Everybody already knows that Jessica Simpson is knocked up, but she has thus far refused to confirm her pregnancy because she’s holding out for the big bucks. Page Six says:
Simpson, with the help of her father/manager, Joe Simpson, refused to say she is expecting until she had a [magazine] deal in place. The the singer/fashion designer had been shopping a deal to the celebrity weeklies to announce the news and sell the eventual baby photos. We?re told the Simpsons were asking up to $500,000 to close the deal.
And Jessica has been hiding an obvious bump in recent photos to keep showbiz?s worst kept secret. Last night OK! posted the cover story, ?Yes, I?m Having A Baby.?
In short, Jessica Simpson wanted half a million dollars to tell you something you already knew. That makes as much sense as paying a prostitute not to have sex with you.

This week, OK! Magazine’s cover story is ?Jessica Simpson: ?Yes, I?m Having a Baby??. Please don?t think that Jessica is actually ?confirming? anything to the tabloid, though. As I covered yesterday, the cover story is just about Jessica telling friends (who then tell OK! Mag) that she?s pregnant and eating everything. While I think we?ve pretty much established that Jessica is in fact pregnant, most us would definitely like to see her confirm it somehow. In yesterday?s story, I praised what I thought was Jessica?s low-key vibe in regards to talking about her (alleged) pregnancy. I thought she was actually changing for the better, that perhaps our little Farty was growing up. According to Page Six, though, she?s still the same old Farty. Meaning that her dad is still a train wreck and that he controls everything about her:

A rep for Simpson had no comment.

But Jessica is a tabloid favorite, and even though most of us aren?t actively fan-girling her, we do like her and wish her well, and that means people will be interested in her official pregnancy announcement and the first baby photos. Plus, I think the ?Yes, I?m pregnant? AND the ?Here are my babies? tabloid covers are selling for a bargain at $500K. I hope People Mag bites.

Tending to her hectic work schedule, Jessica Simpson took to an afternoon office meeting in Los Angeles, California on Thursday (October 13).
Looking to stay out of the eye of the looming shutterbugs, the "Dukes of Hazzard" actress was quickly escorted into an awaiting vehicle parked nearby.
Further fueling pregnancy rumors, Jessica dressed in a flowing black maxi dress accented by a large leopard print handbag, conveniently placed in front of her midsection.
Earlier in the week Miss Simpson was spotted at LAX airport in a tummy-hugging black sweater, which surely sent Internet speculation skyrocketing. Despite the constant baby buzz, Jessica and her reps have yet to confirm or deny the claims.

Continuing forth with her Stateside promotional tour, Jessica Simpson was busy boosting interest in her latest collection in New Orleans, Louisiana over the weekend (October 8).
The 31-year-old took to the Dillard's Lakeside Shopping Plaza in the Big Easy, where she greeted a crowd of fans while once again posing with plenty of little ones during the visit.
Tweeting about the meet and greet prior to taking to her specially set-up booth, Jess wrote, "Come see me and shop the JS Collection at Dillards in the Lakeside Shopping Center in Metairie, Louisiana today from 1:00-4:00PM!

Arriving for a departing flight, Jessica Simpson was spotted at the Los Angeles International Airport on Friday (October 7).
The ?Price of Beauty? babe looked cute and comfy in leggings and an over-sized sweater as she and her mom, Tina, made their way through the security checkpoint.
With rumors of a pregnancy swirling around Jess and fiance Eric Johnson as of late, an inside told OK!, ?She?s being coy about it because it?s in the early weeks, but yes, the general consensus is that she?s pregnant.?
?Jessica wants to be a mom so badly and has for a long time,? the source added. ?Whenever Jessica is with [her sister] Ashlee?s son, Bronx, she?s all over him. Jess is just so playful and open-hearted. You can tell she?s going to be an amazing mother.?

Life & Style can confirm that Jessica Simpson is pregnant because a source tells them “I definitely think she’s pregnant,” due to her eating a lot. Wait. The source knows who Jessica Simpson is, right?
After watching Jessica wolf down chicken-fried steak (which is 2,084 calories, according to the restaurant’s menu), a pizza and a “pizookie” (a big chocolate-chip-cookie dessert clocking in at 887 calories) at BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse in Century City, the onlooker admits she could draw only one conclusion.
“She ordered a ton of food. She has to be pregnant,” said the onlooker, adding, “She didn’t have any alcohol to drink, either. There looked to be a cocktail on the table, but I didn’t see her drink it. She was sipping a Perrier and nibbling off her fianc’s plate — the cocktail was obviously Eric’s.” Life & Style
If Jessica isn’t really pregnant, she must love being fake pregnant. “I can eat whatever I want because people think I’m eating for two!,” she says failing to realize the flaw in her logic. Jessica Simpson has returned from Mexico, and she was photographed several times over the past few days looking pregnant. Unfortunately, we still don?t have the photos. The alcohol thing is much more telling than the food thing. Jessica loves her liquor, and if she wasn?t pregnant, she would have downed several cocktails with that meal. So, my verdict remains: She?s pregnant. But not because of how much she?s eating.

Launching her latest range of apparel, Jessica Simpson made an in-store appearance at Macy's Union Square in San Francisco, California on Saturday (October 1).
The "Dukes of Hazzard" darling was all smiles as she was joined by fiance Eric Johnson in presenting her Ready-To-Wear Jessica Simpson Collection.
The bubbly star happily signed autographs and shook hands with attendees during the City by the Bay stop, even cradling an adorable young fan in her arms for a precious photo op moment.
Tweeting about the visit prior to taking her perch, Jess excitedly wrote, "Come see me and shop the JS Collection at Macy's Union Square in San Francisco from 1-4 today!"

Despite champing at the bit to legally bind his ass to hers by the end of year, the Jessica Simpson has decided to put off her dream wedding to fiance Eric Johnson. According to In Touch, the blond beauty is expecting her first child.
Simpson was reportedly so shocked when she first learned she was expecting via a home pregnancy test earlier this month, she took nine more tests to make sure.
“She’s already having kooky cravings which satisfy her urge for salty and sweet,” the friend added, listing nacho chips dipped in chocolate… among Simpson’s current favorites.
Where does one buy nacho chips dipped in chocolate, I wonder? Probably the same place you by bacon-wrapped sausage and beer-battered Twinkies. Anywhere south of the Mason-Dixon Line.
