Brightening up the fancy affair, Jessica Simpson turned up in a bright yellow frock for the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner in Washington, D.C. on Saturday night (May 1).
The "Price of Beauty" babe was all smiles as she mingled with the star-studded guest list, during which she also chatted with press about Michelle Obama and her love life prospects.
Saying that she aspires to be like Mrs Obama, Jess tells, "I really do. She's such an incredible woman, and she's with such a powerful man."
As for what she likes most about the First Lady, Simpson said, "Everything she does she exudes confidence. I'm really just here to celebrate her."
Changing subjects, the "Dukes of Hazzard" darling was also asked about whether there's a man in her life, to which she replied, "I have some situations that I am feeling out."

Quite the frequent flyer as of late, Jessica Simpson was spotted touching down in Washington DC via Dulles International Airport on Friday (April 30).
Joined by some family members including her manager father, Joe Simpson, the "Dukes of Hazzard" darling trekked through the arrivals area before heading outside to an awaiting car.
Miss Simpson happens to be in town for the White House correspondents dinner - with ex-beau Tony Romo also turning up in DC for the annual event.
As for Jess, she was rocking her newly shortened hairdo, of which she tweeted, "I love my haircut!!!"

Looking to give her look an upgrade, Jessica Simpson has cut several inches off her beautiful blonde tresses.
The ?Dukes of Hazzard? babe enlisted her stylist/BFF Ken Paves to reshape her coif into a bouncy fun hairdo just in time for summer.
Taking to her Twitter page, Jess declared her approval for Paves? handiwork. ?Thank you @kenpaves!! I love my haircut!!? she wrote, along with a picture of her new ?do.
Earlier this week, Jessica paid a visit to ?The Tonight Show? with Jay Leno where she confessed to being addicted to Nicorette Gum.

Most people only buy it to help them quit smoking, but Jessica Simpson digs Nicorette Gum for the buzz she gets from it.
During her interview with Jay Leno on ?The Tonight Show,? the ?Come On Over? songstress confessed to her quirky addiction, much to Leno?s surprise.
Ms. Simpson explained, ?I am addicted to Nicorette Gum. I just spit it out and put it on my water bottle before I came out because I thought it would be rude to be chewing it.?
Leno curiously asked, ?Have you ever smoked?? Jess answered, ?No, not once. Never in my life have I smoked. The first time I ever chewed a piece of Nicorette Gum, one of my close friends? mother gave it to me. I think she thought she was giving me a piece of Dentyne Ice or something. And I?m chewing it and it?s like a party in my mouth- it?s like fireworks, and I?m like ?oh my God, I?m talking a million miles an hour. I love this gum, what kind of gum is this???
As for her dating life, Jess revealed, ?I am single, but I?m mingling. Yeah, you know, I go out from time to time, privately.?

Because that seems to be the euphemism everyone has agreed on for ?Not knowing how to dress for your body type so you don?t look like a stuffed sausage.? Or, ?not wearing the correct dress size.? Of course her unnamed friends have nothing but lovely things to say about Jessica?s ?transformation? from ?uncomfortable? big-boobed girl to a curvy phenom who will throw her boobs into whatever low-cut cocktail dress she can find. Yay?
Jessica Simpson is busting out with pride over her curves - she?s begun to wear red-hot outfits with plunging necklines for all of her outings, proving that she?s bounced back from the embarrassment of John Mayer?s ?sexual napalm? boasting.
?Jessica used to be very self-conscious about her curves,? a pal told the Enquirer. ?She occasionally wore low-cut tops, but she was never one for advertising her natural assets. In fact, she was downright uncomfortable.?

Um, did it ever occur to Jessica that maybe everyone is staring at her because they can?t get over how asinine her style choices are? I?m not even joking. Plus, how weird is it that Jessica is 29 years old and she?s only NOW ?grown into her body?? Don?t get me wrong, I feel differently about my body now than when I was 19 years old too - and I had a much better body when I was 19, so I think a lot, ?God, I really should have been happier with that.? But I didn?t really have much confidence in myself until my twenties, so I guess Jessica is the same way. I guess I found the wording strange - ?she?s finally grown into her body? as a euphemism for ?she now believes her boobs are her best feature, so she?s going to show them to everyone on the red carpet.?

On to her next adventure, Jessica Simpson was spotted departing her New York City hotel, luggage and all, and hopping into a chaffeured car on Wednesday (April 21).
The ?Angels? singer smiled politely as the paparazzi swarmed around her as she took off with dad, Joe, and BFF/hairstylist, Ken Paves.
On Tuesday night, Ms Simpson showed up for a promotional appearance for Vh1 Upfront 2010 at Pier 59 Studios donning a flattering form-fitting dress and camel leather jacket.
With her partners in crime, Ken and other BFF, Cacee Cobb, Jess proudly talked up their new show ?The Price of Beauty? which airs Mondays at 10pm.
