Thank you for not letting me down on Friday and making that Ryan Gosling-Eva Mendes post one of the most commented-on of the day. Allegedly, Eva Mendes wants to have Gosling?s baby and she?s already gone off of The Pill. These are new photos of Ryan and Eva at LAX over the weekend, headed for a flight out of LA. They walked into LAX separately – sort of. But for the most part, standing in line and going through security checks, they were together. You can see more photos of them here.
What does their body language say to you? And what does this joint ?candid? appearance say to you? What it says to me: the occasional photo op in NYC and Paris aside, these two still actively try to avoid being photographed together. But? while they aren?t going to go out of their way to make it easy for the paparazzi, they?re also not too perturbed when they are spotted out together. My theory is still that one of them (cough) wants to be seen as part of a couple while the other person (cough) doesn?t want to famewhore their relationship. I don?t know, though.
Should we also talk about Eva?s fashion? As she gets pap?d more and more these days, I have to say? her casual style is lacking. She?s not like Jennifer Garner, who seems to simply prioritize comfort and ?mom clothes?. I get the feeling that Eva really thinks the outfits she puts together are super-cute. And they?re not. These green pants should be destroyed. These pants give her Phantom Fupa.

I?m foreseeing a great deal of hate for Eva Mendes in the first round, followed by a second round of convoluted debating about reproductive rights, contraception and third-wave feminism, followed by a third round devoted to how much Ryan Gosling sucks because he?s with Eva Mendes. Do not disappoint me, people. Star Magazine reports that Eva Mendes wants to have Ryan Gosling?s baby. I KNOW. She wants to gestate a baby gosling (redundant) so badly, she?s allegedly issued Ryan a ?Put a baby in me or we?re over? ultimatum. The kicker – and the buried lede – is that Star Mag?s sources claim that Eva is ALREADY gone off The Pill. Flame on, y?all.
It might be time for Ryan Gosling to put or shut up with girlfriend Eva Mendes, as the stunning actress is demanding a little Gosling from the Hollywood hunk.
?Eva has given Ryan an ultimatum. She told Ryan she wants a baby with him, and that if he isn?t prepared to do that, they should split up,? a source tells Star.
Eva, 38, has told multiple friends she is off the Pill and ready to become a mom. ?Eva?s clock is ticking,? says the source. ?She?s been aching to start a family for a few years – and even seriously looked into adoption in the summer of 2010. But now she and Ryan are together, and he?s mature beyond his years and great with kids.?
Eva believes that Ryan, 31, will be an amazing father and that the timing is right because they are in a committed relationship.
?He?s loyal and not a skirt-chaser,? the source says. But that doesn?t mean Ryan?s totally on board himself. ?Ryan loves Eva, but he isn?t ready for a baby right now – he?s concentrating on his career,? the source explains. And that may just put an abrupt end to the adorable couple.
?Eva?s considering her options. If Ryan doesn?t change his mind, this could end up destroying their relationship.?

I believed the Us Weekly story a few weeks ago with sources claiming that Ryan ?grew distant? with Eva for several months, and they?re relationship was in flux. But! I think that photo op they did together in NYC was a public confirmation that they?re still very much ?on? and very serious about each other. Gosling doesn?t do those photo-ops with just any random Disneyland piece. Eva is ?special?. Special enough to carry a Gosling baby? Hmmm?.

Almost one week ago, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes stepped out for what seemed like their first big, blatant candid photo op since their holiday in the City of Lights last November. Can you believe they?ve been together? something like eight or nine months? I?m counting that September trip to Disneyland as ?the beginning? of their relationship, just because it seems like Gosling took all of his girls there in the first stages of dating (and then post-Disneyland, he would dump them).
Now, Gosling and Eva had been photographed together a few times in between Thanksgiving and last week, but it really seemed like Eva was trying to tone down her famewhore, perhaps under orders from Ryan Gosling, who must realize that he?s become somewhat overexposed. In those dark months, Eva and Ryan often faced speculation (which I started) that their relationship wasn?t for real, that they weren?t really into each other, that he had already dumped her, etc. The photo op last week was a bold move, I thought. All of a sudden, I thought, ?Wow, they?re way more solid than I previously believed.? Especially considering that pre-photo-op, it really seemed like Eva and Ryan were barely seeing each other any more. Well? we were sort of right, according to Us Weekly. Throughout April, Eva and Ryan were kind of on the outs. Sort of.
Eva Mendes got to play house with Ryan Gosling all spring when she tagged along to Thailand for his Only God Forgives shoot. The actress cooked up a storm for their dinners, marvels a Mendes pal: ?This was a girl who once couldn?t make pasta!?
But come late April, when the duo were back in LA, it got complicated. Gosling, 31, grew distant, and Mendes, 38, confronted him, says the pal.
?He says he wants to slow down and not live with her yet. But he doesn?t want to lose her.?

I have wondered how Ryan managed to go from girl to girl so quickly, and how he managed to do it all with his ?sweet heartthrob? image intact (when really the guy goes through girls like a Gerard Butler). Is this how Ryan does it? He does the ?growing distant? and the ?phase out? breakup? That sucks. But Eva managed to hold on to him for some reason. Maybe Ryan finds it beneficial to have an ?official? girlfriend right now. Jesus, is he turning into Justin Timberlake?
Oh, and In Touch Weekly (via Jezebel) has a story this week about Ryan meeting Eva Mendes’s mom. Apparently Mother Mendes loves and adores Ryan and she was seen ?gushing, hugging and kissing? Ryan in the front yard of somebody?s house. Hm?

Looking for a little afternoon boost, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes were spotted grabbing coffee in New York City yesterday (May 10).
The ?Lars and the Real Girl? stud and his ?Hitch? honey looked to be in good spirits as they walked along the street holding hands following their stop at the East Village?s Panya Bakery.
And it sounds like both Ryan and Eva have plenty of promotional duties coming up later this year.
Gosling will be starring in ?The Gangster Squad? with Sean Penn and Emma Stone, while Eva?s ?Girl In Progress? is now playing.

I?m sorry to do this to you on a Friday. You?re going to be thinking about these photos all weekend, spiraling into a fit of depression and Eva-loathing, right? I?m sorry. If it helps, just think of it this way: Eva Mendes is our Gosdong-boning avatar. We can live through her experiences. She is a blank slate on which we can project the dream that we too could pull in Ryan Gosling. Does that help? So, obviously, these are new photos of Ryan and Eva out and about in NYC yesterday. I think Ryan has been in NYC for a while, and Eva came in for the Met Gala on Monday night – although she went to the event solo, and some people (me) have been on ?Break-up Watch? since before the Met Gala. But they haven?t broken up. They are together. Not just together – they are loved up to the extreme. Ryan agreeing to a candid photo op with his girl on the streets of NYC? They?re way more serious than I was thinking. Oh, and Eva is talking about Ryan in interviews too:
She attended the annual Met Gala solo this week, increasing speculation of a split with her boyfriend of eight months Ryan Gosling. But Eva Mendes put any and all breakup rumors to rest today as she went on a romantic afternoon stroll with the handsome 31-year-old in New York.
After expertly dodging Gosling questions from Ellen Degeneres earlier this week, the 38-year-old actress slightly opened up about her relationship with USA Today.
‘I’m feeling a little insecure because I can’t help but be super conscious of what I’m saying because I’m so protective,’ Eva said, when asked about Ryan. ‘That’s the most precious thing to me. And I’m so protective and I just felt my guard go up.’
Walking hand-in-hand in a strong show of silent solidarity, the acting couple stopped for coffee and Ryan held a bag of Pan Ya Chinese takeout.
Ryan and Eva met on the set of their movie ‘The Place Beyond The Pines,’ which centers on a motorcycle stunt rider who considers committing a crime in order to provide for his wife and child.
‘I play Ryan Gosling’s love interest and his baby mama,’ she said before pausing. ‘There’s the guard going up again a little bit! I’m pushing it down! And through this horrible tragedy, I have to deal with the fact that I now have this child to raise?It basically is this epic family drama that is really beautiful and emotional.’
Eva called Gosling her ‘dream co-star’ in the March issue of Marie Claire: ‘I have never felt so creatively satisfied on a film. He?s amazing.’
When Ellen Degeneres gave the Girl in Progress star a ‘double-onesie’ to share with her beau, all Ellen got in return was a fit of giggles from the brunette star.
‘Because he likes [onesies] so much, when you see him – if you see him, if you run into him – I’ve got a gift that I think both of you would have fun [with]. [This could work] as an icebreaker when you meet him for the first time,’ the funnywoman joked.
Finally composed, the stunning star then gave a telling answer that will have the women of the world tutting with disappointment.
She responded cheekily: ‘If I happen to see him tonight, I will give this to him. I’m saying if I run to him – you never know.’

Don?t even bother getting your feathers ruffled about Eva publicly acknowledging (again) her relationship with Gosling. We would hate her if she completely clammed up, and we would hate her if she talked too much about it. She?s finding a balance between being coy and being a famewhore. And apparently, whatever she?s doing is fine with Ryan. In fact, I starting to actually believe they might be for real. That hurt to admit.
PS? Why is Eva still trying to make that fug sweater ?happen?? She was wearing it a few weeks ago in LA too.

The ?We Own the Night? actress was the talk of the red carpet thanks to her unique bright orange strapless gown with black and white accents and her wavy brown tresses ahead of the ?Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations? event.
The annual fete finds actress Carey Mulligan acting as honorary co-chair alongside designer Miuccia Prada and US Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, while Azealia Banks is lined up to perform.
As for the celebratory occasion, this year's rendition of the Met gala ushers in the 'Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations' exhibition exploring "the striking affinities between Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada, two Italian designers from different eras."
The display is described as being "inspired by Miguel Covarrubias's "Impossible Interviews" for Vanity Fair in the 1930s while featuring "orchestrated conversations between these iconic women to suggest new readings of their most innovative work."

Stepping out for a midweek promotional opportunity, Eva Mendes was spotted at the Los Angeles premiere of ?Girl in Progress? last night (May 2).
The ?We Own the Night? actress looked beautiful as she posed with Cierra Ramirez outside the DGA Theater in a yellow and white dress.
Meanwhile, Eva is rumored to have split up with her boyfriend of six months Ryan Gosling, as they haven?t been seen together in over a month.
An insider told press, "Ryan and Eva are having trouble seeing eye to eye. He was having dinner with a blonde model who said she was from Berlin. He tried to disguise himself with a woolly hat and scarf and seemed eager not to be noticed as they sat at a beach table, but he was clearly entranced by her."

Here are some photos of Eva Mendes at an LA screening of her new movie, Girl In Progress, last night. Eva wore Honor. I?m not crazy about the dress, y?all. I just don?t think it suits her. She?s an attractive woman with a crazy body – perhaps this full-skirted silhouette isn?t right for her? I?m not saying she has to always wear skin-tight, sexy clothes, but this just seems too girlish and cutesy for Eva?s general vibe. My favorite part of the look? Eva?s bracelet, which is gorge.
Obviously, Ryan Gosling was not at the screening last night. As for whether or not Ryan Gosling and Eva are still together? look, I have no idea. They came back from Thailand at the end of March, and since then, I don?t think they?re been photographed together once. Eva seems to have stayed put in LA since Thailand, where Gosling was in NYC? and maybe Canada too? He was back in LA a few weeks ago, but I have no idea where he is right now. I?m sure the Gosling know-it-alls will yell at me momentarily, and I welcome your information. My take on this situation continues to be along these lines: there?s something funky about this pairing, and Eva is trying really hard to make this relationship work, in any form. And I?m not sure Gosling is into it. But we?ll see.

Here are some new photos of Eva Mendes in Beverly Hills yesterday. According to the photo agency, she was spotted out and about, doing some shopping. As far as I can tell, Eva has been in LA since returning from Thailand several weeks ago. Eva was in Thailand for more than a month, keeping Ryan Gosling company as he filmed a movie – and perhaps keeping an eye on him so he didn?t get distracted by any pretty young things too. What?s interesting to me is that Ryan Gosling seemed to spend a lot of time in NYC after the Thailand film shoot ended. Ryan and Eva seemed to be taking a little break after spending so much time together in Thailand, and some people hoped the ?break? would actually lead to an actual breakup.
But! Ryan was photographed in LA several days ago. Eva was spotted last week, stocking up on groceries, allegedly in preparation for Ryan?s return. So? officially, Ryan and Eva are still together. Meaning that there has been no breakup announcement, and Eva and her rep will issue statements combating any rumor that there?s trouble in paradise. This was your Gosling-Mendes FYI of the Day.
Also – should we talk about Eva?s outfit here? That sweater looks so dated! I think my mom had that sweater in 1986. Same buttons, same unflattering cut. I don?t really get Eva?s ?look? in general though.

She's always easy on the eyes, and today (April 12) was no different as Eva Mendes showed off her good looking self while grabbing brunch in West Hollywood, CA.
The 38-year-old actress opted to chow down at Hugo's today while exiting the restaurant with a coffee to-go and left overs in-hand.
The outing comes as Miss Mendes recently dished about how she's feeling better than ever these days thanks to getting herself into a regular fitness routine.
"When I was younger, I was blessed with a fast metabolism, so I never had to work out keep in shape," the "Hitch" hottie explained. "Now I feel that it worked against me because I could have felt this great back then. I've never felt as good as I do today."
