Yesterday, I claimed that Kim Kardashian was trying to kill me with ?90s nostalgia ? there were some photos of Kim in NYC, wearing a Totally ?90s black velvet dress that pretty much every ?90s Girl owned circa 1996. And now this happened! These are photos of Kim Kardashian out and about in Miami yesterday with Kanye and some of her family (Khloe, etc). Pretty much every lady my age and older has tried a variation of this look too, the bustier-top with jeans. We all tried in the 1980s and ?90s. It?s hard to pinpoint exactly when the ?peak? of this fashion really came. I would say early ?90s, but I might be wrong. This look reminds me strongly of a very famous set of photos of Cindy Crawford. Janet Jackson wore something similar in a music video too.
Still, these photos just remind me of something fundamental about Kim: she doesn?t understand her body at all. She takes lousy styling advice and she has no ?eye? for what works on her body, or for what works period. Look at how small that lingerie/bustier/bodysuit thing is! Look at what it?s doing to her breasts. And I?m sorry, but those acid-washed jeans need to be burned. I thought LeAnn Rimes? jeans were bad the other day, but I actually think these are worse (albeit cleaner).
Kim also got somewhat naked ? she was naked, but covering herself ? in some Snapchats last night and now everyone is like ?are we going to have another controversy where tons of celebrities call Kim a skank for not wearing clothes??
PS? Seriously, why are button-fly jeans a thing again? It was bad enough the first time around.

She teamed the interesting top combo with a pair of black cycling shorts and fluffy black sliders… as well as a long duster-style jacket.

Kim Kardashian gained a lot of weight during both of her pregnancies. I get the feeling that losing weight after her second pregnancy was a lot harder for her, but I also believe that Kim really wants this to be the last time that she bounces back. As in, Kim isn?t having any more babies. She doesn?t want to do that to her body again. Throughout her weight-loss journey, Kim has been posting essays to her subscription app, talking about body image and body confidence and how she hopes that other women find inspiration in her journey, if that?s what they want. She has a new piece this week about the same thing.
Regaining a positive body image: “Having a positive self-image has always been important to me because it affects so many aspects of my life: my work, my relationship with my husband and my life as a mom. After I had [North West], there was a part of me that was nervous about whether I’d be able to get back to anywhere near my pre-pregnancy weight and feel confident again, since I was now 50 pounds heavier. I knew I had to put in a lot of work, but I got there?it took me a good six or seven months. After 10 months, I felt like I was even better than before. I was curvier. I really felt like all the hard work paid off.”
The second pregnancy: “The second time around, it was easier for me to embrace the changes. I loved finding looks that showed off my pregnancy curves.” After Saint’s birth, she wrote, “I decided to set goals for myself. I was motivated, but it was tough! It isn’t easy to just bounce back.”
Jealousy & insecurity: “I was so jealous of women who had these cute little baby bellies and would gain 25 pounds?and then, a few weeks after giving birth, somehow look exactly like they did before they were pregnant. That’s not me.”
Kanye was there every step of the way: “I’m my own biggest critic, and Kanye is my biggest supporter. He always encourages me, and makes me feel confident about owning all my curves and showing them off.”
She hopes she?s a body-positive role model for North: “As North gets older, she’ll start to be more aware of herself and her body. Her attitude toward her body is directly

Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian out and about in Woodland Hills on Friday. She was filming Keeping Up with the Kardashians with her family. While I think Kim looks remarkably conservative here, I?d also like to give her a spot of advice: you can?t hide anything in satin. Satin will reveal your every bump and lump and Spanx. This skirt does a disservice to Kim and her weight loss efforts, I?m just saying. Oh, and look at Kim?s profile ? her nose looks super-jacked, right? How many different noses has she had? Good God.
Meanwhile, Kim also went to the BlogHer 16 conference in LA on Friday. She basically did a Q&A session with SheKnows? Elisa Camahort Page. Kim ended up talking about a lot of different stuff, and E! compiled a long list of her comments ? go here to read. Some highlights:
On rumors that giving birth to Saint was a publicity stunt: “So truly, I was not posting about my son because I wanted him to be able to go to the park every single day like a normal human being and nobody knows who he is… He’s eight months old now, and people thought he didn’t exist. People thought I had a whole fake baby and I made this whole thing up because I wasn’t posting about it. And to me, that’s so ridiculous.”
On what she’s learned from Kanye West: “We do have a really private relationship. He’s very private even though he’s in the business and I’m very open, so he’s really taught me how to become a little bit more private and I’ve taught him about how to be a little bit more open. It really works for us. So I definitely save that part of my home life and my life with my kids I try to hold on to.”
On being a feminist: “Everyone always says, are you a feminist? I don’t think that I am. I don’t like labels. I do what makes me happy and I want women to be confident. I am so supportive of women. I love nothing more than when I’m with all my friends and I love to support women but I’m not a ‘free the nipple-type” of girl. If you’re not comfortable with that, don’t do it! I’m not about the labels. Just be you and be confident in you.”
On why she’s so open about her body: “Because I feel good about myself! I mean, after you have a kid and now after you have two kids there is a feeling. I mean, I lost 70 pounds. So when you dedicate yourself getting up every morning, wake up at six in the morning, feeding one baby, get to go work out for an hour, coming back, feeding another baby, my husband, and then come back? I’m like, ‘I have three people I have to take care of!’ You can just get so caught up in not wanting to be motivated. So I made it a really important thing for my confidence and for me to feel good. Have I posted a new selfie since I lost all my baby weight? I don’t think so!”
On paying attention to her haters: “If you were to ask me this question a few years ago, I would definitely have a different answer. I used to care about all of the comments… I think as you get older you just mature…. I have my family. I have my kids. I don’t need to sit at home and I don’t really have the extra time to look at comments. I know that the hate is out there. When I post something, whether it’s a nude selfie or something, I don’t post it just to get a reaction. I post it because I like the photo. It could be really something simple, so I’m not really looking at what the comments are.”
On being underestimated: “If I don’t sing and I don’t dance but still doing what I’m doing, how easy is my job? I don’t have to do any of that. I don’t have to be on stage like you working so hard but we’re still driving the same car! We’re still living the same life! I don’t mind getting underestimated but I feel for people that, I understand how it could bother them if they were in the same situation? I just love to prove people wrong.”
On her support of gun control: “I am just terrified of everything. I am so paranoid, so afraid… It’s such high anxiety. I’ve never had it but there’s something when you have two kids, you just, I don’t know. So yes, I’ve definitely become more aware. I’ve definitely spoken out more as far as definitely gun control. I just want to be super protective of my kids so I have felt that need.”

?Everyone always says, are you a feminist? I don’t think that I am.? Well, a lot of people agree with her? That was why everyone yelled at her this past spring, when she spoke about feeling empowered by celebrating her body and taking nude selfies. I defended her on feminist grounds, because I fundamentally believe that it?s her body, her choice about ALL things. So I?m disappointed that Kim can?t go the distance and just say ?of course I?m a feminist, feminism is about equality and every woman making her own choices.? Why can?t certain women go to that place? Why do they have to talk around it and say all of these feminist words and then reject the label?
And the ?Saint was a fake baby? thing was always stupid. Of course her pregnancy was real and Saint is a real baby! As if to prove the point, Kim tweeted this absolutely adorable video of Saint laughing this weekend. So cute!

Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West out and about on Sunday in West Hollywood. They went for a date-day lunch without the kids. They went to Ysabel. There?s some confusion about Kim?s new hair look here. Some people believe she?s wearing a wig. Some people believe she just took out her extensions and straightened her hair. Some people believe she got a big haircut. I don?t know? I don?t think it?s a wig? I think she really got her hair cut and/or got her extensions taken out. And it looks good. This is a ?sleek lob,? correct?
As for what she?s wearing, the boots are from Kanye?s Yeezy collection. They cost about $900. They do not look comfortable, although to be fair, I never think Kim looks good in boots. She always looks like she?s cutting off circulation to her legs. Her purse is Louis Vuitton, and I don?t have an ID on the dress. Is she even wearing underwear?
Even though Keeping Up with the Kardashians was nominated for a Teen Choice Award, no one from the family went to the show, which is sort of a downer, right? The TCAs aren?t good enough for the Kardashians. Think about that. Instead, Kim spent the evening live-tweeting with fans about the new episode of KUWTK ? go here to read. After that, she went to a party at The Nice Guy for Kylie Jenner, who turns 19 next week.

Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian in Vegas on Friday night. She attended/hosted a party at Hakkasan at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. Kim is one of the most expensive ?gets? for Vegas nightclubs. If they want to go cheap, they get Scott Disick, you know? I suspect that Kim gets mid-six figures plus crazy accommodations per Vegas appearance. Kim wore vintage Galliano to the event, which? the seams seem off? And those shoes were not the best choice. But Kim looked small, and she was definitely showing off her achievement of her ?goal weight,? which was to lose 70 pounds post-pregnancy. I think that puts her in the 120-130 lb range, according to Kim. It?s always so difficult to assess Kim?s weight because she?s so curvy with those boobs and that butt, but Kim really is very short and compact.
Post-receipts, Kim has returned to business as usual. It?s an interesting move, isn?t it? She?s chosen not to harp on and on about it. She?s chosen not to emphasize, on social media or in interviews, her exposure and takedown of Taylor Swift. Kim fundamentally changed the gossip landscape and she isn?t even really taking a victory lap. I suspect that there will be discussions in future interviews, and I suspect that Kim is waiting patiently to see what Taylor does next. We?ll see. Meanwhile, Kim has been talking to the press, just not about Tay-Tay. She?s been talking about her weight, and she?s been talking about her babies.
Kim Kardashian says her and Kanye West’s second child, son Saint West, is a “Daddy’s boy.” In fact, the baby told her so himself, so to speak.
“He said Dada today, three times!” Kim told E! News exclusively at the MGM Grand nightclub Hakkasan in Las Vegas Friday night. “And I was like, ‘Wait what?’ Kanye was so excited, he was like, ‘I told him to say that.’ And I was like, just I really wanted him to say ‘Mama’ first.”
And the couple’s first and eldest child, daughter North West, is the opposite of her brother.
“I have to go back and see what North said first but I think he’s, like, you know, a Daddy’s boy and North is a Mama’s girl, so we each have one,” Kim told E! News.

I always suspected North was a daddy?s girl, actually. North seems completely attached to both parents, but maybe she?s just more like her mom. As for Saint saying ?Dada? ? the baby is only seven months old! Is he really saying ?Dada? or is he just making sounds?

I?m always worried that interesting, fun gossip is going to fall off a cliff when we get to the sultry summer months, but for several years now, we?ve had some great ?summer stories.? This summer?s amazing Tiddlebanging is the big story, but I think we?re also going to get a lot of pap stroll photos of Kim Kardashian this summer because she?s lost all of her pregnancy weight and she wants people to look at her body. And that?s always fun, because Kim?s style just gets worse and worse. These are photos of Kim in Malibu with her BFF Jonathan Cheban yesterday.
Kim?s ensemble is a DISASTER. And it was glorious. Kim wore a matchy cowgirl look from Peter Dundas at Roberto Cavalli. Kim-In-Cavalli is the new ?Kim in Balmain.? And while I appreciate the fact that a curvy girl like Kim can wear some major designers, she never really looks good in those clothes, probably because those clothes were designed for tall, leggy, curveless women. What bugs me about this look is the WASH. The light acid-wash denim looks so, so bad. I can?t believe we ever thought that denim wash looked good.
Meanwhile, it really does look like the #TaylorSwiftPartyIsOver, especially for the Kardashian-Wests. In an upcoming episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim is going to talk about the Taylor Swift-?Famous? controversy. Kim tells her mother ?I did an interview with GQ,? referencing this interview. Then Kim tells the camera: ?I?ve had it with people blatantly treating my husband a certain way and making it look a certain way, and I?m going to say how I feel.?

While I know a lot of people are already rolling their eyes at the sight of Kim Kardashian on the cover of Forbes, just hold on! Because I read Forbes? cover story and it?s super-interesting. The cover story isn?t really a straight celebrity interview of Kim Kardashian: Businesswoman. It?s more like ?How did Kim Kardashian of all people figure out how to profit so enormously from a mobile game and Kimojis?? Like, if the internet is an enigma, Kim has figured it out completely and she?s one of the smartest ?branded? celebrities online. I?m not even joking. Kim was really pleased with her cover too ? she tweeted: ?Such a tremendous honor to be on the cover of @forbes! I never dreamed this would happen& know my Dad would be proud #NotBadForAGirlWithNoTalent.? Well, doesn?t she have a talent? She can?t sing or dance or act, but she?s good at advertising herself and she?s great at branding. It?s a brave new world where those are legit talents to have.

I found it interesting because they go into the history of how Kim hooked up with Glu Mobile to release the wildly successful Kim Kardashian: Hollywood game, and how involved she is with making sure the game/s are successful. The word Forbes uses is ?shrewd.? As in, Kim is a shrewd businesswoman. She?s not afraid to try new things with online content, emojis and games, and she?s great at building successful ventures from the ground up. The KK: Hollywood game ?has been downloaded 45 million times and generated $160 million in revenue. Forbes estimates that Kardashian has pocketed $45 million from it over that period. This year she earned $51 million to land at No. 42 on Forbes Celebrity 100 list; 40% of her yearly paycheck came from the game.? Here are some assorted quotes from Kim:

The whole cover story details how Kim keeps up (groan) with Glu Mobile and she sends them story ideas for the game, photos of herself, photos of her clothes (all of which will be used in-game) and more. Kim sounds impressively involved and detail-oriented. Does anyone else wonder if Kim should take over as Kanye?s manager at some point? I bet she could do wonders for his career, just at an organizational level. I?m not even joking.
