| Anne Hathaway will join Rebel Wilson in 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' remake: yay' | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

When I was a kid, I loved Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. People forget how bizarre and enchanting it was to see Michael Caine in that role, something faux-debonair, comedic and silly, considering his career up to that point was so heavy on the dramatic roles. Caine and Steve Martin originated the roles of two con men trying to woo a young heiress, and while the film is perfect as-is, it seems that everything old is new again and of course they?re going to remake it. I don?t feel the kneejerk of ?they?re destroying my childhood? with this remake though. Mostly because this remake seems increasingly cool. Rebel Wilson has been attached to it for months, and now Anne Hathaway is circling the project too. I mean? that sounds like something I would watch. And it?s called NASTY WOMEN. Please. Take my money now.
Anne Hathaway is on the verge of becoming a nasty woman. EW has confirmed that the Academy Award-winner is in talks to star alongside Rebel Wilson in Nasty Women, a remake of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. The actresses will play dueling scam artists competing to con a naive tech prodigy out of his fortune.
Director Frank Oz?s Dirty Rotten Scoundrels was released in 1988 and starred Steve Martin and Michael Caine as the criminal rivals. Wilson?s involvement in the upcoming version was reported back in August, before the new title was set. The Pitch Perfect star is producing the project with Roger Birnbaum (The Magnificent Seven). Jac Schaeffer, who also penned Hathaway?s upcoming film The Shower, wrote the screenplay.
This is the latest female driven team-up for Hathaway, who is joining Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, and more in Ocean?s Eight.
[From EW]
I mean? just the idea of Rebel Wilson and Anne Hathaway going to head-to-head to try to out-seduce a nave tech guy is bringing a smile to my face. Considering I?m a Hathaway Apologist, I?ve always thought she was an underrated comedic actress. I also think Anne has had some issues getting the kinds of roles she wants and thinks she deserves, so she?s in the midst of some kind of career reboot. There seems to be an emphasis on more ensemble films, more crowd-pleasing comedies and that kind of thing. As for Rebel? I hope this is good.

| Anne Hathaway on winning her Oscar: 'I tried to pretend that I was happy' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Anne Hathaway has an interesting newish interview with The Guardian to promote her film Colossal. Colossal premiered at TIFF this year and the consensus amongst critics was that this is a bonkers film, but enjoyable and well-acted. Anne plays a depressed, alcoholic loser who returns to her hometown, and then? well, there?s a sandbox. And when she?s drunk and she plays in this one sandbox, a huge monster causes chaos in South Korea. Spoiler: she IS the monster. Anyway, in this interview she tries to act like she was so ?extra? during her winning Oscar season because she had just gone crazy doing Les Miserables and she was pretending to be happy. Sure. She also has some interesting stuff to say about toxic masculinity.
Playing an alcoholic: ?I have met a lot of addicts in my life who I have a lot of tender affection for. I love when stories present the opportunity to take groups that have been stigmatised or judged and then show the human side. I always look at them and think, ?That?s me in there,? on some level.
Whether this is a film about toxic masculinity: ?I?m glad that you used the word ?toxic?, because it?s very important to say that it?s very different from male energy. Male energy is beautiful. Male energy is welcome. Male energy is necessary. Male energy is half the reason why we?re here. That said, there has been a perversion of the beauty of male energy into this macho ideal that I don?t think services anybody. In the case of Ghostbusters, the thing that made me so sad about that experience was that people seemed to be blaming the girls for the men who chose to hit the film that they were in, and I didn?t think that was cool. In terms of my new movie, what our director was saying was that he thinks this energy really has no place in our world any more.
Whether she?s sick of blockbusters drowning out the smaller films: ?No. But you?re right that things are not working in the way that people want them to and there?s a need to reassess. I don?t take it personally when bad movies get made. It takes so much work to make anything. I don?t know where it?s going to lead to, and I don?t know if this movie is going to have an impact. I?d like to think it might empower people to take risks, but I don?t think we need to diminish one in order to celebrate the other.
Whether she?s seen the newly rebooted Batman movie: ?I haven?t had a chance to see the films yet because I?m feeding a child from my body, and that takes up all my time, but I am aware of the reactions that various movies have had. I just think you gotta remember that no one sets out to make a bad movie and when people do, they?re aware of it.?
The craziness of her winning Oscar season: ?I felt very uncomfortable. I kind of lost my mind doing that movie and it hadn?t come back yet. Then I had to stand up in front of people and feel something I don?t feel which is uncomplicated happiness. It?s an obvious thing, you win an Oscar and you?re supposed to be happy. I didn?t feel that way. I felt wrong that I was standing there in a gown that cost more than some people are going to see in their lifetime, and winning an award for portraying pain that still felt very much a part of our collective experience as human beings. I tried to pretend that I was happy and I got called out on it, big time. That?s the truth and that?s what happened. It sucks. But what you learn from it is that you only feel like you can die from embarrassment, you don?t actually die.
[From The Guardian]
I thought her subtle shade on Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice was probably the most tactful thing she could say. Clearly, she was proud to be a part of Christopher Nolan?s Batman movies, but no, Zac Snyder?s vision is full of lens flares, stupidity and Sad Batfleck. As for Annie pretending to be happy and that?s why ?I got called out on it, big time.? That?s an interesting rewrite on that situation. I feel for her, because it?s not like she did anything ?wrong? ? she was simply annoying. She didn?t commit a crime, she didn?t bad-mouth anyone, she was totally professional. She just annoyed the sh-t out of everybody and it became a thing that she still has to talk about in interviews more than three years later. Poor Annie.

There is no shame in gaining weight during pregnancy (or ever). There is no shame if it takes longer than you think it will to lose the weight (if you want to lose it at all). There is no shame in finally breaking down and making your own jean shorts because last summer's are just too dang short for this summer's thighs. Bodies change. Bodies grow. Bodies shrink. It's all love (don't let anyone tell you otherwise.) Peace xx #noshame #lovewhatyouhavebeengiven

| Anne Hathaway cried when a trainer made a comment about her 'baby weight' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Anne Hathaway is currently promoting her role in Alice Through the Looking Glass, which is why she appeared on The Ellen Show on Tuesday. This was actually her first TV interview since giving birth two months ago, and honestly, I already see a difference in Anne. She?s really sleep-deprived, for one. And as I said yesterday, I think the sleep deprivation is making her kind of punch-drunk. Anyway, she told a story about going back to the gym after she gave birth to her son, Jonathan Rosebanks (who she calls Jonny). Is two months too early to go back to the gym? It?s different for every woman, and I?m sure Anne?s doctors gave her the nod. But still, she really did just give birth, so she had a particularly emotional reaction when some dude made a comment about her ?baby weight.?
Anne Hathaway gave birth only eight weeks ago, so she’s not totally ready to resume some of her normal routines. She did decide, however, that she would go back to the gym, but even that has been tough.
“Being a Mom has changed me in a couple ways. I actually, not based on this moment, but other moments feel a lot more confident. Normally you walk into the gym and you see, I work out in West Hollywood, so you see like Thor’s trainer, you know the people who have too many muscles to be in The Avengers that’s who works out at my gym,” she explains, adding that she has returned to the gym only three times. “So I would normally walk in and feel so intimidated, but I walk in I’m like yeah I work out with 5 pound weights, but I pushed a baby out of my body I feel good right now. So I don’t care what I look like, I feel great. I’m on this [row] machine, whatever that does.”
All of a sudden, someone started to stare at the Oscar-winning star, so at first she thought she was doing something incorrectly and became a little insecure. “I see this guy who does actually look like Thor’s trainer staring at me and I’m like, ‘Oh God. Am I doing something wrong?’” Hathaway recalls. “In the past I just would have slunk off my machine.”
With her new mommy confidence, Hathaway explains that she asked the trainer if everything was OK, and they struck up a short conversation. But it didn’t end there.
“He’s like, ‘So you been working out at this gym for a long time.’ And I’m like oh my God he’s hitting on me. Nice! New mom. I feel really good about myself and I’m like, ‘Oh, yeah I’ve been coming here for a little bit.’ He’s like, ‘Cool, I’m a trainer here and just wondering if you want some pointers.’ And I’m like, Oh no he’s not hitting on you he just wants a job.”
Spoiler alert: He didn’t get the job because instead of giving her the proper response after she revealed she had recently given birth, he body shamed her. “If somebody says I had a baby 13 years ago you say you look great. That is what you do that is the etiquette,” she explains on the show. “So I say to this guy I had a baby seven weeks ago. And he goes, ‘Oh, trying to lose the baby weight!’” Hathaway explains that she kept her cool in the moment, but afterwards she walked away and cried!
[From E! News]
To be fair to the dude-face trainer, he didn?t assume that she had just had a baby, he waited until she said it. And he didn?t say, ?Oh, that?s why you look that way.? But yeah, it was rude. Really rude. There?s such an epidemic of rude gym trainers, right? I?ve been going to the same gym for years and I have my routine and I know what I?m doing (for the most part) and I stay in my particular comfort zone. But inevitably, a new trainer will show up and try to tell me what I should be doing in a really patronizing way. Like, ?Oh, do you understand how the treadmill works?? Yes, trust me, I understand. Now go away. As for Anne?s situation, the guy just wanted work and he probably thought he was being helpful. And she should have told him to just go away. Or she could have gone to the manager in tears and gotten the guy fired. Which is a revenge fantasy that has gotten me through many workouts.

Here is Anne Hathaway revealing her large baby bump while hiking with her husband, Adam Shulman, near Runyon Canyon in Los Angeles.
Anne and Adam had stepped out together earlier in the week for a romantic dinner date at a restaurant in West Hollywood.
She looked radiant in a sheer black tee and black leggings, with a gray sweatshirt tied around her waist. She appeared happy and relaxed as she walked the lengthy trails with Shulman and their dogs.

| Anne Hathaway in Naeem Khan at the VF Oscar party: stunning & '70s' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Anne Hathaway came out for the Vanity Fair Oscar party last night, and I?m surprised to see so many sites running these photos. Annie has been taking a break from the spotlight for months now, so I take this whole thing as ?people actually sort of miss seeing Annie Hathaway.? Which should make her feel good. You know what else should make her feel good? This totally beautiful maternity look by Naeem Khan. This is sort of ?70s-inspired but it really, really works. This is maybe the best maternity look I?ve seen in years. Annie looks so beautiful! She?s glowing.
Minnie Driver also wore Naeem Khan to the VF party. I hate this. It makes her look like she?s in her 60s.
There were so many Naeem Khan frocks at the after-parties!! Both Ashley Greene and Brittany Snow wore Naeem Khan gowns at Elton John?s Oscar party too. I actually love Ashley Greene?s dress so much, it?s the perfect party frock. Brittany?s is meh.

| 2016 Oscars Open Post: Hosted by pregnant Anne Hathaway | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here is your 2016 Oscars Open Post, hosted by forever Oscar-winner Anne Hathaway. Our beloved Annie is knocked up these days, as you can see in these photos. She was photographed leaving the Armani pre-Oscar party in Beverly Hills last night. Armani was celebrating Leonardo DiCaprio, because of course. While Annie probably came out because she?s tight with the Armani label, I?d like to think she came out to celebrate Leo because Leo is the Annie Hathaway of the Oscars this year: inevitable and annoying. In fact, I would argue that Leo is much, much worse than Annie ever was. Also, I?ll forever associate Annie with the Oscars because remember when she hosted with James Franco? God, what were they thinking?
Annie?s not scheduled to present, but who knows? Maybe she?ll come out for some parties tonight. She?s been keeping a lower profile throughout her pregnancy, but everyone comes out for the VF party, right? Anyway, we?ll have full coverage of the Oscars tomorrow, and we?ll be trying to get to some of the best party photos tomorrow too, but the party coverage will probably extend to Tuesday as well.
You can see this year?s Oscar nominations here, and if you want to review all of the #OscarsSoWhite drama, just go here to our Oscars category. I would imagine this year?s telecast will have great ratings, just because people will be tuning in to see what Chris Rock says in his opening monologue. Plus, the Academy has made a point of getting some racially diverse presenters. We?ll see. Please come back tomorrow (bright and early!!!) for our Oscar coverage.
Celebitchy & I will be tweeting throughout the red carpet and Oscars telecast as well ? go here for my Twitter and here for Celebitchy?s Twitter.

She?s been married to Adam Shulman since September 2012 and now Anne Hathaway is pregnant with her first child.
According to an E! News source, the ?Dark Knight Rises? dame is in her second trimester and she?s ?feeling great.?
Previously, Anne told the Telegraph, "I'll start with one healthy kid but I'd like to have a few naturally and adopt. I gotta get on it, you know? I'd like to have as many (kids) as I can afford, not just financially but in terms of time, because you want to make sure each one feels special. I want to be a mother, and I anticipate loving my children quite fiercely."

| Anne Hathaway sent back her breakfast poached egg four times: diva or fine? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|

|
|
I?m going back and forth in my mind about whether I believe this story is sexist. I still haven?t made a decision. I kind of think this would be notable if we learned this about a dude, but would we have even learned this if it was a guy? Over the weekend, TMZ got a tip about Anne Hathaway. Annie was filming a Japanese commercial ? which probably came with a multi-million-dollar paycheck ? on the Paramount lot last week. Annie put in her breakfast order: a poached egg with an English muffin and avocado. She ended up sending back her breakfast FOUR TIMES.
Anne Hathaway likes her eggs just so, and God help the chef who goes astray. Hathaway was on the Paramount lot last week shooting a Japanese commercial when she ordered breakfast — a poached egg, along with an English muffin and avocado. The guys catering the shoot were going crazy, because she sent the dish back 4 TIMES!!
1st try: Poached egg too runny.
2nd try: English muffin was cold because it sat while egg #2 was being poached.
3rd try: Egg #2 cold because it sat while chef toasted muffin #2.
4th try: Egg, muffin and avocado were perfect, but it took so long she decided she was in the mood for a fried egg.
She’s totally ovo it.
[From TMZ]
To be fair to the caterers, poached eggs are pretty difficult to master, especially if a person has specifications like ?the egg cannot be too runny.? To be fair to Annie, what kind of on-set caterer makes a second poached egg and keeps the cold English muffin? So, is this diva-like behavior or just a lady who knows what she wants and isn?t afraid to demand it? These kinds of food requirements are built into her contract, I?m almost positive. As in, if Anne was scheduled to spend the whole day on the lot, shooting this commercial, the production company or advertising company was required contractually to feed her to her specifications. And they did not. Which could be seen by some as a breach of contract.
