I wasn?t even going to report on any of the press Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds are doing for their film The Proposal. The film looks terrible, it will probably crash and burn, and Ryan and Sandra are out there saying whatever they can to get press for it. But this interview they did with People Magazine was just annoying.
Apparently, Sandra and her husband Jesse James are very close to Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson. Which is fine. I now know this because Sandra and Ryan talked about their marriages and how close they are? to People Magazine. But then there was this little piece of cognitive dissonance. Ryan is trying to praise Sandra for keeping stuff about her marriage out of the press, and he says ?I love that your marriage ? and forgive the ineloquence here ? is not for sale.? And then Sandra replies, ?We’re very similar in that way.? They say to People Magazine. If it?s not for sale, why are you talking about your marriage to promote your film?
You’ve known each other for a while. How has fame changed Ryan?
Bullock: The person I met years ago [through a friend] is the same person sitting next to me now. No change in the humility, talent, kindness. He could’ve become an ass—-. But not a damn thing has changed, other than that his bikes get more expensive.
Reynolds: I think you have to start that way. Fame only amplifies a certain disposition.
Bullock: I agree. Unless you’re a child in the industry and that’s all you know. That’s a sad, sad thing.
Reynolds: There’s nothing worse than hearing a 6-year-old demand Voss water. I’ve seen it.
You and Jesse and Scarlett are all close. Why do you get along so well?
Reynolds: [To Bullock] I love that your marriage ? and forgive the ineloquence here ? is not for sale.
Bullock: We’re very similar in that way. There’s an honor and a level of integrity that exists in their home that I really admire … [To Reynolds] I’m just happy you found a good human being. They both take excellent care of each other and they’re honorable, beautiful people.
Speaking of beauty, you two are quite naked in that one scene. How was it to film?
Bullock: I’d never done one before. [To Reynolds] You?
Reynolds: I’ve done a couple where I’ve … yeah, a little bit.
Bullock: Were they like sex scenes?
Reynolds: I don’t think I’ve ever done one that wasn’t supposed to be funny.
It’s not just a nude scene. You’re literally smushed up against each other.
Reynolds: Yeah ? nudity and stunts. Not usually synonymous.
Comfort level aside, you’d cover up between takes, right?
Reynolds: I wasn’t grazing at the snack bar without pants.
Bullock: Next to [costar] Betty White.
Reynolds: Yeah, I didn’t go have lunch with Betty.
[From People]
Personally, I don?t really care who talks about their marriage or their kids in the press. There?s a ?too much information? line that can be crossed, for sure, but most of the time I get more enjoyment out of hearing about someone?s marriage or their family than whatever boring story about making the film. Here?s what I can?t stand - when someone smugly proclaims that they won?t talk about their marriage or family when there?s a mountain of evidence of the celebrity doing just that. Remember Sandra Bullock?s 2006 Vanity Fair interview where she talked about Jesse? Or how about every time she?s promoted a film since she?s been married? Once again, that?s fine. It?s the smug ?my marriage is not for sale? line that annoys me.

Scarlett Johansson may soon head back to the recording studio, according to Daily NewsThe star went bold with her first album “Anywhere I Lay My Head,” choosing to cover a collection of Tom Waits songs and winning more interest for that nervy choice than for her wispy vocals. That album hit stores in May and topped out at slot 126 on the Billboard 200 list. Now the actress, 23, tells Us Weekly she’d “love to do another album.”Scarlett Johansson, who recently married actor Ryan Reynolds, said for her second go she would record original songs.“I don’t think I’d do covers, so it’d be a project that I have to dedicate myself to,” she said.

Scarlett Johansson also showed up for the premiere of The Spirit and while her, um, personality wasn’t as impressive as Paz Vega’s, she held her own.
I asked Ryan Reynolds his thoughts on me banging his girlfriend and he told me to go for it. Okay. I lied. I asked the cardboard cut out of him I keep in my room. And he didn’t tell me to go for it. He just stared back at me with his piercing eyes and chiseled abs and I could swear he winked at me. Ryan Reynolds winked at me. Oh glorious day! I’m all yours Ryan.

| Cosmopolitan Magazine fabricates Scarlett Johansson interview | Added 16 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Scarlett Johansson is on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine in Britain, with an accompanying interview in which she talks about her relationship with husband Ryan Reynolds. The only problem is that Scarlet’s quotes are completely fabricated, according to her rep.
On married life:
“This is a very beautiful time for me. Getting married is a huge moment in anyone’s life, and the few months leading up to it were a little crazy.”
“But Ryan and I are in love, and we’re enjoying evolving our relationship together. I feel that my life and my work are heading in the right direction.”
On meeting the right man:
“It’s either they don’t want to commit or put in the effort, or they’re too involved in their own thing,” she says. “You don’t always meet the right person at the right time, and I think it’s important for people to figure out their own lives before involving someone else - to gauge where you are and work on your own issues.”
On romance:
Reynolds, she says, “has a very romantic side. We both enjoy remembering little things that made us happy - for me, that’s what romance is all about.
“My mom is a romantic person, and I think I inherited it from her,” she continues. “She’s very thoughtful and taught me there are many different ways you can be romantic.”
The most romantic love, Johnasson adds, “is seeing people who’ve been together, or who’ve known each other, for a long time - like two best friends, or a husband and wife who’ve been together for 50 years, and are still so excited to see that person come home.
“It might be rare,” she points out, “but that’s the most romantic kind of love.”

Turns out, that is a big fat lie, and Cosmopolitan made up the entire interview. Scarlett did not break her infamous silence about her relationship, or even give an interview to the magazine.
Her publicist has now slammed the magazine, insisting journalists were not granted an interview with the star and that the article’s context is completely false, according to E! News.
A statement released by the actress’ spokesperson says, “(The article is an) obvious attempt… to gain monetarily by misinforming their readers.
“(Johansson) has at no point granted U.K. Cosmopolitan an interview, and she has never discussed her personal relationships with the publication.”
The representative also refers to an interview the star did undertake with the magazine’s U.S. counterpart in September (08), in which she spoke of her intentions to keep her personal life private.
Johansson told America’s Cosmopolitan, “I hate feeling like I have to share my personal life with anybody. So I’ll take the normal celebrity route and just say I’m going to keep my personal life private.”
The spokesperson adds, “Ms. Johansson, who goes to great lengths to preserve an authentic representation of herself with respect to her fans and the media, is disappointed to see a seemingly reputable publication inexplicably publish a work of fiction at her expense.”

Cosmopolitan is obviously using this interview and cover photo to sell more magazines, as Scarlett?s rep mentions. During these hard financial times magazines are one of the first things people stop buying to save money. Obviously Scarlett?s cleavage isn?t going to sell that many copies of Cosmo (FHM might be more successful with her) and they felt the need to use her marriage to shift their product.
This isn?t the first time Cosmopolitan has made a mistake of these proportions. In November the Australian version featured a cover story about how fabulous Britney Spears is looking lately, but used a photo of her from a 2003 Esquire photo shoot.
Fabricating these stories take a huge amount of credibility away from the magazines, and when they are found out I?m sure it will affect sales in a negative way. It also implies that the featured celebrities are not interesting enough in their own right.
Scarlett?s rep says that legal action will be taken against the magazine.
