It?s no secret that she has a tendency to push the limits of fashion, and earlier tonight (February 8) Madonna decided to see if she could get away with a one-of-a-kind ensemble at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.
The ?Material Girl? songstress was all smiles as she sauntered down the Staples Center red carpet in a black lace outfit that seemed to be equal parts burlesque dancer and sexy matador, and at one point she pulled up her skirt in the back to reveal her thong-baring booty.
Madge is slated to perform tonight along with top acts like Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett, Katy Perry, Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani and John Mayer.

She?s always been an innovator, so when Madonna was looking for unique ways to debut her latest music video, she decided Snapchat would be an interesting venue.
Madge launched ?Living For Love? on Thursday (February 5) by way of the picture messaging app, and there?s definitely an S&M vibe going on.
Directors Julien Choquart and Camille Hirigoyen put Madge in a battlefield-like setting filled with dancers clad in black and a hunky guy dressed as a bull. She sings, ?I could get caught up in bitterness/But I'm not dwelling on this crazy mess/What was lost, now I'm found/I picked up my crown, put it back on my head.?

Madonna took a break from being wildly offensive and inappropriate to chat with Australia?s Today Show yesterday. She?s still promoting her new album, six songs of which she?s already released because the incomplete songs were hacked and released. I have to apologize to Madge, actually. I thought the ?hack? of her music was a PR stunt to build momentum for her album, but she really was hacked and an Israeli guy was arrested for it. Anyway, Madonna is still Madonna, which is to say? she?s still a shade-throwing diva. The Taylor Swift part of this interview got all the headlines, but Madge threw some amazing shade on the ?princesses? of pop. Some highlights from the interview:
On Miley, Rihanna and Katy Perry: “It’s good to have princesses? It means there’s lots of pretty dresses around.?
On Taylor Swift: “I like Taylor Swift. I think she writes some really catchy pop songs. I can’t get them out of my head.”
Her reinventions: Madonna rolled her eyes at “the reinvention question? I’m not calculating anything. I’m just a changing, evolving creature, expressing myself as I go.”
Lourdes going to college: ?It’s hard letting them go out into the world but when she left home to go to college I was a mess. It was really hard letting her go. I’ve come to terms with it but yes I miss her and she’s a part of me, it was like losing my arm.?
Having her music hacked: “I was devastated by it. For an artist, it’s the ultimate violation to have your work taken from you before you’re finished and put out into the world for people to hear, to judge, to experience. I can’t begin to tell you how betrayed I felt?It’s a great relief to know (a suspect has been arrested) but also extremely disturbing. We couldn’t figure out, ‘What’s the common denominator?’ We were all ripping our hair out trying to figure out, ‘Who’s leaking this information? How is it getting out there?’ It was a great relief to know, but also extremely disturbing. And then if we don’t make music, what will people listen to? So they’re really just f–king themselves over.”

I LOVE ?It means there’s lots of pretty dresses around.? That is some world-class shade there. Oh, Katy Perry was the top-selling female artist of 2014? Pretty dress, says Madonna. It?s her equivalent of patting them on the head and telling them to get out of her light. You?d think Rihanna had handed Madge some hydrangeas.
Also, I totally believe that Madonna was devastated when Lourdes went to college. I?m not saying Madonna plays favorites with her kids, but Lola is her oldest, her firstborn. That was probably really, really tough.

In a new Instagram rant, Madge declares, ?There are those who want to shut me up but they cannot! We still live in a world that discriminates against women. There are people that are so hateful....They want to create feuds between strong women that do not exist! I do not wish ill will towards any other female artist and I never have!?
The ?Material Girl? songstress released six new tracks from her Rebel Heart album last week, though they?ve all suffered poor sales after an initial surge.

A few weeks ago, part of Madonna?s new album leaked online. The songs were ?stolen? and downloaded by some of the Madonna-loonies, but they really didn?t make a big impact. Like, some people were interested but most of the world just shrugged. Madonna had a hissy fit about it and went WAY overboard complaining about the leaks, comparing it to rape and a ?form of terrorism.? I theorized that she was actually upset about the fact that the song leaks barely had any impact anywhere, that most people didn?t even care.
Well, in any case, several days after those tracks leaked, Madonna released six songs of her new album, Rebel Heart. She released them on iTunes and Amazon, and again, the songs barely made an impact. According to the Daily Mail, there was a ?nosedive? in sales after the first week. The first week had Madonna in 13th place in sales, but now her big single ?Unapologetic Bitch? with Nicki Minaj is down to #188 on iTunes. The single ?Living for Love? is #529 on Amazon. So? yeah, it?s pretty bad. Madonna looks about as musically relevant these days as Milli Vanilli. In addition to all of that, one of the songs (“Two Steps Behind”) is allegedly about Lady Gaga. Which looks pretty bad, because even Gaga’s albums are selling better than Madge’s Rebel Heart. So Madge took to Instagram like the kidz to issue a statement:

… Which isn’t to say Madonna wouldn’t start a girl-on-girl beef if it helped her move some product. But for now, Gaga and Madonna are in similar places, which is to say? struggling with musical relevancy and a changing fanbase. Madonna thought her album release would be like Taylor Swift?s 1989, and it just wasn?t. Sigh? I do feel bad for Madge because she?s such a control freak and she genuinely didn?t want those tracks to leak when they did. That being said, it was probably an inside job because people were concerned about the awfulness of Rebel Heart.

Lady Gaga was the 2013 face of Versace. Her ads were totally blah ? Gaga looked like a less death-eater version of Donatella Versace. Gaga spent most of last year trying to promote the brand, with pretty awful results. Gaga either looked like Lana del Rey, or she just looked like Donatella?s twin. So, obviously, Gaga wasn?t the best person to represent the brand. So Donatella replaced Gaga with Madonna for the newest Versace ad campaign. And you know what? I don?t hate these ads at all. The combination of the black-and-white photography and Madonna?s new face works well.
Even after 30 years in the industry, Madonna is still in hot demand. Indeed, Versace has snapped up the 56-year-old to be the face of its SS15 campaign. The iconic pop star replaces Lady Gaga, 28, to front the brand and was chosen because designer Donatella Versace believes she is a ‘true icon’.
The images, which were photographed in New York City by industry heavyweights Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, aim to focus on Madonna?s ‘unique and iconic image’. The campaign was shot to capture the unapologetic and timeless power of Madonna today, according to the luxury fashion house. Of course, Madonna is dressed head-to-toe in pieces from the SS15 Versace collection and showcases her toned body in the imagery.
Speaking about her new role, Madonna said: ‘It?s always exciting to be dressed head-to-toe in Versace and experience first-hand Donatella?s vivid imagination and passion that she has created for this collection.?
Designer Donatella added: ‘Madonna is one of the true icons of Versace. I am thrilled to have my friend and the most powerful and directional artist as the face of Versace for Spring 2015.’
This is the fourth time that Madonna has appeared in Versace?s advertising campaigns; her first was back in 1995.

As I said, I like it. Even though I?m pretty sure Madonna has gone through another round of extensive plastic surgery, I have to say? she finally got some quality work done, at long last. Plus, she?s got great hair in these ads! That?s a really flattering cut and color. Beyond that? it?s just nice to see a 56-year-old woman fronting a major ad campaign. Even if parts of Madonna were barely a glimmer in a plastic surgeon?s eye one year ago.

Advertising consultant Lisa Mirchin added, ?Once you hit that icon status, it?s not a matter of relevance. Is Marilyn Monroe or Audrey Hepburn relevant? I think so. Madonna is ageless, and so is most fashion. Women are dressing as one age now. The range can go from 20 to whatever nature and physics will allow.?

Over the past three-plus decades, Madonna has served as a cultural touchstone and she opens up about her crazy life in her cover story for Interview magazine.
The ?Material Girl? singer, who poses topless in one of her snapshots (taken by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott), shares her history of experimentation with drugs.
?I mean, I tried everything once, but as soon as I was high, I spent my time drinking tons of water to get it out of my system. As soon as I was high, I was obsessed with flushing it out of me. I was like, ?Okay, I?m done now.??
Madge also notes that she?s always surrounded herself with interesting folks- ?I was attracted to creative people. You don?t want to be the smartest person in the room; you want to be the dumbest in the room.?
And as she grew older, ?I became very obsessed with death, and the idea that you never know when death will arrive, so one has to do as much as possible all the time to get the most out of life. We?re all good intrinsically, just covered sometimes in filth and darkness, and our job is to get rid of it, to peel back the layers and reveal our goodness.?

Madonna covers the new issue of Interview Magazine, although I wouldn?t be surprised if you didn?t even recognize her. It feels like Madonna has gone away for a while, and once again she?s come back with a new face. I swear, she has a new nose, new lips, new eyes and different ?cheekbones.? Goodbye, old-school Gristle and hello? whatever this is. Anyway, the Interview shoot was by Mert & Marcus and nearly every shot of it is NSFW. Go here to see the NSFW slideshow. I?m just including the two non-boob photos. You can also read the full interview here. I have to admit, I didn?t hate the interview. It was annoying at times and Madge is full of herself, but she?s interesting. Some highlights:
Which artists she likes nowadays: ?I like Banksy. I think he’s inspiring and he speaks to what’s going on in the world, socially. I like JR. Like [Jean-Michel] Basquiat and Keith Haring, who both started off as graffiti artists?their art is on the street, available for anyone to see. It’s not elitist. You can see Banksy’s work driving by it on the street, and JR’s work?the way he takes photographs of people and turns them into heroes in their communities and makes people proud of who they are. My son is interning with JR right now and that’s a great education for him.?
She lives life like Michael Corleone: ?Me, I live vicariously through Michael Corleone. I would like to deal with life the way he does. When he’s telling what’s-his-name that he’s going to go on a little fishing trip. My God. Brilliant.?
She needs time to pray: ?We spoke about this earlier?setting aside time for prayer. The ritual of prayer isn’t a religious thing as much as it is having a ritualistic moment to acknowledge things and not take things for granted. For instance: the fact that you wake up and there’s air in your lungs; the fact that you have a job to do; the fact that you have friends; the fact that you have your health. You’re going to do something that’s going to bring you joy. We take these things for granted. And, you know, I think it’s important to call angels to you to protect you.?
On her mother?s death: ?I became very obsessed with death, and the idea that you never know when death will arrive, so one has to do as much as possible all the time to get the most out of life. That would be a motivating force. And death was a big part of my life growing up. I went to lots of funerals …?
Just say no to drugs: ?It’s about how people take drugs to connect to God or to a higher level of consciousness. I keep saying, “Plugging into the matrix.” If you get high, you can do that, which is why a lot of people drop acid or do drugs, because they want to get closer to God. But there’s going to be a short circuit, and that’s the illusion of drugs, because they give you the illusion of getting closer to God, but ultimately they kill you. They destroy you. I mean, I tried everything once, but as soon as I was high, I spent my time drinking tons of water to get it out of my system. As soon as I was high, I was obsessed with flushing it out of me.?

I thought her discussion about Michael Corleone was very informative ? that?s how she sees herself, like a mobster taking out her enemies one by one. Mafia Madge? Huh. She also talks about Basquiat and hanging out with Andy Warhol, but it doesn?t feel so much like she?s name-dropping as much as she?s mourning all of these great artists who died too young. Poor Madge.

Anna Wintour is the famed overseer of the Met Ball so when Madonna asked if she could wrap herself in toilet paper and show off her nips, the answer was a resoundingno. Madonna didn’t like these gestapo tactics so she went on Instagram and wrote, “What i wanted to wear to Met Ball but Anna said Not this year! So I’m gonna work on music instead? #artforfreedom.” #OUTLAWCOUNTRY!
I’m pretty sure she was joking or at least I hope she was. She’s crazy if she thought anyone would leta 55-year-old walkaround celebs with her sad, droopy tits hanging out.
