, though. And they are WAY too matchy-matchy with the dress.
And just a touch of Rodrigo Santoro, licking his lips. In case you wanted your biscuits to tingle this morning.

Fitting in a little fun in the sun as she tends to promotional efforts in South America, Anne Hathaway showed off her fab bikini body in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday (March 24).
The "Devil Wears Prada" actress was joined by boyfriend Adam Shulman as the twosome lounged around before taking a romantic swim in the hotel's outdoor pool.
As for the trip to Brazil, Miss Hathaway has been busy boosting interest in her new animated film titled "Rio".
With actor Jamie Foxx also making the trip, the pair and a few other fellow co-stars held a press conference and photo call over the past few days at the Copacabana Palace Hotel.
"Rio" is the story of "a domesticated macaw from small-town in Minnesota who he takes off on an adventure to Rio de Janeiro with this bird of his dreams."

Taking care of her media duties, Anne Hathaway was spotted at the premiere of her new animated movie ?Rio? in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Tuesday (March 22).
The ?Get Smart? gal looked lovely in a white blouse with a black skirt as she hammed it up for the press at the Copacabana Palace in the beautiful Brazilian city.
When asked if she was planning on taking her ?Rio? singing experience and turning it into a full-blown music career a la Gwyneth Paltrow, Anne said no thanks.
"You know what, you entertainment news journalists are dangerous. You take a little tiny thing and you blow it up into a new career! [I'm] very happy acting, and I wish Gwyneth all the best. She's enormously talented."

Arriving for some all-important promo duties, Anne Hathaway was spotted touching down in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil on Sunday (March 20).
The ?Love & Other Drugs? babe looked cute and casual while flashing her usual smile for the paparazzi as she exited the busy terminal.
In other news, Ms Hathaway recently sent a letter to President Barack Obama encouraging him to readdress his stance on same sex marriage.
The actress wrote to Obama, ?In February, you made a powerful statement about the law. We ask you now for your leadership on ending the exclusion of same-sex couples from marriage ? an exclusion that harms millions of Americans each day. Whether to end discrimination in marriage is a question America has faced before, and faces again today.?
The letter urges the US leader to ?end exclusion from marriage? while adding, ?We ask you to complete your journey and join us, and the majority of Americans, who support the freedom to marry.?

Gearing up for an outbound flight, Anne Hathaway was spotted at LAX International Airport yesterday (March 1).
Joined by her boyfriend Adam Shulman, the ?Princess Diaries? actress looked cool and casual as she passed through the security checkpoint.
Over the weekend, Anne co-hosted the 83rd Annual Academy Awards along with James Franco, and she was nothing short of hilarious.
Ms. Hathaway was paid $750,000 to exclusivelyi wear Tiffany & Co. jewels during the course of the evening, including a $10 million Tiffany Lucida Star diamond necklace, earrings, and ring.

I came away from Sunday?s Oscar telecast with a new-found respect for Anne Hathaway. I?ve liked her for a while now (ever since I saw Rachel Getting Married and I realized that she?s a really good actress), but her cheerful attempts to be a good host in the face of James Franco?s general lazy douchebaggery won my heart. Anne is a good girl. And when she want on Oprah to dish, she even said nice things about James, which she didn?t have to do. She could have sold him out and I would have still respected her. But she kept it classy, and good for her. Anyway, one of the highlights of Anne?s hostessing of the Oscar was all of the fabulous dresses and jewelry. I assumed that all of the stuff was just borrowed, and that Rachel Zoe (Anne?s stylist) had simply pulled some strings with some of the big designers to get Anne some good stuff. Anne told Oprah that while some of the stuff was just borrowed from various designers, other gowns had to be ?built? from scratch, just for her. And that?s not all, according to Us Weekly. Their sources claim that all of Anne?s borrowed jewelry came from Tiffany?s, and that Anne GOT PAID (for real) just to wear all of this stuff:
Hathaway has a way with bling! Anne Hathaway scored a major bonus when she wore glitzy jewelry from Tiffany & Co. while hosting the Oscars on Sunday night.
An insider tells UsMagazine.com that the actress, 28, was paid a whopping $750,000 to wear the baubles at Hollywood’s biggest event.
The Love and Other Drugs star wasn’t the only A-lister making bank on Oscar night, either.
Another source tells Us that Gwyneth Paltrow — who performed “Coming Home” during the show — netted a sweet $500,000 to wear earrings, a brooch and ring from Louis Vuitton’s “L’Ame du Voyage” collection.
It’s not the first time Paltrow has been linked to lucrative, hush-hush endorsements. In late 2009, sources told Us Weekly that the actress was compensated to help promote the lavish Hotel La Mamounia in Marrakech, Morroco.
Reps for Paltrow, Hathaway, Vuitton and Tiffany & Co. all tell Us the payment claims are “incorrect.”

I?m guessing that the numbers are too high, especially in Goop?s case. Anne probably did get some kind of endorsement deal from Tiffany?s, but my guess is that it was probably lower to mid-six figures, not $750,000. As for Goop - wow. I guess luxury brands still want to be associated with her, for whatever reason.

They?ve been hyping up their Oscar hosting gig for weeks, and tonight (February 27) Anne Hathaway and James Franco handled their Academy Awards duties quite nicely.
The ?Devil Wears Prada? babe and the ?127 Hours? stud were both dressed to impress as they emceed Hollywood?s biggest night at the Kodak Theatre.
When Kirk Douglas came out to announced the Best Supporting Actress nominees, Anne swooned a bit- especially when the iconic actor hit on her!
Miss Hathaway also did a solo performance of a song meant to call Hugh Jackman out for not singing with her, after which Franco came out onstage sporting a blonde wig and a Pink gown.
Throughout the evening, Anne and James added some fabulous humorous moments to the already-illustrious event while at the same time maintaing the classy motif.

Gearing up for a night in the spotlight, Anne Hathaway arrived for the 83nd annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday evening (February 27).
Held at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center, the Oscar winning actress was all smiles as she geared up for hosting duties alongside James Franco at the swanky ceremony.
Making for quite the star-studded affair, celebrity presenters slated to hit the stage include Oprah Winfrey, Scarlett Johansson, Halle Berry, Jude Law and Matthew McConaughey.
Meanwhile, top nominees this year include "The King's Speech," "Black Swan," "The Kids Are Alright" and "The Social Network".
