Taking care of her parental responsibilities, Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted taking her son James to school this morning (December 16).
The “Failure to Launch” actress looked well-bundled-up as she strolled past shutterbugs in the West Village, sporting a sweater/vest/scarf combo.
During her recent interview on “The Late Show with David Letterman” SJP shared a new picture of her twins Marion and Tabitha and explained how different they are.
“They are physically, intellectually spiritually, geographically, politically, ideologically and religiously as different as two small 6-month olds could be.”

Last night, Sarah Jessica Parker went on The Late Show with David Letterman to promote Did You Hear About the Morgans? Sidenote: every time I type that movie title, I want to shoot someone. It?s seriously one of the worst titles of the year. Anyway, SJP and Letterman covered a lot of different bases, and it makes me a little sad that I went to bed at ten p.m. rather than staying up to see this. First up: SJP talked about The Case of the Missing Mole. Her mole, you see, disappeared from this plane of existence at some point in 2008. SJP took the opportunity to admit that, yes, she got that sucked sliced off because she never had ?strong feelings? one way or the other about the mole. Here?s the video and HuffPo?s coverage:
What happened to Sarah Jessica Parker’s famous mole? Photos show it disappeared from her chin sometime during the summer of 2008 after she filmed the first ‘Sex and the City’ movie.
Parker told David Letterman Tuesday night that she had it removed by her plastic surgeon brother-in-law. It was no biggie, she said.
“I didn’t have strong feelings,” she said. “I didn’t object to it. I just didn’t care for it. And I had about six free days when I could be bloody and stabbed and no one will care and honestly I didn’t think a thing about it and then apparently it turned into mole-gate.”
Soon after the procedure, Parker said, a woman approached her on the beach, upset that she had gotten rid of her “signature.”
“I was like, ‘My mole was my signature? Isn’t my brain my signature?’” Parker said. “For about the next 15 minutes I couldn’t hear anything because I thought I’d make a terrible mistake. Can they put it back on?”
[From Huffington Post]
SJP also talked about her six-month old baby girls Marion and Tabitha, and how they are not ?identical? in any way, with SJP saying ?They are physically, intellectually spiritually, geographically, politically, ideologically and religiously as different as two small 6-month olds could be.? Ah? cute? Maybe I don?t get it, not being a mother. Anyway, SJP also released a truly adorable new photo of the twins on Letterman (below):
Oh, babies: Sarah Jessica Parker says her 6-month-old twin girls “are about as un-identical as twins can be.”
On Tuesday’s Late Show With David Letterman, she showed off a new photo of Marion and Tabitha, who were born in June with the help of a surrogate mother.
“They are physically, intellectually spiritually, geographically, politically, ideologically and religiously as different as two small 6-month olds could be,” Parker, 44, said. She added that her 7-year-old son James Wilkie is taking well to his role as big brother. “He’s been very hospitable and he’s amused by them occasionally,” said Parker, who is wed to actor Matthew Broderick.
Parker couldn’t help but gush about her twins Monday at the NYC premiere of her new comedy, Have You Heard About the Morgans?
Asked to name the best thing about having twins, she told Usmagazine.com, “That?s an impossible question to answer. You cannot put it into a little sound bite into a tiny tape recorder. It’s amazing. It’s the most perfectly overwhelming experience.”
Soon after the twins were born, Parker began filming Sex and the City 2.
“It?s a strain,” she told Us of balancing work and motherhood. “But I’m not going to complain. We do the best we can like every other family. You juggle, you organize, you fail, you have triumphs. Most working mothers work much harder than I do and have far less help.”
Despite the occasional obstacles, she said she wouldn’t change a thing. Motherhood “is a total blessing,” she told Us, “and we’re thrilled.”

I?ve noticed something strange about SJP?s publicity tour for Morgans - she hasn?t mentioned Matthew Broderick once. Of course, they?ve never been stuck to the idea of attending every red carpet event together and gushing about each other, so it?s totally possible there?s nothing there. The other possibility is that they?re having real problems, and they don?t spend any time together, et cetera. I know my theories about it, but I also acknowledge it could be nothing.

Hot on the promotional trail, Sarah Jessica Parker paid an evening visit to the “Late Show with David Letterman” at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City on Tuesday (December 15).
The “Sex and the City” star happily stopped to pose for a few pictures upon finishing her taping session to boost interest in her new movie, “Did You Hear About the Morgans?”.
As for life as the mother of surrogate twins, SJP told press at her film’s premiere the previous night, “That’s an impossible question to answer. You cannot put it into a little sound bite into a tiny tape recorder. It’s the most perfectly overwhelming experience. It’s a total blessing and we’re thrilled.”
Continuing to dish on her family’s holiday traditions, the 44-year-old reveals, “When I grew up, we had a ‘naked tree’ on Christmas, meaning it was unadorned. On Christmas Eve, those of us who still believed in Santa Claus—and some of us who still do—would go to bed and when we woke up in the morning the tree was decorated. We were told Santa wrapped our presents and decorated our tree in his spare time and we believed it.”

Stepping out for a promotional appearance, Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted at the New York City premiere of her new film “Did You Hear About the Morgans?” last night (December 14).
The “Failure to Launch” actress looked lovely as she arrived at the Ziegfeld Theatre sporting a busty black dress and mingling with costar Hugh Grant and “Sex and the City” colleagues Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall.
Speaking of “SATC,” SJP told press that she was shocked at how tall Miley Cyrus was when she came to the movie set to film her cameo for the upcoming sequel.
“I was astounded by her height. Did you know that she’s tall? She’s like a Viking. I had no idea! [Miley’s] a beautiful young lady and very self-possesed. I literally was not in the scene with her. I was in the scene, but we were not [onscreen] together. But she was lovely and on time and prompt and professional, very sweet.”

Tending to her motherly duties, Sarah Jessica Parker escorted son, James, to school earlier today (December 14).
Bundled for the chilly New York City weather, the “Flight of the Navigator” actress didn’t seem all that thrilled when the paparazzi showed up.
In the January issue of Glamour magazine, the 44-year-old mother admits that balancing her family, her career and husband, Matthew Broderick, has been a challenge.
Parker says, “It is the eternal conflict of every working woman, and I am not complaining, because I’ve done this to myself. And I have a wonderful, wonderful nanny who allows me to be a working person. The great challenge for me is to be all things to all people; I want to be a great mother, and I want to feel good when I’m at work. But it is hard.”

This is the just-released poster for Sex and the City 2, which will be out next year. Michael K at D Listed was all over this earlier today, saying that ?the Photoshop wizards got a little “carried away” and turned her into some kind of pre-op zombie Matthew McConaughey who is a proud graduate of Kanye West’s School of Ridiculous Eyewear.? Granted, this sh-t is Photoshopped. And yes, it?s ugly. But if it was really Photoshopped into oblivion, wouldn?t they have done something better with her neck and knees? I feel like the Photoshop people just decided to put all of Sarah Jessica Parker?s ?problem areas? in shadow, as if the eye could be confused so easily. It can?t. Oh, and here?s a wild question? where the f-ck are Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristen Davis? If the film is just about Carrie and her crap, no one will give a sh-t.
In other SJP news, when she was in London for the Did You Hear About The Morgans? premiere, the Telegraph asked her about her workouts. Her answer was cryptic:
When asked at the premiere of Did You Hear About The Morgans? in Leicester Square, a film about a couple who join the witness protection programme, she answers: “By running around, stressed, no sleep. I guess I try to be disciplined.”
No doubt she and Matthew Broderick, her husband, are kept busy by their twin daughters, Marion and Tabitha, who were born using a surrogate in June this year, along with their son James, seven.
Her co-star Hugh Grant is also impressed by her energy. “I’ll never be like her,” he laments.
[From The Telegraph]
Eh. I think SJP is just one of those women who is naturally skinny. Maybe it has to do with stress or running around or her metabolism, but I don?t think she?s the kind of woman who compulsively diets or works out. Just my take.
Just one more thing? SJP has a not-so-secret admirer. His name is Hugh Grant, and he is enamored with his Morgans costar. He told the British papers that he wished he could marry SJP because: ?She would be a very good wife. She?s very caring. She lives in her own little world and I have literally fallen in love with her.? Aw? that?s sweet. Never in a million years would I have put the two of them together in a film or in life, but apparently they adored each other, and it seems very genuine.

These are photos from the Did You Heard About the Morgans? premiere in London last last night. What can I say? Hugh Grant is no longer a ?sad and lonely old man?. He?s got a girlfriend named Sarah Jessica Parker. That?s what you would think, looking through these photos. In case anyone accuses me of just picking out the ones where SJP is draped on Hugh like white on rice, let just tell you: they are all like this. SJP was clinging to Hugh. To his credit, professionalism and good humor, Hugh seemed game, although slightly taken aback with SJP?s vampy, trying-too-hard poses.
As for the fashion - well, SJP looks alright. I?ve found her sketchy on the past few red carpets that I can recall (like this past Oscar red carpet), but I get her look at this premiere. The hair is not bad, the L?Wren Scott dress works for her figure, but there are several pictures of her adjusting herself, so I think the fit was probably off. I don?t really care for the patterned fabric of the dress, but that?s just me. I?m sure some people will find it gorgeous. To me, it looks like curtain fabric. But great shoes, et cetera. And Hugh looks nice too! Black suit, no tie, hair messy, classic Hugh. Not dapper, but not plain either.
The biggest news was probably that Hugh?s ex Liz Hurley showed up - and she brought her husband Arun Nayar. I don?t really get them as a couple, but Arun looks happy to be attending a premiere on the arm of the ex-girlfriend of one of the film?s stars. Here?s more:
Hugh Grant’s glamorous former girlfriend Liz Hurley was on hand to support his latest film. The pair - who dated for 13 years and split in 2000 - met the crowds at the premiere of Did You Hear About The Morgans? in London’s Leicester Square.
And Hurley, 44, who attended with husband Arun Nayar, may have even upstaged fashionista Sarah Jessica Parker - who also stars in the film - in the dress stakes with a figure-hugging Pink and red number.
But Parker also turned heads in a strapless Pink mini dress designed by L’Wren Scott, paired with towering Charlotte Olympia heels, as she walked the red carpet with co-star Hugh Grant.
Hundreds of fans, many brandishing Sex And The City memorabilia, gathered to see the stars and collect autographs.
In the film, Grant and Parker play a successful Manhattan couple whose marriage is dissolving. After they witness a murder, police force them to move together to a tiny Wyoming town for their protection.
Parker said it was “easy” to work with Grant, adding: “I adore him. He makes me laugh. I am not unique. A romantic comedy working with Hugh Grant - what fool would say no?”
Grant said the actress was “exceptionally nice”.
He added: “She’s not at all actressy or Hollywood or starry, she’s just a good egg and funny.”
[From The Press Association]
Ha! I just read The Daily Mail?s coverage of the premiere, in a piece called ?Now Sarah Jessica Parker encounters Hugh Grant’s wandering hands?. Er? Hugh didn?t know where to put his hands! She was all over him! He had to put his hands somewhere, or else he would look totally over her. Anyway, SJP also said in a red carpet interview that Hugh was ?easy? to work with and ?I adore him. He makes me laugh. I am not unique.” Well? at least they get along. And we have the photos to prove it.

As everyone anticipates the new “Sex and the City” sequel, Sarah Jessica Parker may not be as thrilled.
The star of the movie wishes that she had thought more into the sequel before going into filming after the arrival of her 4 month-year-old twin daughters, Marion and Tabitha.
While chatting during an interview with Glamour, she explained, “It’s been amazing but complicated because of my current work schedule, which I have enormous regrets about. One would prefer to be held 24 hours a day, and the other is already suffering from type A issues.”
But even with the complications, the 44 year-old isn’t trying to complain and understands the working life while being a mommy, even admitting that she didn’t know it would be this hard of work. “Nothing can really describe what it’s like to have two new little girls,” she says. “It’s been very different than when James arrived, since our family expanded in an untraditional way. We didn’t plan on having two, but were doubly blessed, and it’s been just wonderful.”
As far as the new upcoming movie, Parker says the story brings humor and is “breaking the rules of romantic comedy.”

Oh, Sarah Jessica. This is not a great cover shot. But it?s a million times better than her epically terrible December Elle cover, in which most people were too distracted by what appeared to be SJP?s enormous honker. They didn?t even notice she talked about dirty diapers, comparing them to smelling a fresh loaf of bread. So? I won?t complain about the cover shot, but I will bitch about the entire theme of the photo shoot: SJP, carrying shopping bags and such, in front of hand-drawn images of New York. Um? we get it. You?re Carrie Bradshaw. Now try something different.
Glamour?s got the full interview up online (here), but I?ll just do the highlights. Let?s see? SJP is promoting Did You Hear About the Morgans? It?s a rom-com costarring Hugh Grant. Something nice: they both seem to really like each other, and they?ve worked together before, on Extreme Measures. Something bad: the film looks horrible. What else? Oh, SJP describes the first Sex and the City movie as ?brave?. I have another word for it - ?terrible?. SJP also talks about her ?regrets?. Like the fact that she?s been pulling 18 hour days on SATC just a few months after her twin daughters were born.
GLAMOUR: So let?s get to your next film project: Sex and the City 2. How has Carrie evolved?
SJP: The first movie had a lot of sadness in it, and it was very brave about breaking the rules of romantic comedy. This one is very much the antidote for that: It?s a romp. It?s about the idea of women?s and men?s roles in marriage, and old traditions versus new ones. The story is really fun, but it?s also about something.
GLAMOUR: I think movies present a romanticized ideal of love. But you don?t get to see what happens after the film ends. What does love look like once you?ve been in a long-term relationship?
SJP: I think when you are younger, you get swept away by grand gestures?. When you have children and years invested, it?s much more complicated. It?s the day-to-day stuff: the kind of parent you are, the kind of partner you are. It?s the little and big things as opposed to just the big things. But you are not meant to know that when you are younger, so I don?t think anybody should regret the choices they made in their twenties.
GLAMOUR: And now you?re a new mother again. Congratulations, and what?s it like?
SJP: Nothing can really describe what it?s like to have two new little girls. It?s been very different than when James arrived, since our family expanded in an untraditional way. We didn?t plan on having two, but were doubly blessed, and it?s been just wonderful. [Tabitha and Marion] just turned four months old today! One would prefer to be held 24 hours a day, and the other is already suffering from type A issues. It?s been amazing but complicated because of my current work schedule, which I have enormous regrets about.
GLAMOUR: How do you juggle it all?
SJP: It is the eternal conflict of every working woman, and I am not complaining, because I?ve done this to myself. And I have a wonderful, wonderful nanny who allows me to be a working person. The great challenge for me is to be all things to all people; I want to be a great mother, and I want to feel good when I?m at work. But it is hard.
GLAMOUR: So how would you characterize your own style?
SJP: I really love beautiful, well-made clothes. I don?t shop [a lot], so I tend to have pieces for a long time. I like mixing vintage with newer designers.
GLAMOUR: Flash back to 1984, when you were in Footloose. What were you wearing then?
SJP: In the eighties, I was wearing a lot of work boots and oversize men?s dinner jackets and floppy hats with flowers. I was making every mistake that was appropriate for the time. Eighty percent of pictures from that period deserve a cringe, but I don?t because I enjoyed it!
GLAMOUR: How would you say your style has evolved over the years?
SJP: It?s just simpler; I don?t buy anything trendy. I used to be more easily seduced by some momentary idea of what was fashionable. Now I?m slightly savvier. I still have the same ideas in my head about what looks good on me and what doesn?t. I still will not wear turtlenecks.
GLAMOUR: Why not?
SJP: I feel like I?m having a panic attack in them. I?m so short that the little bit of height I have is taken and consumed by the turtleneck. My son won?t wear them, either!
GLAMOUR: What?s your favorite store to find a bargain?
SJP: I still believe in thrift stores: It?s the one place you can be assured of finding something very unique.
GLAMOUR: Once upon a time, thrift stores were all you could afford?you grew up very modestly.
SJP: I feel lucky because [my background gave me] an appreciation for sitting here and having this tea and drinking out of this cup. I am not blind to it. I don?t want my children to feel they have a sense of entitlement. I want them to work hard and be challenged. That?s hard to do when you have everything you need and want, so I am working on those values all the time.
GLAMOUR: Where do you see your life in 10 years?
SJP: Being so greedy, I would like more of the same. Most important to me is my home life and the well-being of my children. Everything as it is now would be thrilling.
[From Glamour]
Well, she gives a good interview. I liked the part about her trying to impart the working class values she grew up with onto her own kids. Call me crazy, but I don?t see SJP and Matthew Broderick?s kids being spoiled little brats, so in that area, they seem to be doing a good job. I also liked the part about her turtleneck-phobia. I?m like that now, too. I used to love turtlenecks, but then I began to realize that they don?t compliment my frame whatsoever, and that I hated feeling strangled all the time. But I think SJP would look cute in a turtleneck! She should try it. She might be surprised.
