These are some new photos of Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson out and about last night. Okay, I know I?ve been calling Eric a loser, and maybe he is, but I do like that he?s affectionate with Jess and I also kind of like that he?s not scared by her public declarations of love. Jess has had a string of boyfriends who didn?t even want to be seen in public with her, so Eric must be a nice change, and for that, I?m happy for her.
Meanwhile, Eric?s divorce was recently finalized, and so there have been lots of rumors going around that Jessica and Eric are already engaged, or about to be engaged. Gossip Cop shot that down:
?Jess? guy is buying a ring!? exclaims a headline in the latest In Touch Weekly.
The tab claims that Eric Johnson, who has just finalized his divorce from his first wife, is ?getting ready to pop the question? to Jessica Simpson.
According to a so-called friend of Johnson, the former NFL player has ?started shopping for an engagement ring, since he?s going to propose over Christmas ? if he can wait that long.?
The friend adds Simpson and Johnson have begun premarital counseling at a local Christian church, and are ?meeting with their minister as the next step.?
So, is the pop singer ready to settle down again? Not quite.
A source close to Simpson tells Gossip Cop that the couple is very happy, but ?there is no counseling going on,? and ?they are not rushing into anything.?

Well? I?ll buy that they aren?t engaged? for now. But I think it will happen. I think Eric is ?the one? - meaning he isn?t embarrassed to be seen with her, he seems fine with her being the one who works, and he doesn?t have enough of a personality to really be bothered by Jessica?s intellectual limitations. The One! I see a Christmas engagement.

Taking some time to sign a few autographs, Jessica Simpson was spotted out in New York City yesterday afternoon (October 19).
The ?Come on Over? songstress looked snazzy as she stopped to greet some fans, sporting a black coat, black boots, and black sunglasses.
According to a report, Ms. Simpson is being advised to drop her father/manager Joe Simpson in favor of a new, more industry-savvy agent.
A source leaked, ?Jess is really talented, it?s clear that what?s holding her career back is her father. Joe is impossible to work with and makes terrible decisions that poor Jessica has to put up with. Now, both music and movie people are telling her she needs to let him go.?
?But Jessica just can?t find it in her heart to let him go. She knows how much Joe loves being a manager. His entire identity is about being her manager, plus he has made a lot of money from her at the same time.?

They used to be seen everywhere together, but Jessica Simpson and her hairdresser/BFF Ken Paves seem to have gone their own directions.
During a recent interview, the celebrity hairstylist was asked if the ?Come On Over? songstress was still on his client list.
And Ken had a hard time answering- he replied, ?Yes, but no, but? That?s what led to the speculation. We?re both busy. I?ve been working on a lot of things that have kept me in town or traveling.?
But an inside source says that?s not the whole story. "Ken is sick of her cycle of dumping friends when she's with a guy. She smothers guys and they dump her. Then she goes back to Ken."

It’s always a bad sign when even your gay friends think you’re a smothering bitch and dump you. Welcome to another day in Jessica Simpson’s life. Says Digital Spy about her latest break-up:
Ken Paves has revealed that he is no longer working with Jessica Simpson.
The stylist told E News that he has not spent time with the singer for many months.
“We’re both busy,” he explained.
“[I've been] working on a lot of things that have kept me in town or travelling.”
However, a source said that the issue is more complicated than Paves has let on.
“Ken is sick of her cycle of dumping friends when she’s with a guy,” the insider explained.
“She smothers guys and they dump her. Then she goes back to Ken.”
I guess he got tired of her clinging tighter than a turd on my dog’s backside. Apparently even a gay hairdresser has a limit of how many times he can tell a blubbering slob, “Oh honey, it’s not your fault”, and “He just couldn’t handle how fabulous you are, sweetie!” Fortunately for me, my gay hairdresser hasn’t reached his limit.

About a month ago, the rumor mill started working overtime with gossip about Jessica Simpson and her hairstylist/gay BFF Ken Paves. It seems Ken and Jessica were on the outs, and that they were no longer stuck up each other?s asses. Then Us Weekly basically confirmed the damn breakup with a hilarious and bitchy tell-all article that read like a series of snipes from Camp Jess and Camp Ken. Camp Jess basically said that Ken dumped Jessica for Eva Longoria (?hagwrecker?) because he was launching a line of weaves and sh-t in South America (he needed a Latina friend, I guess). Camp Ken basically said that Jess commit?s the cardinal sin of the gay-girl relationship: she dumps her gay every time she gets a new boyfriend! SHOCK. Anyway, Ken just gave a new interview to E! News, and I think we can officially declare Ken and Jess the fourth big split of the week. SOB. Ken has officially dumped Jess.
Yes, Jessica Simpson’s ex-BFF and former go-to hair guy Ken Paves finally admitted what we told you about weeks ago: that he’s no longer snipping Jessica’s locks. So what did he have to say when E! News tracked him down last night?
Paves stumbled when asked if he was still working with Simpson, saying, “Yes, but no, but… that’s what led to the speculation,” he stammered.
So are they friends or not? “Jessica and I have been friends for 12 years,” said Paves at the Operation Smile event in L.A. “I introduced her to Operation Smile many years ago.”
Paves said the friendship “is always there” and that anybody can “say what they want to say” when it comes to the formerly inseparable duo.
“I’m not insecure about it,” he said. But when it came down to it, he came clean that the two still haven’t seen each other in a while.
“I’ve been working on a lot of things that have me in town and traveling,” he said. “We’re both busy and busy is good.”
Here we go with the busy excuse again. Paves says he has met Simpson’s current boyfriend, NFLer Eric Johnson, who seems to be filling the role of supporter and constant companion that Paves used to play.
He’s a great guy,” said Paves. “I’m very happy for Jessica. Very happy.”

This sh-t is more dramatic than Courteney Cox and David Arquette. Jessica had an ?emotional affair? with Eric, and Ken got in a snit and found a new girl, and Jess was all ?Why don?t you want to smell my farts anymore, Ken? I thought what we had was real, you know I?ll come back to you as soon as Eric dumps me!? And Ken says ?I don?t want you to break my heart. Again.? And Jess is just in denial and so Ken has to be the one to tell people. Meanwhile, they?re both still thinking about each other, but neither one can make the first move. They?re such drama queens!

Enjoying an evening together, Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson were seen out in New York City last night (October 13).
The ?Come On Over? songstress made her way from her soundcheck at the Roseland Ballroom, walking hand-in-hand with her handsome beau back to their hotel.
And now that Mr. Johnson?s divorce from his ex-wife is final, there?s a good chance he?ll be proposing to Jessica in the not-too-distant future.
Eric?s divorce papers stated, ?Irreconcilable differences between the parties caused the irremediable breakdown of the marriage, as a result of which the parties separated on October 17.?

Chilling out in New York City, Jessica Simpson was spotted out with her boyfriend Eric Johnson last night (October 12).
The ?With You? singer looked to be enjoying her time with her handsome beau as they made their way back to their hotel for the night.
As for her new Christmas album, it seems Simpson already has one big supporter- her baby nephew Bronx Mowgli Wentz.
Jessica tweeted, ?Just finished Christmas record! My buds @petewentz and BX came to the studio to hear my Christmas album and Bronx kept saying ??more!!!? I?m a hit with my nephew!?

They both wear their high heels with their skinny jeans. And both Jessica Simpson and Tom Cruise need to stop doing that sh-t. They look like they?re trying way too hard. Tom needs to stop pairing his lifts/heels with skinny jeans because the tapered leg draws attention to the fact that he?s wearing three-to-four inch heels. Jessica needs to stop because this style is crazy unflattering, especially since she?s being photographed at the airport, where everyone can see what she looks like in skinny jeans and NO heels - bad. Anyway, these are photos of Jessica and her boyfriend at LAX yesterday. Yes, they?re still together, despite rumors to the contrary. As LaineyGossip says, ?He?s not going anywhere. Why work, or study, or try when Jessica Simpson is offering to provide??
Beyond the unfortunate pairing of skinny jeans and Louboutins (right? I can see the red sole), what else do Tom and Jessica have in common? They both let their partners shop on their dime. They both like beefy football players? That?s all I?ve got.
I honestly don?t know how Jessica even gets into these jeans. And I don?t know why she would want to. Only girls like Sienna Miller can pull off this look, and even then, just barely.
