I hope you guys know that I?m going to use these dumb neon-wig photos of Kim Kardashian for the next few months. She is so? tacky. My God. Kim has been in Miami with Foodgod Cheban or whatever his name is, plus some other friends and whatever. I assume the Miami trip is part of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, especially since she?s been really extra about getting pap?d during this trip. Kim was out last night at Prime One Twelve restaurant with Foodgod and Larsa Pippen.
According to Backgrid, the photo agency, Kim ?arrived in a white Ferreri and was seen leaving in a green Lamborghini?? As in, she wanted a neon lime Lambo to perfectly coordinate with her neon wig. Because doesn?t everyone do that when they go out to dinner? Apparently, Kim did bring her kids on this Miami trip, as they were seen on a yacht together earlier in the day. Where?s Kanye? Do I even want to know?
Beyond the wig, I do think Kim?s weight loss looks good. Again, I?m not going to analyze it I just assume her slimmed-down figure is a product of diet, exercise and surgery. Her face looks like CGI though.

Ahead of the latest season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians? premiere, Kim Kardashian sat down and wrote an essay for Wealthsimple about life, money and her three kids. Kim is still trying to convince us that she doesn?t spoil her kids, which? I still don?t believe. At all. I?ve seen the ?grams North, Saint and Chicago all have full wardrobes of designer clothes. They travel the world by private jet and their family vacations involve million-dollar Airbnbs. But I do believe some of what she writes, oddly enough. Some highlights from Kim?s essay:
On gift-giving: I worry about giving my kids too much. We dont do gifts. They have to really earn it. But we talk about it all the time, about not getting too much and just trying to be as grounded and well-rounded as possible.?
Post-Paris robbery, she changed: I dont like presents anymore. I just dont want that stuff right now. I dont buy a lot. I used to buy myself something every birthday and just be like, OK, if I work hard all year then I can treat myself to something?like a car or a pair of earrings. Something that I really wanted all year. But Ive been getting rid of my cars. I used to really care. I loved cars. I still like them and I have a certain look, but I dont care like I used to.
She always worked: I always was working. I never asked people for money. That was never really my thing. I always just figured it out. Now, Kim is unsure if it will be the same for her kids. Its a different time. I dont know if Im going to do that. Id have to discuss that with Kanye.
She?s on a strict budget: I dont talk about specifics; I find that to be tacky and just inappropriate. Rest assured, she writes, Im really on top of my financial situation. I do everything. I see everything, write every check?Im on top of every last detail. I was always taught to be like that. Its definitely helpful to have a manager or someone pay your bills so they go out on time, but I think once you start giving too much control away, you could really lose sight of what you have and what you need to do, especially if you spend a lot and have a big lifestyle.
She knows what she spends monthly: [I know] what it costs to run my household. Its hard all the time to stick within a budget, for sure, but I think its a good guideline. And Im the type of personality where Im like, OK, I really want to buy this, so I have to make this in order to be able to buy that for myself.? So, Ill make it happen.
She?s been downsizing: which has been making my managers happy? Kanye is a bigger shopper than me. He has big archives of stuff

What I believe: I believe Kim is good with money, and that she knows where her money is going, and that she doesn?t spend like a drunken sailor. I also believe that Kanye is terrible with money, and that he should just put Kim in charge of every financial decision for their family and their careers. I also believe that Kim more than any of the other daughters is her mother?s daughter. Kim learned a lot from her dysfunctional relationship with Lucifer?s Homegirl. And I think Kim is going to be a lot like Kris, especially with the kids.
All that being said, I enjoyed this I wish more celebrities would talk about fiscal responsibility and how they deal with the wealth they?ve amassed.

At the MTV Movie & TV Awards, Kim Kardashian wore Fulani braids. It was not the first time, nor was it the first time she didn?t acknowledge the history of the braids, nor did she acknowledge her history of culture-vulturing at the time. In a later interview, Kim was basically like ?Yeah I know they?re Fulani braids but I do what I want.? Well, Kim is still trying to explain it. She attended the BeautyCon event in LA over the weekend, and she had more sh-t to say. Some highlights:
On the braids: ?I?ve definitely had my fair share of backlash when I?ve worn braids. I?ve been fortunate to be able to travel around the world and see so many different cultures that have so many different beauty trends.?
She?s doing it for North: ?My daughter actually loves braids, like this last time I wore [them], she helps me pick out a look and will show me pictures. I just think if it comes from a place of love and you?re using it as cultural inspiration, then I think it is okay. Sometimes I think maybe if you don?t communicate where you got the inspiration from ? and I?ve done that in the past ? then people might not understand it. But yeah, I think as long as it comes from a place of love and you?re getting inspired, then it is okay.?
The internet is a bad place: ?What?s crazy is you can be having the best day, you can be posting the best pictures of yourself or whatever makes you happy, have one million positive comments and you?ll see one negative comment and it?ll ruin your day. But I really honestly it doesn?t really affect me anymore because I try to look at the positive side of things. I might reevaluate it when the time comes that my kids want phones and want to be on social media, but all in all I?ve tried to look at the positive of it.?

Some of you suggested that Kim could make the valid case for culture-vulturing by saying that she wants to show her African-American daughter that they can both wear their hair however they want. It feels like Kim is coming close to saying that, by using North as an excuse. Except Kim was culture-vulturing before North even came around? but I guess we?re not supposed to remember that. In some ways, I can see what Kim is doing by setting an example for North. In other ways, I think ?as long as it comes from a place of love? is a massive cop-out. People do some really screwed up, racist sh-t and then say ?but it came from a place of love so it?s all cool, right??

I?m old enough to remember when the first wave of celebrities were trying to make Idaho into ?the new out-of-the-way celebrity hot spot.? Demi Moore and other flocked to Idaho and there were numerous articles about how Idaho was practically JUST INVENTED because celebrities went there. These days, I think Wyoming is The New Idaho. Wyoming is where Kanye West made his retreat last year. Kanye holed up in Jackson Hole for more than a year, working and forcing other artists to travel there to collaborate. He set up a studio for himself and he actually threw a listening party there too. But now it seems like the Kardashian-Wests have rediscovered Idaho, the OG Random Celebrity Hot-Spot.
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian joined a growing group of celebs to flee L.A. for the calmer vibes of Idaho, joining the likes of Wayne Gretzky, Adam Levine and Harry Styles and its especially interesting given the political divide between Coeur dAlene and Hollywood. Kimye and fam holed up at a $1.85 million cabin in Coeur dAlene over the holiday an area thats recently become a hot spot for celebs.
Coeur dAlene is super conservative 66% of voters chose Trump in the 2016 general election. That same year, there were reports of KKK activity in the city. Its in stark contrast to everything about Kim and Kanye. It seems, however, celebs are left alone when they visit, regardless of their political views.
The crib Kim and Kanye rented has 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths and incredible views of the water. Not to mention, its got plenty of fun stuff for the kids including an inflatable aqua park. As for the decor its a far cry from their Hidden Hills mansion with a ton of wood, stonework and homey touches. Sources in the area tell us the Gretzkys regularly visit and Adam Levine and Harry Styles just to name a few recently vacationed there.
The Wests have really made the Rocky Mountains a second home in the last year, with a lengthy stay in Wyoming, where Kanye perfected his 5 recently released albums.

What I find remarkable sort of is that Kanye seems to be the one driving this ?let?s get out of LA? thing. Kim is an LA girl. She loves LA. That?s her home, that?s her base, that?s her blood. But she?s putting in the work to pretend to enjoy the simpler, flyover-state life. Chica even tried wakeboarding in Idaho and she snapchatted the whole thing. She?s terrible at wakeboarding, it?s sort of hilarious.

Kim Kardashian is giving exclusive interviews all over the place. This week, she spoke to both The Hollywood Reporter and Entertainment Tonight, and good lord, she talked about almost everything. I wasn?t interested at all regarding her comments about Khloe, so I?m not including them she just went on and on about how Khloe is back in LA, with Tristan, and yadda yadda, the whole family is back together, whatever. I am interested in what she says about Donald Trump and North West?s chore chart. Some highlights:
Her political activism: ?It?s a longer-term mission for me. I never started out thinking I was being political. I just thought I was helping people and I knew that I had the opportunity or the resources, so I used them and, you know, it worked out really well for Alice. I definitely saw a lot of compassion from the White House with her and I really do believe it?s just the beginning.
What she thinks of the family separation issue: ?It is really complex. It?s heartbreaking. When you see those images, it breaks your heart and I hope that it all gets resolved. You don?t want to see these things?. Political issues can be so divisive. I try to see all sides, especially after this experience [referring to the controversy over her visit to the White House]. There?s obviously a lot that we don?t agree with, but I want him [President Trump] to win. I want him to succeed, because it?s our country. It?s so crazy that everyone doesn?t want that.
Why North?s hair was straight in recent photos: ?She wanted straight hair and I straightened her hair one time. It?s funny, because online everyone thought that we pressed it and did this whole thing. It was just a flat iron. I even read that she had extensions on! She has curly hair, so when you straighten her hair, it?s gonna look really long. I can?t believe people didn?t get that? It was her birthday and all she wanted was to try to have her hair straightened. She and [her cousin] Penelope had a unicorn party, so I said, ?You can do it for your party and you can do it when we go to New York if you like it.? She liked it, so we did it when we went to New York too and that?s it. You know, I?m not gonna let her straighten her hair all the time, but if she wants it that way two or three days a year, then that?s fine with me. She loved it, but she loves her curly hair, too.?
North isn?t as spoiled as you think: What I do for her birthday, she gets gifts and then she has to be really good and do her chores and walk her dog. We have a chore chart that she has to make her bed. She has so many things she has to do if she wants to get something, so she doesnt really get a whole lot of stuff like you would think.
North is a Gemini: Shes a Gemini, so shes a little bit of both [me and Kanye West]. She definitely has Kanyes outgoing personality and will say whats on her mind no matter what it is and who it might offend. But then shes sweet like me. So shes a little bit of both.

As for what she says about North and North?s hair and her chore chartI don?t believe that North will only be ?allowed? to have straight hair a few days a year. I just doubt it. But I do believe North probably has a chore chart.

As we discussed earlier this week, Kim Kardashian wore Fulani braids to the MTV Movie and TV Awards, which aired on Monday night. I said that she was culturally appropriating because that?s exactly what she was doing. She does it all the time. She did it earlier this year when she had blonde hair and she claimed, at the time, that the braids were ?Bo Derek braids,? like it?s not enough she?s appropriating black women but she actually has to go out of her way to give credit to a white woman for the braided hairstyle. To be honest, I think Kim would still be called out for appropriation even if she came out every time and said ?I love these traditionally black-culture braids.? The thing is, she never does that. Kim chatted with Bustle this week and they asked her about the braids and cultural appropriation. Her answer was not good.
Why she wore braids to the MTV Awards: I actually didnt see backlash. I actually did that look because North said she wanted braids and asked if I would do them with her. So we braided her hair and then we braided my hair, Kardashian West explains. North West, Kardashian Wests 5-year-old daughter, has naturally curly hair and is often spotted wearing them natural or in braids. Its clear that Kardashian West supports and celebrates her daughters natural, biracial hair and it also makes sense that North would ask her mom to match her hairdo.
The backlash on ?Bo Derek braid?: I [do] remember the backlash when I had the blonde hair and that I called them Bo Derek braids. But I obviously know theyre called fulani braids and I know the origin of where they came from and Im totally respectful of that. Im not tone deaf to where I dont get it. I do get it, Kardashian West says. When the mother of three wears her hair in braids, she claims she wears them in honor and with respect of the culture who originated the style ? the Fula people from West Africa and the Sahel Region ? and at the very least, to celebrate her daughters hair.
She means no disrespect: Maybe if I had come out and explained that from the beginning instead of calling them Bo Derek braids, then it wouldnt have gotten such backlash. But in no way am I ever trying to disrespect anyones culture by wearing braids. If anything, my daughter was so excited to see me get matching braids with her. [When] we did her hair in these braids, she was so excited.

Honestly, she?s full of it. I remember the ?Bo Derek braids? controversy, since it was just in January/February of this year. It?s wasn?t JUST that she called them ?Bo Derek braids,? it?s that when people were like ?appropriating bitch please,? she got nasty about it and started posting more photos of the braids and saying she didn?t give a fk about the ?haters.? If she knew they were called fulani braids, why didn?t she just call them that in the first place? And it?s not like this sh-t started this year, and it?s not like this is the first time Kim and her sisters have stolen something from black culture and then passed it off as something they invented.
Also: it makes me uncomfortable to see her using North as a shield from criticism. Yes, North is a mixed race girl and she will continue to be curious about braids and different kinds of hairstyles. Kim has every right to educate her daughter and allow North to experiment with her hair and all of that. But the answer to every criticism that Kim faces should not be ?but my daughter wanted it, thats why I did it!?

Out of all the Kardashian-Jenners, I think Kim would have made the best lawyer. I know that family isn?t really a deep pool of brain cells, but out of all of Robert Kardashian?s children, Kim is the one who probably should have followed in her father?s footsteps and gone to law school. She?s the one obsessively watching Dateline and assorted true-crime shows. She?s the one using her celebrity to shine a light on mandatory-minimums and prison reform. So why didn?t she go to law school? I suspect it?s because Kris Jenner had more influence than Robert Kardashian. And Kris was determined to make the whole family famous off of Kim?s ass.
Anyway, Kim is figuring out that she actually has some power to do something other than shill makeup. Kim took a personal interest in Alice Marie Johnson?s case, then personally lobbied Donald Trump for Johnson?s pardon/commutation, and it worked. A woman is now free because of Kim?s interest. So Kim is doing it again she?s getting involved with a case/conviction of a death-row inmate.
Kim Kardashian is on another case. The reality-TV queen tweeted about the plight of San Quentin Prison death-row inmate Kevin Cooper ? asking California Gov. Edmund ?Jerry? Brown to retest DNA evidence in his case.
?Governor Brown, can you please test the DNA of Kevin Cooper?? Kardashian, 37, tweeted twice on Saturday, along with New York Times articles about the case. Cooper, 59, was convicted of the murders of Douglas and Peggy Ryen, their 10-year-old daughter Jessica and her friend, 10-year-old Chris Hughes, in Chino Hills, Calif., 1985. Since his conviction, Cooper has maintained his innocence and has exhausted all appeals for his conviction, according to the San Diego Tribune.
Some of Cooper?s advocates argue that the San Bernardino Sheriff?s Department tampered with DNA evidence to frame Cooper and that this evidence ? found on a t-shirt Cooper says he never wore ? should be retested. In an op-ed on Sunday, New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof wrote that the sole survivor of the murders, 8-year-old Joshua Ryen, told investigators the killers had been three or four white men ? but that cops preferred to focus on Cooper instead.
Last month, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-San Francisco) also called on the governor to allow the DNA to be retested. Gov. Brown hasn?t announced his decision yet. His spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

I?m including one of Kim?s tweets below. It sounds like an interesting case. What will happen if, at some point, Kim advocates for someone who turns out to be guilty of something heinous? I mean, it does seem like Kevin Cooper?s case should be reexamined and they should definitely test the DNA, but it?s also possible that the cops do end up arresting and convicting the right people sometimes too. Will Kim get any blowback if that happens? Will cops take issue with Kim?

Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and North West out and about in New York this weekend. It feels like the Kardashian-Wests were doing a week-long celebration for North?s fifth birthday the birthday girl got multiple parties, shopping excursions, ice cream, candy and lots of paparazzi. Whenever I see North, I?m just struck by how much she looks like Kanye, and how Kim always says that North is so much like Kanye. Honestly, I hope North grows up to be more like her mom, but we?ll see.
Meanwhile, Kim?s entire interview with Van Jones aired on CNN on Friday. She did this interview soon after she convinced Donald Trump to commute the sentence of Alice Marie Johnson. Kim has basically been doing a (well-earned) victory lap in the press ever since, but I?ll give her some credit: this experience had a positive effect on Kim. It?s like she suddenly realized she has more power than she ever knew. She might make a habit of this, personally lobbying dictators and politicians. Or she might run for office. That?s what Van Jones asked her whether she would consider running for president:
The Alice Marie Johnson commutation has opened her eyes: I honestly saw that if I could use my platform just to do something for one person, that it opens the conversation for so much more and for other people to want to do the same thing. If more people would just put their personal feelings aside and talk about really important issues that have to be discussed, then so much more can get done.?
Whether she would ever run for office: I guess never say never. But thats not going to be like, Kims running. Thats not where I am.?

I?m including the short video clip below Kim is pretty clear that she?s not completely shutting down the idea that she could run for office, but truly, that?s not where she is right now. Besides, I actually think that IF Kim did run for office some day, she would actually want to work her way up like, she would run for mayor of Calabasas (or mayor of LA), then maybe governor of California. Then after a few terms as governor, she would run for president, because why not?

Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian out and about in New York on Thursday. The night photos of Kim where she?s wearing the sleeveless, high-neck black ensemble are from the big listening party for Nas?s new album, which Kanye produced. The album is called Nasir, and the reviews from people coming out of the listening party are that the album is actually pretty great. I mean, I?d still like to point out that Nas?s ex-wife Kelis very recently came out and talked about how he physically abused her throughout their marriage. But I guess we?re talking about music now.
As for Kim?s look at the party? I feel like she?s still being styled by Kanye, and Kanye always has an issue with footwear. The ensemble itself is okay I don?t like Kim in mock-turtles, but whatever, and I actually thought this was a little black dress until I saw that no, it?s actually a pair of bicycle shorts and a mock-t. Ugh. The boots are heinous though. And I don?t really get the obsession with these too-short crossbody bags, especially for large-breasted women. If you?re a dude or a small-chested woman, by all means, wear a crossbody bag that is too small. But if you?re built like me or like Kim, it just looks awful and uncomfortable. I think the whole ensemble is from Kanye?s new Yeezy collection, so Kim is just supporting her husband. Shes not his best model.
She wore a different pair (?) of ugly boots during the day on Thursday too, when she was walking around New York with North West and Jonathan Cheban. Look at North! I know North?s favorite artist just by looking at her: she?s an Ariana Grande super-fan. Kim even lets North do her hair like Ari. Which is pretty cute. Apparently, they all went out for ice cream.
