Closing out the weekend on the red carpet, the stars of "Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D" were gathered together for their film's Los Angeles premiere on Sunday (July 31).
Held at Regal Cinemas L.A. Live, leading lady Jessica Alba brought her full-blown baby bump to the festivities as she joined up alongside co-stars Jeremy Piven and Joel McHale, while also getting support from hubby Cash Warren and daughter Honor Marie.
The latest "Spy Kids" installment finds "retired agent Marissa Cortez Wilson (Jessica Alba) getting back into action - as she recruits her two stepchildren to stop a supervillain known as the Timekeeper (Jeremy Piven) from taking over the planet."
Sure to be an entertaining adventure, the Robert Rodriguez directed family action caper is all set to hit theaters beginning August 19, 2011.

A very pregnant Jessica Alba was a guest on The Tonight Show last night. She was promoting Spy Kids 4D, which has this “extra dimension” in that there are scratch and sniff cards for viewers to experience certain smells shown on screen. Joel McHale is in this mess too, which is out August 19. I watched Alba’s interview and she didn’t say much that was interesting. She did reveal that she’s a somewhat strict mom, which we’ve heard from her before.
On Honor’s style
She loves to wear dress up. I had to explain to her that only certain types of girls are allowed to wear plastic heels outdoors, so she’s allowed to only wear her plastic princess heels indoors. I can’t really tell her why yet.
On giving time outs with the lights off
I’m definitely the disciplinarian. We don’t believe in like spankings [or]… hot sauce. My daughter, we give her time outs whenever she’s naughty… Just time out in the bathroom isn’t bad enough. Even though she’s in a lit bathroom that has big windows and it’s a big bathroom it makes it seem that much worse… with the lights off. She freaks out… We have a nice little chair that?s her size. Alba’s segment was right before registered nurse and sex expert Sue Johanson came on. Johanson had been on for a few minutes and had very frankly answered a bunch of questions about sex when Leno asked Alba if she had any questions for her. Alba wanted to know if there was any way to harm the baby during sex. Johanson basically said “no” and that the uterus was pretty solid. She explained “that baby is in there, and that baby ain’t going nowhere.”
“As someone who’s in the later stage of pregnancy, is there any way to harm the baby during intercourse?” Alba asked.
“That baby is in there and that baby ain’t going nowhere until it’s ready,” Johanson assured her. “That uterus wall is just like that,” she said knocking the arm of her chair. She then painted a picture of the cervix smiling from intercourse and things got a little weird.

Alba’s question may sound crass to some, but it was nothing compared to what Johanson was saying. She had been talking about penises, orgasms and masturbation for a while and she went on about it. I’m not familiar with Johanson and she was cracking me the hell up. There’s just something so funny about an older lady talking about sex. She answered a question about whether men can fake orgasms. “Yes, but they can’t fake ejaculation. It has a very, shall we say distinctive odor.” A 68 year-old widower wrote in to ask if he’d ever have sex again and she said “Boy I hope so, here I am honey.” Johanson is 80!
When I was that far along pregnant I wasn’t interested in sex. I could barely get comfortable in bed and had to use one of those full body pillows to sleep with. Jessica looks big and she said the baby was due “soon,” but didn’t give a time frame. She wouldn’t say whether she was having a boy or a girl, which she seemed to know but not be willing to reveal publicly. (Hollybaby is reporting that she confirmed it’s a girl, but if you watch the clip that’s not the case at all.) I’m not going to fault her for asking about pregnant sex. Given the context it seemed like a totally legitimate question. I will say that my opinion of her wasn’t changed much after seeing this interview. Pregnant or not she’s not the most likable person.

Continuing her ?Spy Kids: All the Time in the World? promotions, Jessica Alba was spotted at ?Jimmy Kimmel Live? last night (July 26).
The ?Fantastic Four? hottie looked uber-preggers as she made her exit from the Hollywood studio and greeted fans for a bit.
Over the weekend, Jessica was honored with a ?French Country? flavored baby shower to celebrate her soon-to-be-born.
And while Ms. Alba requested donations to the Baby2Baby organization in lieu of gifts, she gave guests Coach purses filled with gift cards, jewelry, a scarf, and coconut water.

Gearing up for the arrival of her second child, Jessica Alba was spotted at a baby shower in West Hollywood yesterday (July 24).
The ?Good Luck Chuck? actress showed off her ever-growing baby bump in a sheer polka dot shirt dress teamed with black leggings.
Having received a car-full of luxurious gifts, Jessica took to her Twitter page to show her gratitude to family and friends.
Alba tweeted, ?A million THANK U's 2 @KellySawyer @jacqui_lang n @lauren_andersen 4 such an amazing baby shower. It was perfect in every way. Luv u.?

Just a few months away from welcoming another member to their family, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren were spotted enjoying a weekend ending shopping trip in West Hollywood, CA on Sunday (July 17).
The expecting actress held her growing girl's hand as her hubby pushed a cartful of household needs to the car upon finishing up their grocery stop at the local Bristol Farms.
Meanwhile, Miss Alba took to Twitter to voice her pleasure over the lack of traffic during the overly-hyped 405 Freeway closure dubbed as "Carmageddon".
Of the calm roadways, Jess tweeted, "Not gonna lie -loving LA during this #Carmageddon scare -there is zero traffic. It's like LA at xmas peace n quiet EVERYWHERE!"

I’m usually not a fan of tree branches in girls’ hair, but Jessica Alba looks like some kind of ethereal wood nymph from Greek mythology in next month’s Allure magazine. Rowr. I just want to put on a pair of goat horns and chase her around the woods with a pan flute.

Jessica Alba is the August cover girl for Allure Magazine. This is Alba?s second August cover, after her piece in Latina Magazine. You might ask, ?Does Jessica Alba have something to promote?? The answer is no. She?s just doing these magazine shoots to talk about herself, apropos of nothing, no film, no new project. Guess what she talks about in this Allure interview? No, not how it?s so hard to be racially ambiguous! Alba has returned to her favorite subject, her weight and how it was so hard for her to not go back to her pre-baby body. Don?t get me wrong, I understand that losing the baby weight is a big deal, and I feel for every lady who struggles with that weight loss. But it?s one of Alba?s favorite subjects, and prepare yourselves - she?s going to be talking about the weight she put on during her second pregnancy for the next five years.
Losing the baby weight: “I can’t ever get down to the weight I was before I had Honor. My body’s just different. The jeans just sort of zip up differently, and things hang differently. It’s a miracle what happens, but you definitely are different afterward. Unless you’re Gisele.”
Embracing her own sexuality: “I was quite shy with it. It wasn’t something I embraced until I had my daughter. I saw how incredible and amazing it is to be a woman and to be able to create a life. There’s a reason why certain areas of the body are desirable ? because it all leads to reproduction. There’s a science behind it all. It’s not just to sell whatever you’re selling on a billboard or a magazine or a movie.”
Alba on how everyone is talking about her: “My publicist said the other day, ‘You can’t just be going to the grocery store ? you have to be ‘flaunting your baby bump,’ ” she says. “You’re pregnant. Your stomach is not going to be flat. You’re not ‘flaunting’ it; you’re just walking to the store or across a parking lot.”
Nudity in films: “At least I’m still covered. I’m wearing as much as a bathing suit. It’s not like I’m naked. I’m not terribly comfortable with being in a bikini, but covering up my genitals is different than not covering up my genitals, at the end of the day. I do see a difference in that, to put it really frankly.”
Alba’s fans are odd: Alba was recently horrified by a tabloid story in which a young woman had sought to recapture the attention of an ex-boyfriend by being surgically altered to look more like the actress. “That’s just so bizarre, because the physical is so fleeting anyway,” she says. “And when you’re in a relationship, the physical lasts for, maximum, two years. And then you don’t care how attractive you are to that person?if they drive you nuts, they drive you nuts.”
Alba, on approaching her thirtieth birthday: “According to some people, I peaked in my early 20s,” she says with a chuckle. “I was like, ‘Oh, really? I feel like I’m getting better.’”

The part that cracked me up was ?My publicist said the other day, ‘You can’t just be going to the grocery store ? you have to be ‘flaunting your baby bump.? You’re pregnant. Your stomach is not going to be flat. You’re not ‘flaunting’ it; you’re just walking to the store or across a parking lot.” Alba is trying to make a point about the language we use, and sure, I?m guilty of using ?flaunt? and that kind of stuff too (write for a website for three years and try not to ever write “flaunting her bump.”) BUT - what are all of these imaginary media outlets who are writing about her? Alba paps herself nearly every day, like she?s trying to grow a fanbase of mothers like Jennifer Garner. Except that Garner and her girls DO make it to the celebrity sites and tabloids, because there is a lot of interest in that family. Not so for the Alba-Warren family. Alba keeps papping herself, and no one is really interested. She?s FLAUNTING the idea that people are interested in how she flaunts her bump. Who?s buying?

Treating herself to a round of retail therapy, Jessica Alba was seen hitting up the Jenni Kayne store in Los Angeles yesterday (July 10).
Joined by her adorable daughter Honor Marie, the preggers ?Machete? mommy showed off her growing baby bump in a fun and flirty orange and white printed dress.
And it sounds like Jessica also had a productive trip to the local flea market yesterday. She tweeted, ?Headed 2 do some flea market furniture shopping for nursery. Do any of u like antique furniture shopping? Got before n after pics??
Later she shared, ?I bargained my preggs booty off at Rose Bowl flea market & got awesome stuff! @hal2r ud be proud :D.?

Jessica Alba showed off her baby bump yesterday proving just how terrible these parasitic embryos are. Why any woman would want to carry one inside them is beyond me. They get fatter, they crave food, sex is harder and they get generally unattractive. Pregnancies are nature’s cruel joke on pretty people.
