Kim Kardashian appears on today?s Ellen Show. Even though Keeping Up with the Kardashians covered Kim?s Paris robbery, this is the first real interview Kim has done about the robbery. Meaning, this is the first time Kim has spoken directly about it in public, to a professional interviewer. The clip isn?t online yet but E! News had a lot of the quotes from the interview. Kim talks about how she feels like the robbery was ?supposed to happen? to her to get her to wake up and stop being so materialistic. Some quotes:
She feels like it was meant to happen to her: “I know this sounds crazy, but I know that was meant to happen to me. I don’t want to start crying, but I feel like that was so meant to happen to me. I’m such a different person. I, um…I don’t want to start crying anymore. It was meant to happen to me. I really feel like things happen in your life to teach you things. It was probably no secret, and you see it on the show?I was being flashy and I was definitely materialistic before.?
On success & materialism: ?[There?s nothing inherently] bad with having things and working hard to get those things, and I’m really proud of everyone around me that’s successful? but I’m so happy that my kids get this me and that this is who I’m raising my kids [as]. ‘Cause I just don’t care about that stuff anymore. I really don’t. Like I said, everyone gets so excited when they get things. Or, of course when you get engaged, you’re going to show off your ring. If you get a new car?I don’t care what kind it is?you get so proud and you get so happy and you show that off on social media. But it’s just…it’s not worth it. Like, I don’t care about that stuff. I don’t care to show off the way that I used to. Even though there’s nothing wrong, truly?it’s OK if you’re proud of that and you work so hard and you get something?it’s just not who I am anymore.”
The robbers had been tracking her for years: “It was almost 2:30 in the morning. But what was crazy is meeting with my attorneys and knowing the information that I know now, they had been following me for two years. They had been hearing interviews that I did, getting excited about this jewelry or this jewelry, and saying that it’s real. It’s not to say that I’ll never wear jewelry again or anything like that, [but] I truly don’t know if I’d ever feel comfortable. I don’t know if I’d ever wear real jewelry again. Just…my whole life as changed as far as how I travel and security. I never thought that I needed security staying outside my door, even though I had a lot of jewelry. If you think about it, yeah, I should have had a security guard outside my door 24/7 when I’m traveling and I didn’t. Now, I have several, just for me to be able to sleep at night.”
What she felt when she realized what was happening: “Automatically, your stomach dropped. It’s a feeling you can’t even explain. Like, I knew that was it for me. I said a prayer, like, ‘I know I’m going to heaven. I hope my kids are OK, and my husband.’ I don’t want to cry; you’re making me cry. But it does happen really fast. It was a good seven or eight minutes of torture, but when I look back and I analyze it, I’m like, ‘OK, they weren’t aggressive.’ It could have been way worse, so I don’t want to sound like I’m not grateful. I’m out, I’m home, I’m safe, I’m such a better person?it’s OK. Let’s move on.”

I was suspicious at first that Kim would merely go through a phase where she was less showy, and then she would revert back to her old put-it-all-out-there self. But? is it weird that I think she actually has changed? I don?t think this was ?meant to happen? in the sense of ?this was fated, the universe wanted to teach her a lesson.? Because I don?t think the universe cares about Kim Kardashian. But I do think she learned some lessons and I don?t know, I buy her transformation.
Kim also talked sh-t about Caitlyn Jenner in this interview. Apparently, none of the Kardashians are here for Caitlyn?s memoir and Kim says flat-out that Caitlyn is lying her ass off.

Have you seen the trailers and ads for the new movie The Promise? That?s an awful film-title, isn?t it? With a name like The Promise, I would expect it to be one of those super-churchy films, but it?s not. It?s about the Armenian genocide. Or, let me be more specific, it?s a love story set against the backdrop of the Armenian genocide. I think this was supposed to be a bit like The English Patient, only the trailers make me feel? like this is sort of miscast? No offense to Oscar Isaac and Christian Bale, but? I don?t know. Here?s the trailer:
Anyway, the LA premiere was last night and Oscar Isaac wasn?t there (or he was not photographed at all if he was there). Christian Bale was there with his wife. But Bale barely got any attention, because the most famous Armenian-American in the world came out to the premiere: KIM KARDASHIAN. We are living in a world where Kim Kardashian goes to the same premiere as Christian Bale? and she gets more attention than Bale. Which I actually think Bale is probably fine with?
There was another famous Armenian-American in attendance: CHER! I actually didn?t know that Cher is part Armenian, but there you go. Cher happily posed with Kim and Kourtney Kardashian on the red carpet. Movies about the Armenian genocide: ON FLEEK. Speaking of on fleek, I don?t really have much to say about the fashion here. I don?t think that color complements Kim, but Kourtney?s suit is pretty great. Cher looks like Cher. Like the Ghost of Kim?s Future Faces, actually.

Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian out and about yesterday. She attended the Daily Front Row’s 3rd Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards, then she went out to eat at Mr. Chow afterwards. Doesn?t it look like she?s wearing a wedding dress? She might be. This dress is Givenchy, designed by Riccardo Tisci for his 2011 line. The Givenchy ?signature? is that it looks like mold is growing on the dress. So high-fashion!
Meanwhile, I guess we?re still writing headlines based off episodes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. As we discussed last week, Kim?s current KUWTK storyline is that she really, really wants a third baby. Her pregnancy with Saint was difficult, as was her first pregnancy. Her doctors didn?t believe that she could carry a third pregnancy to term. Apparently, Kim had some kind of surgery to improve her chances of a third pregnancy, but it looks like it?s still not going to happen. So now Kim is considering surrogacy.
Kim Kardashian West is ready for more kids! On Sunday?s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim reflects on her past and looks forward to expanding her family with Kanye West, but it won?t be easy.
?I?d just love nothing more than to expand my family and just know that I have this world at home that?s safe,? Kim revealed in the episode. ?And if for some reason I left this earth sooner than I really wanted to, then my kids would have a support system at home so that I know that they would be OK if I wasn?t here.?
Throughout episode, the 36-year-old reflected on the hardships that she has experienced after giving birth with North and Saint. Through it all, Kim knew that getting pregnant again would be high risk, but she still wanted to try and have a third child. During the episode, Kim underwent a procedure to help her become able of carrying another baby if she chooses to, but it doesn?t work.
?I?m not sure it?s worth it,? Kris Jenner tells the camera. ?I?d very much like Kim to have another baby. But I?m worried about Kim having another baby.?
?Having more kids is definitely going to be a struggle,? Kim explained. ?I?ve gone through so much with really bad deliveries that the doctors don?t feel like it?s safe for me to conceive again myself. This surgery is really the one last thing I can try. I want my kids to have siblings and I want to know that I did everything I could to make this happen.?
During a conversation with her sisters Kourtney and Khlo?, Kim revealed that she and Kanye were leaning toward surrogacy.
?After everything I went through, the surgery and it wasn?t successful and didn?t do anything,? she told her sisters. ?Kanye was really nervous about the surgery ? but I know he would want to have more kids. I feel like surrogacy is the only option for me. Kanye and I are going to look into other options and see what we are comfortable with,? Kim went on to say. ?I?m definitely leaning towards I want to try [surrogacy]. After talking to Kanye ? I always knew surrogacy was an option, now it?s my reality,? Kim said in her interview. ?Whatever is meant to be will be.?

I?m sure many people believe that for Kim, surrogacy was always her first choice and she?s just going through the motions of ?oh I wish I could pregnant again.? I think that?s a little bit harsh? Like, she?s superficial and terrible and of course she hates being pregnant? but she also went through two tough pregnancies and I honestly believe that she would have gotten pregnant again if her doctors had given her the thumbs-up. So, yeah? surrogacy. I bet it will happen soon.

Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian out and about yesterday in LA. I?m really only writing about these photos because of her outfit. Before she was robbed in Paris last year, Kim was known (by me) as one of the worst street-style victims ever. What?s weird is that pre-Kanye, Kim?s style – red carpet and street-style – wasn?t THAT bad. Like, it wasn?t great, but she usually looked pulled-together and like she understood which pieces went together. Post-Kanye, it seems like Kim gets dressed in the dark, or that her taste level has just gone haywire. Or something.
So this is what she wore for a casual outing (I think she went to lunch with her family): white-grey sweatpants tucked into ankle boots with a spike heel, combined with a white corset top and a puffy white ski jacket. I think it?s the corset that doesn?t make much sense here. If she wore a t-shirt, this ensemble wouldn?t be quite so confusing. But good God, Kim. Oh, and the little Hermes purse????? WTF?
Also, there was a rumor going around the British tabloids that Kim had a second sex tape which was making the rounds (?) but Kim denied the story directly to the Daily Mail, saying it?s the same old sex tape. Good to know.

Kim Kardashian arrived in New York on Monday. Kanye West has been in New York for a few weeks, as he prepped his big return to New York Fashion Week, following the disastrous show last September. There?s a lot of drama about Kanye, but let?s talk about Kim first. I?m including photos of Kim from two separate outings. During one outing on Tuesday, she was wandering around in a patchwork fur coat and black boots, and she almost fell in the snow. She was saved by one of her burly new bodyguards. In the second set of photos, Kim was going out to eat in a minidress/jacket thing and those photos are kind of blah. As for the fur? Kim has worn fur for years, much to the dismay of the anti-fur people. I thought Kim was trying to keep a lower profile following her Paris robbery, and I really don?t think wearing an expensive fur coat around New York is the best idea. I also think the really long extensions are a bad idea. But what do I know?
As for Kanye?s show? apparently, Kim came to New York to give her husband some moral support. Sources told People Mag that Kim didn?t want to bother Kanye while he prepped the show, but she did want to show up to make sure that he?s keeping with the program: ?They spent the weekend apart so Kanye could focus on the show. There is definitely some concern that the show will be too much stress for him. He gets so involved and it?s hard for him to not get obsessed. Kim keeps checking in to make sure he gets enough sleep.?
At first, Kanye?s Yeezy show was going to be organized much like a sideshow to the NYFW action, and other designers (like Georgina Chapman at Marchesa) were super-pissed that Kanye was trying to pull focus. So he rescheduled his show for later today, at 3 pm. I?m assuming it will be a hot mess, but who knows? At least the CFDA isn?t issuing a fashion fatwa against him anymore.

Say what you will about Kim Kardashian, but she makes beautiful babies, doesn?t she? Kim was out and about in New York yesterday with her children, North and Saint. These kids, y?all. They?re gorgeous. I?m sure some people will say that Kim saw that Beyonce announced her pregnancy and Kim was just trying to steal the Beythunder, but I think even Kim knows that she?s not capable of stealing Beyonce?s thunder, right? I think Kim was merely doing what Beyonce was doing – Kim knew we were having a really rough time and she was like, ?look at my cute children!? That?s my interpretation of it.
Plus, Kim had a real reason for being in New York yesterday – she met with French authorities (who flew into New York) to give additional statements/testimony about her robbery last fall. A source told People: ?This morning, Kim had a meeting with the French judge handling her robbery case. Kim answered questions. She said it went fine. She is just happy that she didn?t have to go to Paris.? Apparently, the French justice system does not require victims of crimes to travel back to France to give testimony, so this was actually a nice break for Kim.
Meanwhile, Kim and Chrissy Teigen are starting a book club:

Slowly but surely Kim Kardashian is re-entering the old famewhore space that she used to inhabit. A leopard can?t change their spots butt implants, after all. Kim and the Kardashian-Jenners spent several days on ?vacation? in Costa Rica, only I?m pretty sure the vacation was just for Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The plotlines involved: Kourtney and Scott getting into a fight (Scott left the vacay early), Kylie and Tyga still going strong and Kim enjoying her ?thinness.? We know that Kim is really feeling herself these days because she?s back to Snapchatting endlessly, even while she?s working out:
If a workout happened and it wasn?t documented on social media, did even happen at all? That?s the question Kim Kardashian West asked her Snapchat followers on Saturday, after sharing a video of herself and sister Khlo Kardashian doing a high-intensity workout. The 36-year-old reality star has been keeping a low profile since her Paris robbery in October and she has recently begun her slow return to social media. But even at the peak of her social sharing, there was one thing Kardashian West rarely showed fans: her workouts.
?I never Snapchat my workouts, just because? I don?t know why ? I?m just not Kourtney and Khlo,? Kardashian West joked, after posting a video of her Saturday morning exercise session. ?But it?s like, if I don?t Snap it, then it?s as if it never happened. But I work out every single day for over an hour.?

Do you think Kim really works out for more than an hour every day? I do not. Especially since Kim actually looked like she had put on some weight after the holidays. That?s not a criticism or anything – if I had been held at gunpoint and robbed, I would need some comfort food too. But I?m just saying, I don?t think she works out every day. I?m legitimately happy that Kim Kardashian is finally stepping out on pap strolls once again these days. I missed the discussions about her bad fashion. Since she took a break from pap strolls following her robbery in Paris, Kim has also rebooted her casual style a little bit. As we saw last week, Kim?s 2017 look ? so far ? involves what I describe as ?high fashion grunge.? It?s grunge in that it seems like Kim is wearing thrift-store flannels. It?s high-fashion in that she pairs cheap flannel with stilettos and tragic leather pants.
Kim stepped out again on Tuesday in another high-fashion grunge ensemble and? yeah, I don?t know what to say. Like, the reason grunge was so popular was because it was so easy and comfortable. But does Kim look comfortable? No. She looks like she?s trying to hide either a pregnancy or a weight gain. Is she pregnant? I kind of doubt it. It was just last month when it felt like Kim and Kanye were absolutely on the rocks, and like Kim was seriously considering divorce. Nowadays it?s a different story though ? People Mag had a story this week about how Kim and Kanye are doing a lot better:
Despite a difficult past few months, things are looking up for Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West. A Keeping Up with the Kardashians source tells PEOPLE that the 39-year-old rapper is doing all he can to make his wife happy, including filming the family?s E! show at her side.
?Kanye is really trying to please Kim. He realizes that his difficult behavior has been extremely draining for her,? the insider says. ?He is trying to make it up to Kim by going along with things that are important to her. The show is still important to Kim, so Kanye will support her.? The source adds that the two are ?still working on their issues separately.?
Kardashian West, 36, recently took a trip to Dubai, where she made her first public appearance since the robbery scare. West did not accompany the reality star to Dubai, but a source told PEOPLE that the two spend time together and are committed to making their relationship work.
?It doesn?t seem like they have plans to split now. Things don?t seem great, but it also seems they are working to change that. Kanye has been very low-key and Kim appreciates that,? the source said. ?With her life not being completely chaotic, she is able to be more understanding and patient with Kanye. Kim seems more hopeful about their future together.?

I do think it?s interesting that Kanye is the one who is putting in the effort to make it work. Doesn?t it feel like that? Because if it was just up to Kim, she would probably be talking to divorce lawyers right now. Sigh? I wonder how long this phase will last.

Please let me have this: I?ve genuinely missed writing about Kim Kardashian?s street style. Call me vapid, call me superficial, call me a Kaiser Kardashian, I don?t care. It?s been months since Kim has pap strolled down a sidewalk in some unfortunate outfit and I have truly missed it. I?m so glad she?s back! These are photos of Kim in Bel Air on Wednesday. She was flanked by bodyguards for her outing, and I truly thought that woman was Lisa Rinna, but it?s not. It?s Carole Bayer Sager.
As for Kim?s unfortunate outfit? I?m so excited we get to talk about it! When I was a kid, professionally ?holed? jeans were just starting to be a thing. Like, it was a brand new movement in denim, to buy jeans that were professionally holed and ripped. I wanted a pair so badly. And my parents bought me a pair ? acid washed jeans with tiny little holes and rips all over the legs. I thought they were amazing. I think I was 11 years old? Kim?s jeans are like the more expensive version of my late ?80s jeans. And they look gloriously awful!!!
Also: some commenters suggested that Kim?s three-month absence from pap strolls and social media meant that she was recovering from some plastic surgery, perhaps even a butt surgery, like a de-butt-ification, perhaps. I think her butt looks the same? If anything, these jeans are so unflattering, it looks like she?s gained some weight. That being said, I bet she did get some face work done.
Last thing ? while Kim and Kanye West spent Christmas in LA, barely communicating with each other, the Kardashian-Wests did fly to Oklahoma City for New Year?s to visit Donda West?s gravesite. They flew by private jet and TMZ reported, ?We’re told it was the first time Kanye had taken the whole family to see where Donda West is buried. They hooked up with other members of the West fam as well during the trip. Kanye’s been very present with Kim and the kids over the last weeks as he recovers from his breakdown — and we’re told this family pilgrimage was extremely important to him.? Well, that?s actually really nice.
