Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson got engaged over 10 months ago. The wedding was to happen soon but now it’s been postponed indefinitely. Sources attribute this to Jessica being indecisive and unable to make a decision while others say it goes far deeper than that.
“Everything is up in the air,” a source tells Us. “She can’t figure out what kind of day she wants. Some days she wants a big wedding in Hawaii, then other days she wants something closer to home.”
But some of the 30-year-old singer’s friends fear the delay is due to more than just venue indecision. “She was so gung ho about planning their wedding, and now she’s gone dark,” says a pal. “She won’t commit to a date.” Us Magazine
I’d like to think the hold up is because she’s still trying to milk PEOPLE, OK!, Star or Us Weekly for more money. Sadly that doesn’t seem likely. Jessica Simpson is just not relevant anymore. She’ll be lucky if her wedding spread is in front of the ad for free seahorses. But the good news for the mags who still want her on the cover is she’ll take Krispy Kreme in lieu of money.

Putting some recent rumors to bed once and for all, Jessica Simpson took to Twitter to set the record straight on claims that she underwent a breast surgery procedure.
Last week, tabloid reports claimed that the ?Come On Over? singer was planning a breast reduction ahead of her upcoming nuptials to former NFL player Eric Johnson.
?Been getting lots of questions about this alleged breast reduction,? the blonde beauty tweeted.
?Not to worry?I LOVE MY BOOBIES!!,? she continued. ?They aren?t going anywhere!?
As far as her wedding date with Eric, Jess told, ?I can tell you one thing, not one person has nailed the date on the head. Noboby knows yet. Me, Eric and the wedding planner [only know].?

Everyone breathe a sigh of relief and wipe that sweat from your brow. Jessica Simpson is not getting a breast reduction.
Early this month, In Touch claimed Jessica Simpson was going to downsize her breasts to counteract the weight she put on. According to In Touch, Jessica believed a breast reduction would make her look smaller. A mildly believable story because Jessica is an imbecile.
Thankfully, it wasn’t true. Jessica went on Twitter to deny the rumor. “Been getting lots of questions about this alleged breast reduction?not to worry?I LOVE MY BOOBIES!! They aren?t going anywhere!” Whew. Because the only thing actually counteracting her weight gain were her expanding breasts. I’m glad to see the fat hasn’t gone to her head and constricted her brain.

For whatever reason, Jessica Simpson continues to make headlines for her upcoming wedding even though the date is still very much in question. In Touch recently published a story that Jessica was reportedly considering pushing back her wedding date because’s been gaining weight despite her adherence to the Tracy Anderson Method. Now, In Touch has added to the story with details that Jessica is so desperate to look thinner that she’s considering “drastic action,” i.e., smaller boobs:
Most women would kill for killer cleavage. But not Jessica Simpson. The singer is so distraught over her fuller-than-ever figure, she’s telling friends that she’s going under the knife. “She thinks that if she downsizes her breasts, she will look smaller,” a friend of Jessica’s tells In Touch.
The only question in Jessica’s mind, says the friend, is when. “She hasn’t decided if she’ll get it done before the wedding,” says the pal. “She wants to, but she fears being laid up for a week or more so close to the date.”
As In Touch has reported, Jessica and fianc Eric Johnson, 32, had asked friends and family to reserve November 11, but she’s reconsidering. “She’s in such limbo about what to do,” says the friend of Jessica, who another insider tells In Touch is terrified of being a “plus-size bride” (even though she’s not really even plus-size!). Says the insider: “Jessica wants to waltz down the aisle — not waddle.”
However, despite attempts to slim down, she’s heavier than ever. “Jessica used to never be able to resist looking in mirrors, but now she avoids them like the plague,” says the insider, who puts her current weight at the “wrong side of 140 pounds.”
Even a pre-wedding escape to Mexico (on August 25) did nothing to boost her spirits. Jessica, 31, who packed flowing caftans in place of sexy bikinis, “is at her wit’s end,” says the insider. “If the weight doesn’t come off soon, she might either call off her wedding or get surgery. She’s that desperate.” Predicts the friend, “If she does postpone, breast reduction is on her to-do list.”

Okay, I can sort of identify with Jessica here because not only do boobs physically add to a woman’s weight, but (if they’re big enough) they can sometimes also require going up a size or two on a dress, which is frustrating when it happens to say the very least. Still, Jessica can obviously afford professional alterations that would negate such a consideration. Otherwise, I don’t know what to think about this story because I cannot imagine why Jessica would voluntarily downsize two of her only claims to fame. Other than that, she carries around very large purses and claims to be a fashionista, and the world inexplicably indulges this latter facade in spades.
Also, boob reductions aren’t necessarily a permanent thing either — they can actually “grow” back (in rare cases) after a few years to their previous size. Creepy, right? Sort of like a Hydra monster.

It looks like there’s some “professional” rivalry between Jessica and Ashlee Simpson. The National Enquirer reports that they’re so at odds over some tween clothing line they’re working on launching together that they’re screaming at each other. Things are said to be so tense between them that Ashlee might not even go to Jessica’s wedding, whenever she’s having it. This whole story is pretty ripe considering how terribly they individually dress. Apparently Jessica’s tastes tend toward girly while Ashlee wants something closer to Avril Lavigne’s punk style. So ugly-frilly vs. ugly distressed look. Take your pick.
Jessica Simpson and her sister Ashlee… announced in June that they’re launching a joint tween clothing line, but sources say they’re now fighting like cats and dogs over it.
“Jessica and Ashlee are butting heads over the direction of the clothes,” an insider divulged.
“Jess prefers girly frills like lace and flowers. She leans more toward sexy dresses and low-cut tops. But Ashlee wants a more punk-rock look. She’s pushing for ripped jeans and neon t-shirts.
“Their disagreements have set off a virtual [war] with them screaming at each other in front of underlings…
“Jessica constantly throws her fashion success in Ashlee’s face,” the insider revealed.
“Ashlee also feels Jess wasn’t supportive after she split from husband Pete Wentz… She needed a shoulder to lean on and Jess was nowhere in sight.
“Now Ashlee is so angry with Jessica’s bossy ways that she’s threatening to boycott her wedding to Eric later this year,” said the source.

I always thought Ashlee and Jessica were tight, so this is surprising to me. Still, if you look at how they dress it’s easy to see that there’s no way they would be able to agree on styles for a joint fashion line. The photo above doesn’t really capture how stark their fashion differences are, so here are a few candids of them out separately recently. I think the common denominator here is “fug,” though. They definitely have that in common. Oh and animal prints.
Ashlee is friends with Nicky Hilton I guess. Who knew? Who cared?

She's all set to star on the small screen this Fall, so Jessica Simpson made sure to squeeze in a late summer getaway to energize ahead of her hectic promotional/work duties.
The "Dukes of Hazzard" darling looked vacation-ready in colorful frock while toting an orange leather handbag as she walked alongside fiance Eric Johnson upon arriving to the San Jose del Cabo International Airport in Mexico on Thursday evening (August 25).
As for her upcoming television gig, Miss Simpson will be joining Nicole Richie and John Varvatos as a celebrity mentor on the Elle Macpherson hosted NBC show "Fashion Star".
Jessica's wardrobe stylist, Nicole Chavez, recently told press that the starlet plans to get an added bonus from the new job - as she'll sport a number of pieces from her very own Jessica Simpson Collection.
Chavez says, that while she'll mix up her digs with different designers for runway scenes, Simpson will most often opt for looks straight from her line while on the show - wearing pieces from her own brand nearly 75 percent of the time.

The 31-year-old "With You" singer kept it casual for her week-ending liftoff, pairing a long white sweater with a loose black top and pants for her travels.

Fresh off of a date night at the Adele concert the previous evening, Jessica Simpson enjoyed another romantic outing with fiance Eric Johnson on Tuesday (August 16).
The engaged couple kicked things off with a trip to Houston's restaurant in Los Angeles before heading to nearby Century City to catch a matinee show.
The sighting comes as Miss SImpson once again fell victim to seemingly untrue rumors about her drinking, with Perez Hilton claiming that the "Dukes of Hazzard" darling had one to many at the Adele show.
Denying any such imbibing on the bottle, Jessica tweeted in response, "There are rumors that I was "drunk swaying" at the Adele concert last night. That wasn't drunk swaying, that was professional dancing!"
