“Valkyrie” hits theaters nationwide this Christmas Day, December 25th, and last night Tom Cruise was in New York City at the big premiere.
The “Mission Impossible” stud donned a super-suave black suit and tie for the festivities, posing for the paparazzi before heading inside Jazz at Lincoln Center, located in the Time Warner Center.

Tom Cruise was at the premiere of upcoming bomb Valkyrie in NYC and there was something missing…his wife Katie Holmes. Tom is in the same city as his bride and she isn't performing in her Broadway show All My Sons tonight, so I wonder why she wasn't there? I mean he has flown her to LA to attend event while she was working on the show, so why didn't he force her to be his accessory?

Ready to bring his WWII flick to theaters around the world, Tom Cruise was front-and-center at the New York City premiere of “Valkyrie” on Monday evening (December 15).
Held at Rose Hall, Cruise looked suave in a studly grey suit as he mingled with fellow attendees before heading inside for the movie’s showing.

In the thick of his promotional duties for “Valkyrie,” Tom Cruise was spotted arriving at a New York City screening of the film last night (December 14).
The “Eyes Wide Shut” actor smiled for the paparazzi as he was handed a photo of himself with Steven Spielberg on the set of “War of the Worlds,” given to him by the photographer who took the photo.

Hot on the promotional trail, Tom Cruise was spotted on his way out of the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” studio following a plug for his new movie “Valkyrie.”
The “Eyes Wide Shut” stud was gracious enough to stop and chat with fans, sign autographs, and pose for pictures before being escorted away by his bodyguards.

Another day, another Tom Cruise stalker. Once again Tom was granted a restraining order against a man who’s been trying to get the Born on the Fourth of July actor to help him with veterans issues.
A judge has ordered an Iraq war veteran to stay away from Tom Cruise, after the man brandished a gun near a freeway and weeks later tried to hand-deliver a letter to the actor, attorneys said on Thursday.
Edward Van Tassel, 29, wanted to get the letter in Cruise’s hands to enlist him in the cause of helping other veterans, said the former soldier’s attorney, Robert Landheer.
Van Tassel went to Cruise’s Beverly Hills mansion on December 3 and again on Sunday in an attempt to deliver the letter, Landheer said.

Cruise personally didn’t request the order, but because of the man’s history and his persistence in going to the star’s property, the judge issued it on his behalf. Van Tassel was sent to a VA hospital after being arrested during what his attorney calls a protest, with the sign and the weapon on an overpass in Santa Barbara.
Not surprisingly, Cruise’s attorney says that Tom “feels very strongly about veterans of not only the Iraq war, but any veterans of war, and that they should be taken care of.” He’s also quick to point out that Tom didn’t know anything about the incident. Because, you know, being one of the chosen few, as a Scientologist, who can actually save people from the aliens within them, it would be Tom’s duty to help this guy if it were at all within his his control, right?
In other Cruise News, Tom was on The Tonight Show Thursday night, talking with Jay Leno about his Golden Globe nominated part in Tropic Thunder. He showed a very funny and charming picture of himself, in costume, and Katie Holmes goofing on each other. It made them seem much more normal than the “now presenting Kate Cruise” photos you usually see. I really hate to admit it, but I must confess the Cruises are growing on me a little.
Tom talked about the prospect of going to Broadway himself, maybe in a musical. I cringed at the thought of Tom Cruise singing, but he didn’t do a half bad Elvis impression. At least until he stood up and tried to do the Elvis hip swivel. Sometimes that guy just doesn’t register the mental STOP sign at the right times.

Tom Cruise lost his BlackBerry sometime during a full-hour interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada. National Post columnist Shinan Govani reports that Tom’s people called the studio asking if anyone found the phone. “A search was done, but, nada,” Govani said. “So, basically, someone in Toronto has Top Gun’s crackberry.” Ruh-roh.
In response, Tom has politely asked the citizens of Toronto to return his BlackBerry if found. Also, Tom says not to open the calendar event that says, “When Katie is away, Tom will play,” and definitely don’t open the other one that goes, “Secret Santa dildo gift exchange.”

People are making a big deal out of the fact that Tom Cruise gave Spencer Pratt advice on how he should have conducted his wedding to Heidi Montag, saying that “If the girl wants the [big] wedding, you gotta do the wedding. It’s a special occasion, and she’ll remember it forever. Spencer… dude… you’ll realize this later.”
The fact is that the MTV people interviewing Cruise had to explain the situation to him and specifically asked if he had advice for this guy he probably has never heard of who eloped with his girlfriend, who was hoping for a traditional wedding.
US Weekly, which has been all over the Spencer/Heidi fake wedding with two separate cover stories, reports this news and also has a response from Spencer: “If Tom Cruise says so, it must be true. If Tom’s the best man, we’ll have a big wedding!”
Spencer doesn’t address whether he and Heidi have done the necessary paperwork to make their marriage official. They certainly laid the groundwork for that reality show focusing on their relationship that they’re said to be gunning for, they don’t need to complicate matters by legally commingling their funds and lives. They’re together for the cameras, and maybe the cameras will go away soon and so will their relationship.
Cruise visited the Toronto studios of Much Music yesterday to appear on the show Much on Demand and promote his Nazi movie. He did the “Tropic Thunder” dance with host Matt Babel and also looked amused to encounter two guys wearing dress shirts and underwear like his iconic “Risky Business” character. In the audience at the show was a guy wearing a Guy Falkes mask, the standard disguise of the group Anonymous which is staging a global protest against Cruise’s Scientology cult. There’s a video of Cruise very obviously trying not to look at the guy in the mask, the meaning of which he is surely familiar with. Cruise would much rather be confronted by random questions about a reality star’s life decisions than have to deal with the reality of the cult he supports that destroys people’s lives.

Kind of. Tom Cruise taped an interview with MTV Canada’s The After Show to promote his movie Valkryie during which he was asked about The Hills. Specifically, about Spencer and Heidi’s elopement. Cruise, who had to be told what a “Hills” was, gave Spencer some sage advice:
“If the girl wants the wedding, you gotta do the wedding,” Cruise said. “It’s a special occasion, and she’ll remember it forever. Spencer … dude … you’ll realize this later.”
Listen to Tom, he knows how to control women. You lavish them with gifts and whisper sweet nothings in their ear and inject them with muscle relaxants. You don’t force them to get breast augmentation and a nose job and a shotgun wedding in Mexico. That path will always lead to resentment and fleeting fame. The trick is to stretch your 15 minutes into 15 years. Sigh. Spencer will never learn. He’ll always be a poor man’s Tom Cruise.

Though he’s received all kinds of criticism and speculation for the way he’s handled his marriage with Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise saw fit to offer some marital advice to Spencer Pratt on last night’s “Hills” after-show.
The “Vanilla Sky” stud was asked what he would’ve done had he been given Pratt’s circumstances. And rather than elope, Tom said he would’ve definitely done the big family wedding that Heidi Montag was hoping for.
