I was going to write a story about how strange it is that Brad Pitt?s media-relations is so obvious these days, but I?ve decided that the bulk of this story should be about something else. Still, it?s worth noting, especially since I?m going to come back to this point later: Brad?s PR is bang-you-over-the-head obvious these days. The Neri Oxman story was everywhere for weeks, and it?s clear now that Brad and his team were trying really hard to make it sound like Sexy Successful Golden Boy Brad had moved on with an accomplished woman who truly understood how deep he really is. Except that blew up in his face because Neri is still dating some billionaire hedge-funder and Brad sort of sounded like Neri?s unrequited lover-turned-stalker.
The past few weeks, his obvious-AF media has been all about how Brad is father of the year and he?s so grateful and happy now that mean old Angelina is being forced by the court to allow him to see the kids (while he?s still being heavily monitored). It?s like he can?t help himself: there have been leaks to Entertainment Tonight, Us Weekly, the Daily Mail and of course People Magazine. On Friday, there was even a story about how Poor Brad ?wanted kids for years before he met Angie. He was dreaming about being a dad. And he has always been a great dad. Very involved and present. He talks about the kids nonstop now. He brought gifts back to England.? So with these daily press onslaught about Brad is Still Sexy and he?s The Best Daddy Ever, isn?t it weird that this story has fallen through the cracks?
The moldering shell of a Brad Pitt Make It Right house at 5012 N. Derbigny St. in New Orleans Lower 9th Ward was demolished Saturday morning (June 30). As the jaws of an excavator bit into the foam and wooden walls of the blighted structure, a regrettable chapter in a remarkable project came to close. Ten years ago, the Hollywood superstar began building architecturally splendid yet affordable homes to replace those ruined by flooding that resulted from failures during Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Pitts program, called Make It Right, erected 111 houses, becoming a recovery-era tourist destination in the process. But the all-new neighborhood was beset by problems, particularly the failure of a large batch of experimental lumber that began deteriorating much, much sooner than expected.
Just seven years ago, 5012 North Derbigny was the site of a handsome new house clad in eye-catching wooden trellises to provide shade. But by 2015, Make It Right had already employed an architect to plan a renovation and redesign of the building because of rain leakage. For reasons unknown, the house did not receive the new roof and replacement trellises of the redesign. By 2018 the long-unoccupied building was a tattered loaf of rotting wood, fraying tarpaulin and ominous open doorways.
Fed up by the eyesore and potential health hazard, Make It Right resident Constance Fowler blew the whistle, making City Hall aware of several building code violations. A neighborhood resident who asked not to be named said Saturday he was relieved that the building is finally gone. He said he thought that the structure had been looted for scrap, and he feared it was a haven for people seeking a hideaway to use drugs.
Make It Right management has not responsed to repeated requests for comment. Residents report that they are unable regularly to reach the non-profit company. In an interview before the North Derbigny house was destroyed, neighborhood resident Doris Wyman expressed her frustration with questions.
Where is Mr. Pitt? she asked. I wonder, if he saw that house, what would be the first words out of his mouth?

To be clear, this is not Brad?s problem alone. He had a whole team of people working on Make It Right. But it was his baby and his name was on the charity, and the whole point of this was to showcase affordable green architecture, one of his pet issues and something that drew him to Neri Oxman (remember?). The fact that the ?whistleblower? came from Make It Right and that the city had to pay for this house to be demolished? YIKES. Where is Brad? Oh, right. He?s in London, leaking information about how he?s the best daddy ever, in between making a movie in LA which will glorify the murders committed by the Manson family. It feels like the Golden Boy only showed up for some photo-ops for a few years and then he got bored and forgot about MIR.

I?ve been wondering if we would get any kind of update on the situation with Brad Pitt and his one true unicorn, Neri Oxman. It?s been more than a month since Page Six, Us Weekly and People Magazine were feeding us endless updates about Brad and Neri Oxman, who is apparently the most brilliant and beautiful woman Brad has ever met in his entire life. Oxman was even getting pap?d out in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she teaches at MIT. Then suddenly all the news stopped. The whole thing was weird. Well, this week?s National Enquirer claims that Brad is planning on renting a place in Cambridge over the summer so he can spend time with Neri. Only Gossip Cop said that was BS, and then Us Weekly did an exclusive about how Brad wants to have custody of his kids over the summer, and maybe Neri Oxman can come to LA too. Some highlights:
He?s making time for his kids: ?He chose a project that films in Los Angeles,? a source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly of the actor?s upcoming role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. According to the insider, Pitt aspires to establish a flexible schedule that will help in his divorce settlement with Jolie. ?Brad wants certain provisions in a custody agreement that guarantee custodial time with all six kids.? Us Weekly?s source claims Brad already sees the kids ?a few times a week.?
How Angelina feels: A source tells Us that she ?has been very hesitant to agree to Brad?s terms because she does resent him for essentially forcing her to settle down in Los Angeles with the kids.?
He?s super-committed to staying in LA, even if it means less time with Neri: ?Brad and Neri are still very much in each other?s lives, although not as much as he would like,? the pal explains of the pair, who have been seeing each other since the fall of 2017. ?She will come out to L.A. to visit him this summer as he is filming, but she has a life of her own in Boston.?
He?s super-focused on custody: ?Brad and Angie are continuing to try to work out their divorce settlement. There hasn?t even been a settled agreement drafted by either side, which reveals how at odds they continue to be.?

Yeah? Angelina Jolie has been with the kids all this time. They?ve been in England for a month (or maybe longer) while she works on the Maleficent sequel. I think the fact that we haven?t heard anything from Brad or his legal team means that Angelina has full custody of the kids right now and that there?s not much he can do about it. As for the Neri stuff? it will be interesting to see if Brad does end up making some kind of high-profile visit to Massachusetts this summer. MIT?s semester is probably already over, right? Does Neri teach summer classes or nah? What does she have going on that she couldn?t spend the summer with Brad in LA? Maybe that?s what the next photo-op will be: Brad and Neri, strolling along somewhere in LA. Or maybe coming out of his sculpture art space.

Here are some photos of Brad Pitt in Tokyo this week, promoting War Machine. Facially, this is the best he?s looked in awhile, right? Brad has lost a lot of weight in the past nine months or so, and you could really see the weight loss on his face. But all of a sudden, his face looks a bit tighter. Hmm. Good night cream or did Brad get a little tuck? Who knows?
Brad actually had a rough week last week. He was mourning the loss of two friends, Brad Grey and Chris Cornell. Pitt and Cornell were apparently friends for years, and they had kids the same age. As for Brad Grey? Grey completely changed the trajectory of Pitt?s career. There might not be a ?Brad Pitt? as we know him without Brad Grey. According to sources, Brad was ?devastated and in shock. He is trying to process the loss of two great friends. This has hit him very hard. With Brad Grey, Brad Pitt was one of the few people who knew he was sick. Grey was told he had a few weeks to live, but he didn?t even get that long. He was gone way too soon.?
As for Pitt going all the way to Japan? I realize that I don?t 100% understand the economics of Netflix (I don?t even 50% understand it), but is it necessary to do an international promotional tour for a movie that will ONLY premiere on Netflix? I?m really asking. It?s not like there will be international box office receipts, and it?s not like Japan is a strong potential audience for a movie about America?s military overreach (Japan has been there, seen that and gotten the t-shirt). Granted, I think Brad went to Japan because he?s a huge movie star and he always gets a good reception in Japan, and why not? He probably went to Japan as a way to visibly support Netflix in general. He?s been saying words about how, without Netflix, ?this movie wouldn’t have been made? and it?s a ?risk? that most studios don?t want to make.

They have been together since 2005, and they married in 2014. They celebrated their second wedding anniversary less than a month ago, where they allegedly got a hotel room for a night. But now it?s over????? OMG.
Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt and the trigger was a conflict over the kids… TMZ has learned. Jolie filed legal docs Monday citing irreconcilable differences. She’s asking for physical custody of the couple’s 6 children. She is asking the judge to give Pitt visitation. It’s significant …she does not want Brad to have joint physical custody … only joint legal custody.
Sources connected with the couple tell us … Angelina’s decision to file has to do with the way Brad was parenting the children … she was extremely upset with his methods.
We’re told there was no alleged “third person” … her decision to file was solely over Brad’s interaction with their children. Jolie, who’s being repped by disso queen Laura Wasser, is not asking for spousal support. Jolie lists the date of separation as Sept. 15, 2016. They married in August, 2014. They’ve been together since 2004.

Brad Pitt is rich. I?ve noticed that many people seem to shrug off Brad?s business sense, but he?s gotten the last laugh in nearly every situation involving money. Brad has long been a serious real estate junkie, and the idea that he would get involved with a massive construction project doesn?t surprise me. I?m just trying to figure out if Brad is actually putting his own money into this project? These are photos of Brad in Croatia a few days ago. He did a whirlwind 24-hour trip to Sibenik, a coastal town, to get a look at a $1.5 billion luxury real estate development.
Brad Pitt is a fan, just like the rest of us! The actor traveled to Croatia on Thursday and took an onsite tour of a proposed $1 billion dollar luxury real estate development on the Adriatic coast. After arriving at the Zadar Airport, the 52-year-old actor took a small boat cruise along a 50-mile stretch of coastline near Biograd and Sibenik, roughly an hour up the coast from Split.
Pitt, who stayed overnight in Sibenik’s recently opened waterside Dogusevom Hotel, visited the town’s St. James Cathedral before embarking on a walking tour with 10 others around the proposed project site in Zablace. The group included internationally known architect Nikola Basic, who created Zadar’s celebrated Sea Organ quay design, a unique giant sculpture that plays music created by sea waves passing through resonant tubes beneath its large marble steps. Basic also designed the Dogusevom Hotel and is the creative force behind plans at Zablace.
Swiss-based fund TFI Holding has reportedly invested $70 million in assembling land parcels for Basic’s project, which will remake Sibenik’s small neighboring city Zablace into a modern ecologically-responsible planned community. Proposed project plans call for both land ? once known for its salt production ? and an existing marina site to be transformed into a resort that features a flagship luxury hotel, shops and villas. Schools and a clinic are also included in the plans, which will incorporate a permanent community population of 2,500. The overall cost of the development is estimated to be over $1.5 billion.

Hello Magazine was a little bit clearer ? they say that Brad met ?with business partners to discuss a possible $1.5 billion real estate project on the Adriatic coast.? Like, HIS business partners? Again, is Brad putting up any of his own money, and if not, why is he there again? Just to check out the progress of a project that he?s not personally invested in? I have no idea. But if Brad does attach himself to the resort in some way, I imagine it will become the newest Euro-hot-spot.

Here are some photos of Brad Pitt looking fine as hell at Le Mans over the weekend. All the stuff is happening in France this week, huh? Paris is hosting the UEFA Euro 2016 and this weekend was Le Mans, the 84th year of 24-hour racing. Brad loves all things racing, but I get the feeling his kids aren?t AS into it as Brad. Brad took Knox to the MotoGP British Grand Prix last year and Knox was not feeling it. So Brad went to Le Mans alone this year. He spent time with some dude-friends (dude acquaintances, really) like Jackie Chan, Patrick Dempsey and Keanu Reeves. Jason Statham was there too, and Jason and Brad are tight, so I bet they spent some time together.
As I mentioned on Friday (with those photos of Brad flying out of LAX), Brad is looking really great these days. It?s a combination of factors: he doesn?t look so bloated, he doesn?t look like he?s been undergoing aggressive facials, and his hair these days is GREAT. Plus, I think he?s lost a bit of weight and you can see it on his face. There were at least 100 photos of Brad where, in the background, you can see various random women sizing him up and looking like they wanted to eat him for breakfast. Brad has regained the hotness! Huzzah. Some people think that he’s going to be part of an Oscar campaign this year for that WWII film, Allied, with Marion Cotillard. It’s been a while since Brad has been front-and-center for an Oscar campaign, and if it happens this year, I will be very happy. Mostly because he looks great.

Wow, Brad Pitt looks really good in these photos, doesn?t he? Brad got pap?d at LAX on Wednesday, looking sort of lumberjack chic. Like, if a lumberjack drove a Benz and wore $900 sunglasses. Earlier this year. Brad was not looking this good. He actually looked kind of puffy and like he had been undergoing some aggressive skin treatments. But now he looks slim and de-bloated and hot. Fancy lumberjack hot! While Brad was walking through LAX, he even stopped to rescue a stuffed animal for a little girl:
Very sweet. Anyway, there?s not a lot going on with Brad as far as gossip, although we?ll be seeing him this fall when he promotes Allied, the WWII film he did with Marion Cotillard. He also has War Machine coming out at some point, but I can?t find a release date for it. There?s also this piece of gossip about the sorry state of Brad and Angelina?s marriage: according to Radar, Angelina has been calling up Daniel Craig! Oh, NO!

The former costars, who were rumored to have hooked up while shooting their movie Tomb Raider, recently got back in touch after Craig pushed the United Nations for more funding for defusing land mines and other explosives in conflict zones around the world.
?Angelina called him to praise his efforts, and the pair have been blowing up the phones ever since,? an insider told Radar.
Now U.N. Goodwill Ambassador Jolie, 41, wants to team up with 48-year-old Craig, the organization?s Global Advocate for the Elimination of Mines and Explosive Hazards, on a project since she knows the planned Tomb Raider reboot will shine the spotlight on their efforts.
?Angie and Daniel always got on well and are thrilled they?ve reconnected over a worthy cause,? said the insider. Life & Style says no ? their sources claim Brad?s new look is the result of a new diet, skin care treatments and IV vitamin drips.
Brad Pitt is turning back the clock! An insider close to Brad reveals in the new issue of Life & Style Weekly that for the past several months, Brad has been on an intense antiaging regimen that includes a new diet, expensive skin care treatments and even IV vitamin drips!
?He?s been telling friends about his new antiaging plan,? an insider tells Life & Style. ?He?s been doing it with the help of a nutritionist and a personal chef.?
The insider reveals the details of his new diet to Life & Style, on newsstands now. It?s heavy on salmon, walnuts and chia seeds, which are high in omega-3 fatty acids to combat wrinkles, plus lean meats and eggs, which provide amino acids to help repair damaged skin cells, according to the insider. Other staples in Brad?s strict regimen are brown rice and beets, since they are high in phytoceramides, which many people take as supplements to keep skin hydrated and plump.
?What you put in your mouth shows on your skin,? says Beverly Hills dermatologist Dr. Ava Shamban, who does not treat the father of five. ?His diet will help Brad?s skin repair itself.?
The insider tells Life & Style that he?s also been supplementing the diet with ?collagen smoothies and antiaging IV vitamin drips,? as well as going to get regular facials.

Here?s the thing: I believe Brad Pitt is vain, but do I believe he?s THIS vain? I don?t. I think he would go in for some facial peels and some Botox. I don?t believe he would completely change his diet and get IV drips full of anti-aging vitamins. I just don?t believe he cares THAT much. But he does care, and we can see it all over his (new) face.

Here is the new cover for Elle France, with Angelina Jolie looking rather lovely. She covers the issue to promote her Euro-centric vanity project, By the Sea. BTS has made a little more than $1.5 million domestically and internationally combined. For a film that reportedly cost $10-25 million to make and promote, it really does not seem like the studio will be making any money off of BTS. Sad. Well, at least the studio won?t be able to say that Angelina refused to promote it. She has been promoting it, exhaustively. Probably to the detriment of Brad Pitt?s actual Oscar-bait film, The Big Short.
Speaking of The Big Short, THR asked Brad Pitt if he was interested in following in Angelina?s footsteps and trying his hand at directing. Brad answered quickly: ?No, not at all. I have no desire whatsoever. I like my corner of the field.” I bet Brad would actually have a pretty good eye as a director. I dare say he would have a better feel for good scripts too, judging by how he operates as a producer.
Meanwhile, this week?s National Enquirer is all about how Brad and Angelina are about to go through a ?$480 million divorce.? Sources claim that Brad caught Angelina carrying on with ?an unidentified crew member? while at work in Cambodia. Brad ran away and cried, and one of his friends tells the mag: ?To Brad, it?s emotional cheating. He got word from sources on the set and he exploded! The close nature of Angelina?s relationship with the man quickly became the talk of cast and crew, who note how she hangs on his every word? Angelina looks positively enamored with this man!? Gossip Cop says the story is ?made up.? Which? sure. Where is Brad, by the way? I know Angelina is in Cambodia, working on another film that absolutely no one will see. But where?s Brad?

Can I just say? I really like the ?hot professor? vibe Brad Pitt has in these photos. It?s a much better vibe than the ?I?m wearing a ?90s wiglet? energy from The Big Short premiere. These photos are just of Brad out and about in NYC on Tuesday, likely going back and forth to media outlets to promote The Big Short. He wore that newsboy cap so I have no idea if he?s still trying to work a wiglet, or if the real wiglet is the ?grey hair? he?s rocking for War Machine. Anyway, there are some assorted quotes floating around from Brad, including his thoughts on the world of finance today, and whether he?s going to do any cooking for Thanksgiving.
Whether he?s in the kitchen for Thanksgiving: ?Yeah, I’ll get in there, I’ll mess it up a little bit. We got Thanksgiving, man ? I’m all over that turkey.?
His secret to staying young-looking: “Everything in moderation and a lot of love.?

Telling the story of the 2008 financial crisis: ?It was a really important story to me, I’m still angry by it, that no one was held accountable, this financial crisis, this housing meltdown that so many people got hurt by. I’m angry. I’m angry that so many people lost their homes. Families were put on the street, they lost their life savings, and yet no one was held accountable. No senior official was held accountable. That’s amazing.”
He?s worried nothing has changed: “There’s something seriously wrong, you talk to the experts now and they say nothing’s changed. The entitlement to make money without responsibility still exists, it’s alive and well. And the same practices are still going on, only in different arenas. But nothing’s changed. That’s a problem.”

Is he just in charge of the turkey and he makes the kids do the other stuff? The thing is, if you?re helpless in the kitchen, you can buy a lot of pre-made stuff. I wonder if that?s what they do. As for Brad?s thoughts on the financial crisis? yes, it is depressing. Ugh.
