Breaking her diva reputation, Jessica Simpson recently showed some serious love to her waitress while dining out at Lavo.
This past Thursday (January 6), the ?Come On Over? babe was joined by her mother Tina, her assistant and two other friends for a delicious meal.
And when the $500 check came, Ms. Simpson left her waitress a $300 tip- that?s a 60% bonus!
Additionally, Jessica left a note to encourage the worker, saying, ?You were amazing and make this world a better place. Love, Jess.?

Above is a very interesting Twit-pic photo of Jessica Simpson, courtesy of her publicist?s Twitter account. Apparently, Jessica was taking part of some kind of ?top secret? magazine photo shoot? and if it?s ?top secret? I?ve got to wonder if Jess is maybe getting another Vanity Fair cover? God, I hope not. She didn?t deserve the first one. Maybe the photo shoot is just for a fashion magazine or something. Hopefully.
Jessica also flew into New York over the weekend. ALONE! Her official purse-holder/fianc wasn?t around, or at least he wasn?t photographed with her at all. Why is that, I wonder? Perhaps because Jessica actually had to take care of some work for her clothing line. The photos (below) from Jessica?s arrival at JFK are especially hilarious - she?s laughing/guffawing at something or someone. Ridiculous. One last thing - Jessica is a good tipper! According to a recent report, while she was dining with her mom, her assistant and two friends at New York restaurant Lavo, Jessica tipped 60% on a $500 bill. She also left an inspiration message for her waitress: ?You were amazing and make this world a better place, Love Jess.” Guess what she had at Lavo? ?She ordered Macallan 18-year-old single-malt Scotch whisky, which she drank with ice and paired with an unusual dish of fried Oreo cookies as well as a veal parmigiano.? Oh, Jessica. Never change.

Just so everyone doesn?t start yelling at me right away, let me just say a few things at the beginning. I do think Jessica Simpson is a very pretty girl. She is even what I would call a ?natural beauty? - I find she looks lovelier with little to no makeup or her usual drag queen styling. I also don?t judge Jessica for her weight fluctuations. Millions of women struggle with their weight, and Jessica might just be one of our patron saints. My judgments on Jessica are now and have always been on her general stupidity (which makes her relatively harmless, although very funny) and her consistently tacky, awful, unflattering styling. She?s a short girl with a huge rack and lots of food issues - and she?s also ?the head? of a billion-dollar fashion line. Surely, it?s not THAT difficult for her to find flattering styles?
Anyway, on to the story - The Enquirer reports in this week?s issue that Jessica wants to become a spokeswoman for a major weight loss company, like Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig. I think it?s not a terrible idea, although Jessica seems to gain and lose weight more rapidly than the average woman, and I don?t see why it has to be all ?ZOMG, get Jenny Craig? when Jessica should just go the gym more often (and stop guzzling cocktails).
Jessica Simpson is lining up a new weapon in her ongoing battle of the bulge - the blonde beauty has set her sights on an endorsement deal with a major weight-loss company. Jessica, who has been adding weight in recent months, packed on another 10 pounds over the holidays. She?s now up to about 140 pounds, says a source close to her, and Jessica wants to follow in the footsteps of Valerie Bertinelli and Jennifer Hudson, who transformed their bodies while becoming diet spokespersons.
?Jessica?s convinced that becoming an endorser for a company like Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers or Slim-Fast is her ticket to success,? an insider told The Enquirer. Hooking up with a respected diet program would be ?a win-win situation for Jessica,? the insider explained. ?Jessica wants to look her best and slimmest in her wedding gown later this year, and she desperately needs a career boost.?
The source added: ?Jessica loves inspiring women, and she thinks working for a weight-loss and diet company would help reconnect her with her core audience.?

Honey child, who is this ?core audience? you speak of? Fans of Daisy Dukes? Jessica is not my inspiration, in any way, shape or form, but if she does end up signing onto a weight loss program, I would admire her courage. Usually, it isn?t the pretty girls on the cover of Us Weekly who end up with a Jenny Craig endorsement, you know? If Jessica does do it, it?s ballsy, and it could be a smart move.
Of course, if she does do it, she?ll probably mess it up somehow. When you sign on for these endorsement deals, do you have to give the money back if you inhale an entire ham in one sitting?

Having flown into town just last night, Jessica Simpson was spotted exiting her hotel in New York City on Wednesday morning (January 5).
Toting a leopard print bag and wearing a big smile on her face, the "Dukes of Hazzard" darling eased her way out to an awaiting car while being greeted by a crowd of gathered onlookers.
The Big Apple visit comes after Jess enjoyed a romantic holiday getaway with fiance Eric Johnson in Aspen, CO.
Talking about how elated she's been since finding her latest love, Jess's dad, Joe Simpson, said, "This is the happiest she's been in her entire life. She is in love and I know she will have so many love songs to write straight from the heart for her new record."

One thing I?ll give Jessica Simpson - the girl doesn?t need makeup. She has lovely skin, and I tend to think she looks really, really pretty when she?s not all made up. These are photos of Jessica at JFK airport in New York. There weren?t any photos of Eric, but I doubt she was traveling alone. Love means being shuffled around like a child - at least for Jessica. Plus, Jessica hasn?t gone anywhere without Eric lately. And it?s not like he has a lot going on, either. They spent New Year?s in Aspen, and now they?re returning to New York? perhaps to make some wedding arrangements?

It?s no secret Jessica Simpson, 30, is head-over-heels in love with her former NFL player fiance Eric Johnson. The two, who made a love connection this past summer, have moved at warped speed, quickly getting engaged and letting the world know they are totally devoted to one another. Even though the pair are totally in love, wedding planning hasn?t gone into full effect. This doesn?t mean Jessica hasn?t already started throwing out a ton of ideas for her walk down the aisle.
?They are keeping it under wraps, but Jessica will get everything she wants out of this wedding,? our source said. ?She wants this to be her last and truly believes that Eric is the one! He thinks the same about her.?
Let?s hope that?s true for Jessica?s sake! She?s carried the ?unlucky in love? label for a while now, and her new fianc already has one failed marriage under his belt. But if Eric?s friend is to be believed, there?s nothing but smooth sailing ahead for the couple who are not only in a honeymoon phase but a ?honeymoon institution.?

Do I believe they are in love? Eh. I think Jessica is in love, definitely. I think she falls in love fast and hard, and she will pretty much give her love to anyone and everyone who gives her the time of day. As far as Eric?s feelings for her. Well? he?s stayed with her so far, you know? He hasn?t been scared off by her stupidity, her need to one-up her ex-husband, her ham fetish, her drinking, or those unfortunate reindeer leggings. Maybe he loves her too. Or maybe he?s a golddigger. Advice for Jess: hope for the best, prepare for the worst. Get that prenup, and make sure it?s ironclad. Then enjoy your man - you paid for him.
Also, I still don?t have a clue as to why Jessica continues to carry around what looks like a cheap black faux fur rug. Is it her security blanket? WTF?

Here is the fashion industry?s billion-dollar baby, Jessica Simpson, and her paid escort Eric Johnson in Aspen on New Year?s Eve. Don?t ask me what Jessica is wearing. I mean, I get that it?s really cold in Aspen and that Jessica?s center of gravity is off because of some weight gain (thus, the boots), but there is absolutely no excuse for those leggings. There?s no excuse for the entire outfit combination, but the leggings in and of themselves make me wonder if Jessica should perhaps be institutionalized. Surely, she?s trying to look bad, right?
Anyway, it looks like I was wrong. It looks like Nick Lachey?s Jedi mind trick didn?t work. Jessica Simpson did not get married on 1/1/11. Instead of getting hitched, they spent New Year?s Eve at some kind of dinner, which probably involved the consumption of a whole lobster, a ham, and an entire bottle of Jack Daniels.

Making for quite the momentous past year, Jessica Simpson and fiance Eric Johnson were out strolling the streets of Aspen, Colorado on Friday afternoon (December 31).
The recently engaged pair enjoyed their last moments of 2010 together, as the twosome walked hand in hand while bundled up for the Rocky mountain winter weather.
Clearly elated to have found another special someone, Jess tweeted earlier this week, "I'm so grateful this holiday season! Eric is the perfect addition to our family. We all stayed at my parents on Christmas Eve. We are lucky to have three new studs in the fam: Pete, BX, and EJ!"
Having arrived in Aspen this past weekend, a source catching a glimpse of the couple told Us magazine, "She was in a good mood and seemed eager to shop. She walked straight over to Fendi where she spent a long time trying on coats and looking at bags."

Don?t ask me what Jessica Simpson is doing in these photos. I have no idea. I don?t know why she?s dressed like a goth hobo, and I have no idea what that thing is on her head, and I have no idea what she?s doing in Aspen. She?s apparently there with Eric Johnson. Poor dude. That?s what I think when I see him, although I actually feel sorry for both of them. I feel sorry for Jessica because she thinks she?s won some kind of prize with this guy, and I feel sorry for Eric because it must be embarrassing to date her. I?m not trying to be horrible, I?m really not. Jessica may be very sweet, and a very nice (and stupid) person. But she?s embarrassing.
Anyway, Star Magazine?s cover story this week is about how Jessica is a ?homewrecker?. The tabloids have been trying to make this ?Jessica home wrecked Eric?s marriage? story happen for a while, and while I will accuse Jessica of all kinds of things, I don?t really think this accusation is fair. Eric was separated from his wife when he and Jessica began dating, and he and estranged wife had some kind of quickie divorce when he and Jessica became more serious. Is it poorly timed? Yes. Is it sketchy? Sure. But Jessica thought she was starting something with a free agent, and I think she was. BUT - Star has ?proof? that there?s more to the story:
Eric and Jessica first met in 2009 - not only was he still married at the time, but Star has learned exclusively that Eric?s wife was by his side on that fateful night when he first locked eyes with the bodacious blonde! That didn?t stop Jessica from pursuing a relationship behind the scenes with Eric shortly after he and his wife, Keri Johnson, agreed to ?take a break? to try to fix a rough patch in their four-and-a-half year marriage, a friend tells Star.
?Keri told me, ?I always hoped Eric and I could iron out our problems and make it work for good. Then I started hearing rumors that he and Jessica were spending time together!? It was like a cold, hard slap in the face - and it?s really difficult for anyone close to Keri to see Jessica as anything but a man-stealer!?

Those are the basics, although Star Mag fills another two pages with the same stuff, rehashed in different ways. Jessica and Eric first met when he and his wife were fine, then Eric and Keri separated, and Eric and Jessica began seeing each other. Oh, and they make a big deal about how Jessica claimed in a recent interview that she had never met Keri, which Keri?s ?friends? are quick to jump on as LIE that proves everything, I guess. Maybe Keri really did think she and Eric were going to get back together, BUT they really were separated at the time. Whatever. Actually, I find the most interesting piece of news in the story is that Keri told friends that Eric was ?plain out of money? towards the end of their marriage. Now THAT I?ll believe. Lucky for him, he found a rich, ditzy blonde full of raging need.
