Cameron Diaz is reportedly taking a break from acting, according to sources who spoke to Us Weekly. Officially, she’s working on a sequel to The Body Book which is a good plan. She makes plenty of money from acting, but it can’t be too satisfying to keep churning out romcoms. Cami’s also settling into married life with Benji Madden. We’ve heard about how they’re pro-active in marriage counseling to make it for the long haul. The tabs tried to plant pregnancy stories from the moment Cameron got married. Now Us says Cameron really does want a baby. She’s taking a “sabbatical” to try for pregnancy. Hmm:
Cameron Diaz?s new role isn?t in front of a camera! A source tells Us Weekly the actress is taking a year off from making movies to “be a wife and try to have a baby” with husband of five months, Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden.
“All she wants is to stay home and enjoy this special time in her life. She has told her team she won?t answer the phone for any amount of money — even though she has received offers for various things. She is adamant that she is not available for anything.”
The pair?s $10 million Beverly Hills mansion, where they held their 100-guest traditional Jewish wedding ceremony in January, provides the perfect retreat. Diaz, who?s “all about healthy living,” meditates every day and is one of those “really spiritual” people who values her quiet time alongside 36-year-old Madden, a second insider says.
“She loves watching TV and movies at home with Benji, and she?s working on new recipes for a follow-up to The Body Book,” the insider continues. “Her priorities have 100 percent shifted. She wanted to settle down and she has.”
And when Madden’s away, his wife is always on his mind. “He’s incredibly faithful,” the source adds. “He messages her all the time and tells her how much he loves her. She does not doubt him for one moment.”

This story makes me side-eye a bit. Not because Cameron may have reversed her previous stance on having kids. That's fine and up to her, but no one has to "drop everything" to try and get pregnant. The media slant on women giving up their entire lives to hope for a baby is tiresome. I'd prefer to hear that Cameron simply wanted to take a break. She's been working nonstop for decades and could use some legit time off. Us hints at these things, but they still led their story with the "giving it all up for baby" angle. So predictable.

Sarah Palin has been especially crazy in the past year. Her word salads have gotten more epic, she lost her mind when people criticized her for NOT telling her children to stand on dogs, her family got into an insane, bloody and tacky brawl in Alaska and even Palin?s most vociferous defenders were jumping ship after Palin spoke like a malfunctioning fem-bot at CPAC earlier this year. So is it any wonder why Fox News has canned Sarah Palin for the second time?
Fox News has not renewed its contract with Sarah Palin, a spokesperson for the network confirmed to E! News Wednesday. Politico, which first reported the news, added that Palin and Fox News amicably parted ways June 1. Palin, who unsuccessfully ran for Vice President on John McCain’s ticket in 2008, has yet to comment. The former governor of Alaska, 51, is expected to make occasional guest appearances on Fox and Fox Business, and will appear on other networks and cables. She also has a show on the Sportsman Channel.
Fox News first hired Palin as a commentator in 2010. Per CNN Money, her contract was reportedly worth $1 million a year, making her the highest-paid political pundit at the highest-rated channel in cable news. Her tenure ended after three years, but months later, Palin returned to Fox News as a paid contributor.
Don’t feel too sorry for Palin, who boasts 4.4 million Facebook friends and 1.15 million Twitter followers. To her followers’ surprise, she gave her Facebook page a makeover at midnight. It now features a cover photo and a quote from Palin’s announcement speech in Dayton, Ohio: “I didn’t get into government to do the safe and easy things. A ship in harbor is safe but that’s not why the ship is built.” And though she is not running for political office herself, Palin will remain heavily involved in GOP congressional and gubernatorial primaries for 2016. Per Politico, SarahPAC is donating to 40+ candidates this week alone.

It is my hope that even Fox News realizes that the SS Palin has been a leaky, crazy, tacky and budget vessel from the start and it?s time to jump ship permanently. But I fear that Palin still has some die-hard fans and Palin will still make a ton of money from being a ?pundit? on Fox and other conservative outlets.

Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian at the Cannes Lions festival on Wednesday. Her Beetlejuice suit is Balmain and while it?s not super-flattering, I like that Kim understands that at least she needs to wear vertical stripes. Kanye West did a talk at the festival last year, so it?s Kim?s turn this year. She?s been in the South of France for much of the week, and something really crazy happened to her on Tuesday night ? a naked drunk lady pounded on the door of her hotel room demanding to be let in. Kim tweeted about it yesterday:
Thanks to the drunk naked woman banging on my door I have been up since 4 am! I’m so sleepy now but have to work! It’s gonna be a long day! I took a fun video of her as a reminder of why I never tolerated drinking 2 much! Slob kabob! I won’t post it but it’s funny! She thought her Amex was my room key lol. Kim also chatted about the incident at her Cannes Lions discussion, saying that the woman wasn?t so much knocking as ?banging and kicking.? Since it was 4 am, Kim said, ?I screamed profanities at her and told her to put some clothes on and get off my door, but she kept using her AmEx as the key. She had no idea it was my room.? That?s really crazy.
Anyway, Kim?s discussion was really about the future of social media and her mobile video game, which is still making crazy money.
About her game, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood: ?The game is you just want to make it in Hollywood, you want to make it to the A-list and get as many fans and followers and cool wardrobes as possible ? we really mirror my real life, and make it in real time?I wouldn?t say it was risky, but it was new territory for me to go into the gaming space ? Her current social media strategy: ?You just have to be authentic. There?s nothing more than I can?t stand is when Instagram becomes very promotional. I know a lot of my brands get frustrated that I don?t promote as much as they would like, but I only do it if it?s authentic, if I genuinely love it. I have really stayed true to myself on Instagram ? maybe too many bikini selfies for some people, but it?s what I want.?
Women in gaming: ?Gaming is typically a men?s world, most of the games are male-driven, so I feel excited we brought a female fan base to the gaming and to the tech world, and I hope that this brings other opportunities for women in this field.?

Call me Kaiser Kardashian, but I really don?t have a problem with anything she says here. I mean, what we always say about Kim is true: she?s a self-centered, vapid narcissist. But she?s really not trying to convince people she?s anything but that. And she?s figured out a way to become a very rich woman because of her vapid narcissism. So? sure. Let her talk about social media and stuff.
