Sigh? I cannot tell you how happy I am that Julia Roberts has gone back to a nice shade of red. I get tired of redheads trying to make the blonde thing work. Julia Roberts has too much time wasting her ginger on blonde, strawberry-blonde and brunette for too many years. While those shades don?t really look hideous on her, but I missed her natural red hair and I?m happy with this current color. She looks so much prettier as a bright redhead. But I digress - these are photos from the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of Jesus Henry Christ, a film that Julia does not star in, but exectuive produced. The film sounds okay - mawkish coming of age story, starring Toni Collette as a feminist mom who conceived her son in a petri dish, and then that adolescent son goes in search of his father. Eh. Oh, and he?s a genius. So it?s like Little Man Tate meets The Kids Are All Right. Meh. People Magazine had an interview with Jules on the red carpet. No, she?s didn?t declare ?THAT?S SO TACKY? even once. Disappointing!
Julia Roberts is an Academy Award-winning actress, a box-office champ, a Broadway star and now the executive producer of Jesus Henry Christ, which debuted Saturday at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. But her kids want her to whip up another successful career.
“They think that I’m a good cook,” Roberts, 43, told PEOPLE at the premiere. “They actually told me that I should open a restaurant.”
Henry, 3, and twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 6, say their favorite dish is “everything made with love,” Roberts said.
For now, though, Roberts is focused on her film, which she worked on with her older sister Lisa Gillan, who co-produced, and her husband, cinematographer Danny Moder, who shot it.
“It was so great to be working on the same movie with him. He’s so good at what he does. He’s so clear and focused,” Roberts said of Moder, whom she met while working on 2001’s The Mexican. “It’s actually hard to get his attention on the set because he’s really like, ‘No, I’m working.’ But at lunch I will be like, ‘Hi, remember me, your wife?’ ”
As for working with her sister, Roberts, who walked the red carpet with Lisa, says filming went smoothly thanks to their strong bond. In fact, it’s rare that they will have a fight.
“We are always happy. We maybe will have an argument once a year just to get it out of our system so we don’t make people sick,” Roberts said with her signature boisterous laugh. “We’ve shared a room for 12 years and we lived in the same apartment building. We liked living together. So we know everything about each other. We’re very close.”
Working with loved ones certainly makes the film-making experience richer but Roberts also enjoyed her role as a producer, rather than the leading lady.
“The best part for me being a producer was creating an environment that makes actors comfortable,” the Eat, Pray, Love star said. “It’s about not bugging them and trusting them. The actors took the parts that we already loved and turned them into these glorious machinations of quirky, amazing characters, so we were thrilled.”
[From People]
Yeah, Julia is famously tight with her sister, but not her brother Eric. So be it, I?m not going to get involved in that issue. I did find the little part about Danny Moder interesting? Julia is such a drama queen that she?s still talking about the one time her husband ignored her so that he could do his work. It?s funny because that?s what you get when you marry Julia ?It?s All About ME!? Roberts!
I like her coat, by the way. The Tribeca Film Festival is pretty low-key, so her outfit is acceptable for the event. She also looks like she?s lost some weight since the Eat Pray Love media tour.

| Oprah chooses Ellen DeGeneres to be her successor | Added 13 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

What, oh what shall we do when Oprah Winfrey ends her talk show to start her TV network? Who will tell us what to read? Where will Julia Roberts promote her movies based on Oprah’s book club choices? Whose couch will Tom Cruise jump on?
Some of you younger readers have never known a world without Oprah. Her talk show has been on for 25 years.
Never fear. Oprah has chosen her successor, and it’s Ellen DeGeneres.
You know it’s serious when somebody besides Oprah appears on the cover of “O” magazine. Ellen was the second woman to achieve that feat. Michelle Obama was the first.
Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres have become Hollywood’s newest BFFs!
Oprah will be wrapping up production of her long-running show after 25 years and launching her OWN network in Los Angeles in January. And she’s now ready to “pass the talk-show queen torch” to Ellen, said a source.
The Enquirer has learned the women recently shared an intimate dinner — Ellen bringing along wife Portia de Rossi and Oprah with her closest friend, Gayle King.
“They’ve always been fond of each other, but Oprah sees Ellen as her successor. She’s wanted to personally give Ellen advice on turning herself into a worldwide media brand,” explained the source.
After spending a great deal of time communicating via phone and e-mail, Ellen invited Oprah and Gayle to join her and Portia at their Los Angeles home for a gourmet vegan dinner.
“At the intimate gathering, Oprah gave Ellen advice on how to carry on with her upbeat, heartfelt approach to TV talk,” explained the source.
Meanwhile, Gayle and Portia chatted in another room, according to the source.
The four have become fast friends. Ellen, 52, became the second woman — after Michelle Obama — to ever appear on the cover of “O” magazine with Oprah in December 2009. And Portia, 37, recently appeared on Oprah’s show to discuss her autobiography, Unbearable Lightness, which chronicles her battle with anorexia and coming to terms with her sexuality.
But the get-together nearly never happened — after Oprah, 56, kept her hosts waiting for more than an hour, explaining that she’d been stuck in traffic.
According to the source, Ellen joked: “You’re an L.A. girl now — get used to it!”
[National Enquirer, print edition, December 20, 2010]
It’s interesting that Enquirer portrays this as a big happy girls’ club, even using the word “intimate” twice, so soon after Oprah’s recent teary admission that she’s not a lesbian.
I’m just relieved Oprah didn’t choose Dr. Phil to be the new talk-show queen, but I wager Rosie O’Donnell is not at all happy.

She?s usually pretty mild-mannered, but Julia Roberts straight up lost it when she saw a paparazzo photographing her on Monday (December 6).
The ?Pretty Woman? actress was out on a public street in Santa Monica, California with her husband Daniel Moder when the shutterbug started snapping pictures.
And Julia hopped out of her car and started walking quickly toward the photographer, attacking him when she got within range.
This unfortunate incident will surely lead to further legal action, and could cost Ms. Roberts some of her $1.5 million paycheck she earned for her recent Lavazza A Modo Mio coffee commercial in Italy.

Julia Roberts was one of several women honored last night at Glamour Magazine?s Women of the Year event. Julia wore L?Wren Scott, and her award was not for acting, but for her charity work. I was looking around for a good shot of the dress, but most of the photos are of Julia in the coat. Which is fine - the coat is great. Here’s a shot of just the dress:

They're two of the greatest actresses of their time, and Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep are in negotiations to star in an upcoming film together.
The ?Eat Pray Love? chick and the ?It?s Complicated? beauty are working out the details for the feature adaptation of Tracy Letts? Pulitizer-winning play ?August: Osage County.?
The play revolves around a family's buried pains and present conflicts after its patriarch dies. Streep would take the role of the drug-addicted matriarch; Roberts would play the eldest daughter, whose estranged husband has had an affair with one of his students.
If all goes as planned, production for the film will begin next summer.

| Julia Roberts in a bright white three-piece suit: hideous, tragic or awesome? | Added 14 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Julia Roberts? ?Abominable Fashion Disaster Tour: Europe? continued on Wednesday, when Julia made a pit stop in England for the official UK premiere of Eat, Pray, Love. This time, Our Jules eschewed jewel tones, tacky belts, muumuus and f-cked up hemlines to bring us this. This? three piece white pantsuit. With a pink/blush collarless long-sleeved blouse. Ugh. Julia. For the love of God.
Just note - if this were Cate Blanchett in the exact same look, I would be loving it. Probably because I love Cate and I think she walks on water. Plus, Cate has the quirky high-fashion credibility to make a boxy, bright white, three-piece suit work. Cate would make this look like an Yves Saint Laurent ad from the 1970s. But Julia makes it look like she performs tricks at the budget circus. And not good tricks either. Sad tricks. Tricks that will make you avert your eyes and mutter, “maybe I should go.”
Look how boxy she looks! And she really looks knocked up in a bunch of these photos. What is wrong with you Julia? Why can?t you ever get it right? I mean, I’m assuming she’s not pregnant, and it’s just her hideous clothes that make appear that way. If she is pregnant, mazel tov, etc. Also: these are the first photos from Julia?s European tour where I really think she?s had a lot of work done to her face. Maybe she got some emergency Botox in London, or maybe it?s just a harsher flash used by the British photographers, I have no idea. But Julia is looking very cat-faced.

Stepping out for her continued promotional efforts, Julia Roberts attended the UK premiere of "Eat, Pray, Love" in London on Wednesday (September 22).
Looking stylish in an all-white ensemble, the "Pretty Woman" actress strolled around the red carpet at the Empire Leicester Square before heading in to watch her latest work.
Prior to making her way to England, Miss Roberts was awarded with a prestigious Lifetime Achievement award at the San Sebastian film festival.
Garnering the Donostia Award , Roberts told the audience, "What a fortunate woman I've been in my life for a variety of reasons. If we were having dinner, I'd tell you all of them. But now, I'll just say thank you from the bottom of my heart. And thank you to San Sebastian, which is the most enthusiastic town."

These are photos of Julia Roberts accepting a Lifetime Achievement Award at the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain. God, are we already there? Julia is already receiving ?lifetime? achievement awards? I would say, “only in Hollywood would a woman in her 40s be considered old enough for a lifetime achievement” but this isn’t even Hollywood. The award was presented to her by the man she loves to cling to like she?s a toddler unable to stand up straight, Javier Bardem. During her speech, Julia said, ?What a fortunate woman I’ve been in my life for a variety of reasons. If we were having dinner, I’d tell you all of them. But now, I’ll just say thank you from the bottom of my heart. And thank you to San Sebastian, which is the most enthusiastic town.”
As for her dress? well, I think I hate it as much as the muumuu/leggings/hideous belt combo the other day. This dress offends me in its cut, it offends me in the horrible way it fits Julia, and it offends me because it looks cheap and THAT?S SO TACKY. If you want a tea-length dress, get a tea-length dress. If you want to wear a proper gown, get a proper gown. Don?t wear a dress that looks like a junior?s gown that you outgrew over the summer after your growth spurt. Beyond that, it just looks like a muumuu that she tried to make into a proper dress by wearing another f-cking belt. I want to shake her and yell at her: ?You are not a belt person!!?
Also, she?s still trying to cover her stomach. Eh. Her hair is meh, the shoes suck, the color of the dress is nice, I guess, and her makeup is pretty good. That?s all I?ve got. Does anyone get the sense that Julia needs to ?grow up? style-wise? This hippie muumuu junk is an immature phase, perhaps.

| Julia Roberts is trying to bring back the shorts-and-blazer combo | Added 14 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

You know what I?m talking about - that scene near the end of Pretty Woman when Julia Roberts was wearing salmon-colored culottes and a blazer and she goes to meet Kit in the lobby and they go out by the pool and Kit is all ?Cinderf-ckinrella?. And a fashion moment was born. I remember when the shorts-blazer combo was big, and Julia (or Pretty Woman?s costumer) was responsible for it. Anyway, these are photos of Julia in Spain today, promoting Eat, Pray, Love at the San Sebastian Film Festival. Instead of culottes, Julia is rocking a mini-skort. Her ass is very close to falling out of it too, but her legs are still in pretty good shape, right?
Anyway, this is the most slender Julia has looked for the entire European tour. She either just gains weight in her mid-section, or she?s pregnant. I don?t know why she keeps drawing attention to her waist, either. This outfit doesn?t have some hideous belt (thankfully), but Julia is still pulling at her blazer and trying to get the eye to go down. She?s either pregnant, or self-conscious about the weight she?s put on.
As for the actual outfit? well, I hope this doesn?t start something. This is actually the second shorts-blazer combo Julia has worn during promotion - she also wore a similar combo to the New York premiere. While Julia looks nice in what seems like a very cheap blazer & skort (albeit dated), she needs to try something else. I didn?t hate the dress she wore in Paris, maybe something more along those lines. Also: Julia needs to stop clinging to Javi. Every f-cking protional stop, she?s been on him like white on rice. Stop with the clinging, Julia. You?re in your 40s, you?ve been doing this for three decades, if you can?t do a photo op without acting like a little girl who needs to be protected, you should just stop.
