You know our Grammys Open Post last night? I came thisclose to letting Madonna?s grillz host it, and that was before I even knew she was going to walk the red carpet in her grill, with her son. I just had a premonition that she would try to be all ?hip? like all the ?kids? with their grillz, and lo and behold, there she was, like the Portrait of Dorian Gray (if Dorian Gray maintained his youthful appearance with enough Botox to immobilize a rhino).
Madonna?s date for the evening was her son David Banda. My guess? Rocco refused to go with his mom because she was wearing the grill. David seems like a pretty cool kid though, and he said during the E! interview that he wants his own grill, just like his mom. As for Madonna, she wore this Ralph Lauren suit which ? taken apart from her crazy face and the grill ? is nice and flattering, if a little Al Capone-ish. There was a feeling that Madonna was even jealous of the attention her son was getting. She did interrupt him when he was talking, so God knows.
As I mentioned in the Grammy wrap-up post, Madonna performed with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. I liked the idea of it more than the execution ? the idea of pairing ?Open Your Heart? with ?Same Love? was solid. The execution, however? well, Madge couldn?t even open her mouth properly. She hobbled out, looking absolutely ancient, then mumbled her lyrics through a haze of Botox, fillers and some cheap face surgery. All so she could seem young. Like the kids!

On Friday, Madonna posted a photo of her son Rocco with his boxing gloves. She captioned the photo ?No one messes with Dirty Soap! Mama said knock you out! #disni–a”. As in, she dropped the n-word in an Instagram caption, because she?s so ?hip? and she?s one of the kidz and all the kidz are dropping n-words like candy, don?t you know? And in her own mind, Madonna is more oppressed than any black person. Totally.
So, obviously, it became a thing within minutes. Everyone got on Madonna?s Instagram and they were like ?Seriously? You suck. Racist.? So Madonna took the caption down and replaced it with ?Ok let me start this again. #get off my d-ck haters?. Ah, so charming. Such a delicate flower. And after everyone was like ?Seriously? NO,? Madge issued a non-apology to deal with the controversy. Here?s her statement:
“I am sorry if I offended anyone with my use of the N word on Instagram. It was not meant as a racial slur … I am not a racist. There’s no way to defend the use of the word. It was all about intention. It was used as a term of endearment toward my son who is white. I appreciate that it’s a provocative word and I apologize if it gave people the wrong impression. Forgive me.”

I could parse that all day long. Someone is probably writing a dissertation about that as we speak. ?It was not meant as a racial slur … I am not a racist.? My default position is that any and all use of the n-word is a racial slur. And making some kind of declaration of ?I am not a racist? doesn?t mean much when you?ve just dropped the n-word about your tween son. Oh, AND YOU ARE THE MOTHER OF BLACK CHILDREN.
But before we go full-on pearl clutching, let me just say? every second we spend wasting our breath on Madonna?s nonsense is a victory for her. I do not understand why she?s acting like Justin Bieber, but she?s actively seeking that comparison. She?s sad.

She's been in the music biz for over three decades, but Madonna is still able to cause controversy and draw criticism.
On Friday (January 17), the "Vogue" singer proudly posted a photo of her son Rocco in his boxing gear with the caption.
However, it was her corresponding caption that made headlines as she wrote, "No one messes with Dirty Soap! Mama said knock you out! #disni--a."
Backlash from Instagram users immediately followed, prompting a quick response from the 55-year-old star.
Later, she reposted the pic with the new caption, "Ok let me start this again. #get off of my d-ck haters!"

It’s the end of an era. As Kaiser reported last week, Madonna, 53, and Brahim Zaibat (which still, as CB once noted, hilariously sounds like “Jailbait“), 24, are on the rocks. This is very sad because Madonna and Brahim have been together since 2010. They’ve weathered several seasons together and even vacationed together (as these photos show) with Lourdes and Rocco as recently as August. Brahim even groped Madge’s ass as Mercy and David looked on. It was so romantic, but now it’s done.
I always assumed Madonna would keep Brahim around as long as he suited her purposes and then toss him to the curb with a nice settlement. Rumors of an engagement have persisted for years but have amounted to nothing. In 2011, we heard that Brahim wanted “to make an honest woman” out of Madge. The rumors repeated last August, but alas, it seems this fairytale has ended.
The Mail (citing Perez) says Madge and Brahim had a row over their careers and “clashing work commitments.” That’s funny because Brahim’s job was as a backup dancer for Madonna. That is, until he signed onto the French verson of DWTS and got cozy with his partner, Katrina Patchet. Now we’re hearing Brahim’s new job was a big reason for the split: “M thought that [DWTS] was too cheesy.” Madonna also reportedly feels “used,” and there is “no chance” for a reunion.
So yeah, Brahim is probably doing Katrina, and Madonna won’t put up with it. Good for her. I can only hope that Madonna won’t do Sean Penn again.

Here are some new photos of Madonna at the Berlin opening of Madge?s Hard Candy gym ? I?ve lost count of how many franchises she has now. She has one in Mexico, one in Rome and one in Berlin. I think there are others. I think we should be thankful that Madge didn?t wear her Grill (Grillz?) for this opening, which is what she did last time, for the Rome opening.
I have to ask you guys something about Madonna?s face? does it look like she?s had some recent work? I?m really asking. In some photos, I think she looks softer and less plastic-y, but then in others? I feel like we might be seeing new eye work. Something looks tighter and weirder around her eyes in particular.
By the way, as I?ve covered in the links over the past week, Madge acted like a dumbass at a recent NYC screening of 12 Years a Slave at the Alamo Drafthouse. She attended the screening, posed on the red carpet with director Steve McQueen, then she sat there during the film, texting the entire time, apparently. When someone asked her to stop, she shouted: ?It’s for business… enslaver!? The Alamo Drafthouse now says that Madonna is not welcome at any of their theaters until she apologizes.

Following up on that story about Madonna texting during a screening at the Alamo Drafthouse, she’s now been banned. An account of what happened came from film critic Charles Taylor on Facebook. Here’s the full post.
Tonight at the New York Film Festival premiere of ’12 Years A Slave’ (a masterpiece, by the way), I sat behind the unholy trifecta of Jason Ritter, J. Alexander from ‘America’s Next Top Model,’ and Michael K. Williams from ‘The Wire.’ Plus, a mysterious blonde in black lace gloves who wouldn’t stop texting on her Blackberry throughout the first half of the movie. Eventually, a woman next to me tapped her on the shoulder and told her to put her phone away, and the blonde hissed back, ‘It’s for business… ENSLAVER!’ I turned to the shoulder tapper and loudly said, ‘THANKS!’ and gave her a thumbs up. The rest of the movie, I kept thinking about how I wanted to tell the blonde what a disgrace she was. During the standing ovation, the blonde ducked out and Jason Ritter turned around to make commiserating eye contact, as J. Alexander asked, ‘Who WAS that?!’ Jason then looked down at the floor. His eyes got wide, and he picked up an envelope and showed it to us and J. And it said: ’2 screening tix Madonna.’ And sure enough, we looked to the side of the theater and standing against the wall in black lace gloves was Madonna. The worst person in America.
Tim League, founder of the Alamo Drafthouse and who has instituted a strict no texting policy, heard about the incident and went on Twitter to publicly ban her from stepping foot inside the Drafthouse until she issues an apology.

Madonna was invited to the New York Film Festival premiere of Steve McQueen’s12 Years a Slave and can you believe it? As the movie began, someone had the gall to tell Madonna to stop texting. Said a audience member, “a blonde in black lace gloves wouldn’t stop texting” so another audience member asked her to stop. Well, Madonna is not one to stand for this injustice.
She told that horrible person, “It’s for business… enslaver!” That’s right. Tell off that douchebag who was just trying to enjoy the movie! That enslaver. Don’t force your social norms on Madonna! I thought this was America! Plus, who else is going to tell the maid that there are dishes in the sink that need to be washed.
Another spy said that as the credits rolled and she tried to swiftly make a dash from the theater, Madonna heard director McQueen?s voice as he began a Q&A. She was overheard saying, ??I want to hear Steve speak,? then rushed back in for the Q&A,? the source said.
I wonder if she interrupted his Q&A with a bunch of inane questions. She seems like that type of person.

The new thing artists like doing now are performance pieces. Like Jay Z where he lip synced for “Picasso Baby.”Now there’s Madonna who did an art piece at a launch party yesterday for her new short calledsecretprojectrevolution.
The 17-minute short film kicks off Art for Freedom, an “online global initiative to further freedom of expression… to respond, address and protest persecution around the world.”
Madonna protested by covering Elliott Smith’s “Between the Bars.” Her version was a piece about “the prison industrial complex” instead of about love and alcohol. *Sniffs the air* Mm, that pretentious smell.
To repeat one of the YouTube comments, “Elliott Smith just killed himself twice.”

It’s been well over a year since we’ve heard any rumors of an engagement between Madonna and her 25-year-old boytoy, Brahim Zaibat. Thanks to CB, the guy’s last name will always remind me of “jailbait.” These two crazy kids have been dating (or rather, living together) for nearly three years, and we’ve learned how Brahim hilariously wanted to “make an honest woman” out of Madge. Yet she’s always shot down his proposals.
There seems to have been a shift in their relationship lately. Madonna actually let Brahim escort her to the Met Gala! Remember, she used to keep him under wraps for big events. We’d see pics of Brahim dancing onstage with her, and they’d go clubbing and play grab ass on family vacations. The Met Gala is a pretty big deal, so it says something that Madge let Brahim play with the big kids. Now In Touch is saying that Madonna is actually referring to Brahim as her fiance. Is it true?
Is Madonna engaged?!
An eyewitness tells the new issue of In Touch that Madonna introduced her 25-year-old boyfriend of two years, Brahim Zaibat, as her fianc at an Sept. 4 Rosh Hashanah service at the Kabbalah Centre in NYC.
And the singer wasn?t shy to introduce Zaibat as her new fianc in front of her kids and other guests. ?She looked so happy and didn?t try to keep it a secret,? the witness tells In Touch. ?It was like she wanted everyone to know she was going to marry this man.?
Madonna and Zaibat have attended numerous services at the Kabbalah Centre together, but this is the first she has introduced him as more than her boyfriend.

Gossip Cop has already shot down this story as false, but that doesn’t mean it’s not true. I think if they do get married, they’ll elope. By the way, Brahim signed onto the new season of the French version of DWTS. It would surprise me if Madonna hasn’t thought of putting a ring on it so he didn’t roam too far in the process.
Interestingly enough, Brahim just did a new interview with RTL France in which he talks quite a lot about Madonna. Among other things, he said, “She’s not a monster … she’s a normal woman … I respect her … She’s a machine … My life hasn’t changed.” Perhaps there was something lost in translation, but this guy sounds like a pretty, dim bulb. At least he’s not still droning on about his amazing talent.

These are photos of Madonna from the Chime for Change concert a few weeks ago in London. I just wanted to re-use these photos because they are still crazy and noteworthy. Madonna was in the news last week because she was promoting her MDMA tour documentary, Madonna: The MDMA Tour. It features not only her performances but lots of backstage stuff, including footage of Lourdes and Rocco. Madge sat down with Good Morning America on Friday to discuss her life, her children, the documentary and she also defended her use of prop guns in the show. Also: her face doesn?t look as crazy in motion.

Some highlights from the interview:
On using prop guns during the tour: “That would be like asking people to not have guns in action movies. I mean the thing is, guns don’t kill people, people kill people. That whole first section of the show is like an action movie, and I was playing a super vixen who wanted revenge.”
On violent movies delaying release after Sandy Hook: “Well that’s not going to change the situation. This all comes from fear and ignorance, and people not really raising their children, or not paying attention to what’s going on.”
On Lourdes working for the tour: “She worked in the wardrobe department. She had the very, very unglamorous task of undressing and dressing the male dancers. We had a lot of male dancers. It had its unglamorous moments, they’re sweaty and disgusting and they’re rude. But she took her job very seriously.”
Rocco is a showboat: “He threw himself in front of me. He’s the showboat in the family,” Madonna said.
On parenting: “Pretty strict. My daughter just got an iPhone. She’s 16. Ever since my daughter got an iPhone, she stopped talking to me? Seeing my daughter at 16 — it’s kind of uncomfortable. She’s still my little girl and she’s also a woman.?
On Rocco: “He’s a foot taller. He’s getting facial hair. He’s looking at girls’ butts. It’s terrible.”

While I agree with Madonna that delaying a violent movie?s release isn?t ?going to change the situation? of violence against children, I think her second statement is truly ignorant: ?This all comes from fear and ignorance, and people not really raising their children, or not paying attention to what’s going on.? I think that?s an awful thing to say. Maybe in Madonna?s mind, she?s trying to make a pointed comment about the shooters, the perpetrators of these crimes, but it also sounds like she?s blaming the parents of the victims too. Like, if the parents of the Sandy Hook children had simply been BETTER PARENTS, their children wouldn?t have died. Which is bullsh-t, and offensive as hell. It?s Serena Williams-level victim blaming too ? regardless of what kind of parents a child has, EVERY CHILD has the fundamental right to go to school and not be slaughtered in their classroom.
