An Ohio police chief was found guilty on Monday on three of six charges after being accused of stealing from the surrogate mom who carried Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s twin daughters.
Martin’s Ferry Police Chief Barry Carpenter, 40, and another police chief met with photographers back in May and gave them items such as a poem, photos, legal documents about the surrogacy agreement, and ultra sound pictures. A photographer told the surrogacy agency immediately.
After a long 12 hours of deliberation, a jury found Carpenter guilty for receiving stolen property, theft in office and tampering with evidence. He was found not guilty on two accounts of burglary and one count of unauthorized use of property or services.
Carpenter kept quiet during proceedings and laid his head down in his hands after the convictions were told. He now faces up 10 years in prison and his sentencing will be on December 10. Until then, he has to wear a home confinement device at this mother’s house and will be tracked with a GPS device.
Meanwhile, his alleged accomplice, Bridgeport Police Chief Chad M. Dojack, 29, will stand trial in January.

Well, look who’s on the cover of next month’s Elle magazine! It’s Carrie Bradshaw, patron saint of wannabe fashionistas everywhere. I guess being perceived as a clotheshorse has really paid off for Sarah Jessica Parker. God knows it has to be better than just being perceived as a regular horse like before. Zing!

Ever since Sex and the City became a cultural phenomenon (back around season 2, or roughly nine years ago), it?s been an open secret that Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker don?t really care for each other. Despite some people wanting it to be some kind of petty catfight, I tend to think they simply aren?t all that friendly, but are able to maintain a professional, working relationship. The relationship has had its challenges of course - when SJP became a producer on the show, some said Kim resented the control SJP had. Some also claimed that Kim held out for the biggest paychecks for the SATC films. None of that may be true, or parts of it, or all of it. Still, the rumors persist, and Kim and SJP have had to address them.
Recently, in her Elle Magazine cover story, SJP defended her relationship with Kim once again, saying, ?I don’t think anybody wants to believe that I love Kim. I adore her. I wouldn’t have done the movie without her. Didn’t and wouldn’t.? But sources are now telling In Touch Weekly that there?s still some snottiness going around - this time about how the two actresses are aging:
Although reports of feuding between Kim Cattrall, 53, and Sarah Jessica Parker, 44, were often denied, there was no mistaking in the first SATC movie that Kim?s character, Samantha, was imposed with a real attack on aging: Samantha celebrated her 50th birthday - she grew fat and even split with her hunky younger love interest.
The movie?s sequel looks no different: In one scene, an embarrassed Samantha shows up wearing the same outfit as teen queen Miley Cyrus.
Setsiders say the candid photos from the set prove there is a real age war erupting: SJP looks much older than her younger character, Carrie, and older than Samantha, so this attempt of not letting Samantha shine is proving the rumors have life.
Ironically, Kim has no desire to look like the younger Sarah Jessica. Samantha?s been known for her body, not her face, and she?s not afraid to show it!

Part of the reason I?ve always loved Kim (but not always her character Samantha) is because Kim seems like the most gifted physical comedienne of the group. The scripts for the television show and the films always have Kim doing a lot of physical comedy work (much more than the other actresses), and she always nails it brilliantly. If the physical comedy weren?t also so sexual, I think Kim would get a lot more credit as comedic actress. My point: I don?t think Kim minds the physical comedy aspect of the Samantha role, nor would she mind playing off the running gags that Samantha is, in fact, much older than the other girls. It?s how the character has always been written, and it?s one of Kim?s many strengthes as an actress. As for the whole ?SJP looks older? thing - well? I hate to say it, but Kim just seems to be aging with more grace than SJP. Maybe it?s good genes, maybe she takes care of herself, whatever.

Sarah Jessica Parker loves the smell of dirty diapers.
No, for realsies. It says so in Us Weekly, and if you can’t trust Us Weekly, then… well actually, you totally can’t trust Us Weekly at all. But Parker did say this:
“I love the smell of diapers,” she tells the December issue of Elle magazine.
Parker has been on double diaper duty after the arrival of her twin daughters Marion Loretta and Tabitha Hodge — who were delivered by a surrogate earlier this year — and she doesn’t mind at all.
“I even like when they?re wet and you smell them all warm like a baked good,” the Sex and the City star, 44, says, adding that she even says she loves “the smell of Balmex,” a diaper rash cream.
Gross. Like a baked good? The hell kinda pastries does this woman eat? Listen, the least disgusting thing that children ever smell of is drool, so this is basically like someone saying their favourite perfume is Eau de Merde. Which… different strokes, I guess, but dayum.

Here is Sarah Jessica Parker, cover girl for the December issue of Elle Magazine. I don?t hate any part of the styling, honestly. It?s a cute dress, I like her hair that color, makeup is nice, and she doesn?t look that retouched. Here?s the thing, and I?m being totally serious? was Sarah Jessica Parker?s nose always this big? It?s gotten huge. And I?m saying that as someone who admired SJP?s unwillingness to ?correct? her bumpy nose. I have a thing for unusual noses, and hers was a classic. But this might need to be ?corrected?. Maybe it?s just a weird shadow. Or maybe it?s a deviated septum or something. Yikes.
In the interview, SJP talks about her new twin girls, and how much she loves the smell of diapers. Not fresh, powdery diapers, either. She likes the wet ones, ?all warm like a baked good.? I seriously heaved a little with that quote. SJP also kind of throws her 7-year-old son under the proverbial bus, claiming that it was James Wilkie?s idea to give one of the baby girls an illustrious cat name. James Wilkie?s idea was ?Marion? - so who came up with Tabitha?
Sarah Jessica Parker may have a number of best-selling fragrances, but the ?Sex and The City? star said in the December issue of ELLE that it?s a less flowery smell that she loves.
?I love the smell of diapers; I even like when they?re wet and you smell them all warm like a baked good,? she said.
SJP is on double diaper duty these days thanks to the arrival of twin daughters Loretta and Tabitha, who were delivered by a surrogate earlier this year ? but the star said that son James Wilkie got involved with the process, too.
?He told me he really wanted Marion to be in the mix,? Sarah said of baby names for Loretta ? who is indeed Marion on her birth certificate. ?We thought, ?Are we crazy? Do we let our son name one of the girls? Is that the right thing to do? Is it important for him?? And then he goes, and I want it legal.?
While the world loves her as Carrie Bradshaw, Sarah said she hopes her daughters feel the same way once they grow up.
?First of all, I have a fear that they?re not going to like me,? she said.
She can always bribe them with her considerable wardrobe, however.
?The only tragedy would be if their feet are bigger than mine,? she said.
In the meantime, she?s filming the much-anticipated ?Sex? sequel and awaiting the release of December 11-due romantic comedy, ?Did You Hear About The Morgans?? ? in which she meets her character?s neurotic match in co-star Hugh Grant.
?We looked like two people who had been dug up,? Grant said of their time on the set, admitting that even he couldn?t resist her charms. ?Both green in the face. It was so cozy to have someone in an equal level of hell. I?m so proud of myself for liking her because I hate everybody.?

?The only tragedy would be if their feet are bigger than mine? - really? I hope she was being silly. Probably. But I?m silently rooting for the Cat Twins to have enormous Paris Hilton feet. Just so SJP could experience her greatest tragedy.
SJP is in Elle because she?s promoting her horrible-looking comedy Did You Hear About the Morgans? It is about a New York couple who witness a murder, and ?are relocated to small-town Wyoming as part of a witness-protection program.? I just watched the trailer again? and it doesn?t look ghastly. I?m sure it sucks, of course. But Hugh Grant actually looks cute in it!

Taking filming duties overseas, Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted out in Morocco while working on “Sex and the City 2” on Friday (October 30).
Joined on the set by co-star Cynthia Nixon, the Carrie Bradshaw cutie sported a Dior t-shirt saying “I Adore Dior” while prepping before walking through the streets as cameras followed along.
Meanwhile, SJP got a big compliment from Disney darling, Miley Cyrus, who makes a cameo in the upcoming movie.
She told Extra: “I think that Sarah Jessica Parker is so cute…the first thing she did was hold someone’s coffee so that they could take a picture with me.”

Getting ready for a trip out of town, Sarah Jessica Parker and son, James Wilkie, were spotted leaving their Greenwich Village townhouse on Monday afternoon (October 19).
The Carrie Bradshaw cutie and her little boy are reportedly on their way to Morocco, where she will continue filming the “Sex & The City” sequel.
Accompanied by a nanny to help her out with James, insiders tell that SJP will be out of town for SATC duties until December.
Also starring Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall, along with guest spots by Miley Cyrus and Penelope Cruz, the “Sex and the City” sequel is due out in theaters in May 2010.

She’s been hard at work on the “Sex and the City 2” flick, and it sounds like Sarah Jessica Parker will have a new fragrance to wear to the premiere.
The “Failure to Launch” babe will be adding to her Lovely and Covet perfumes with SJP NYC, described as a fruity floral scent that is a “party in a bottle” influenced by the Carrie Bradshaw character.
Ms. Parker told press, “A large part of the inspiration was what I now understand to be people’s impressions of seeing Carrie Bradshaw walk down the street and what feelings that evokes for her and for them — a real sense of freedom and possibilities, a love for the city around her and, of course, fashion.”
SJP NYC will be hitting stores this coming February and will feature an eau de toilette and a body lotion. Pricing will be between $25 and $49.

Kicking off another wild work week, Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted on the set of “Sex and the City 2” earlier today (October 12).
The “Failure to Launch” babe looked a bit chilly as she braved the cool New York City weather along with costar Kim Cattrall, waving to fans and paparazzi everywhere she went.
As for the reports that her marriage to Matthew Broderick is still on the outs, SJP told press nothing could be farther from the truth.
“I’m very happy. We’re the everyman. We’re just doing the best we can. Come back and check with me in 25 years and see who I’m married to. It will still be him.”

Doing her best impression of a punk chick, Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted on the set of “Sex and the City 2” in Brooklyn, New York yesterday (October 5).
The “Failure to Launch” actress looked to be in good spirits as she strolled past the paparazzi, sporting a pair of studded, swirly blue jeans with a beige top and UGG boots.
Now that she has twin girls at home, SJP is reportedly beginning to feel the Sting of fatigue from her SATC shooting schedule.
A source told press, “The filming is actually a lot more intense than Sarah expected. When she first brought the twins home, she was so overjoyed that she’d sacrifice her sleep. She’d work a 14-hour day, then come home and care for the girls, but her body just gave out and she can’t function like that anymore.”
