Here are some new photos of Eva Mendes and her GIANT DOG, shopping in LA yesterday with the help of Eva?s stylist, Rachel Zoe. First of all, I forgot that Zoe was Eva?s stylist. That?s? odd. Zoe?s clients include Cameron Diaz, Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Garner. I guess Eva Mendes would be at that kind of level of ?fashion girl? but it still seems kind of weird to me. Two, we really need to talk about Eva?s dog.
I really didn?t know Eva had a big dog. I thought Eva merely looked after Ryan Gosling?s Mohawked puppy George when Ryan was away. I?m sure Mendes-Gosling know-it-alls will yell at me and tell me OF COURSE Eva has always had a giant dog, but I seriously didn?t know. As for the dog ? he?s awesome. I love big dogs, probably because I?ve always been a dog-mom to a big dogs. My monster is bigger than this puppy, but not by much. I like when a woman has a big dog ? a big dog makes you feel safe, he?ll make you feel like at least someone has got your back.
But I?m bothered by the fact that Eva didn?t seem to bring a leash for her big dog?? She seems to be pulling on his collar (kind of choking him) for the short walk from a building to the car. I know that stance very well ? the dog is strong enough to rip her arm off, so she?s doing a preemptive ?You better behave? choke-hold on her dog ? which is good for the paparazzi, because the dog could conceivably go buck-wild on them. I?ll admit, I?ve done this before, mostly when my dog was misbehaving and I was leading him into the house (where he would get a thump on the snout and a ?BAD. DOG.?). But if Eva brought her puppy out into the world, into an office building or store or something?? Why not just bring his leash, you know?

Celebrating the dog days of summer, Eva Mendes was spotted making her way around West Hollywood, CA with Hugo on Monday afternoon (August 20).
The "2 Fast 2 Furious" starlet rocked a long brown maxi skirt and classic white top as she visited a local office.
Switching to career news, the 38-year-old actress was featured in the trailer for the Leos Carax directed drama, "Holy Motors."
The flick is officially described as follows: "From dawn to dusk, a few hours in the life of Monsieur Oscar, a shadowy character who journeys from one life to the next. He is, in turn, captain of industry, assassin, beggar, monster, family man... "

Even Eva Mendes works on her acting skills as she was seen heading into a class in Westwood, CA on Saturday (August 4).
The "2 Fast 2 Furious" actress looked perfect for the warm weather in a cream summer dress and tan wedges as she fed her parking meter before taking part in the dramatic activities.
In other personal news, though the 38-year-old starlet and her beau Ryan Gosling haven't been been spotted out together in quite awhile, it appears the pair is still going strong.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the brunette beauty was recently seen taking the "Drive" actor's adorable pooch George out for a walk in Beverly Hills.

Stepping out for some exercise, Eva Mendes took her dog Hugo for a walk in Beverly Hills yesterday afternoon (August 2).
The ?We Own The Night? actress looked gorgeous in an attention-getting red shirt dress and strappy beige kicks as she made her way around town.
Earlier in the week, Ms. Mendes decided to reward herself for all of her hard work with a spot of retail therapy in Los Angeles.
In career news, Eva has been nominated in the Favorite Movie Actress- Drama/Adventure by the 2012 NCLR ALMA Awards for her role in ?Girl in Progress.?

This is the second day in a row that we have new Eva Mendes photos! This, after a Eva Mendes drought for more than a month. Aren?t we lucky? These are photos of Eva ?running errands? with a cute companion. Do you recognize her buddy? That?s George, Ryan Gosling?s Mohawked dog. So? you let your lady spend the day with your dog. What does that mean? That means Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are still very much together. It also means that George got to spend the day with his mom (step-mom?) as she got her hair done and picked up some food. My puppy is fine with a quick food pickup, but he would definitely NOT behave if I took him to a hair salon. My dog would be Chaos Incarnate. So maybe George is really well-behaved? Maybe he just tolerates Eva. Or maybe she gives him bacon, which is the surest way to any dog?s heart.
Anyway? we discussed some other photos of Eva yesterday in which Eva seemed to be shielding her torso from paparazzi inspection. And now in these photos, Eva is wearing a very loose dress. Is she trying to tell us something? Something of the baby bump variety? Eh. I thought for a moment that she looked kind of pregnant from behind yesterday (go here to see those photos), but I really can?t tell in these pics. Pregnancy might explain why she and Ryan dropped off the radar for a little bit. And I could totally see an ?unplanned? pregnancy for Ryan and Eva, quite honestly. All I?m saying is that these photos aren?t definitive proof.

Do you realize that it?s been more than a month since I?ve written about Eva Mendes? Weird, right? For several months there, Eva made sure to get pap?d a few times a week during her errands, and it seemed like the tabloids were always suspiciously full of pro-Mendes rumors about how Ryan Gosling is super in-love with her. These are the first new photos we?ve had of Eva in a while ? she was photographed, once again, running errands in LA. I wonder why Eva (and Ryan) went dark for a month? I wonder how they?re doing? Do you think they?re still together? Ryan was just photographed in LA yesterday too ? so at least they?re in the same city.
As for these photos ? I loathe Capri pants, but these kind of look good on Eva. I love her flip-flops. I like her high ponytail too. I can never do a high pony like that ? it makes me feel like a rooster.
In other Eva news, her latest film, Holy Motors, has a new trailer. This is the film that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and Eva didn?t even show up to promote it. Because she didn?t want to leave Gosling?s side? Or because this film looks like a big, steaming pile of ?WTF??

Before all of the Gosling fan-girls kept voodoo dolls of her, Eva Mendes was in a long-term relationship with a man named George Gargurevich, also known as George Augusto (for whatever reason). George and Eva were together for eight years, and although there were some rumors of breakups here and there, I have to admit – it seemed pretty stable, especially for Hollywood. George and Eva broke up last year, probably around July 2011. Eva and Ryan Gosling were a thing by the Fall of 2011. So? she moved quickly. And Ryan is looking less and less like her rebound after what was basically a common-law marriage to George. Now Star Magazine reports that Ryan is a bit perturbed by Eva?s ongoing friendship/business partnership with George. Hmm? Ryan is jelly?!
Eva Mendes may be hot and heavy with Ryan Gosling, 31, but she still can?t seem to cut ties with her ex George Gargurevich, whom she dated for eight years.
?Back in October, Eva and Ryan were constantly fighting because George was still living in his and Eva?s shared home,? a source says. ?Ryan flipped out about it. George finally moved out, but now the two are going to be working together on their new home-accessories line, Vida. Ryan hates their constant communication and just wants it to end.?
The only trouble is, Vida is actually George?s idea, so Eva doesn?t feel like she can just kick him out of the business. She also knows that he would put up a fight, considering he didn?t want the relationship to end in the first place and is hanging on to Eva any way that he can.
?Ryan keeps telling her to just buy him out, but she doesn?t feel right firing him. Plus, Eva actually really values George?s opinion and friendship. Why should she have to banish him from her life just because Ryan feels threatened??

Is it okay if I don?t really have an opinion about this? It could be true, it could be false. I don?t really see Ryan as a jealous dude, especially considering this relationship seems kind of fauxmance-y to me, but? it could happen. Dudes do get jealous. Especially when their ladies are still in business with their exes.

Here are some new photos of Eva Mendes flower-shopping in Los Feliz, California yesterday. Eva has been getting pap?d on a regular basis ever since she and Ryan Gosling got together. I?d have to check, but it feels like it averages out to about two or three paparazzi-friendly outings a week, and when in LA, Eva is almost always photographed solo. Do photographers stake out her house and then just follow her around as she runs her errands? Or does she (or someone else) call some photographer and say, ?Eva will be at Starbucks at 10 am?? I don?t know. I really don?t.
I do get the feeling that Eva is now dressing for the paparazzi, though. Meaning that she?s trying to put together cute ensembles because she knows she?s going to be photographed. For yesterday?s errand – picking up flowers – Eva chose a flower-printed shift dress. This is maybe one of the cutest things I?ve ever seen Eva wear. I?m not crazy about her penchant for silky Hammer pants and button-covered sweaters, but I do like this. She looks like a 1950s housewife. What does it say about me that I like that look?
As for the flower-purchase? do you think she?s just buying flowers to beautify her nest for herself and for Ryan Gosling? Or is she going to be entertaining? I only buy flowers these days when I?m feeling blue and I want to perk myself up. I?ve been side-eyeing the potted orchids at my local Kroger too – should I buy myself an orchid? I should.

These are some new photos of Eva Mendes getting (you guessed it) Starbucks yesterday in LA. So it appears that Eva and Ryan Gosling are back from their wonderful and exciting Canadian tour, where Ryan brought his girlfriend to his mom?s college graduation, thus signifying to the world that Eva is THE ONE. Did you just have a rage-stroke? I don?t really know if Ryan thinks Eva is ?The One? but they do seem to be surprisingly solid for a celebrity couple. Especially considering that just a few months ago, it seemed like Ryan was looking for a way out. But Eva got him back! How does she do it? An insane body, for sure. But she?s also plying him with unlimited Starbucks.
Can you just spend a minute talking about these photos? I realize that it might have been steamy and humid yesterday in LA (was it?) – but it feels like the paparazzo smeared Vaseline on the lens so that Eva could be photographed like an old-fashioned romantic heroine. I wonder if this was a mistake, a minor glitch by the photographer? or whether Eva is setting these candid photo-ops up, and she likes to be photographed a certain way? She definitely wants people to know she?s buying coffee for Ryan – even the photo agency notes that she was picking stuff up for her boyfriend. Is Eva the official coffee-getter of the relationship? Because I never see Ryan at Starbucks. At some point, shouldn?t they invest in a quality coffee maker? Perhaps a French press?
Anyway, they?ve lasted longer than I had predicted, so I?m not going to make any more calls about their future. They?ve been doing this for eight or nine months so far – it will be a year in September/October, I think. What?s next? A breakup? Or a baby? All of the caffeine isn?t good for babies.

This is a fan photo (via Instagram) of Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes at the graduation ceremony of Brock University. I will get to that backstory in just a moment. First, I should point out that those photos we covered on Monday – the ones of Ryan and Eva at LAX together – were the beginning of their wild and crazy Canadian adventure. They?ve been in Canada all week. LaineyGossip had some of the details here – first they went to Montreal, then Toronto, and then to St. Catherines in Ontario, which is where Brock University is located. So why go to this seemingly random graduation? Ryan?s mom graduated!!
Mega star Ryan Gosling proudly watched his mom graduate from Brock University Wednesday. The 31-year-old Canadian actor created quite a stir when he attended the St. Catharines campus with his Hollywood girlfriend Eva Mendes, 38.
Fans lined up outside the auditorium and Twitter blew up with news of sightings. For hours Wednesday afternoon Brock University was trending in the Top 10 on the popular social networking site in Canada.
When approached by The Standard, Gosling said he wasn’t doing interviews.
“This is my mom’s day,” he said.
Gosling, who has starred in more than 30 movies including The Notebook, Drive and The Ides of March, left the ceremony early so he wouldn’t disturb the proceedings. Mendes left shortly after. They met up in a room where the graduates went following the event.
“He requested privacy for himself and his family,” said university spokesman Kevin Cavanagh. “He told me this was his mom’s day and the graduates’ day. He didn’t want to be a diversion.”
Kerri Behling, 21, volunteered to help out at the graduation ceremony after hearing rumours that Gosling was going to be there. She, along with at least a dozen other people, stood on a landing outside the gym, shooting photos of the back of Gosling’s head.
“I’ve never seen a famous person before,” the 21-year-old Brock student said.
Seeing Gosling for her first star sighting made the experience that much better, she said.
“I think he’s the same person as he was in The Notebook,” she laughed. “I’m out here waiting for a proposal.”
Brock students Amy Wilson, 22, Erin Wyhoda, 22, and Nicole Studenny, 23, went to the school’s convocation after hearing that Gosling’s mother was graduating.
“He walked right by us,” Wilson said, noting they all stood there stunned, not even snapping a picture.

That would be me – I?d be one of those people too ?stunned? to even move if I chanced upon one of my favorite male actors. I talk big about throwing myself at the likes of Michael Fassbender, but in reality, I would probably just stand very still, watching him like a hawk, not even daring to breathe. Anyway, it?s nice that Ryan came to his mom?s graduation. I have mixed feelings about Ryan making such a ?thing? about it not being his day. Surely there could have been a happy-medium, like he could have given an interview to a local paper and still established that the day was all about the graduates? Because it?s weird to think that Ryan really expected to NOT get fan-girl?d.
