Plugging away at scenes for their latest film, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes were spotted on set of ?The Place Beyond the Pines? on Friday (August 19).
The ?Blue Valentine? actor and the ?Hitch? hottie both wore grungy gear as they worked away on the New York City set.
Per IMDB, the movie revolves around a motorcycle stunt rider who considers committing a crime in order to provide for his wife and child, an act that puts him on a collision course with a cop-turned-politician.
Aside from Gosling and Mendes, Bradley Cooper, Rose Byrne and Ray Liotta, among others also have roles in the crime/drama.

Finished up with her visit to the Big Apple, Eva Mendes was spotted leaving her hotel in New York City on Wednesday morning (June 29).
Dressed down in a white t-shirt and red sweats, the "Hitch" hottie toted her suitcase in-hand after having spent the previous night at Salvatore Ferragamo's Women's Resort 2012 Collection event at the James B. Duke Mansion.
While there, Miss Mendes told WWD that she'll soon be heading to upstate New York to begin work alongside Ryan Gosling on Derek Cianfrance?s drama ?The Place Beyond the Pines.?
Of opting for the new role, Eva said, ?When you have the opportunity to work with an amazing director and incredible actor, you jump at the chance. When they come calling for you, a girl accepts quickly."

She?s thrilled to have scored a new gig as the face of Angel by Thierry Mugler, and Eva Mendes is expressing her joy through song.
The ?We Own the Night? babe told press that she?ll be showing off her songbird pipes in a new commercial due out this fall.
Eva explained, "It was my idea. They presented me with the song 'Windmills of Your Mind,' and they wanted to modernize it so I said, 'Well, this happens to be one of my favorite songs, I'll sing it.' It fits the commercial so beautifully."
Mendes also mentioned that she was prepared for the project through regular voice lessons. . "I always take random classes that will help kind of keep my instrument in good working condition. So I'll take vocal lessons or some dance classes, so I always think that you have to be prepared for certain opportunities that are going to come your way."

It?s an all too common of an issue in Hollywood, and Eva Mendes is looking to put her stalker problem to an end.
The ?Hitch? babe has obtained a temporary restraining order against a man who believes the two are in a relationship and who claims Eva is ?willing? to die for him.
A 39-year-old man by the name of John C. Luna began harassing the actress in 2008 and has since sent numerous notes and audio recording, including one that announced plans to move to California with her.
After Luna showed up Mendes? Los Angeles, CA home last week, she decided to take action. "As a result of Mr. Luna's conduct directed at me ... including references in a letter that he knows I am willing to die for him, and his showing up at my house on May 31st, 2011, looking for me," Mendes states in the complaint, "I am in constant fear."
The order requires her stalker to stay at least 100 yards away from her, as well as her home, car and anywhere she may work.

Spending some quality time with her pooch, Eva Mendes was spotted walking her dog in Los Angeles Friday (June 3).
The 37-year-old actress looked lovely on her leisurely stroll, sporting big black sunglasses, white top, and red pants.
Eva recently opened up about her road to success, and learning to pass on roles she's not madly obsessed with, telling, "I think that what can make a career is the stuff you say no to. A couple of years ago, I made a decision to only do things I was really in love with, whereas before I just did things that seemed right for my career, a big part, a good move."
Mendes added, "I've been in the industry for 10 years now, so I'm at a nice place where people know me and I don't have to make financially-motivated decisions anymore. It's empowering to be able to choose."

These are photos of last night?s Tribeca Film Festival premiere of Last Night. It?s a romance-drama starring Eva Mendes, Guillaume Canet, Keira Knightley and Sam Worthington, and it actually looks like a pretty decent movie. Unfortunately, nobody but Eva came out to promote the damn thing. I understand the lack of motivation to do promotional duties on a film that you know is a train wreck, but most are saying Last Night is decent-to-good, and that everybody should be proud of their performances. So why is it only Eva Mendes waltzing around the red carpet, drunk and/or stoned off her ass, dressed in what I?m assuming is some kind of homage to a Tennessee Williams character?
In reality, the dress is Gucci. And in theory, Eva should be able to pull it off. She has a lovely skin tone, and historically, red works on her. But there?s something about this orange-red, combined with the matchy-matchy lipstick, combined with her face (which genuinely looks stoned)? it?s all a hot mess.
But why won?t anyone else promote this movie? It looks decent. Here?s the trailer:

Certainly brightening up the room upon entrance, Eva Mendes looked fabulous as she attended the premiere of "Last Night" during the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City on Monday night (April 25).
The Cuban-American actress joined co-star Griffen Dunne, director Massy Tadjedin and festival co-founder Robert De Niro at the BMCC Tribeca PAC venue just prior to the special screening.
As for the movie, "Last Night" is described as a "story follows a married couple, apart for a night while the husband takes a business trip with a colleague to whom he's attracted. While he's resisting temptation, his wife encounters her past love."
Co-starring Keira Knightley and Sam Worthington, the independent film will see limited release in the States beginning May 6th.

You never know what?s going to happen when celebrities get together for awards shows, and Rosario Dawson certainly dropped some jaws at Saturday?s Independent Spirit Awards.
While Eva Mendes and Paul Rudd were onstage, the ?Unstoppable? actress hopped up alongside them and grabbed Rudd?s package!
Of her ?ballsy? action, Dawson told Access Hollywood, "I was sitting there with my fork like, 'If he doesn't stop, I'm going to stab him with my fork.? So I got up there and I stabbed him with my fork, and he didn't stop, so I was like, alright, I'm going to grab his package."
Rosario felt it was her duty as a womens' right activist to defend Mendes - who was felt up by Paul in their scripted routine as presenters.

Adding some glamour to the scene, Eva Mendes was spotted at the 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards today (February 26).
The ?We Own the Night? actress looked fabulous in a multi-colored leggy dress teamed with a pair of seafoam green peep-toe heels.
Eva joined a host of top-name celebrities at the Santa Monica event, including Natalie Portman, Nicole Kidman, and Jennifer Lawrence.
The 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards are being hosted by Joel McHale and airing at 10pm ET on IFC.
