Stepping out for a night on the red carpet, Katherine Heigl was among the early arrivals at the 2010 Country Music Awards on Wednesday (November 10).
The ?27 Dresses? actress looked gorgeous as she sauntered down the red carpet at Bridgestone Arena, stopping along the way to share a tender moment with husband Josh Kelley.
Set to take the stage during the show for performances are a bevy of bog names including Gywneth Paltrow, Taylor Swift, Sheryl Crow, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban, just to name a few.
Meanwhile, the show is once again being co-hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood - marking the third year-in-a-row the duo have helmed the growingly popular country showcase.

I?m not sure I have the words to respond to Katherine Heigl?s December cover for W Magazine. Um? err?is it bad? W Magazine has had a new editor for the past few months (thus, that dumb Kim Kardashian cover), but it feels like they?re trying to make the magazine like Vanity Fair now. This has a very ?Demi Moore shot by Annie Leibovitz? feel to it. That being said, I think Naleigh is gorgeous and precious and lovely, and NOT JUST because she?s raising her beautifully chubby little arm in a mock-triumphant pose of ?Behold, my mother, The A–hole.? And Hegel is all ?Yup, I?m an a–hole, but my baby is really cute, y?all? pose. Here are a couple of interview excerpts:
Katherine Heigl posed with her gorgeous adopted baby daughter Naleigh for the cover of W magazine?s ?The Family Issue.?
Katherine says she adopted Naleigh, who was born in Korea with a congenital heart problem that was corrected through surgery, just ?three or four days? before she starting filming ?Life As We Know It.?
?I was about to play a woman who inherits a baby, and I was experiencing the exact same thing,? she said.
Inside the magazine she also poses with more of her family, including mom Nancy and sister Meg.
?My sister is Korean,? Katherine said. ?I hope one day she and Naleigh will be able to talk about what it?s like to be adopted.?
The actress says there was ?no way in hell? she was going to get rid of her six dogs before Naleigh arrived ? and is happy she didn?t.
?Naleigh loves them,? she said. ?Sometimes it reminds me of The Jungle Book. I?m like, ?Oh my God ? she?s being raised by animals!?.?

?No way in hell? she would get rid of her dogs? Jesus, Heigl even makes being an animal lover sound bitchy and sanctimonious. I mean, I get the love for dogs, and I probably wouldn?t get rid of my puppy either. But I also wouldn?t stridently announce that there is ?no way in hell? that I would change anything for a baby.
Also: I really think Heigl is taking my advice - she?s just taking about the baby in interviews, and keeping her mouth shut about other stuff.

Enjoying the holiday weekend, Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley were spotted out at a Halloween party in Los Feliz, California last night (October 31).
Joined by their adorable daughter Naleigh, the famous pair took turns carrying a candy bucket as they made their way past the paparazzi.
In career news, Katherine has signed on to star in a period romantic drama titled ?Adaline,? set to be produced by Summit Entertainment.
Production is slated for March 2011 and the film will be about a young woman who doesn?t age and finds herself falling in love.

Her little girl is growing up oh-so-fast, and Katherine Heigl was spotted enjoying a little mother/daughter time in Los Feliz, California on Wednesday (October 27).
The ?Life As We Know It? babe and Naleigh walked along carefully holding hands as they made their way out of a public library just after a children?s event.
Yesterday, Heigl had some time to herself and made her way around Los Angeles to get caught up on some personal errands.
After lunching with her mother, Nancy, Katherine hit up an arts and crafts store followed by a supplies store before gassing up the family ride and heading back to the homefront.

Stepping out for a promotional appearance, Katherine Heigl was spotted at the ?Jimmy Kimmel Live? studios in Hollywood last night (October 14).
The ?Knocked Up? actress was in the house to promote her new movie ?Life As We Know It,? though she ended up talking about her recent bizarre run-in with her neighbor.
Heigl shared that she and her husband Josh Kelley were having a few drinks in their hot tub when the guy who lives behind them began shouting at them to take their party inside.
?It was a quiet hangout in our hot tub. And I wore my most scantily-whatever bikini which I would never wear publicly? it was totally PG? We were just talking and hanging out and enjoying each other.?
?I called my security and was like, ?He?s at it again, screaming at us.? So [my security guard] called the cops and they went over and talk to [my neighbor] and then came and talked to us. But by the time they got to us, we were a couple cocktails in.?

Police were called to Katherine Heigl’s house last night following a verbal altercation with a neighbor. Heigl and her husband, Josh Kelley, were reportedly in the hot tub when the neighbor started loudly swearing at them over the fence to keep the noise down. Their security guard called the cops and when they got there Kelly answered the door in some long swimming trunks. Heigl came a few minutes later in a bikini, with her husband trying to get her to go inside while she insisted on staying and talking to the cops. Both Radar Online and TMZ have video of these two talking to the cops in their swimwear.
Maybe I’m being too skeptical, but it seems convenient for Heigl to have a bikini-police photo op right when she has a new film out. (That’s underperforming at the box office.) This would be too elaborate a stunt to set up, but it seems strange to me that she didn’t throw something else on before talking to the police and that there were photographers there to catch the whole thing on video. That said, it looks realistic in that you can see Heigl get pissy and give Josh a nasty look when he tells her leave. Then she starts to take over the conversation and gets animated. They seem to notice the paparazzi a moment later and all go inside.
Radar reports that these two were seen buying wine earlier in the day. Is anyone else wondering if they were getting it on in the hot tub? Probably not. The neighbor was probably just sick of hearing Heigl’s loud nasally voice lecturing her husband.
Heigl looks great in a bikini and her husband is surprisingly hot. I never realized that she had giant fake boobs! She usually covers them up. Is it possible those are natural? I’m thinking they’re not, but I could be wrong.

Getting to spend the day together as a family, Katherine Heigl, Josh Kelley and Naleigh were spotted out and about in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday (October 12).
With her coffee mug in hand, the ?Life As We Know It? star smiled as she walked alongside her musician hubby who carried their adorable baby girl.
In other news, after recently kicking her smoking habit, Heigl is now concentrating on not swearing for the sake of their adopted child.
She told the Daily Star, ?It's a big problem. My husband's been on my case. I have a bit of a truck [or] sailor [mouth]... It's been pretty bad since I was little and I picked it up from my parents.?

Spending the evening out at the movies, Katherine Heigl was spotted leaving the Arclight Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, California on Friday night (October 8).
Surely checking out her just-released flick, "Life As We Know It," the former "Grey's Anatomy" actress was joined by her mother Nancy, along with a handful of fellow family members and friends.
The night out comes as Miss Heigl's new movie battles it out for the top spot at the box office with Justin Timberlake's Facebook movie "The Social Network" and Diane Lane's horse racing adventure flick "Secretariat".
The three movies all look to land somewhere around $15 million at weekend's end, with the close figures making a winner to tough to predict.

I?ve been shocked by the many, many television ads for Katherine Heigl?s new film, Life As We Know It. It looks like a pretty generic romance/baby comedy, and it looks crazy stupid. But Katherine is trying to regain that ?The Next America?s Sweetheart? mantle that she tossed away with her big mouth and bitchy attitude. This is the new and improved Dame Heigl! She loves babies. That?s pretty much it. The only difference between the old, nasty, unprofessional Heigl and the new Heigl is that the new one is all about her baby. Below are Us Weekly?s excerpts from Katherine?s November cover profile for Redbook (Redbook?s excerpts here), and you can see that the old nastiness is still fighting to get out:
One of Katherine Heigl’s many surprises of parenthood? Watching her husband Josh Kelley become a hands-on dad to adopted daughter Naleigh, 22 months.
“He’s a great dad. I didn’t expect it,” Heigl, 31, admits of singer Kelley, 30, in the November issue of Redbook magazine.
“He’s such a guy,” the Life As We Know It star explains of her spouse of nearly three years. “I adore him, I can’t imagine being with another man, but he can be very self-absorbed.”
Ouch! Heigl clarifies: “Not in an egomaniacal way, just kind of in his own head and unfocused on anything other than his own stuff. So I was really surprised by how on top of it and how connected he is.”
As for baby number two, the couple may indeed adopt again. “We still talk about having biological children as well. I’m not ruling anything out,” she says. But, she explains, “adoption has been a part of my life and a part of my family, so it was how I wanted to start.”
(Before the actress was born, her parents adopted her older sister Meg in South Korea — Naleigh’s native country.)
Naleigh’s adoption came through just as Heigl began filming Life As We Know It with Josh Duhamel. The time was “a complete blur,” she says. “I had just become a mom….I was all over the place. I was really trying too hard. I was completely bonkers.”
“If I spread myself too thin,” she adds, “I’m not a good actor, I’m not a good mother, and I’m just really high-strung-?and everybody hates me.”

Yes, Joshua is the self-absorbed one. Right. That?s why Katherine seems to signal in every interview, ?IT?S ALL ABOUT ME!!!? Poor Joshua. I always feel like that guy deserves a medal. At least Katherine acknowledges that ?everybody hates? her. Except that it feels like she?s just saying that so we?ll say ?Oh, no, not EVERYBODY.? And no one does. Because we?re all thinking, ?Yeah, she nailed that one.?
Also - a few days ago, Evil Beet covered Dame Heigl?s recent New York Times interview, and it?s the same kind of self-pitying, ?everybody hates me? stuff. Evil Beet points out that in Katherine?s mind, she shouldn?t get labeled as an unprofessional bitch because she?s ?just being honest? and she?s ?forthright in her opinions.? Does she really not see it? We get that Dame Heigl is being honest and that those are her honest opinions. And we think that she?s honestly an ungrateful, unprofessional bitch.

Her time on ?Grey?s Anatomy? ended back in January, and Katherine Heigl admits that it has been difficult letting go of her character, Izzie.
The blonde beauty attended the premiere of her latest film ?Life As We Know It? in New York City last night (September 30) and dished to MTV News, "That chapter is closed, and it's sad. And it's hard."
When asked if Izzie would ever make a return to the show, Heigl told, "I can't think of any way that she could come back gracefully that wouldn't just feel manipulative. And, it's hard, because I really wonder what she's doing and where she is and what happened, but that is over for me now."
And, of her onscreen romance with Justin Chambers, who plays Alex, Katherine admitted, "Justin Chambers is one of the most amazing men, and certainly a spectacular actor. I feel oddly attached to him, and the character and my character being together. It just seems what's supposed to be, but you can't have it all."
