Even more Jessica Simpson stuff! I know, I know. But she?s so easy to talk about and write about. Anyway, Jess was on Jimmy Fallon last night, and she said something that kind of amused me. According to Jess, Eric Johnson is the kind of dude who goes to see ?healers?. Hand. To. God. So, Eric went to see a ?healer? and this dude told Eric that he needed to be healthier - that he needs to become a vegan. As you can imagine, Jessica in all of her Texan glory is struggling to understand what this mysterious ?Tofurkey? is. Or, as Jess says, ?It’s gonna be jiggly and weird.” Pot, kettle.
This Thanksgiving will be full of firsts for Jessica Simpson: her first with fianc Eric Johnson, her first in New York, and her first with a tofu turkey.
“After getting out of the NFL, [Eric] went to this healer and is very healthy,” Simpson, 30, told Jimmy Fallon of her vegan husband-to-be. “For Thanksgiving we have to make a Tofurkey! It doesn’t sound right! It’s gonna be jiggly and weird.”
And while the singer, who just released her Christmas album, acknowledges that “when [Johnson] cooks vegan, it’s good,” she also admits that she comes from a very different background.
“I’m from Texas ? I’d fry a steak,” she laughed. “We eat all casseroles and giblets!”
Dietary preferences aside, Simpson said she’s “very, very happy” in her relationship, and that Johnson proposed to her in the spot they met: her home.

Poor Jess. I?ve known and loved vegans in my life, and I wouldn?t wish a vegan Thanksgiving on anyone. The Tofurky is fine (not really), but what I would really miss is the ham. Sweet, delicious ham. Mmm?
By the way, these photos are of Jessica and Eric last night - I guess they were going out to dinner? I hate Jessica?s puffy black jacket. It?s very unflattering. And I still don?t know why their body language is still so awkward. Why can?t they just hold hands? Why does Eric have to crook his arm so it?s like every day is Jessica?s debutante ball?

Continuing her schedule of media appearances, Jessica Simpson was spotted at SIRIUS XM Studios in New York City today (November 23).
The ?With You? singer looked lovely in a black ensemble as she posed for pictures and chatted on the air in support of her new holiday album.
Earlier this week on the ?Early Show? Jess recalled a Christmas memory from her childhood involving her sister Ashlee Simpson.
"Me and my sister would always sleep together in the same room when Santa came. I just always remember ... both of us were up probably before [my parents] probably wanted to get up. And then we would fight about who gets what."

Kicking off her morning with a promotional appearance, Jessica Simpson was spotted leaving her hotel in New York City today (November 23).
The ?Come On Over? songstress looked to be in good spirits as she strolled past the paparazzi en route to a ?Live with Regis and Kelly? taping, stopping for a moment to pose alongside a lucky fan.
And despite the rampant rumors, Jessica?s recent engagement is not the result of her getting knocked up by fianc Eric Johnson.
A source close to the Simpson family declared, ?She?s not pregnant.? Jess sparked some baby rumors when she said she had the flu during an interview on ?The Early Show? yesterday.

Yes, even though she?s looking? um? heavier, and even though she told The Early Show that she spent the morning praying to the porcelain gods, Jessica wants us to know that this wedding and this ring are not about some shotgun BS. Jessica Simpson is going to become a bride — but not a mom, at least not yet!
A source close to the newly engaged singer tells UsMagazine.com, “She’s not pregnant.”
Simpson, 30, provoked fresh speculation about a potential baby during a Monday appearance on CBS’ The Early Show.
Talking to CBS’ Harry Smith about catching the flu, she admitted to throwing up moments earlier. “I’ve had better mornings, I have to admit…I won’t let you smell my breath.”
Explains the insider: “She was just sick.”
Promoting her new Christmas album, Simpson, her parents and brand-new fiance Eric Johnson are spending their first Thanksgiving in NYC.
She told Smith about being “shocked” by Johnson’s Nov. 11 proposal. “I didn’t even try the ring on until 5 minutes in,” she explained of the $150,000 bauble. “I just sat there and cried with [Eric].”
On Thursday, the engaged couple celebrated their engagement with about 50 friends and family and her parents’ California home. “They were very happy,” a Simpson pal told Us.

Sure. I?ll buy that Jessica isn?t pregnant right now, and that she?s just gained a few pounds, plus her travel/daily wardrobe isn?t very flattering. Plus, she?s sick and maybe her glands are swollen, and that?s why her face looks kind of puffy. Saved from the specter of a lifetime of spinsterhood, Jessica Simpson confesses that she couldn’t stop blubbering after new fiance Eric Johnson proposed. Says Digital Spy,
In an interview with CBS’s The Early Show, the star admitted that her first reaction to the marriage offer was one of “total surprise”.
“I had to sit on his knee [because] I was shocked,” she said.
The star continued: “I first said ‘Yes’? I didn’t even try the ring on until five minutes in. I just sat there and cried with him.”
Simpson revealed that Johnson asked her parents for permission to propose and expressed happiness that he selected a ruby-adorned engagement ring.
She also praised her beau as “the best man in my life”.
The singer concluded: “He is just really thoughtful. Keeps me very centred. He makes me feel like my feet are on the ground.”
It was recently reported that Simpson and Johnson may be planning to wed before Christmas.
Yes, total surprise. I’m sure Jessica never hinted at it. She’s not the kind to take a man by the window of a jewelry store and ooh and ahh over the rings. Nope. Not Jessica. In fact, I bet her face looked a lot like this.

Well, I?ve stooped to a new level of C-U-Next-Tuesday-ness, because as I was reading Us Weekly?s coverage of Jessica Simpson?s appearance on the Early Show, I laughed out loud, and I haven?t been able to stop giggling yet. Remember how Jessica was demanding that the wait staff at her engagement party tell her how cute her budget engagement ring is? Yeah? Jessica said that when Eric proposed and she saw the ring, she burst into tears. TEARS OF JOY. Here?s the line that is making me laugh so much: ?I first said ‘Yes!’. I didn’t even try the ring on until 5 minutes in. I just sat there and cried with him.” OMG! Can?t you just see it?!? Jessica takes one look at the ring and she starts crying and Eric starts crying and Jessica is like ?Oh, I guess I should try it on, maybe.? She should have pretended that it didn?t fit, and then gently suggest that they go out and get another ring.

The ?With You? songstress looked a bit on the groggy side as she made her departure, sporting a warm black wool coat to chase away the Manhattan chill.
During her interview, Jessica chatted about her romantic proposal from fianc Eric Johnson and her unconventional engagement ring.
"I had to sit on his knee I was shocked?to really get what was happening. I first said 'Yes!' I didn't even try the ring on until 5 minutes in. I just sat there and cried with him."

Landing back on the East Coast, Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson were spotted arriving in New York City yesterday (November 21).
The ?Come On Over? songstress and her hunky fianc looked happy as they made their way past the paparazzi, readying for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.
Curiously enough, Jess didn?t seem to want anyone to see her ruby engagement ring, as she kept her hand insider her sweater sleeve. It is rumored that she?s not a big fan of the ring.
The trip back east comes after a swanky engagement party at Jessica?s parents? Encino, California estate last Thursday (November 18).
During the shindig, Jess seemed less-than-thrilled about her ring. "At one point, she asked one of the servers what she thought of the ring. When the server said it was beautiful, Jessica snapped, 'You don't mean that!'? said an eyewitness.
