The former brunette debuted her newly dyed blonde hair at the star-studded event. “I don’t know that you could tell it by looking at me, but Debbie Harry was (my inspiration),” Hathaway told. Adam Shulman’s wife wore a vintage Valentino gown from 1992.

I haven?t looked through ALL of the Met Gala photos, but from what I?ve seen, very few celebrities really had fun with the ?Punk: From Chaos to Couture? theme. I?m not sure if Anne Hathaway qualifies? Anne came as a guest of Valentino ? she?s ALL about Valentino these days, Valentino designed her wedding dress, she wears a lot of Valentino on red carpets, and she came close to wearing a Valentino gown for the Oscars. This particular Valentino gown is nothing special (ugh, feathers), but it acts as a blank canvas (sort of) for her dramatic hair change: Annie?s a blonde now! I don?t know if this was just something she did to be ?punk? or whatever and she?ll change it in a week. It?s a pretty dramatic change for just the Met Gala, you know?
Who does Blonde Annie remind you of? I can?t put my finger on it. There?s some January Jones there. Maybe some young Brigitte Nielsen? While the blonde doesn?t suit Anne, it?s really not as bad as I thought it would be. It does make her look less princess-y and more edgy.
Guess who else radically changed up their hair for the Met Gala? Nicole Richie. Nicole went for (temporary?) white-blue-grey and a really dark fake-tan. She wore Topshop. Can I just say? I actually love this dress. This might be one of my favorite dresses that I?ve seen so far. As for her overall look ? I like that she tried something different and visually interesting for the punk theme.

Here are some new photos of Anne Hathaway arriving at LAX this weekend (the ones where she?s wearing blue jeans) and attending a birthday party in Hollywood (the all-white outfit). When Anne arrived at LAX, TMZ?s photographers/videographers pursued her and Anne didn?t want to talk to them, so she jumped into the first SUV she saw. It was not hers. But she still didn?t get out ? she asked the complete stranger driving the SUV if she could stay there until her car came. TMZ has the video here. They were probably going to ask her about how she?s a terrible pothead who eats solids. The scandal!
Meanwhile, have you heard the rumors that Annie is going to be on Broadway? There are some stories going around about yet another revival of Cabaret, with Annie in the Sally Bowles role played by Liza Minnelli in the film, and perhaps Alan Cumming returning to the role originated (in the movie) by Joel Grey. Cumming has already been there, done that with Cabaret ? and he won a Tony for the last revival he took part in. Anne?s publicist denies that she?s in talks to do the revival, but I kind of don?t believe that. I think it would be an interesting project for her to undertake, and it wouldn?t surprise me at all if she considered it.
But! Showbiz 411 claims that Anne has just signed on to do an independent film called SongOne which will begin production soon. Anne won?t be singing, but she?ll play the girlfriend of a rock star and she?ll costar with Irish musician Johnny Flynn. Sounds like an interesting project, I guess. I thought she would be doing more blockbusters or something.

Here is a photo of Anne Hathaway with her dog Esmeralda back in November of last year. This was part of Anne?s Oscar campaign. She totally famewhored her poor side-eyeing puppy. Much like Ben Affleck was constantly out with his dimpled children, Anne was constantly out with her husband and/or her dog. But now that the Oscar campaign is over, when is the last time anyone has seen Esmeralda? Poor Esme. How old is Esmeralda? I have no idea. Star Magazine claims that Anne think Esme is ?half-dead? and that Anne wants to get a fresh-faced puppy to go with her new image of a young Oscar-winning actress. This story is totally harsh.
Hathahaters are about to have even more fuel for their anti-Anne fire: Star has learned that the much-maligned Anne wants to replace her faithful Labrador, Esmeralda, because the pup isn?t hip enough for Hollywood.
?Anne really wants a ?stylish young puppy? she can play and interact with? she says she just can?t bond with a dog that?s half-dead ? it?s not quite the glamorous look she?s going for now that she?s won an Oscar,? fumes an insider.
While Anne?s rep denies the rumor, Star?s source claims that even Anne?s husband, Adam Shulman, supports her heartless plan.
?It just shows out of out of touch Anne is getting. Friends think it?s horrifically sad and worry that her obsession with her image is taking over everything ? even her humanity.?

Yes, as Star Mag notes, Anne?s rep did deny it. I think it?s possible that Star is twisting a perfectly normal story into something horribly anti-Hathaway too ? like, Anne might have been telling friends that she wants a new puppy because why not? It?s not like there?s a law against only having one dog. So maybe Anne wants a new puppy but that doesn?t mean that she doesn?t love Esme. Except for the fact that we haven?t seen poor Esme in months. New theory: Anne is a MONSTER!!!

Kicking off her day with some errands, Anne Hathaway showed up at a Los Angeles-area grocery store this morning (April 18).
The ?Les Miserables? babe looked to be in a good mood and smiled for the shutterbugs as she shuffled past in casual garb to pick up some coffee and other supplies.

Checking some items off of her to-do list, Anne Hathaway ran errands on Tuesday afternoon (April 16) in Los Angeles.
Casual in an all-all black ensemble, the ?Les Miserables? star was a woman on the go as she carried her groceries back to her car after a stop at the store.
Though the Brooklyn native took some time off after a busy awards season where she racked up numerous wins for her turn as Fantine in the movie musical, her roles are once again piling up.
Most recently, the 30-year-old began voicing the animated character Jewel in the animated comedy ?Rio 2,? and is signed on for two more films this year.

Here are some photos of Anne Hathaway and her husband in Brooklyn a few days ago. I?m not sure what Anne?s current strategy is, but I think it?s along the lines of ?don?t say anything directly, but give people some happy-couple photo-ops?. If she announces a pregnancy this year, I really do think all will be ?forgiven? for her, although I?m not sure that Annie has erred so badly that she needs to be ?forgiven?. She doesn?t need to apologize for anything, you know? Her Oscar campaign and Oscar speech were JUST annoying, she didn?t do anything ?wrong?.
As Bedhead covered earlier this week, James Franco was on Howard Stern?s show and The Artist discussed Anne Hathaway. To be fair to Franco, Howard brought it up and Howard said some of the most insulting things about Anne, but to be fair to Howard, Franco didn?t disagree with him. Franco talked about the fallout from his and Anne?s horrible Oscar co-hosting duties, saying: ?Anne and I made up, by the way. Let?s just get that on the record. It was a really hard time after the Oscars. She wasn?t mad at me, I don?t think . . . she didn?t say she was mad at me for what happened . . . The critics were so nasty.? He also name-dropped the ?Hatha-haters? too. It was? unpleasant. He didn?t really throw her under the bus, but he didn?t go out of his way to defend her or be a gentleman about it either (especially considering that more people hated HIM not her following the Oscars). So what does Anne think about Franco?s recent comments? According to Radar, she?s not pleased:
James Franco said Anne Hathaway wasn?t going to be happy that he was discussing their strained relationship during his interview with Howard Stern on Monday ? and he was right! RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that the Spring Breakers actor?s chat with the shock jock didn?t go unnoticed by the Les Miserables star who is fuming that Franco has drudged up their past yet again in a radio interview.
Anne, 30, just can?t understand why James, 34, couldn?t just say ?no comment.? Worse still, she thinks Franco was using her name just to help promote his latest movie!
?Anne can?t believe James has openly discussed the past and how they aren?t really on talking terms anymore,? a source tells Radar. ?She thinks he did it purely to drum up publicity for Spring Breakers. But, as far as she?s concerned, James pulled an unprofessional move by talking about her during the interview with Howard Stern.
?Stern did provoke Franco, but he didn?t have to respond. And she couldn?t believe that he said he understands why people dislike her. Anne would never air her dirty laundry in public and is intensely private. It?s opened up old wounds, is totally unnecessary and she?s fuming,? the source reveals.

Again, this is just coming from ?sources?. I would assume that Anne probably is kind of pissed off at Franco, but she?s smart enough to realize that many people think Franco is a total douche, and his comments were off-side, so she doesn’t need to work to prove her point. I don?t believe Anne would suddenly claim (incorrectly) to be ?intensely private? when she was shilling everything about herself for the sake of that Oscar. So? a mixed bag. My recommendations for Annie (who I still like, thank you very much): keep doing what you?re doing. Don?t comment. Stay out of the spotlight for a few more months and whenever you give your next interview, don?t cry or throw a tantrum. Own your nerdiness and theater-geekdom with humor and self-awareness. You?ll be fine!

The "Les Misrables" star looked cute in her tan wool coat, gray knitted hat, and black boots as her chivalrous husband opened a door for her.
This past weekend, the 30-year-old actress took leave from her hubby to cut loose at a cousin's bachelorette party.

You know what bugged me about the Anne Hathaway Backlash (meaning the original backlash against Anne, not the backlash against the backlash)? I was annoyed that everybody started hating on her on Oscar night when really she had been MUCH more annoying in the months preceding the Oscars. Anne?s Oscar campaign (beav-flashing, incessant weight loss talk, endless conversations about her hair) was a pain in the ass. While I thought her Oscar Nips and her little-girl voice were supremely annoying, it was just the cherry on top of Anne?s insufferable campaign. Still, you know I?m a Hathaway Apologist. I like her despite her annoying campaign and her Oscar Nips and Oscar Beav. I like the ?real? Anne. The real Anne is a pill, a drama geek, a nerd. The real Anne is a talented professional who judges you for not being more like her. I want her to go back to that version of herself.
Anyway, Anne has been reading what you Hathahaters have been saying, and she?s super-sad about it. She wants to quit acting because you guys treat her like she?s worse than Osama Bin Laden!
It?s not every celebrity that can say they?re more despised than Osama Bin Laden. A Google search for ?Anne Hathaway? and ?hate? yields a staggering 31 million hits ? while a similar search about the terrorist mastermind results in only 21 million.
Such is the state of Anne?s crumbling reputation among audiences. Anne may have nabbed the Best Supporting Actress Oscar, but she?s losing the popularity contest in a major way and is desperate to repair her image.
?Anne?s in shock and has been in tears over it nonstop,? a source discloses. ?She?s even sobbed to one friend that she feels like leaving the business for good and vanishing, like Brigitte Bardot? She?s really worked herself up.?
Ironically, those irksome theatrics are to blame for her bad rap. As Anne?s star rose, so did her air of saccharine smugness and transparent self-congratulation. But Anne is baffled.
?She?s in a real mess over it and keeps asking her husband, ?Why?? She keeps trawling the Internet looking for answers, but it only makes her feel worse. It?s put her in a really dark place.?
She?s determined to turn the tide of public opinion ? ?She?s starting to realize that she needs to relax and stop that irritating fawning and gushing thing. She wants to be taken seriously, but instead she?s just coming across as manufactured and desperate.?

I feel like that opening paragraph was something from The Onion. “Half of all Americans think Anne Hathaway is WAY wore insufferable than Bin Laden. 33% of Americans think Ayman al-Zawahiri should wear more jewel tones. One-quarter of Americans think Gwyneth Paltrow is coordinating no-carb, no-daily diets with al Qaeda.” For what it?s worth (meh), Gossip Cop got a quote from Anne?s rep who says that this report is crap and Anne ?is about to commit to her next project? and she?s about to begin voice work on Rio 2. My advice to Anne still holds ? earlier this month, I advised Anne to keep her head down for a few months, then come back with one or two interviews about how she was ?hurt? by the backlash, but not TOO hurt and woe-is-me. I also think there?s a good chance that Anne will get pregnant this year and that will give everyone something new to focus on.

Looking a tad weary after a long flight, Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman arrived at LAX Airport from New York City on Wednesday (March 13).
The "Les Misrables" star looked cute in a gray top, ripped blue jeans, and a long gray patterned scarf as she stayed close to her hubby.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the 30-year-old actress is being considered to star in another movie musical hoping to find success on the silver screen.
According to sources, Anne may play Eliza Doolittle in the new film adaptation of "My Fair Lady." The last time the Broadway staple hit the big screen was in 1964, when Audrey Hepburn took on the role of Eliza.
