Kind of. Tom Cruise taped an interview with MTV Canada’s The After Show to promote his movie Valkryie during which he was asked about The Hills. Specifically, about Spencer and Heidi’s elopement. Cruise, who had to be told what a “Hills” was, gave Spencer some sage advice:
“If the girl wants the wedding, you gotta do the wedding,” Cruise said. “It’s a special occasion, and she’ll remember it forever. Spencer … dude … you’ll realize this later.”
Listen to Tom, he knows how to control women. You lavish them with gifts and whisper sweet nothings in their ear and inject them with muscle relaxants. You don’t force them to get breast augmentation and a nose job and a shotgun wedding in Mexico. That path will always lead to resentment and fleeting fame. The trick is to stretch your 15 minutes into 15 years. Sigh. Spencer will never learn. He’ll always be a poor man’s Tom Cruise.

Though he’s received all kinds of criticism and speculation for the way he’s handled his marriage with Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise saw fit to offer some marital advice to Spencer Pratt on last night’s “Hills” after-show.
The “Vanilla Sky” stud was asked what he would’ve done had he been given Pratt’s circumstances. And rather than elope, Tom said he would’ve definitely done the big family wedding that Heidi Montag was hoping for.

Living in New York City, it’s a no-brainer that FAO Schwartz is the perfect place to take kids. And last night Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, and Suri were all spotted indulging their collective inner-child.
The “Mad Money” mommy watched as her adorable toddler perused the wares at the iconic toy store while also charming the store’s workers in the process.

I’m a firm believer in love at first sight, I knew within hours of meeting my husband that we were “meant to be,” but for some reason, despite the eternal, hopeless romantic in me, I just can’t jump on the fairytale train Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are trying to sell tickets for. In an upcoming interview with the NY Times Style Magazine, Tom once again gushes about his “Kate”. And spins the yarn of their first meeting date, and how he went out and bought an engagement ring before the second one.
When Holmes confessed to him that she dreamed of marrying him as a little girl, “I said I wouldn’t want to disappoint her,” Cruise says.
So, the actor says, he bought Holmes an engagement ring shortly after their first date in 2005.
“At one point, I thought she was going to ask me to marry her first and I put her off by changing the subject,” Cruise adds. “I wanted to ask her.”
In a separate interview, Holmes — who says she “admired him growing up” — admits she also was “completely in love” after their first meeting.
“He was so warm, and I thought, ‘Wow,’” says the star. “I thought, ‘You can be a superstar and a human being.’
“He made me feel so amazing,” adds the actress, who welcomed their daughter Suri in 2006.

First, a gift suggestion for anyone close to Katie Holmes, please buy the girl a thesaurus. If I hear “amazing” one more time from her I’m bound to send her one myself. There really are a vast number of words to describe something you’re fond of, Katie, please think about improving your vocabulary.
Is it just me or does everything Tom Cruise says anymore sound like dialogue from a corny movie? It doesn’t matter what he’s talking about it comes across as lines he’s been given. But it increases tenfold when he’s talking about Katie or Suri. I mean, when she told him she used to dream of marrying him when she was a little girl, he said he wouldn’t want to disappoint her? I see the clapper board and hear the director yelling cut after every line Cruise delivers. Maybe he’s writing a screenplay by acting it out as he goes along.
The thing is, though, they both seem to enjoy living their lives as a movie. Maybe these two crazy, and I mean that in the most literal sense of the word, people really are made for each other and will stand the test of time. They may even end up negotiating an extention on the contract.

Last week Tom Cruise repeatedly called his wife and daughter “strong” and “determined,” emphasizing the strong wills of the women in his life in multiple interviews he gave to promote his holiday release Nazi film, Valkyrie. Katie Holmes has an upcoming interview in NY Times Magazine and she calls herself “strong” now that her husband has graced her with the adjective. Remember how Katie kept saying “amazing,” when Tom used the word so often during the courtship phase of their media blitz relationship? Katie is so strong now that she’s able to remember her talking points and repeat them perfectly. She’s even allowed to ad lib a little:
“There’s a misperception about me that I just became this wallflower, this woman who doesn’t have any control of her life,” the 29-year-old actress tells the New York Times Magazine in the issue hitting newsstands Sunday. “And that’s pretty wrong. From the very beginning, I’ve made choices in my life that have been very strong. ”
Holmes, who married Tom Cruise in Italy in 2006 after a whirlwind romance, says that she had a girlhood crush on her now husband, and was surprised how down-to-earth he was in person.
“When I met Tom I was completely in love and, yes, I admired him growing up ? he’s Tom Cruise! ? When I met him, he was so warm and I thought, Wow! You can be a superstar and a human being. He made me feel so amazing.”
Cruise, 46, who is also interviewed in a separate Q&A in the Times magazine, also addresses his early relationship with Holmes. “I knew I wanted to marry Kate when I met her,” he says. “After our very first date, I was sure. At one point, I thought she was going to ask me to marry her first and I cut her off by changing the subject. I wanted to ask her.”
Asked if Holmes, who has a 2-year-old daughter Suri with Cruise, misses having a more anonymous existence, she says not at all. “My life has expanded. My family and friends are all part of this bigger life.”

Holmes says that all the negative talk about her family doesn’t affect her. She claims to be so busy that she doesn’t “pay attention to all that noise.” She must ignore her husband, too. It’s pretty rude to say you thought your wife was going to propose to you first but you decided to do the manly thing and make sure you were the one who popped the question. Maybe it’s true that Katie is asserting herself in the relationship, though. Tom had to have some motivation for such passive aggressive behavior.

The “Mission Impossible” star carried his little angel in his arms as they bided their time while Katie Holmes was tied up with her Broadway work.

Seriously how is Tom Cruise holding Suri? No one holds a kid like that. It is like she is his trophy and he holds her so the paps will take pictures of him because he is holding her. Look how he tilts hishead so his face gets in the show.
BTW I heard it was a very cold day in NYC yesterday, instead of wrapping her in her coat maybe she be wearing it?
