It’s been well over a year since we’ve heard any rumors of an engagement between Madonna and her 25-year-old boytoy, Brahim Zaibat. Thanks to CB, the guy’s last name will always remind me of “jailbait.” These two crazy kids have been dating (or rather, living together) for nearly three years, and we’ve learned how Brahim hilariously wanted to “make an honest woman” out of Madge. Yet she’s always shot down his proposals.
There seems to have been a shift in their relationship lately. Madonna actually let Brahim escort her to the Met Gala! Remember, she used to keep him under wraps for big events. We’d see pics of Brahim dancing onstage with her, and they’d go clubbing and play grab ass on family vacations. The Met Gala is a pretty big deal, so it says something that Madge let Brahim play with the big kids. Now In Touch is saying that Madonna is actually referring to Brahim as her fiance. Is it true?
Is Madonna engaged?!
An eyewitness tells the new issue of In Touch that Madonna introduced her 25-year-old boyfriend of two years, Brahim Zaibat, as her fianc at an Sept. 4 Rosh Hashanah service at the Kabbalah Centre in NYC.
And the singer wasn?t shy to introduce Zaibat as her new fianc in front of her kids and other guests. ?She looked so happy and didn?t try to keep it a secret,? the witness tells In Touch. ?It was like she wanted everyone to know she was going to marry this man.?
Madonna and Zaibat have attended numerous services at the Kabbalah Centre together, but this is the first she has introduced him as more than her boyfriend.

Gossip Cop has already shot down this story as false, but that doesn’t mean it’s not true. I think if they do get married, they’ll elope. By the way, Brahim signed onto the new season of the French version of DWTS. It would surprise me if Madonna hasn’t thought of putting a ring on it so he didn’t roam too far in the process.
Interestingly enough, Brahim just did a new interview with RTL France in which he talks quite a lot about Madonna. Among other things, he said, “She’s not a monster … she’s a normal woman … I respect her … She’s a machine … My life hasn’t changed.” Perhaps there was something lost in translation, but this guy sounds like a pretty, dim bulb. At least he’s not still droning on about his amazing talent.

These are photos of Madonna from the Chime for Change concert a few weeks ago in London. I just wanted to re-use these photos because they are still crazy and noteworthy. Madonna was in the news last week because she was promoting her MDMA tour documentary, Madonna: The MDMA Tour. It features not only her performances but lots of backstage stuff, including footage of Lourdes and Rocco. Madge sat down with Good Morning America on Friday to discuss her life, her children, the documentary and she also defended her use of prop guns in the show. Also: her face doesn?t look as crazy in motion.

Some highlights from the interview:
On using prop guns during the tour: “That would be like asking people to not have guns in action movies. I mean the thing is, guns don’t kill people, people kill people. That whole first section of the show is like an action movie, and I was playing a super vixen who wanted revenge.”
On violent movies delaying release after Sandy Hook: “Well that’s not going to change the situation. This all comes from fear and ignorance, and people not really raising their children, or not paying attention to what’s going on.”
On Lourdes working for the tour: “She worked in the wardrobe department. She had the very, very unglamorous task of undressing and dressing the male dancers. We had a lot of male dancers. It had its unglamorous moments, they’re sweaty and disgusting and they’re rude. But she took her job very seriously.”
Rocco is a showboat: “He threw himself in front of me. He’s the showboat in the family,” Madonna said.
On parenting: “Pretty strict. My daughter just got an iPhone. She’s 16. Ever since my daughter got an iPhone, she stopped talking to me? Seeing my daughter at 16 — it’s kind of uncomfortable. She’s still my little girl and she’s also a woman.?
On Rocco: “He’s a foot taller. He’s getting facial hair. He’s looking at girls’ butts. It’s terrible.”

While I agree with Madonna that delaying a violent movie?s release isn?t ?going to change the situation? of violence against children, I think her second statement is truly ignorant: ?This all comes from fear and ignorance, and people not really raising their children, or not paying attention to what’s going on.? I think that?s an awful thing to say. Maybe in Madonna?s mind, she?s trying to make a pointed comment about the shooters, the perpetrators of these crimes, but it also sounds like she?s blaming the parents of the victims too. Like, if the parents of the Sandy Hook children had simply been BETTER PARENTS, their children wouldn?t have died. Which is bullsh-t, and offensive as hell. It?s Serena Williams-level victim blaming too ? regardless of what kind of parents a child has, EVERY CHILD has the fundamental right to go to school and not be slaughtered in their classroom.

Always one to turn heads wherever she goes, Madonna walked the red carpet at the Epix world premiere of "Madonna: The MDNA Tour" on Tuesday (June 18) in New York City.
Donning a fitted black tux and top hat, the Material Girl hammed it up for the shutterbugs outside the Paris Theatre before heading inside for the main event.
The show features concert footage, shot primarily in Miami during the ageless singer's MDNA tour, which Madge describes as ?My show is a journey?the journey of a soul from darkness to light. It is part cinematic musical theatre ? part spectacle and sometimes intimate performance art. It is journey from anger to love and from chaos to order. There are good guys and bad guys to help illustrate this point. Sometimes I play both. It must be watched with an open heart from beginning to end. I am sure if it is viewed this way, you will walk away feeling inspired, invigorated and will want to make the world a better place."

Here are some photos of Madonna at ‘The Sound of Change Live’ concert at Twickenham Stadium in London last night. The concert was benefiting Chime for Change, which is an organization that helps women and girls all around the world. Chime for Change always sounded like such a wonderful organization for artists and musicians to associate with, and they got a really good turnout at this event. It was all about female empowerment and education for women and feminism. And this is how Madonna looked for that empowering message.
I mean, obviously Madonna has had work done on her face for years now. Remember when she got cheek implants or a ?ribbon lift? or whatever it was? She looked awful for the better part of two years or something. And now Madge has gotten more work done. My unprofessional eye says that her puffiness might be a combination of things ? lots and lots of fillers for a start. This isn?t Botox necessarily, but I?m sure Madge is getting Restylane injections. And I?m sure they?re budget. I also kind of think she looks like she?s on Steroids or something, like she?s having a reaction to some bad medication, maybe?
The Mail reports that Madonna looked so weird that as soon as she came on stage, Twitter blew up with people complaining about her puffy visage. You know what really offends me though? Madonna is super-rich ? she could afford the best doctors, the best cosmetic surgeons, the highest-quality work (like Sharon Stone!), but instead Madonna cheaped out and went budget and now this is her face. Ugh.

As Kaiser reported in April, Lourdes Leon is currently dating her schoolmate (from LaGuardia Performing Arts High School) Timothee Chalame, who also appears as the Vice President’s son on “Homeland.” She’s 16, and he’s 17, so it seems like a very appropriate relationship and not one that would automatically throw up red flags for any parent other than the obligatory, “OMG, my daughter has a boyfriend.”
Still, Lourdes doesn’t have any ordinary mother. She’s the daughter of Madonna, who is notoriously overprotective perhaps because mom knows very well what acts young people are capable of getting away with. Because, you know, Madonna herself still behaves like a youngun. Timothee seems like a good kid though even if there’s a Bieber-esque vibe to his fashion taste. Here’s some photos from his Instagram, and he seems to have a sense of humor about himself:
Even though this kid seems alright, Madonna isn’t taking any chances here. She’s making Lourdes take a paid chaperone on every single date with Timothee. Does this sound reasonable?
Strict Madonna finally let her daughter Lourdes Leon go on a date with her boyfriend, “Homeland” star Timothee Chalamet, without parental supervision. But the Material Girl sent a burly chaperone to keep a very close eye on the young couple. Lourdes, 16, and Timothee, 17, classmates at LaGuardia HS of Music & Art and Performing Arts on the Upper West Side, were spotted Saturday night at Brother Jimmy?s BBQ on Second Avenue. Page Six exclusively reported in April that the two were dating, and shortly after, they were spotted on a double date with Lourdes’ father, Carlos Leon, and his fiancee. But on Saturday, Lourdes escaped the watchful eye of her protective parents to have dinner chaperoned by one of Madge’s bodyguards. While the lovebirds sat at a corner table, the guard sat at another and “never took his eyes off of them,” a source told us. Spies told us Timothee reached a few times across the table and grabbed his date’s hand. “They were leaning close together to talk before food came. He was making her laugh a lot,” a spy said. The teens went Dutch on the $51 bill. When the date was over, the bodyguard swiftly escorted the two to a chauffeured car. Timothee, whose character on “Homeland” was aptly shadowed by Secret Service agents on dates, graduates this year. Lourdes graduates in 2014. Madonna recently told “Extra” about Lourdes’ companion, “She has a very nice boyfriend.” But asked if that was Chalamet, she turned coy and said, “I don’t know!”

The case could certainly be made that Madge was merely providing Lourdes and Timothee with a bodyguard to actually protect them rather than to make sure they didn’t get to second base. After all, the world is a very dangerous place for anyone, and celebrity kids make very attractive targets not only from civilian gawking but also from sickos who would seek to do them harm. At the same time, I think there’s part of Madge who remembers exactly what goes on in teenagers’ minds (after all, she pretty much still dates teenagers herself), so Madge is using the “security” excuse to make sure Timothee doesn’t see fit to put some serious moves on her daughter. At a certain point though, Madge is going to have to stop doing this. Lourdes can’t walk around with a chaperone forever. At least, not after she turns 18!

I guess I sort of have to give it to Madonna. She?s 54 years old and her thighs look better than mine. These are photos of Madge at the Billboard Music Awards. This is how she walked the carpet, this is how she sat in the audience, this is how to received her awards for ?Top Touring Artist? and ?Top Dance Album? and this is how she posed for the press. Madonna didn?t feel like putting on a skirt, so she didn?t. She didn?t feel like changing her costume, so she didn?t. She wore the same garter belt and fishnet whatever the whole night. And it?s fine. Just give in to it. Madge thinks she?s being controversial. Let her think that.
I do want to say something about her face though ? remember when her face looked painful? She had chicken cutlet cheekbone fillers inserted or she had a ribbon lift or something, and her face looked so painful for several years. But it doesn?t anymore. She?s had to let go of her oversized cheekbones, but her face looks softer. I?m sure she?s had so much work done, but it?s better work than she got a few years ago.
I?m also including photos of Celine Dion (she?s 45!) in Atelier Versace. God, doesn?t Celine look amazing? I wouldn?t be surprised if Celine gets some occasional Botox, but I appreciate that she doesn?t look waxy or frozen. This Versace is great on her too ? very few women could pull off that color.

Ha! I love how celebrities are totally shading Gwyneth Paltrow these days. If you missed my earlier post on Chloe Sevigny?s world-class shade on Goop, go here. Chloe was asked for her thoughts on Gwyneth?s petulant hissy fit about how ?un-fun? the Met Gala was this year. And now Us Weekly?s print edition has an excellent story about WHY Gwyneth had such an awful time this year. It involves Madonna! Madonna and Gwyneth used to be friends until they had a falling out at some point a few years ago. Now they barely speak to each other, and Madonna goes out of her way to be a bitch to Goop.
The Material Girl is a Mean Girl! An insider tells Hot Stuff that Madonna went out of her way to make ex-friend Gwyneth Paltrow miserable at the May 6 Met Gala in NYC. Madonna gave Gwyneth the cold shoulder, then buddied up to tablemate ? and current Paltrow pal ? Beyonce.
?She chatted with Beyonce for most of the evening and didn?t even glance at Gwyneth,? says the source. ?Everyone talked about it.?
The feud stems back to 2009, when Paltrow got fed up with the rude treatment from her onetime BFF.
?Madonna would sh-t on her, over and over,? says a Paltrow source. Years after Gwyneth dropped her, Madge is still hurt by the snub, says another insider: ?She fels Gwyneth abandoned her. Now Madonna will do anything to make her suffer.?
And apparently she did. Days after the fashion bash, Paltrow told interviewers she would never attend again.

I don?t believe that Gwyneth dropped Madonna because Madonna ?would sh-t on her over and over.? I mean, I believe Madonna can be an awful person and she always has to be ?top dog? in her relationships, but who believes that Gwyneth isn?t perfectly capable of being just as nasty, judgmental and bitchy right back? No, I think they had a falling out over several things, especially Tracy Anderson and that whole situation. Gwyneth pretty much ?stole? Tracy from Madonna and that?s the biggest untold gossip story.
But yeah, how funny is it to imagine Madonna spending all of her time with Gwyneth?s new BFF Beyonce? Goop must have been so peeved.

Here is Madonna embracing the punk theme at last night’s Met Ball 2013 in New York.
She wearing rather less material than usual in a pair of ripped fishnet stockings accompanied by by tartan studded jacket and leather gloves… and no discernible skirt or trousers.
She said: I was a fan of Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen “and that whole era.” Still, she added, she didn’t want her outfit to be too literal. “I wanted to do my own thing, but my own twist on it.”

Guess who else wore Givenchy, just like Beyonce and Kim Kardashian? Madonna. Are they the same level of celebrity? Ugh. Anyway, let?s talk about Madonna. Let?s talk about this look and Madonna?s insistence on showing up at the Met Gala every year, even though she?s ?fallen out? with the cool kids, like Gwyneth, et al. I think Madonna is just throwing it in everybody?s faces at this point. I think the Met Gala is just her chance to shine and be a famewhore and have fun and get attention. They say that she arrived AFTER Beyonce, which is a pretty big deal considering Beyonce was the co-chair.
As for Madonna?s look? it was punk, I guess. The wig is fug, the outfit is funny and my favorite part is the crucifix hanging off of her butt. What do you want from her? She?s Madge. If she doesn?t show some butt cheek at a punk-themed event, who will?
Gwen Stefani could have showed some butt cheek and I think many of us would have expected it. But Gwen kind of didn?t know where to go, I think. She lives a pretty punk life as a rock star, so she tried to mix that with some glamour in this Maison Martin Margiela dress, and I?m not sure she succeeded. It?s not bad, and I think she really thought about the theme, but it?s more boring than I was expecting.
And just for a laugh, here?s Miranda Kerr in Michael Kors. For Kerr, punk = abs? I think she looks really dumb.

First of all, The NY Daily News has a copy of the handwritten note that Madonna sent to the new President of Malawi, Joyce Banda, and it’s hilarious! It’s full of exclamation points, run-on sentences and misspellings. Go over to the NY Daily News to check it out and come back here. That’s a note you send to a friend, not a head of state. Plus I’m sure they do things differently when it comes to correspondence in Africa. We’re really informal in America. Madonna lived in England for years, she should realize that she needs to send a type-written, proofread note to a new President.
Madonna was requesting a personal meeting with the new President prior to her weeklong tour of the country. Madonna of course adopted two children, both now 8, from Malawi, skirting longstanding adoption laws to do so. She’s also had several charity projects in Malawi that have been mired in controversy, most notably a $15 million dollar school, plans for which were scrapped in 2011. The NY Times ran a piece a couple of months later detailing the millions of dollars that went missing in that charity, spent on “outlandish expenditures on salaries, cars, office space and a golf course membership, free housing and a car and driver for the school?s director.” And of course Madonna’s cult, Kabbalah, was involved and was going to influence the school’s curriculum. So there’s much more going on here than Madonna offending the President with a dumb, handwritten note. This is Madonna trying to do damage control and tout the charity work that her foundation eventually did in Malawi, by funding some community schools. Still, the note is funny. The Material Girl sent a muddled letter to President Joyce Banda of Malawi last week to coincide with her latest goodwill trip to her country. But the impact of her words was diluted by a multitude of misspellings and led to her being refused a meeting, according to the New York Daily News.
Madonna, 54, addressed President Banda with the informal greeting ?Dear Joyce? in the hand-written note, in which she congratulated the most powerful woman in Africa on the ?new position? as the nation?s first female leader.
The pop star, who traveled to Malawi to check in on 10 school projects her charity built, proved she was in need of some serious schooling herself as she made a slew of errors in her note, including writing ?responsability? instead of ?responsibility.?
She even asked for a face-to-face with the president but her rambling and casual tone instead offended the president! The president told the pop star that she was too busy and instead delegated the meeting to officials from the education ministry, according to a report in the Nyasa Times.
And if the scribbled note wasn?t bad enough, the outreach itself may have been enough to upset the President. The President?s sister was previously fired from her role at Madonna?s Raising Malawi charity after accusations surfaced that she stole money.
Madonna is the country?s biggest global philanthropist, but as The Telegraph reported, her Raising Malawi program sparked criticism from the education minister over the schools that are financed by the charity.
Minister Eunice Kazembe denied that Madonna?s charity had built 10 new schools, saying that they had in fact ?built 10 classroom blocks.? However, her philanthropy team claims that the schools are built to the national standard and house thousands of kids in classrooms instead of under trees.
?We have called President Banda, we have sent letters to President Banda but we have not heard back,? said Trevor Neilsen.?It?s pretty clear what?s going on here ? the president?s sister now works in the education ministry and has an active grudge against Madonna.”

In regard to the allegations that the President’s sister stole from Madonna’s charity – the head of Raising Malawi stole a bunch of money in 2009 (allegedly) before resigning and running off with Madonna’s then-trainer, Tracy Anderson. (Who is a known fraud. Madonna fired Tracy as her trainer, then Tracy and that guy broke up.) So all this business about the President of Malawi’s sister being fired for embezzling money from the charity may be a smokescreen – or she may have been one of many people lining their pockets with money from that charity, from the top-down.
