Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk are still on, and still engaged. The more I hear about this pairing, the more it makes sense to me, honestly. He?s quite content to let Gwyneth be ?the star,? even though he?s a pretty well-connected guy too. He?s just not in-your-face about it like Dame Goop, who has to name-drop every time she takes a breath. That being said, I would imagine Gwyneth?s celebrity status and great connections have something to do with the fact that no major weekly has even raised the issue of the fact that Brad left his wife for Gwyneth, and that their relationship began while both of them were married to other people. But both Gwyneth and Brad divorced their spouses and now they?ll be married by the end of the summer.
The Hamptons is buzzing that the summer will end with a bang ? Gwyneth Paltrow?s wedding to Hollywood producer Brad Falchuk. We hear that the nuptials will be at Paltrow?s Hamptons home. A source says the wedding will be ?at the end of the summer, after Labor Day.?
Page Six exclusively revealed previous plans for Paltrow?s bachelorette party in Mexico, as well as the couple?s engagement party hosted by Ryan Murphy for 400 guests that many thought could be a surprise wedding.
Instead, Paltrow will opt for a home ceremony. She recently said of her plans: ?I?m very busy so I?m actually not that involved in it.?

A late-summer wedding in the Hamptons? well, it?s not the most elite thing in the world, but it?s not peasant-y either. I would have thought that Gwyneth would be more of a ?let?s do a destination wedding in Europe!? person. But maybe that?s too nouveau riche, too Kardashian. The real elites don?t have to be so showy! They just get married in the backyard of their Hamptons estates. Also: I hate myself for wanting to see her wedding gown. I doubt we?ll see it though do you think she will give away photos to the weeklies? Maybe she?ll post one or two photos on Instagram, or maybe on Goop. Hm.

Howard Stern interviewed Gwyneth Paltrow for his SiriusXM show on Wednesday, and there are so many quotes from this interview, it?s hard to keep up. Different people had different takeaways from the interview I thought the most interesting part was when Gwyneth talked about her engagement to Brad Falchuk, and how they?re definitely not going to have any kids together (which means the theory about her already being preg is BS). Other people might find the quotes about Ben Affleck and Brad Pitt more interesting. Or maybe you?re more interested in Gwyneth droning on and on yet again about her conscious uncoupling. Some assorted quotes from the Stern interview:
On Brad Falchuk: Gwyneth says they don?t even live together yet, but that their wedding will ?hopefully? be this year, and she?s ready to give marriage a ?proper shot.? She also says, ?I think that theres something really beautiful about marriage. And I think that Brad is somebody whos extremely?hes really intelligent and hes very emotionally intelligent. I think hes a really good person to try this with, ya know, hes very self-aware. Hes got a lot of emotional maturity.
Whether she wants more kids: ?Neither of us want more kids. We?re on the same team.? That said, Paltrow gushed that the TV writer, 47, is ?fantastic? with her daughter, Apple, 14, and son Moses, 12, both of whom she shares with her ex-husband, Chris Martin. Meanwhile, Falchuk shares son Brody and daughter Isabella with his ex-wife, Suzanne Bukinik. ?It?s always tricky with kids and trying to gently blend families It?s hard.?
Whether she even remembers feeling romantic love for Chris Martin at this point: No. not at all?I cant imagine that at all.
Stern asks if she thinks she was ever really in love with Ben Affleck: Its interesting I think theres certain boyfriends where you are trying to work stuff out, right? Like youre trying to heal certain stuff from your childhood and he was very much a lesson in that way. He?Im not sure exactly what I was trying to heal in that instance but it was, he was, ya know, it was specific.
How Brad Pitt protected her from Weinstein: We had one instance in a hotel room where [Harvey] tried towhere he made a pass at me. I really kind of stood up to him, I told my boyfriend at the time, Brad Pitt. Brad Pitt, we were at the opening of Hamlet on Broadway, that Ralph Fiennes was in Hamlet, and Harvey was there, and Brad Pitt, it was like the equivalent of throwing him against the wall, you know, energetically. It was so fantastic because what he did was, he leveraged his fame and power to protect me, at a time when I didnt have fame or power yet. It was, it was fantastic. Hes a good person. And Harvey was never inappropriate with me again.

I think my problem is that I can always hear Gwyneth?s half-nasal voice saying everything with the bored sigh of privilege, so everything seems shadier than it really is. I will never get tired of Gwyneth talking on and on about how she feels nothing for Chris Martin at this point. I will never get tired of her awkwardness of having to address Ben Affleck and how gross he is. But, as I said, I?m most interested in the Falchuk stuff. It feels like she?s saying that Falchuk is the first emotionally mature, self-aware dude she?s ever been with? Maybe that?s in direct comparison to Chris Martin.

Say what you will about Gwyneth Paltrow, but I get the feeling that she?s pretty good with money and financial planning and investments. Gwyneth was born wealthy, and she used to make a lot of money as an actress. Now she makes a lot of money off of her Goop lifestyle/wellness/fashion brand. She has investors, she has sponsors, and what can I say? It?s a good moment to be in the pseudoscience and snake-oil-sales business. I also got the feeling that ?money? was one of the big reasons why Gwyneth and Chris Martin?s divorce and conscious uncoupling was so drawn out they were bickering, behind the scenes, about money and real estate and who got what.
All of which to say? Gwyneth?s husband-to-be Brad Falchuk is marrying a woman who is very rich. Brad isn?t poor, by any means: he?s a successful television producer/showrunner type, but he?s definitely the ?beta? to Gwyneth?s alpha in every sense, especially financially. So is Gwyneth protecting her goopy assets? You can bet your ?90s flat-iron on it.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk are getting closer to saying I do. A source confirms to E! News that the Avengers actress and TV writer have a prenup in place ahead of their wedding.
Yes, there is a prenup. It was very easy and they were both agreeable to the terms, the insider tells us. This was just one of the steps in their wedding planning process. They have both been married before and felt this needed to happen.
The source continued, They each have assets and children from previous marriages so it makes sense to have an agreement in place. There were no surprises and it was a quick process.

I?ve never really thought of Brad Falchuk as a golddigger, but it could be seen that way from certain angles: he dumped his wife, the mother of his children, when someone richer came along. He played the long game and now he?s about to marry one of the richest women in Hollywood. But no, I still don?t think of him as a golddigger. I think he really does love her and he?s happy to be with such an alpha. He?s happy to be the plus-one in Gwyneth?s elite world, which is something that Chris Martin always struggled with. Anyway, good for them for doing the prenup with so little drama.

Like most things in her mind, Gwyneth Paltrow is winning at being engaged again ? and she can prove it. Everyone is so normal, adjusted and mostly importantly ? cool – in her family, that her two main guys, the former Mr. Paltrow, Chris Martin, and the soon-to-be Mr. Paltrow, Brad Falchuk, can sit at a table for an entire brunch and not come to blows. Gwyneth Paltrow and ?dieting? go together like peanut butter and chocolate. As much as Gwyneth pretends to eat peasant food, she?s never really been a fan. She?s always been a rabid fad-dieter, and she?s constructed an entire Goop-industry and series of cookbooks around her f–ked up relationship with food. She?ll try any diet, especially if it comes wrapped up in fake science and whatever hokey holistic bulls–t you can sell her. She?s always been this way, for as long as she?s been famous. So it is surprising to hear that back when she was with Chris Martin, she ate ?nothing? according to her private chef at the time?
What’s it like to cook for Hollywood’s rich and famous? Celebrity chef Kate McAloon has an idea. In an interview with news.com.au, McAloon, 59, dished on what was it like to cook for former celebrity couples?including Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom and Courteney Cox and David Arquette.
Starting off with Paltrow and Martin, McAloon said she started working for the actress and Coldplay band member around the time Paltrow was filming Iron Man with Robert Downey Jr. The couple announced that they were separating (or “conscious uncoupling,” as they called it) in 2014; however the divorce wasn’t finalized until 2016. Apparently, the Goop leader and her ex had very lean diets.
“I had a brief from their assistants … they eat nothing,” she told news.com.au. “They are very strict. They avoided any sugars, anything sweet, no dairy, just more vegetables. When I got there, I was trying to stick to the brief,” she continued. “And I realized as I started adding more ingredients in, they said, ?Your food is getting better.’ That’s what happens when you eat more than grass.”
McAloon also worked for Kerr while she was still in a relationship with Pirates of the Caribbean actor Bloom?Kerr has since married Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel. It should come as no surprise that the supermodel and her ex had a healthy diet. “[Miranda and Orlando] both love my curries, light chicken or vegetarian curries with coconut, as well as quinoa, salmon and vegetables,” McAloon told the news outlet. “I do a chicken salad with a lot of fresh herbs and chia puddings for breakfast.”

McAloon worked for Chris and Gwyneth circa 2008 then and yeah, no surprise, they didn?t eat anything. I bet Gwyneth was SHOCKED and APPALLED when she learned that her private chef was, like, sneaking some carbs into their family meals. I truly don?t understand famous people or rich people – if you?re going to actually hire a private chef, why not let the chef do their job and make good food? If I had a private chef, I would demand Chicken Kiev and homemade mashed potatoes and brownies and amazing Caesar salads. Money is wasted on the rich.

One of the funniest things, to me, about Gwyneth Paltrow?s elitism and slavish devotion to her one-percenter brand is that Gwyneth is widely seen as a gauche new-money peasant by those true blue-blood aristocrats. Like, the people who are actually really rich and powerful and old-money don?t really give a crap about Gwyneth and her Goop. Here?s a perfect example: Gwyneth wants to build a huge, gauche mansion in Montecito, one of the wealthiest zip codes in America and home (or second-homed) to many old-money, seriously wealthy and elite people. Gwyneth bought two lots of land and she?s submitted her architectural plans several times to the Montecito Board of Architectural Review. They?ve made Gwyneth?s architect change the plans several times already because, oh right, Gwyneth is gauche and new-money and the house she wants sounds like a McMansion monstrosity which will destroy the neighborhood. So, before Gwyneth even starts building on the land, her neighbors already hate her.
Actress Gwyneth Paltrow?s 14,000-square-foot plans to build a new home on two lots she bought last year in Montecito got a tentative green light from the Montecito Board of Architectural Review despite intense opposition from a neighbor who complained the new structure would block his views. It was the fourth time Paltrow?s Tollis Avenue proposal had gone before the board, and it won?t be the last.
Initially, the board appeared unanimously poised to send the design back to the drawing board for further modification, but after Paltrow?s architect Tony Spann?????former chair of the Montecito Board of Architectural Review?????spoke, three of the five boardmembers changed their minds. Spann argued vigorously that the elevations had already been reduced substantially. The designs?????a two-story home with 12,000-square-feet of living space plus 2,100-square-feet of carport, gazebo, and guest house?????secured conceptual approval last week, but the real detailed plans have yet to be submitted.
Opposing the project is neighbor Michael MacElhenny, son of the late Bernie MacElhenny, one of Santa Barbara?s more legendary and controversial developers. MacElhenny?s agents argued that the roofline of Paltrow?s 22-foot high structure will occlude his views, and they are pushing for further reductions.

Michael MacElhenny?s spokesman Andrew Rice also went to Page Six (which is hysterical to me, that her neighbors are talking sh-t about her to Page Six) and said: ?She?s created an uproar with neighbors on all three sides. Michael and the other neighbors have tried to work with her, and they?ve gotten nowhere.? The neighbors say the home is just ?too big, too tall and incompatible with the adjacent houses, and it blocks their views.? Rice also points out that Gwyneth has left a ?trail of tears? on two continents with her selfish architectural demands, like how she erected an enormous nine-foot-tall gate on her Brentwood property. I remember there were a lot of issues with her London home too. Anyway, Rice says that Gwyneth?s architect is lying about all of the changes that he?s made to the plans that the house will still be a huge f–king eyesore. How gauche. How dclass.

For a few months now, I?ve gotten the feeling that Gwyneth Paltrow is trying to make her Goop more appealing to the peasants. Even more specifically, I think she?s trying to appeal to those ?flyover states? which she has, historically, written off in previous years. While Gwyneth is just as clueless and ridiculous as ever, now that she?s running Goop like a for-real business, she?s trying to increase her market. That?s how I explain this new Goop post about fast-food. Gwyneth doesn?t even call anyone a fattie or tell anyone to simply NOT eat anything, both of which are her baseline pieces of advice. So what fast-food recommendations is she giving us for ?clean? or ?cleanish? food? You can see the full Goop post here. Some highlights:
Dairy Queen: The Goop recommendation is a ?50-calorie fudge bar,? but if you?re at DQ, how are you not getting a blizzard, for the love of God?
Chipotle: Goop recommends ?A salad bowl, with some brown rice if you?re hungry. Load up on the veggies, skip the dairy, add black beans, and you?re good to go.?
Wendy?s: Surprisingly, Goop seems fine with Wendy?s and she recommends the ?Power Mediterranean Chicken Salad? with no hummus (which is insane because chickpeas are great for you). She also recommends getting the baked potato (with no sour cream) instead of the fries.
Subway: Basically, order a veggie-heavy sandwich and then don?t eat the bread.
Panda Express: get grilled Mandarin chicken with brown rice and no sauce.

She goes on to list some other places, like McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, KFC, etc, and inevitably she recommends some special order of ?I?d like this salad but take off half the stuff,? which generally defeats the purpose of fast food, but whatever. I feel like Gwyneth just compiled this at gunpoint, actually. It goes against every one of her instincts. Basically, her advice for every fast-food joint is ?JUST ORDER THE SALAD AND DON?T EVEN EAT HALF OF IT.?

Back in my youth (my late teens), I would go braless. Considering I was a C-cup at the age of 13, you can imagine that I?m not the kind of woman who should ever really go braless. When I did it back then, it was mostly out of a belief that no one cared, and why not go free? But these days? no, I can?t do it. Personally, I feel sloppy and that has everything to do with being big-busted and feeling too ?exposed? without a bra. That being said, I don?t have a big bra collection. I?m always looking for the best brands to fit my size and I tend to just stick with the same brand/design in like three different colors. Decent-quality bras are expensive and I tend not to experiment, and I wear a good bra down to the very end.
But as we?ve learned time and time again, we are mere peasants and Gwyneth Paltrow is here to advise us on what we should be doing, bra-wise. According to Goop, we should be burning our bras. I?m shocked that this suggestion doesn?t come with some pseudo-science about bra-wearing leading to an allergy to carbs. No, Gwyneth says that we should burn our bras because of bad relationship vibes. As in, if you?re getting over a bad breakup, you should burn the bras you wore during that relationship.
On Thursday, Goop published an extensive guide to getting rid of your old lingerie, and, spoiler, it?s not just ?throw it in the trash.? Suzannah Galland, a ?life advisor and relationship expert,? says you should burn your bras, not as a feminist gesture, but because the ghosts of your old lovers are hanging out in there. ?The lingerie you wore with past lovers can carry the toxic residue of those relationships, along with painful memories,? she writes. ?While we might not think to trash lingerie that once made us feel so good ? or that we spent a lot of money on ? it?s a powerful, healing gesture to make.?
Here?s how she says to go about it:
1. Find a safe place where you can light a fire. (Why not invite a few close friends to join you, too?)
2. Before you start, you might want to write out a few words, or recite a prayer to help release and forgive.
3. Throw your needs-to-go lingerie into the fire one piece at a time.
4. Shout out the name(s) of the lover(s) you associate with each piece as you go.
5. Watch intently as the pieces burn. Know that your past is recycling into the ethers, liberating your future.
So if you happen to catch several different women screaming ?Brad!? over a pit of flames this weekend, now you know why.

Don?t get me wrong, I understand the symbolism and I?m not opposed to a ritualistic cleansing fire either. I?m all for burning photos, burning love letters, burning his favorite t-shirt that you ?forgot? to return. But burning the bras you wore during the relationship seems like a step too far? Especially if you are one of those elite women who are at the core of Goop?s clientele. Surely they?re spending a lot on their La Perla bras and it?s ridiculous to burn them. WHY NOT JUST WASH THEM??? Wash away the bad boyfriend. It?s probably better for the environment too.

Whenever I see Gwyneth or another big-name celebrity at these kinds of smaller ?launches? of, like, a watch or a lipstick, I always wonder how much they?re getting paid just to do the event. Because you know Gwyneth wouldn?t go to a watch launch if she wasn?t getting paid. When I first glanced through these photos, I thought she looked very ?refreshed,? but as I looked closely? maybe it?s just makeup? Maybe it?s her softer-looking hair too. That?s a good lesson for Goop ? she looks younger when she stops with the center-part and flat-ironed look.
Meanwhile, did you know that there?s a new Goop fragrance? She?s not calling it Goop: The Perfume, because she doesn?t have a sense of humor about herself. The Goop fragrance is called Winter, or Edition 01 or both. And of course Gwyneth ? who has been the face of other fragrance campaigns before ? can?t simply introduce her new perfume. No. She has to pontificate about how horrible every other perfume is because of ?endocrine-disrupting chemicals.? You might as well be spraying yourself with red hot death!!!
Gwyneth Paltrow is on a mission to turn everyone’s beauty routine green. She’s done skincare. She’s done makeup. But, one frontier she had yet to conquer was fragrance, one of the notoriously more difficult products to swap out for organic alternatives. Gwyneth, who at one point admitted her “wardrobe of fragrances” included 50 options (and was also once the face of a perfume), recently came to terms with the fact that there’s a lot of mystery hiding in the scents she knew and loved.
“Fragrance which I’ve used up to this point is actually really at best not transparent at all and at worst very toxic,” she tells ELLE.com, pointing out that the ingredient label “fragrance” can be used to hide a cocktail of proprietary, “endocrine-disrupting chemicals” messing up your hormones. Unsatisfied with having to rely on just patchouli at the health food store, she used her goop powers to create her own elevated take on a “sophisticated, complex, beautiful, and also completely non-harmful fragrance.”
Today, goop introduces Edition 01 fragrance ($165) and candle ($72), the first of what will be a series of fragrances inspired by the four seasons. First up: Winter. Why? “I like the coziness of winter, and the family time that comes with it,” Paltrow explains, “Everyone is inside and together and curled up on sofas reading.”
To that end, she worked with nose Douglas Little to craft a smoky, layered mix of cypress, frankincense, labandum, vanilla, clove leaf, juniper, and styrax tree bark, all of which she hopes will make you “recall sitting by the fire place in a library.” She didn’t hint about what future goop fragrances will smell like, but did disclose which smell she curiously can’t stand, “Other people would think it’s a good scent,” she divulged, “I don’t like things that are heavily citrusy. Like kind of lime-y, citrus scents.”
Paltrow muses that the fragrance is not just about smelling nice, but a “holistic” experience. “One of the most amazing things about all these barks and herbs and things that grow in nature is they do all have, from the mystical point of view, healing properties,” she says. Each ingredient promises a range of effects, from aphrodisiac properties to aiding meditation, to balancing depression, to “bringing inner peace.” It’s basically therapy in a bottle.

Ha, the peasants have been wearing the wrong perfume all this time. They?ve thought they were just wearing perfume that smelled good to them. How gauche. How irresponsible. How un-holistic. I will give her this though: I too am not a fan of citrus-y perfumes. I don?t mind a citrus-y shampoo or soap, but I want my perfume to smell really clean, light and feminine, like laundry and flowers. Winter By Goop sounds WAY too heavy for my taste. Cloves, frankincense and vanilla? Nope.
Gwyneth also told Elle that she loves candles, and ?It’s part of my evening ritual, having a smell in the house that’s warming. I like to have a demarcation between the day and the nighttime, so I’ll light some candles, have a glass of wine, and I always have a bath.? Is she selling candles or a Williams & Sonoma catalog?
