Ready to take the Lincoln Center stage, Angelina Jolie was among those on-hand for the 3rd Annual Women in the World Summit in New York City on Thursday evening (March 8).
The 36-year-old actress looked classy in a white blazer over a pearl top with black pants as she gave a wave to photographers lining the arrivals area before heading inside the David H. Koch Theater.
Other big names joining in on the three day event centered on addressing problems facing women of all ages include dignitaries such as Madeleine Albright and Hillary Clinton, as well as Oscar winning actress Meryl Streep.
With live stream coverage found below, Miss Jolie is among the guest speakers tonight - as she's expected to make her way onstage at 8:25PM ET.

There are several Angelina Jolie stories today, some of barely any importance, but some are interesting. First off, the script for the Salt sequel was completed and sent to Angelina – and she rejected it. She?s already signed on to make the sequel to her 2010 hit film, but it seems that Jolie has script approval, and since she didn?t care for this draft, everyone is going back to the drawing board to please The Leg.
Angelina is currently in NYC to attend the International Women?s Day ?Women in the World? Summit. The theme for this year?s summit is ?Empower Rural Women – End Poverty and Hunger.? Incidentally Angelina?s SUV was spotted pulling up to a hot dog vendor in New York and she seemed to grab some hot dogs to go. Allegedly, all of the kids were in the SUV too. There are also widely varied reports about Angelina?s Leg of Doom – some people say she?s still really upset, some people say she thinks it?s all a hoot. Whatever.
And Radar/Star Magazine just released this ?exclusive? interview with one of Billy Bob Thornton?s ex-wives, who seems to want to dish some dirt on BBT?s most famous ex-wife, Angelina:
Angelina Jolie?s desire for a family destroyed her marriage to her second husband, Billy Bob Thornton, Star magazine has learned from the actor?s ex wife in a world exclusive interview. Melissa deBin-Parish was married to the Bad Santa actor for two years, from 1978-1980, and reveals that his bizarre relationship to Jolie ended when the actress decided she wanted kids.
?I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that he did not want to be around children back then,” Melissa told Star. ?Look at the timeline: she adopted Maddox and then, [Billy] was gone.?
Melissa told Star that she believed Billy Bob?s marriage to Angelina was doomed from the start. ?I think he cheated on his other wives. He had a problem with fidelity. Could you imagine cheating on Angelina?! That would be the dumbest thing in the world. How would he top that??
She said she was surprised to hear that Angelina and Billy Bob were together because it seemed like an ?odd pairing,? telling Star: ?But you just never know with people. I always wondered why they were attracted to each other. Here she is, this stunning woman. The two of them are total opposites. I thought it was baffling. Maybe it was their creative minds or intelligence. He is very charismatic.?
After Billy Bob and Angelina split she told Barbara Walters that they had grown apart. ?I thought he was amazing. And, now I just feel like I don’t know him? We’re not friends.?
They?ve apparently come a long way in their relationship though, as Angelina is reportedly writing the forward to his memoir, The Billy Bob Tapes: A Cave Full of Ghosts, and that news shocked his first wife.
?I?m surprised,? Melissa said. ?I just didn?t think that there was any interaction anymore. That?s a very big thing to do. I?m glad she did it for him.?
And, Melissa has nothing but praise for Jolie. ?I heard through the family that Angelina was a very kind person and a wonderful humanitarian,? she told Star. ?The family never said anything negative about her. I think the biggest bond in his life is theirs.?
Meanwhile, Melissa said that her own relationship with Billy Bob was also doomed from the beginning. ?My daughter was 18 months old when we split up,? she revealed of their now 32-year-old daughter Amanda Brumfield, who is currently serving 20 years in a Florida prison for aggravated manslaughter of a child. Melissa says that Billy Bob?s goodwill hasn?t extended Amanda, who has tried to speak to her dad from behind bars but has been ignored.

Eh. I mean, why are we still analyzing the BBT-Jolie split? Maybe it was about Maddox?s adoption, but I think it?s unfair to say that Billy Bob had no interest in kids – he had two sons who were young boys at the time of his marriage to Angelina, and he and Angelina had joint custody of them. I think becoming a step-mother to BBT?s kids made her want to be a mom even more. Just my opinion.

This is going to be an epic post about Angelina Jolie and The Leg of Conspiracies And Awfulness. I just wanted to throw this March cover from Vogue Turkey out there because it?s just a striking image. It was shot by Mert & Marcus, as part of a real photo shoot for the magazine it seems. Mert & Marcus shot Angelina last year for Vanity Fair, but I don?t think these are ?extra? photos from that older shoot. Here?s a poor quality snap of the magazine pictorial:
Nice. Sort of. I?m impressed that Angelina did a photo shoot for Vogue Turkey – a magazine that isn?t on every American celebrity?s radar, you know? Angelina has been promoting In the Land of Blood and Honey in several Islamic-heavy markets lately – she even did an interview with Al-Jazeera too. Don?t worry – it?s just as boring as her interviews with Western outlets:
In other Jolie news? eh. Bill O?Reilly was yelling about Angelina?s body at the Oscars, saying on Monday, ?Is it just me or is she looking mighty slim these days? Emaciated even? I was kind of taken aback. Look at the arms on her! Once again the media largely ignoring Ms. Jolie?s physical profile, but she is a role model for some women. I mean, she is slight.? Meh.
Oh, and I guess Brad Pitt has been sent out to do some damage control on Leg-gate, because he was talking about babies with Access Hollywood, post-Oscars. He was asked if he and Angelina plan to have more kids, and he said, ?We average about two a year, so I guess we’re overdue, aren’t we?” And Angelina concurred: ?If they come our way, we’d be happy to have them all. We love children.” Wait, what? ?If they come our way?? Like, if a neighbor child strays into their yard, Angelina is like, ?MINE!??

Go ahead and yell at me, but I still don?t see the big deal about Angelina Jolie?s leg posing at the Oscars. I mean, I understand why it?s a ?thing? and I think she needed to put her leg away, of course. I thought it was funny when The Descendants screenwriters teased her, but I thought that?s all it was – friendly teasing. Was she trying too hard to work the slit on her dress? Yes. But it?s Angelina. It?s not some Glee twit. Even when Angelina is ?trying too hard? it?s still pretty awesome. The whole incident – and my perception of the balls-out crazy overreaction to The Leg – reminded me of the thing from the 2009 Critics Choice Awards, where everyone claimed Angelina made a bitchface when Anne Hathaway won Best Actress – go back and watch the tape with your 2012 eyes. Is that really what happened? Or are you just hungry to criticize Angelina for anything and nothing?
Anyway, Angelina decided to do some post-Oscar-catastrophe (?? RLY ??) image work. Very conveniently – oh so convenient! – Angelina was pap?d in Beverly Hills yesterday with her de facto mother-in-law, Jane Pitt, and Angie?s youngest kids, the twins Vivienne and Knox.
*jingles keys in front of audience*
You will forget about The Leg. You will stare at photos of happy Jolie-Pitt children. You will see that Angelina still has the approval of Brad?s mom. You will see that Vivienne – the child who normally looks like she?s always on the verge of a wailing temper tantrum – is happy and lovingly attached to her mother. What Leg?
Seriously, though – if Angelina was really worried about The Leg and her detractors, she would have brought out the big guns – Empress Zahara! The fact that we?re getting Viv and Knox means that she?s concerned, but she?s not putting up the Code Red: Brangelina Catastrophe siren.

OK, I?m ready to talk about Brangelina. No, wait. Let?s just skip the Brad Pitt stuff, okay? Because it was like he was barely there. I?m happy that he was nominated twice, as producer and actor, and I would have loved if he had won, but he basically had no chance. Hopefully, he knew that. So let?s just talk about Angelina Jolie and her LEG and this Versace gown. My thoughts on the gown in general – Angelina is comfortable in black, and she was made to wear Versace. It made her waist look tiny. CB and I think her arms look too skinny, so maybe she could have covered them up, but overall, I didn?t hate this on Angie. It wasn?t the best, it wasn?t the worst.
As for her posing and THAT LEG. I don?t even know what was possessing her throughout the red carpet and then on stage – she shouldn?t have to contort her body that hard in a gown. We understand – there?s a high slit. Put your leg down, Jolie. So, Angelina?s leg has now become a meme. Buzzfeed has ?the ten best photos of Angelina?s leg? here. Angelina?s right leg also has its own Twitter account now. And when she presented Best Adapted Screenplay to the three screenwriters of The Descendants, they jokingly ?assumed the position? with their legs out, and it was hilarious. I would have loved a cutaway to Angelina?s face then, because I hope she was laughing at herself.
So after The Descendants? guys ?mocked? her (in what I thought was good humor), everyone was like ?OMG, they think she?s so stupid and obviously they hate her of course.? Um, what? So the screenwriters are getting even more press by explaining that it was just a light-hearted JOKE.
One of the best spontaneous moments of comedy during the 84th Annual Academy Awards came courtesy of Jim Rash, co-writer of The Descendants, and the daffy Dean Pelton on NBC?s Community. After he and collaborators Nat Faxon and Alexander Payne won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay, Rash chose to spend his time on stage paying homage to presenter Angelina Jolie?s right-leg-flashing fashion pose.
?Honestly, as soon as I saw her pose like that, I was like, ?I?m going to do that,?? Rash told EW at the Governors Ball after the show. Producers had asked all the nominees, explained Rash, to have only one person speak when there were three or more winners. ?I knew Alexander was going to take the reigns, so I was like, ?How can I make a moment?? ? selfishly,? laughed Rash. ?I almost thought it was a little Dean Pelton, somehow. I was bringing it all together. Because I have stood like that [on Community].?
And no, Rash had not yet spoken with Jolie about the moment. Was he at least aware that, while he was doing the pose, Jolie was doing it too, standing in the dark on the far left of the stage? ?Are you serious? Oh my god, that?s fantastic.?

Nat Faxon went on to tell The Hollywood Reporter, ?Angelina’s supremely hot. There’s no way to do anything but honor her.? And Rash said, “I had just seen her pose and thought it was bold and fun. And you know what? We have exactly the same legs! Really, it was a loving tribute and nothing but.” See? It?s fine. Brangeloonies, don?t take a fatwa against these poor, funny screenwriters. Brange haters, chill out. These guys are not one of you.

Brad Pitt may not have won Best Actor for Moneyball, that honor went to Jean Dujardin for The Artistobviously (seriously, the Academy must have gotten so hard watching that silent film), but he still gets to bang Angelina Jolie and her right leg, which kept making an appearance through a slit in her dress the entire night. That fact pretty much trumps any Oscar achievement.

They?re no strangers to the red carpet, and Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt caused quite a stir as they arrived at the 84th Academy Awards tonight (February 26).
The ?Changeling? actress looked fabulous in Atelier Versace and Neil Lane jewels joined her Tom Ford tux clad ?Inglourious Basterds? beau as the pair worked the arrivals area like the seasoned pros they are, lighting up the Kodak Theatre with their magnificent smiles.
Coming up tonight, Brad will compete for Best Actor and Best Picture for his acting and producing work on ?Moneyball.?
As for the other nominees, ?Hugo? is up for 11 Oscars, while ?The Artist? has 10 nods, ?War Horse? scored 6 nominations, and ?The Descendants? and ?The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo? each have 5 chances for greatness.
The 84th Academy Awards will be hosted by past favorite Billy Crystal and will celebrate the best and brightest in the movie industry.

Extra released a new-ish interview with Angelina Jolie yesterday – the interview actually took place last week, when Angelina was in Sarajevo for the Bosnian premiere of In the Land of Blood and Honey. What could have been a decent two-minute edited video interview is drawn out to seven minutes of real-time, unedited boringness, though. Look, I love Angelina. But she?s not half as interesting this dude thinks she is. Angelina discusses the film, whether she?ll direct again, whether she?ll ever direct Brad Pitt in a project, and around the five-minute mark, she talks about the possibility she?ll marry Brad:

Extra is claiming in their text of the interview that ?Angelina Jolie hints to Jerry Penacoli she may finally be ready to marry Brad Pitt.? Because she replied to the question, ?Maybe.? She sounded unconvinced and unconvincing. But look how she lights up when she talks about the kids – ?They figured out what marriage is now, they’re old enough so now they kind of like the idea of it. But we’re still convinced that half of them just want to party.”
In other Angelina news, she?s just been confirmed for Newsweek/The Daily Beast?s annual Women In the World Summit, which will be held in NYC next month. Angelina will be joining congresswomen, international politicians, Nobel laureates, journalists, humanitarians, businesswomen and Meryl Streep. Yay!

Here are some more photos of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at the Sarajevo premiere/screening of In the Land of Blood and Honey – Angelina?s black Versace still seems dated to me, but whatever. Brad and Angie were all over the place in Europe last week – Berlin, Paris, Sarajevo and even Croatia. Angelina went to Croatia without Brad, and with the cast of ITLOBAH. Unfortunately, we don?t have photos – you can see some here. Angelina wore a long-sleeved orangey-coral-colored gown for that event. I?m not crazy about her in that color, but the style of the dress is flattering enough. I appreciate Angelina?s commitment to sleeves. Too many celebrity women fall into the ?strapless gown? trap and never get out.
Anyway, while Brad and Angie were in Sarajevo last week, they hosted a party for the film, and Us Weekly has all the details on the lavish spread:
It was a feast fit for the King and Queen of Hollywood! To celebrate the Sarajevo premiere of her Bosnian war drama In the Land of Blood and Honey, Angelina Jolie pulled out all the stops for a lavish, unforgettable dinner on Tuesday.
With love Brad Pitt at her side, the actress-turned-director, 36, hosted about 30 people who worked on the film at Zetra Sports Hall, where the local film premiere took place; about 200 guests noshed on finger food during an earlier reception.
The dinner menu, prepared by the staff at the Bristol Hotel (where the superstar couple stayed), was sumptuous indeed: bruschetta with chicken liver pate; red trout fillet with black and red rice and fennel; veal filet with three kind of herbs; kadun butic (a traditional Bosnian dish featuring three types of minced meat on a cinnamon stick), and a dessert trio of hazelnut cremino, raspberry cheese cake and tartufo nero.
Jolie and Pitt, 48, paid their compliments to the staff; “they thanked them for wonderful hospitality and tasty food,” a staffer tells Us. “Jolie tasted a little bit of everything”.
In the Land of Blood and Honey actor Fedja Stukan (who dined at Pitt and Jolie’s table) gushed about the meal via the hotel Bristol’s Facebook page: “I must admit that I never had better tasting food! Angelina and Brad agreed with me.”

Do you believe that Angelina ?tasted a little bit of everything?? The stans will say that she was working, she was networking, and that?s why she didn?t eat that much but she probably did eat and we?re all just haters. The anti-Jolie people will say that of course she ?tasted a little bit? and then she stopped eating because she?s so thin and TERRIBLE and EVIL. As for me… I really don?t think she looks as deathly ill as many of you seem to think. She?s slender. Her legs are especially tiny, but she?s always had really slim legs. From the hips up, I actually think Angelina is looking healthier than she has in a few years. When she puts on weight, it goes to her upper arms and her abdomen (which is incidentally why people think she looks pregnant). So, my verdict: she?s eating solid food. She could totally eat more, and I wish she would, but I don?t buy that she?s starving herself. I think she just eats like a bird.

I thought I could always count on Angelina Jolie to be the kind of woman who would never wear a gigantic rose on or around her boob. I was wrong. These are photos of Brad Pitt and Angelina at the Paris premiere of In the Land of Blood and Honey. Can I just say? I?m pleasantly surprised that this film is getting a gigantic roll-out in Europe. I wasn?t expecting to see all of these Brangelina-red-carpet photos, and they always brighten my day a little. Anyway, Angelina is wearing Ralph & Russo. Ralph & Russo also did that grey-blue cashmere gown that she wore in Berlin a few nights ago – that one that made her boobs look good. I really liked that one. Not so much with this one. Is it just me or is that one sleeve a really weird length?
It?s not that I hate Angelina in white. Remember that white/cream Versace she wore to the premiere of The Tourist? I loved that. I wish she would wear that silhouette more often – long-sleeved, deep V-neck with a wrap effect. It?s super-flattering. Part of the reason I dislike this gown is that grey-black ombre effect around the one shoulder. I just? it doesn?t look good, I don?t think. I?m just not loving this.
As for Brad… I’ve grown to hate those tinted glasses. Passionately.
