It?s one of the biggest UK events of the year, and Anne Hathaway looked gorgeous as she arrived at the 2013 BAFTA Awards in London tonight (February 10).
Thanks to a top-notch ensemble, the ?Les Misrables? hottie had everyone?s undivided attention as she made her way inside the Royal Opera House.
And this year the competition is especially fierce, with plenty of worthy contenders in each and every film and television category. The 30-year-old actress was there as a Best Supporting Actress nominee and to support her movie musical, which is up for Best Film.
Other nominees for Best Film include ?Argo,? ?Life of Pi,? ?Lincoln,? and ?Zero Dark Thirty,? while the Outstanding British Film hopefuls are ?Anna Karenina,? ?The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel,? ?Les Miserables,? ?Seven Psychopaths,? and ?Skyfall.?

Yeah, I?ve been trying to come up with something to hate on here ? the dress isn?t fitted perfectly and it?s kind of wrinkled! ? but at the end of the day, I just can?t. Anne Hathaway looks especially beautiful here, I think. These are pics from last night?s Paris premiere of Les Miserables. This Prada gown is gorgeous, and it looks stunning on her, regardless of the minor wrinkles. It could have been really cheap-looking, like a prom dress from the mall, but I think those rhinestones on the top save it. They make the whole look pop, and I?m glad that Anne didn?t do a lot of jewelry too. She kept it simple with the accessories, knowing that the dress would do the work. And hand to God, this is the best her hair has looked in MONTHS. Perfect amount of ?fluffy?.
I?m assuming that Anne will be staying in or around Paris for the next few days before she heads to London for the BAFTAs on Sunday night. Crap? I just realized how busy we?re going to be with BAFTA AND Grammy coverage on Monday. Prepare yourselves, Celebitchy and Bedhead! Anyway, I?m sure that Annie will win a BAFTA for Les Mis, and I?m excited to see what she?s going to wear. Everyone keeps saying that she?s definitely going to go with Valentino for her Oscar dress, which is fine? I guess. I have a worst-case-scenario I keep running through for Annie ? that Mr. Valentino is all, ?You can my precious girl, I will make you something fabulous and unique and you will be the star of the Oscars!? And then Anne gets the dress at the last minute and it sucks. So? I hope she has a backup! I?m mentioning all of this because this beautiful Prada gown might have been in contention for one of the big red carpets ? it?s just so pretty! It gives me hope that Annie will deliver at the BAFTAs and the Oscars.

It?s taken me this long to realize that Anne Hathaway walked the SAG red carpet alone! I guess she sort of did the same thing at the Globes too, although I think she posed with her husband for a few photos at the Globes. But Adam Shulman barely got near a camera at the SAGs, which makes me wonder? is that part of Annie?s Oscar campaign? She?s pulling the ?my marriage is not for public consumption, we don?t walk the red carpet together? thing? If she is doing that, than she probably should stop with the stage-gushing about her marriage, right? I mean, it?s her business, etc, but I expect a more consistent message from her ? either use your marriage as part of your Oscar campaign (as she?s been doing in her acceptance speeches) or don?t use your marriage at all (like not walking the carpet with your new husband). You can?t have it both ways!
Or it could be a hidden option ? like Adam wants Anne to walk the red carpet with her first love, herself. And he?s fine staying in the background and she?s the one who is all GUSH GUSH GUSH and it might make him uncomfortable? Because that?s what these new interviews sound like:
Following the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday, Anne Hathaway was feeling the love at an after party at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills.
Hathaway ? who won an Actor for her role in Les Misrables ? was overheard saying, “I’m in a celebratory mood.”
With a drink in her hand, Hathaway told friends that her engagement ring from husband Adam Shulman is her “prized possession” and that her wedding band “isn’t bad either,” an onlooker tells PEOPLE.
Hathaway ? who, according to a source “was playing matchmaker all night” ? was later overheard telling her friends that she “met a lot of bad ones” before meeting Shulman.

Oh, God, I just got a horrible image of Anne in my head ? she?s your girlfriend who always dates losers, criminals and freaks and when she finally ?settles down? with the last douche standing, suddenly she becomes an expert on love and relationships and she?s condescending to tell you all of the things you need to do to get a man. That?s totally Anne Hathaway. Poor Adam.

Anne Hathaway needs work! While walking the red carpet in a Giambattista Valli gown at the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in L.A. Jan. 27, the Dark Knight Rises actress revealed she has no projects in the pipeline.
“I had a film lined up that we’d taken a breath on, so I’m unemployed. It’s such a funny experience to sort of be here and be in some ways at the pinnacle of what you can achieve as an actor, but also know that you don’t have a job,” she said on Access Hollywood. “That is the life of an actor!”
As she searches for her next movie role, Hathaway will be spending extra time with her jewelry designer husband, Adam Shulman. “I’ll be hosting lots of dinners at my house,” she said. “We’re nesting, playing with my dog — we’re chilling.”
Hathaway picked up her first-ever Screen Actors Guild award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role. In her acceptance speech, the Les Miserables star, 30, briefly mentioned her husband, 31. “I’ll tell you why I love you later,” she told Shulman.
Speaking to Extra later that evening, Hathaway explained that she was “running out of time” and could have “gone on about him” for hours.
“It’s an amazing feeling to be seen by someone you respect so deeply and to be loved and cherished. I had never really been cherished in a relationship before this one and it’s the best feeling in the world,” Hathaway raved of her husband, whom she wed in September 2012. “I just love him so much. This is why I didn’t want to mention it up there. I’m tearing up right now.”

I mean? I?m happy for her. She?s your condescending girlfriend who always dates douches and you have your fingers crossed that THIS ONE is going to turn out to be decent, but you still give him the side-eye because he?s with Anne and she only attracts d-bags. Right? Of course, there?s another option ? Anne is pregnant and her early-pregnancy hormones are making her kind of crazy and emotional and ?extra?. I don?t even know anymore.

Ah, the Five Stages of Hathaway. Where are you? Denial? Sadness? Annoyance? Hatred? Or Acceptance? As a Hathaway Apologist, I?m not sure Annie?s victory at the SAGs was really my night. Anne won Best Supporting Actress for Les Mis, which basically means that she?s totally winning that Oscar. And Anne knows it too. She may be working the ?gaspy, overwhelmed little girl? shtick, but she knows. She?s practiced her acceptance speech, and last night was the dress rehearsal for the Oscars. So, how did she do? Eh. She annoyed me. And that pains me to admit!
Anne wore a Giambattista Valli couture dress which I really disliked. First of all, if we?re just talking about everything from the waist up, Anne has worn something remarkably similar in the not-so-distant past, right? I feel like she?s done the black sheer thing before, and recently. As for the long, sheer tutu and the biker-chick mini underneath? HOT MESS. I?m sorry, but that dress looked incredibly trashy and cheap, especially as she was walking up to accept her award. I felt like we were about to see the Hathaway Beav again. OSCAR! Wouldn?t it be great if she named her beav ?Oscar??
As for her hair and makeup? as I?ve said, I like she seems to be trying to mix up her hairstyles, but I think her hair was too flat at the Globes and too high at the SAGs. Maybe it will be ?just right? for the Oscars. Her makeup is fine ? not too heavy, which was a BIG problem with other ladies last night.

These are some photos from last night?s Producers Guild Awards, which? as awards go, this is a decent indicator of which film is going to win Best Picture. Sometimes. Probably. So does it surprise you that Argo picked up the top award, the Darryl F. Zanuck Award? So I guess Argo is going into the Oscars as the ?favorite?. You can read more of who won what here at Deadline. This post is just about fashion!
So let?s start with the one everybody loves to loathe, Anne Hathaway. She wore Erdem. I really dislike this whole look, and yet? I?m kind of glad Annie is mixing it up. Almost all of the ladies at this event were wearing black and styled so ?Blah, I don?t care, this isn?t a real awards show.? Yes, Anne is a try-hard. But that?s what makes her so fun to talk about! I?m also glad she?s trying different things with her hair.
Nicole Kidman in L?Wren Scott. Naomi Watts in Victoria Beckham. I love Nicole?s look (but I almost always love L?Wren?s stuff) but Nicole?s hair is rough. Naomi?s look is just blah. This was not a good event for fashion.
Jennifer Garner in Oscar de la Renta. Eh. It?s really boring, especially on her.
Amanda Seyfried in Roland Mouret. Did you know Amanda used to have the same stylist as Jennifer Lawrence? The stylist (Elizabeth Stewart) has a major problem with A) colors and B) boobs. Lawrence fired her (and hired Rachel Zoe) last year, so now Amanda gets all of this woman?s attention.
Jessica Alba in Elie Saab. YIKES. First of all, the dress is just too ?I?m a sparkly widow!? And WTF is going on with the styling? Her hair is a hot mess.
Kerry Washington in MARCHESA. For why?!? Oh, right. Harvey Weinstein produced Django. Got it. Also: WTF is with her hair? Was there some kind of hair stylist strike last night and no one told me? This whole post is a bad hair buffet of fugness.

As I said in yesterday?s coverage of the Golden Globes, I thought Anne Hathaway looked slightly pregnant in her Chanel gown, but I made allowances for the phantom bump because I thought her gown had a weird cut through the mid section, and it would have been a perfect gown for someone just entering her second trimester or something. I was not the only one speculating about it either ? apparently, Giuliana Rancic was playing a game of ?Let?s Start A Pregnancy Rumor? on the red carpet, and long story short, Anne?s rep had to come out and deny that Anne is currently knocked up.
Anne Hathaway?s awards season will not be overshadowed by a baby bump. Despite buzz to the contrary, her rep insists, ?She?s not pregnant.?
E! host Giuliana Rancic started up the gossip on the red carpet at the Golden Globes, where she referenced a potential bun in the oven several times. ?Rumors are that Anne Hathaway may be pregnant,? she told viewers. ?That?s the buzz on the street right now, which, if true, may be the ultimate awards season good luck charm.?
?Just ask Natalie Portman, who two years ago swept the award season for her work in ?Black Swan? while she was pregnant with her first child,? Rancic continued. ?Also Rachel Weisz had a bump while picking up hardware for ?The Constant Gardener? in 2006 and Catherine Zeta Jones in 2003, who was just about ready to pop.?
But while Hathaway insists the rumors aren?t true just yet, they will be one day soon. ?I?d like to have a few children, naturally and adopt,? she said in the current issue of ?Harper?s Bazaar UK.? ?I gotta get on it ? I?d like to have as many as I can afford. I?ve had one goal in mind for the past 12 years, which is, ?Get a movie.? Now I might have to say, ?Get a baby.??

As I said? Anne gave me MAJOR Natalie Portman vibes when she accepted her Golden Globe. I am the last Hathaway Apologist standing, and her saccharine speech/attitude/vibe is turning me off, just as Natalie Portman?s attitude turned me off two years ago. Only Natalie had the excuse of pregnancy hormones ? Anne apparently does not have that excuse.
So, here?s what I?d like to happen next. I hope Anne is reading, or someone close to her is reading this: no more pretending like an award victory is some huge SHOCK OMG SURPRISE FACE. She is the closest thing to a lock in a very crowded field across the board. The shock will be if Anne does not win. So for her next awards show appearance ? probably the SAGs on the 27th ? I want Anne to come in poised, professional and mature. She can be excited and jazzed, and she can be proud of herself without apologies. But enough with the ?Aw shucks? act as a perfect tear glistens in her eye and the on-stage love confessions for her husband. Enough.

Let?s talk about Anne Hathaway. Sigh. During my coverage of Anne?s victory at the Critics Choice, I commented on the ?Five Stages of Hathaway,? claiming that I was now at the fifth stage, love and acceptance. Yeah? last night she proved that she can still annoy the hell out of me. Her gaspy, wide-eyed little girl act grates on my last nerve, and all of you who claimed that she was going to pull ?The Natalie Portman Method? were dead-on. It seemed very much like Portman?s awards run two years ago. Here?s Annie?s speech (bonus Jonah Hill & Megan Fox, who were actually really funny together):
As for the fashion and stuff, Annie wore Chanel. I like this dress a lot in photos, but it was something different in motion. In motion, you could see how loose the top was, and it was disconcerting. It made me wonder if Anne is pregnant, or if she wants us to speculate that she?s pregnant. Or maybe she just wanted it loose to remind us of how much weight she lost for her Les Miserables role. Anyway? the Chanel was fine. White was a typical color choice, and I hope Anne goes bolder for the rest of the awards season. She kept everything else really simple – simple makeup, simple hair. It was okay.
Anne also gasped and aw-shucked her way to the mic to shout-out more thank-yous when Les Mis won Best Musical/Comedy:
I?m adding bonus Helena Bonham Carter! She?s fantastic, but this Dolce & Gabbana dress is? ugh.

I know Anne Hathaway is, like, super-EXTRA, but I still love this neurotic bitch. I can?t help it, y?all. It?s like the Five Phases of Hathaway: General Interest, Fan-Girling, Annoyance, Hatred, and finally Acceptance and Love. Annie?s a mess. She can?t help it. She wants that Oscar so badly she can taste it. I kind of like that she?s so in-our-faces about it, honestly. Annie won the Critics? Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress for Les Miserables, because honestly she was going to have a meltdown if she didn?t win. I liked the first part of her speech a lot, where she called out the BFCAA for misspelling her name, and she seemed confident and sassy and funny. Then she reverted back to ?Supplicant Annie, grateful for any award you want to throw at her.? Then she got annoying, but whatever. I?m through my Five Stages of Hathaway. I love her. I accept her for what she is: a neurotic, beave-flashing hot mess of a girl.
Annie wore this sparkly, silvery Oscar de la Renta gown for the event ? it?s okay. It?s very obvious this is one of her starter gowns and she?s building up to much bigger and better looks. Personally, one of my favorite parts of her Oscar co-hosting duties a few years ago was all of the costume changes ? Anne can bring the glamour, you know? But this is okay ? and she had especially good hair and makeup. Pretty, understated, occasion-appropriate.
Bonus Sally Field! I don?t know who did Sally?s dress. It looks like the kind of dress that was probably already in Sally?s closet, something she?s had for years. Many think Sally is Anne?s biggest competition for the Oscar ? and while I get that the Oscar campaigns have just begun, it feels like Sally doesn?t give a crap, right? She?s proud of Lincoln, she?s proud of her work, but she?s not falling all over herself to campaign.
Helen Hunt in a Philip Armstrong gown ? it?s okay. I don?t have a blinding hatred for it, and it?s a nice color on Helen. I think those lace insets look kind of cheap, but this isn?t the Oscar red carpet, so I?ll let it go. I would love it if Helen really tried out some sophisticated glamour for this awards season, wouldn?t you? This feels like the kind of dress Jessica Chastain would choose, and I would need to yell at her for it.
Here?s Emily Blunt and John Krasinski. Emily wore this Miu Miu dress which is? eh. It?s okay. Emily tends to wear a lot of clothes that only someone with her body could really pull off. If she didn?t have a relatively small bust, if she had wider hips, etc, this dress would have been a total failure. But she had that great figure, so the dress sort-of works. But I don?t get why she makes clothes try so hard, you know? Why does everything she wears have to be so overwrought? Throughout the show, the camera kept coming to her, and every time I was like ?Ugh, that hair.? I don?t know if she lightened it for a role or whatever, but she needs to figure out a better way to style it. Maybe bring in a team of hair professionals to figure this crap out.

After multiple promotional runs for her critically-acclaimed film ?Les Miserables,? Anne Hathaway is finally enjoying a night out at the 2013 Critics'Choice Movie Awards in Santa Monica, CA.
The 30-year-old actress worked the red carpet this evening (January 10) in a hot metallic number before heading inside to the Barker Hangar.
Miss Hathaway is up for a Best Supporting Actress award for her role in the musical, alongside Judi Dench, Ann Dowd, Sally Field, Amy Adams, and Helen Hunt.
Best Picture hopefuls include, ?Argo,? ?Beasts of the Southern Wild,? ?Django Unchained,? ?Les Miserables,? ?Life of Pi,? ?Lincoln,? ?The Master,? ?Moonrise Kingdom,? ?Silver Linings Playbook,? and ?Zero Dark Thirty.?
Meanwhile, Bradley Cooper, Daniel Day-Lewis, John Hawkes, Hugh Jackman, Joaquin Phoenix, and Denzel Washington are all in the running for Best Actor.
And the Best Actress nominees include Jessica Chastain, Marion Cotillard, Jennifer Lawrence, Emmanuelle Riva, Quvenzhane Wallis, and Naomi Watts.

The National Board of Review Awards were held last night in NYC. I tend to think of the NBRs as the most prestigious of all of the critics? awards, but that might be a dated idea. It was definitely true a decade ago, but since then, various critics? awards (like the NYFCC and the LA Critics Awards) have vied to become AS important, as much of an Oscar-harbinger as the NBRs. You can see the full list of 2013 NBR winners here. As for Anne Hathaway, she was there because Les Miserables won Best Ensemble. Annie wore Saint Laurent Spring 2013 ? a black tuxedo with flamboyant cuffs. I?m fine with the suit ? I like when younger girls wear suits to these industry events. My problem is with her hair, which seems to be at a self-imposed awkward phase. At this point, I think Annie is only trimming the back and leaving the front too shaggy. It?s the reverse mullet. PS? I dig her black mani & pedi. It?s matchy-matchy, but it?s cute.
Here?s Emily Blunt in Emilio Pucci ? I like this dress on her a lot, and she looks good with John Krasinski. John was probably there because he co-wrote Promised Land, which picked up a ?Freedom of Expression? Award.
Amanda Seyfried (also there for Best Ensemble) in Bottega Veneta. It?s an okay dress, but it kind of washes her out, which is very easy to do considering her coloring. Why doesn?t she stick to darker colors? I don?t get it.
Jessica Chastain won Best Actress for Zero Dark Thirty. She wore Alexander McQueen and she made McQueen looks boring. Ugh, Jessica. Let me style you! I will have you looking like a ginger goddess in no time! You should be aiming for Rita Hayworth, not Duchess Kate.
