Possibly looking to add to his motorcycle collection, Brad Pitt stopped by a Honda Goldwing specialist bike shop in London, England on Wednesday (June 13).
After looking around the store, the "Fight Club" actor posed for a picture with a staff member of HGB Motorcycles while offering up a wee smile through his large sunglasses that he wore with a grey sweater and light colored slacks.
On the business front, Brad's latest film, "World War Z" - which he is producing and starring in - has become a bit of a nightmare causing the release date to be pushed back from December of this year to June of 2013.
The zombie film is said to follow a U.N. employee who is racing against time and fate as he desperately tries to stop the outbreak of a deadly Zombie pandemic.
Apparently, the trouble with the film started when Brad hired Marc Forster as the director - who has little experience with effects - because he was forced to work with a more seasoned team leading to several conflicts, according to sources with ties to the production.
Brad will now work with the team to do as many as five weeks of complex reshoots starting sometime in September for "World War Z" which is now said to be costing more than $170 million.

These photos just popped up at Fame/Flynet, and I became enchanted by them immediately. According to the photo agency, ?Actor Brad Pitt visits a Honda Goldwing specialist motorcycle shop in London, England on June 13, 2012. The Hollywood actor posed with staff of HGB Motorcycles in Ruislip during the brief visit.? Is it just me or does Brad look really sexy here? It?s the hair – it looks sort of blown-out, but it?s not girlishly fluffy. It?s an interesting length on a man approaching 50 years old, but Brad really makes it work. All I really needed was one of these photos, the idea of ?motorcycle shopping? and I had already formed a little sexual fantasy involving Brad, Michael Fassbender and a motorcycle ride in the English countryside. Mmmm? English country threesome. Nice.
Brad is keeping the long hair for a little while longer, at least. You know why? Because he has to go back and film even more scenes for World War Z. WWZ filmed for months and months last year, all over Europe. It was the neverending film shoot. And now the ending has been rewritten and Brad has to go back to work AGAIN and do reshoots – although the time estimate on the ?reshoots? is five to seven weeks, which is more like half a film production. And even then, it might be a disaster:
Forget sometime scary-skinny near-missus Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt has some real ZOMBIE problems! AS The ENQUIRER reported previously Brad had been producing a zombie thriller ?World War Z? which seemed destined for a big money making franchise. But now, sources say, not only is the film A STINKER with its release date pushed back to 2013 but the tawny Brad may be to blame.
?Can we take this genre movie and use it as a Trojan horse for sociopolitical problems, and what would the effect on the world be if everything we knew was upside-down and pulled out from under us?? Brad told The Hollywood Reporter last January, as he seemingly had classic disaster flick ?The Poseidon Adventure? on his mind ? but substituting flesh eating denizens of the brain snarfing undead for Shelley Winters.
But a source now told THR that Brad?s film is now ?a nightmare from top to bottom?.
The troubled production dragged on for months as a novice SFX director battled with the cinematographer and the logistics of shooting all over economically ravaged Europe took its toll. Meanwhile Brad and his producing partner were busy prepping a small indie film that preemed at Cannes, ?Killing Them Softly?.
By the time they were ready to re-focus their attentions on the zombie flick ?the disaster was already well in the making,? the production insider divulged.
Yet a Paramount exec said ?The footage from this film looks fantastic, but we all agreed it can have a better ending. Getting the ending correct is essential, and we are in that creative process.?
But Brad is positive his zombie apocalypse gore fest will garner kudos, ?I know my boys are going to like it.?
[Via The National Enquirer]
You know who did the script rewrite? Damon Lindelof. The man who screwed up Lost and bungled the Alien reboot, Prometheus. So? expect a three-hour opus in which Brad Pitt wanders around talking about faith versus science, basically. Beyond that, Indie Wire reports that director Marc Forster was unprepared to helm such a massive, big-budget film, and the whole disaster is already costing the studio more than $170 million reportedly. Let?s hope Brad The Producer can begin to rein in some of this BS.

| Brad Pitt announces plans to produce an epic Marilyn Monroe bio-pic: good idea? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I remember hearing something about Naomi Watts playing Marilyn Monroe months (years?) ago. I never realized that the Monroe project that Watts was attached to was a film adaptation of Joyce Carol Oates? Blonde. I read Blonde several years ago, and while I was blown away by Oates? take on Marilyn, the book is incredibly dark and the portrait of Marilyn is that of a very tortured, confused, mentally deficient woman. I?m just saying – the book (at 700 pages) doesn?t lend itself to easy adaptation, and even if you manage to wrangle a decent script, who would you even get to play this dark version of Marilyn? Well, Brad Pitt is up the task. I mean, Brad?s not going to play Marilyn, but he has signed on to produce the thing:
Marilyn Monroe has been everywhere lately, from the fictitious musical on “Smash” to the 2011 Michelle Williams movie? But she could be getting another treatment if Brad Pitt and Andrew Dominik have anything to say about it.
The A-list actor has come aboard to produce the filmmaker?s long-gestating drama about the blond bombshell. “We’re going to get this one done,” Pitt told 24 Frames in a joint interview with Dominik. Pitt said it’s unclear whether he would take a role in the movie as well (suggestions welcome on who he should play) or simply produce. Pitt’s been on a bit of a producing hot streak lately: His company, Plan B, was behind two best picture nominees in 2012 (“The Tree of Life” and “Moneyball”).
Pitt and Domink collaborated on “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford” and the upcoming hit-man movie “Killing Them Softly.” “Blonde” would mark a shift from those hard-boiled genres; it would look at an imagined inner life of the iconic actress, an inner life first imagined by Joyce Carol Oates, who wrote an acclaimed 2000 novel on which the film would be based.
Oates’ “Blonde,” which also got the TV mini-series treatment a decade ago, has been in feature development since at least 2009, when Dominik began writing a script based on the book. Soon after, the foreign-sales company Wild Bunch began peddling the project. But it’s back on the front burner thanks to Pitt’s interest and to some new financing possibilities. Dominik wouldn’t comment on the specific progress of the project, but said that shooting it in January or February of 2013 was not out of the realm of possibility.
When it was first incarnated with Wild Bunch, Naomi Watts was slated to play the lead part of Marilyn. But that was a long time ago, and it’s unclear at this point if the filmmakers would continue in that direction.
It should be noted that “My Week With Marilyn” was hardly a blockbuster performer: It grossed $14 million and garnered mediocre reviews. But that film covered only a small slice of the actress’ life. And, in any event, expect a different kind of film from the Australia-based Dominik, who departed from convention with both ?Jesse James” (a non-Western Western) and “Killing Them Softly? (which turns the hit-man movie into a meditation on capitalism). Meanwhile, interest in Monroe continues to grow with the 50th anniversary of her death approaching on Aug. 5.
Since coming on the scene with his cult hit ?Chopper? in 2000, Dominik hasn’t exactly worked at a feverish pace. He took seven years to make “Jesse James” and five for “Killing.” “He’s got a terrible habit for writing things on spec,” Pitt said with a good-natured smile, implying that the rights issues on “Blonde” may have bogged it down too. (Dominik wrote his first draft on spec, that is, without locking down rights.)
But Pitt’s brand of surfer-boy intellectual and Dominik’s auteur intensity clearly combine for a kind of chemistry, with both of their collaborations yielding solid reviews. Pitt said that “I think ‘Jesse’ is going to be the film I’m most proud of when I’m done with this [acting] thing.”
Frustrated by the meager box-office for “James,” Dominik hopes that “Killing,” which hits theaters in September as a Weinstein Co. release, rekindles the industry’s interest in the pair’s work.
“I wanted to make a $15-million movie. I wanted to make a movie that was cheap and could make its money back, because I’d like to keep working with Brad and I’d like us to have more expensive playdates than the last one,” he said. “I would like to make someone some money.”
Generally, he said, he struggles with the balance between passion and pragmatism, which he said may be why he’s made just two movies since “Chopper.”
“I’d like to make movies, man,? he said. ?But I don’t want to just make movies. I want to make the movies I want to make.”
[From The Los Angeles Times]
Brad has turned into one of the most interesting producers out there – he?s not just looking to produce the films he acts in (although he does that too). He?s shown a real interest in up-and-coming talents and working with ?difficult? directors and ?difficult? source material that others often avoid. While I think that Hollywood should just let Marilyn rest in peace (instead of trotting her out every year on the cover of Vanity Fair), if you?re going to do a real Marilyn bio-pic using Blonde as the source material, I might be interested. Of course, I really didn?t think Michelle Williams? Monroe was all that special or award-worthy, so the Marilyn mantle is still up for grabs. Somebody tell Lindsay Lohan to sit down.
Conspiracy theory: a few years ago, there was a rumor that Angelina Jolie might play Marilyn in some other film. I wonder if Brad would be interested in producing another film for his fiance? Hmm?

He?s always a festival favorite, and Brad Pitt was in fine form as he attended the 65th Cannes Film Festival premiere of his new movie ?Killing Them Softly? today (May 22).
Joined by his costars, the ?Mr. and Mrs. Smith? star looked dapper as he worked his magic on the fans and paparazzi outside the Palais des Festivals prior to the screening.
Making for quite the site to be seen, other celebrities packing the glitzy red carpet included a red hot Irina Shayk and her model gal pal Karolina Kurkova, as well as Diane Kruger, Joshua Jackson, Sean "Diddy" Combs, tennis ace Novak Djokovic, Kelly Brook, Alec Baldwin, Cassie, Michelle Rodriguez and Jeremy Irons.
When asked if he was concerned about the level of violence in the film and its affect on his kids, Brad explained, "Not at all. Violence is an accepted part of the gangster world. I'd have a harder time playing a racist than some guy who shoots another guy in the face."
Pitt added, "Ever seen them butcher a cow for hamburger? It's incredibly brutal and violent. We live in a very violent world."

Yay, my internet is back. Huzzah. As I discussed in those halcyon hours before Verizon decided to murder my soul, Brad Pitt told reporters earlier today in Cannes that Angelina Jolie had not come with him for this very special Cannes Film Festival extravaganza. Apparently, Angelina is hard at work, and by that I mean ?she?s boning her ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton in his leathery sex shack, of course.? Sigh? I would like to see her other ex-husband?s leathery sex shack. Do you think Jonny Lee Miller has a sex shack nowadays? A question for another day.
So, with Angelina nowhere to be seen, here are some photos from the Cannes premiere of Killing Them Softly, which was produced by and stars Brad Pitt. I can feel Brad looking at Ray Liotta and thinking, ?Sure, he?s a nice guy. But I wish I had a bony hip to clutch and fondle right about now.? WHY DIDN?T ANGELINA COME?! Brad?s tux is meh. From the just-released photos I?m looking at, he didn?t take off his sunglasses for the premiere either. Probably because he looks really old without sunglasses.
Everyone is talking about the very violent content of Killing Them Softly – it is a mob movie, and I believe Brad plays a hit man. During the photo call, Brad was asked about making violent films, and whether he was bothered by playing such a violent character. Brad said, ?Not at all. Violence is an accepted part of the gangster world. I’d have a harder time playing a racist than some guy who shoots another guy in the face. Ever seen them butcher a cow for hamburger? It’s incredibly brutal and violent. We live in a very violent world.” Um? what? Whatever, Brad.
PS? Kelly Brook was at the premiere. Her dress is meh, but she looks like she could be Brad?s type. Did I just write next week?s tabloids? ?Angelina fumes as she catches Brad in the arms of British glamour model, Brad cries, ?The Engagement Is OFF!??

He?s always been easy on the eyes, and Brad Pitt was looking fine at the photocall for his new film ?Killing Them Softly? in Cannes, France today (May 22).
The ?Fight Club? hunk was joined by Ray Liotta, Scoot McNairy, and Ben Mendelsohn as he hammed it up for the paparazzi as part of the 65th Cannes Film Festival.
Pitt stars in and produced the flick, which is described as ?a hardboiled crime film featuring heavy doses of President Barack Obama and a backdrop of the economic crisis.?
During a recent interview, Brad noted that the movie was conceived ?at the apex of hte mortgage loan debacle.?

Here are some photos of Brad Pitt at the Cannes Film Festival photo call for his latest film, Killing Them Softly. Bitch got old!!! I mean, I like Brad and everything, and I?m not trolling for 20 million comments about ?Angelina sucked out his hotness.? But he looks really old here. Part of it is that he?s rapidly approaching 50 years on this earth, and he doing it (somewhat?) naturally. Another part of it is that Brad doesn?t seem to be taking very good care of his skin, right? Maybe it?s less about Angelina sucking out his hotness and more about Brad needing to borrow Angelina?s night cream, moisturizer and ?eye lift in a bottle?. Sidenote: I think Brad and I are wearing the same white V-neck. Sidenote #2: Is Brad?s haircut ?The Rachel?? LOL.
Speaking of Angelina, she?s not there. She didn?t come with Brad to Cannes, like everyone hoped she would. Brad told reporters that she didn?t come because ?she?s prepping a movie? (Maleficent), so no Brangelina photos on the red carpet tonight. That?s so disappointing! WORST CANNES EVER.
Brad was also asked about his wedding plans, or lack thereof. He told reporters, ?We have no date. We actually, really, truly have no date.? He dismissed the story of a summer wedding as just a ?rumor? too. And he made it seem like the wedding would be a long way away, saying, ?I hope we figure out marriage equality in the states before that date.? Good God! Did Pres. Obama come out for gay marriage just to get Brad and Angelina down the aisle?!?
Brad?s Killing Them Softly costar, Ray Liotta, was also at the photo call. Would you still hit it? Liotta is looking pretty rough too, but I have to admit? I have such a residual, long-standing crush on him, I would probably still hit it. I love his eyes and his voice.

| Angelina & Brad are renting (not buying) a huge mansion in Surrey, England | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

When I wrote about Jennifer Aniston?s $40,000-a-month rental yesterday, the Pity Party Patrol came out in full force to claim that Brangelina NEVER gets the kind of mild criticism Aniston ENDURES for their respective excesses. I beg to differ – we always cover Brangelina?s real estate rumors, especially when the alleged purchases/rentals are crazy and/or expensive. Most recently, we discussed the rumor that Angelina Jolie bought Brad a motherchucking WATERFALL for his birthday. We also discussed the possible real estate purchases/rentals that the Jolie-Pitts might be undertaking in England, as the family settles down so Angelina can film Maleficent. Now E! News reports that the early reports (that the Jolie-Pitts bought a UK mansion outright) are false, and they are in fact renting a big mansion. I?m including some of the aerial photos below, and here?s E!?s story:
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt just snapped up one fancy rental home. While the betrothed actors didn’t buy the Whornes Place estate in London, it turns out the ber-famous couple is temporarily residing in another “palatial” home in the area. And it looks like they’re settling in.
Despite reports Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie forked over $16 million to reside in the Whornes Palace in the West London town of Richmond, E! News has learned exclusively the charitable pair is renting a huge mansion in one of the most “exclusive areas” in the United Kingdom.
“[Brad and Angelina] have decided to settle into one property rather than move around because they are going to be in London for 15 months,” a source told E! News. “It seems better for the whole family if they have a proper base. They have been moved into a palatial mansion that resembles the White House on the exclusive Wentworth golf course in Surrey. It is in a beautiful, gated community, one of the most exclusive areas in the U.K.”
But, Jolie and Pitt aren’t the first celebrities to reside in the stunning home, which sits 21 miles outside of London.
The estate has had its share of star-studded residents, including Elton John and Fergie, the Duchess of York.
And there’s plenty of room for Jolie to stretch her legs.
“The house has eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms, staff quarters, a gazebo in the garden, an indoor swimming pool and a playground for the children,” the source said.
“They have also hired a full time chef.”
Meanwhile, there’s still no word yet on when the newly engaged pair, who moved into the home a week ago, will tie the knot.
But, their new digs certainly would make for one fine place for a wedding. We’re just sayin’.
[From E! News]
There?s no mention of how much this rental costs per month, but I can imagine that it would be in the tens of thousands (per month). I should also note this – considering Angelina is the big-name ?star? of Maleficent and the studio wants to keep her happy, I?m guessing that the studio is probably paying for all or part of the Jolie-Pitts? living expenses. I don?t know what Angelina has in her contracts – she might get a general ?living allowance? stipend, or the studio might pay for everything flat-out.
(Sidenote: I?d still really like to know what happened to the converted farmhouse Angelina bought in England back in 2001. Did she sell it?)
By the way – Brangelina should be in the South of France within the next few days. Brad?s film is competing at the Cannes Film Festival. So? Brangelina red carpet sighting! It will be Angelina?s first red carpet with her engagement ring.

Last year, Louis Vuitton paid Angelina Jolie a truck full of money to become one of the new faces of their on-going ?Core Values? campaign. The campaign – which has also featured ads by Mikhail Gorbachev and Bono – tries to unite the Louis Vuitton brand with ?icons? who are famous for being more than a pretty face. Angelina shot her LV commercials in Cambodia, and honestly, the ads are more likely to get people to visit Cambodia than buy an LV bag. But it was interesting – Angelina Jolie, up for the shill. Up for being ?the face? of an ad campaign.
So is it any surprise that Angelina?s fianc is also up for the shill? Brad Pitt has done commercials before, of course – but most of his commercial work is done outside of America. According to E! News, Brad is being named the face of? Chanel No. 5? Er? that?s not a men?s cologne, correct?
Yes, it’s a scent for a woman, but if ever there was a man pretty enough to render that particular point moot, it’s Brad Pitt.
Proving yet again that his musky appeal knows no bounds, E! News has exclusively learned that Angelina Jolie’s better half has signed on as the new face of Chanel’s signature No. 5 scent.
Reps for neither Pitt nor the perfume house have commented on the new partnership, but a source tells E! News that the actor will be shooting his first perfume ad in London sometime this week (the superstar family has set up their most recent homestead in the UK).
And for his endorsement troubles, Pitt will be bringing home some serious bacon for the Jolie-Pitt clan, with his paycheck for the spot somewhere in the seven-figures. The Chanel No. 5 ad will be released overseas sometime later this year. Makes scents to us.
[From E! News]
Previous ?faces? of the Chanel No. 5 brand include Nicole Kidman, Audrey Tautou and Catherine Deneuve. So? Brad would be in good company, I guess. I wish they would bring Deneuve back? with Brad. I would wear No. 5 if Brad and Deneuve were shilling together. No, I wouldn?t. No. 5 gives me a headache. Still, it?s always nice to know that Brad still gets a lot of offers for commercial work. Maybe he?s going to blow all of his Chanel money on the wedding?
