Trying hard to go under the radar, Eva Mendes was spotted paying a visit to a convenience store in Los Angeles late last night (December 28).
The ?We Own the Night? actress looked cute and casual as she carried a few tabloid magazines back to her car with her while sporting an NYPD cap.
Over the weekend, Eva happened to use the services of the boys in blue - as she got a pretty good scare when her home alarm was set off by an unknown cause.
On Christmas morning at 3:40am, Mendes called 911 after her Hollywood Hills alarm system was activated. Thankfully, police didn?t find any evidence of foul play.

Having just been released in Italy, the English version trailer of the movie "Last Night" has made its way onto the web.
Still in search of a U.S. distributor, the Keira Knightley/Eva Mendes film is currently up for grabs - although insiders expect someone to pick up the Massy Tadjedin directed romantic drama in the near future.
Boasting quite the impressive cast, Keira and Eva are joined by male counterparts Sam Worthington and Guillaume Canet.
The story follows "a married couple, apart for a night while the husband takes a business trip with a colleague to whom he's attracted. While he's resisting temptation, his wife encounters her past love."

Keeping a busy schedule during her overseas excursion, Eva Mendes has been a mainstay at the 5th International Rome Film Festival in Italy over the past few days.
In town promoting her upcoming movie "Last Night," the 36-year-old actress hit the red carpet on Saturday (October 30) to attend the "La Dolce Vita" world restoration premiere at Auditorium Parco Della Musica.
The previous evening, Miss Mendes joined alongside director Massy Tadjedin to check out the Rome premiere of the upcoming movie "Little White Lies".
As for her film "Last Night," the Massy Tadjedin directed romantic drama "follows a married couple, apart for a night while the husband takes a business trip with a colleague to whom he's attracted. While he's resisting temptation, his wife encounters her past love."

Continuing their time overseas promoting the film ?Last Night,? Keira Knightley and Eva Mendes attended the opening of the 5th International Rome Film Festival in Rome, Italy on Thursday night (October 28).
The ?Pirates of the Caribbean? babe and her ?Hitch? gal pal looked gorgeous upon arrival, quickly being escorted into the theater after checking out a protest over the Italian government?s drastic cuts in funds for cultural events.
The lovely ladies finally made it in inside the Auditorium Parco Della Musica venue with the help of a few bodyguards before 800 plus people stormed the red carpet.
As for their flick, Knightley recently described it as a thought-provoking film that leaves it to the audience to decide just exactly what constitutes cheating.

The 5th International Rome Film Festival opened today and is scheduled to run until November 5th in the historical Italian city.
Films from the United States, Mexico, Ireland, Denmark, Japan, Hong Kong, France, and Iran will be featured throughout the festival.

Hollywood hotties and big name events go hand-in-hand, and last night (October 25) Jessica Biel, Eva Mendes, and Demi Moore all showed up at the 5th Anniversary of Glamour Reel Moments in Los Angeles.
The ?7th Heaven? actress looked lovely in a lacy black dress teamed with a pair of matching peep-toe heels as she arrived at the Director?s Guild of America.
Meanwhile, Miss Mendes provided plenty of eye candy as well, sporting a sexy strapless white dress as she worked her magic.
And Demi Moore added some spice to the recipe with a black leather jacket/trousers combo along with a half-buttoned oversized blouse.
