Here are some photos from last night?s LA premiere of Unbroken. No Angelina Jolie, obviously. She has chicken pox, so she was probably at home, fighting the urge to scratch and maybe eating some soup with Vivienne, Knox and Zahara. Do you think Zahara makes soup for her mom when La Jolie is feeling itchy? I do. So last night, in Angelina?s place, Brad Pitt walked the carpet with Maddox, Pax and Shiloh. They all wore suits and looked very snazzy. Brad?s parents were there too ? apparently, they were already coming in for the premiere (and perhaps to stay through Christmas?) and they just decided to attend the premiere in Angelina?s place.
As for how Angelina is doing, Brad told E! News, ?Her spirits are high. A little spotted and a little itchy, but her spirits are high.” God, I hope so. I hope she rallies. I hope she manages to make all of the h8rs crazy with how much she wins at life.
I?m also including some photos of the Unbroken stars at the premiere, including Jack O?Connell, Garrett Hedlund, Jai Courtney and Miyavi. Miyavi?s style is amazing! And Garrett brought his girlfriend Kirsten Dunst, who looks great in that Vivienne Westwood dress.

This is your final reminder before the weekend officially begins: Fury opens today in theaters. And Brad Pitt?s still hustling for it. I saw some box office predictions and most people think Fury will win the box office this weekend (finally dethroning Gone Girl, perhaps) but that it?s not going to be a major hit like World War Z.
In most of Brad?s interviews, he?s been offering up little morsels about his new marriage and all of that. Brad has started playing it more like Angelina ? he doesn?t complain when people ask him personal questions, but he usually only offers one sentence. When he spoke to USA Today at the DC premiere, he was asked about his non-existent honeymoon, considering he and Angelina flew to Malta to begin filming on By the Sea just a few days after their wedding. Brad said: ?Our dysfunctional honeymoon. Yeah, it was our choice. It’s been fun. It’s been challenging but really fun.” When asked about his wife as a director, Brad said: ?She’s good. She knows what she’s doing.”
Then Brad and the cast sat down with Good Morning America for a pre-taped interview in which Brad got most of the questions. Shia Labeouf is still trying so hard to impress Brad! It?s sort of cute. When asked about the wedding, Brad said: ?It was an amazing day and I think there’s an added security that comes with it.? Security? After ten years and six kids? That?s a little bit strange to me. But maybe Brad still thinks Angelina might pull a runner. Brad was also asked about his previous stance of not marrying until there was marriage equality in America. He side-stepped the question and just said: “That’s just a no-brainer to me. That’s the basis of our country. Equality for everyone.” I personally think that Brad and Angelina DID wait until there was marriage equality in half the states.

Brad Pitt did an absolutely gorgeous photo shoot for Details Magazine for the November issue, to promote Fury (out this Friday). The photos are by Mark Seliger ? you can see the full slideshow here. In some of the photos, Brad is giving me strong Garrett Hedlund vibes. I wonder if that?s why Angelina cast Hedlund in Unbroken? It?s Brad Pitt in nature, talking to trees and thinking in poetry. Brad Pitt on a motorcycle. Brad Pitt staring into the distance pensively. Deep thoughts by Brad Pitt. Details hasn?t released the full interview, but they did include some quotes in the slideshow:
On fatherhood: “I’ve discovered I don’t suck at being a dad.”
The paparazzi: “My soul was stolen by the camera so long ago, I don’t have to think about it anymore. One definition of freedom is the ability to follow your bliss without being watched, recorded, scrutinized.”
His comfort with the outdoors: “I grew up in the Ozarks?something resembling Mark Twain country. The woods, rivers, bluffs, lakes, and caves have all left an indelible mark on me. And I’m quite reverential when it comes to a tree. On my forearm, I had tattooed 94.9m (311.4ft)?the height of the largest sequoia.”
Moments of solitude: “My greatest moments of solitude…are found in the land, on the road…I try to carve out time for a solo ride in every country I travel to, from the Highlands of Scotland to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco to the belly of India. I haven’t even come close to fulfilling my list?yet. But in the traffic of L.A. with a helmet on, I’m just another a–hole on the road.”
Choosing roles: “I choose a role solely by how it speaks to me. And I sit in a fortunate seat where I can pull the trigger on the more difficult films. I was once talked into a film for ‘career maintenance.’ I have not made that mistake since.”
[From Details]
Eh, what do you want me to say? The quotes give me Matthew McConaughey vibes and I wonder if that?s the point. Everyone?s on the McConaughey train these days after MM turned his career around with Dallas Buyers Club and True Detective. Now it seems like more actors are staring off into the distance and waxing poetic about space and time and nature and the meaning of the cosmos. Dude.

Brad Pitt and the boys of Fury have really started making the promotional rounds in earnest. Shia Labeouf has been making TV appearances, trying to get his arrest out of the way so he can talk about Fury. Brad doesn?t have that problem ? Brad is the elder statesman of this particular war film, so it seems like all of the younger guys are going to spend a lot of time talking about how cool Brad is. Shia?s already started ? he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and he told a story about fighting with Brad on the set and how much he loves Brad:
I kind of like Shia when he?s fan-girling Brad. I?ll admit that!
As for Brad, he gave an interview to Radio Times where he discussed his familiarity with weapons. Apparently, Brad inherited his grandfather?s gun when he was only a kid.
He’s set to star in Second World War movie, Fury, in which he stars as the commander of a Sherman tank crew – and Brad Pitt reveals he’s always had a respect for weaponry. The 50-year-old told Radio Times magazine in a recent interview that he’s grown up with guns.
‘There’s a rite of passage where I grew up inheriting your ancestors’ weapons,’ he told the publication. ‘My brother got my dad’s. I got my grandfather’s shotgun when I was in kindergarten.’
In fact, so much so was the tradition, that Pitt owned his first air gun when he was in nursery, received his shotgun when he was six and had fired a handgun by the time he was eight. He told the magazine: ‘The positive is that my father instilled in me a profound and deep respect for the weapon.’
Brad remarked that he brought his family to the set of his latest movie, which was shot over 12 weeks in the fields of Oxfordshire and at Bovingdon Airfield in Hertfordshire. He told the magazine: ‘Maddox knows so much about tanks that when we first started on the movie, I was asking him for information.’
[From The Daily Mail]
Eh, I grew up in the South and I went to school with a lot of boys like this, boys who went out hunting with their daddies from a very young age. There is a ?gun culture? in rural areas, not just in the South and Midwest, but all over America. I tend to believe the majority of gun owners are like Brad describes ? weapons are passed down from generations, and there?s a focus on responsible gun ownership from a young age. Of course, there are notable and horrible exceptions to that.
Brad also gave an interview to The Telegraph about being a ?tourist? in the war experience and all of that ? go here to read.

Brad Pitt covers the new issue of Psychologies, a UK magazine, to promote Fury. Thus far, the Fury promotion has been mostly UK-based (Brad covers the new issue of British GQ too), but I?m hoping that as we get closer to Fury?s release date, Brad will be doing some American press. As for the interview? Brad doesn?t say anything juicy, but I do like these quotes a lot. He just sounds like he adores his kids and that family is his priority.
It’s an especially good time to be Brad Pitt. The newlywed, 50, opens up about his children with wife Angelina Jolie in the November issue of the U.K.’s Psychologies magazine. Regarding what he’s learned from raising Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 8, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 6, proud papa Pitt, 50, says, “You learn to value the basic beauty of family, of watching your children grow and evolve. It’s the most beautiful thing you can experience.”
“I feel like the richest man alive since I’ve become a father,” Pitt adds.
How else has the Fury star’s life changed since becoming a parent? “Being a father has changed me on so many levels and made me more generous and alive. I see my children as an essential part of my life, and it means so much to be able to educate them and help them make their way in the world as they grow up,” the twice-wed actor explains. “I love being a father and all the responsibilities that entails.”
As one might imagine, Pitt is a protective parent. “I worry about them all the time,” he says of his kids. “That’s the emotional bond and responsibility that sweeps over you when you have a family to look after. I care about them more than I care about myself, which I think is the real definition of love. You see past yourself and become more generous and giving, and wanting only the best for your family.”
[From E! News]
I believe him. Brad?s whole life changed when he got with Angelina and became a dad to Maddox and then Zahara. And then they kept on rolling. I?m not sure if Angelina would have ended up having so many kids if she wasn?t with a partner who wanted a big family and was prepared to be a good dad to all of them. Nice.

| Brad Pitt covers GQ UK: 'I guess maybe I?m more of a miserable bastard' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Wow! This is a great cover, right? I generally like Brad and I?ve grown to really respect him, but I usually don?t feel like ?OMG Brad Pitt UNF? towards him. But I?m feeling some hotness pangs towards him with this GQ UK cover and shoot. Lovely. Brad covers British GQ because he?s promoting Fury. Most of his quotes about Fury and his career, but he does give away a little bit about his marriage. I guess this interview was done just after the wedding? Some highlights:
On marriage: “I wouldn’t say [marriage is] just a title. There’s more to it than that.”
On what he thinks his friend George Clooney meant when he recently called Pitt “unreachable”: “Well, you know, George is extremely accessible. He’s one of our best representatives. He’s funny as sh-t. He’s a joy to be around. I guess maybe I’m more of a miserable bastard. [laughs]. I’m a bit of a loner you know? I’m more quiet by nature. And coming from, you know, hillbilly country, I’m probably more reserved.”
On choosing work: “I’m actually very snobbish about directors. I have to say no all the time. ‘No’ is the most powerful word in our business. You’ve got to protect yourself? To leave home, it’s got to be worth leaving. It’s got to be worth it.”
On Shia Labeouf and his commitment to acting: “Oh, I love this boy. He’s one of the best actors I’ve ever seen. He’s full-on commitment, man. He’s living it like no one else, let me tell you. I’ve been fortunate to work with a lot of great actors. He’s one of the best I’ve seen.”
On purposefully slowing down his acting career: “I’ve been slowing down for a while now. And slowly transitioning to other things. And, truthfully, I do want to spend more time with my kids before they’re grown up and gone.”
On considering a TV role: “They’re doing great stuff on television. And we [Plan B] have a few television ideas ourselves. So yes, I’d love to do one.”
On not being on Twitter: “Listen, I see a benefit in it. You could, you know, combat the misconceptions of the misquotes immediately. And if I’d have had that in my younger days, I’d have used it? because I felt quite used, and completely misunderstood, and misread, and not given the benefit of the doubt. You know, I felt that a lot in my first years. I would have brought some logic to the table, and brought it immediately. But now, at this point, I don’t want to bother with it.”
On whether he’s happy: “I’ve always believed happiness is overrated, you know? It’s those difficult times that inform the next wonderful time, and it’s a series of trade-offs, of events, of wins and losses.”
[From GQ UK]
The thing about it is? Clooney also comes from hillbilly country, doesn?t he? George grew up in Kentucky and Brad grew up in Missouri. Both men have Southern/midwestern sensibilities which manifest in different ways. And yeah, Brad probably has no interest in participating in George?s ?Chairman of the Board? shtick in real life. But make no mistake ? Brad is a significant power player in his own right. I tend to think that these days, Brad is one of the most powerful actor-producers in Hollywood.
As for the Shia stuff? that?s a good example of Brad?s power. Brad could have singlehandedly crippled Shia?s career by badmouthing Shia in the interview. But Brad stands up for him, and now Shia will probably get to still have a career. Brad also told a long-winded story about how he and Shia got pissed off at Scott Eastwood for dipping (chewing tobacco) while filming. The moral of Brad?s story is that Shia and Brad were just on edge and Scott was actually doing something that was in the script.

| Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie are doing Krav Maga to stay in shape in Malta | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

From what (little) I know of Angelina Jolie?s By the Sea script, it?s just a flat-out drama. Like, it?s dialogue heavy and it?s just some artsy, sexy stuff that can be filmed pretty quickly and with very little CGI. Still, the British gossips would have us believe that Angelina and Brad Pitt are ?in training? for the film. Is it FOR the film or are they merely doing a joint couple-activity for fun? I don?t know. But sources say they?re taking Krav Maga lessons.
They met on the set of high octane flick Mr & Mrs Smith, where they played married secret assassins. And the lives of newlywed couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are now imitating their art as they have taken up training in a form of military-style unarmed combat, together.
The couple – who married in France last month – have been practicing a form of Israeli self defence known as Krav Maga to help them prepare for their upcoming movie By The Sea. Brad, 50, has only recently adopted the discipline, which the couple now practise several days a week, while wife Angelina started learning self defence to train for her Tomb Raider role in 2001.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ‘Angelina previously learnt Krav Maga when she was doing Tomb Raider and loved it.’
The A-list acting couple, who have six children together, Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, nine-year-old Zahara, eight-year-old Shiloh and six-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne are impressed with the fitness properties of the combat classes, which are thought to burn hundreds of calories each time. Fight Club actor Brad is believed to have lost more than 10 pounds after participating in the intense military-style exercise classes for just three weeks and is even letting his kids join in the fun.
‘The whole family are learning the moves,’ the source continued. ‘Even the little ones are doing modified kids’ moves but Brad has been doing it for 45 minutes a day and has dramatically lost weight and beefed up his muscles for the film.’
[From The Daily Mail]
See, I think they?re just saying the Krav Maga lessons are for fun, or for a workout, not that Krav Maga will be used in the film. I used to be really interested in Krav Maga because it seemed like a smart, efficient self-defense system that borrowed some good ideas from other methods. But I?ve read some articles about how Krav Maga isn?t all that and all the cool kids do Muay Thai or Taekwondo because those are the better systems overall. I?ve also heard (but never verified) that Krav Maga shouldn?t be a ?fun class? for kids, that it?s too dangerous. But then every child in my town started taking Krav Maga classes, so I don?t know. But if the Jolie-Pitt children really are taking Krav Maga… watch out. Looks like there really IS a Jolie-Pitt Child Army.

Ha, we?re getting more details about The Brangelina Wedding from Hello and People Magazine. People led me to believe that Angelina?s wedding gown was made by Luigi Massi, the ?master tailor? of Versace. But Donatella Versace wants everyone to know that SHE designed the gown, Massi just made it, I guess. Donatella gave Us Weekly a look at her sketches for the gown (you can see the sketch here) and Donatella tells Us Weekly: ?Angelina has it all. Beauty, class and brains. I wish the best for her and her wonderful family.? Oh, and she says that Angelina also wore white silk satin pumps by Versace too. Do you want more details? I enjoyed this:
More from Mr. and Mrs. Jolie-Pitt! Angelina Jolie walked down the aisle on Saturday, Aug. 23, to the tune of her husband Brad Pitt humming the “Wedding March.” The couple shared the details behind their super-secret wedding in the latest issue of the UK’s Hello! magazine, including any potential honeymoon plans and how their six kids were actively involved in planning the ceremony.
“We wanted it to be intimate and it was,” the newlyweds told the mag of their ceremony, which was held in a chapel on their Southern French estate, Chateau Miraval. “It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter. It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family.”
Indeed, the Jolie-Pitt kids — Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 8, and 6-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox — each had a say on his/her involvement in the nondenominational ceremony. “They picked their clothes and their duties,” Brangelina told Hello! “They all took it very seriously. Knox practiced carrying coins and acorns on his little pillow before he got the ring.” (Later, Hello! learned that one of the kids dropped a ring.)
As Us Weekly confirmed last Thursday, Aug. 28, Jolie, 39, walked down the aisle with her eldest sons Maddox and Pax. Daughters Zahara and Vivienne “threw petals gathered from the garden,” their spokesperson told Us, while second oldest daughter Shiloh and youngest son Knox were ring bearers.
According to the mag, when the A-listers kissed at the altar, Shiloh had to stifle herself with the ring cushion to stop laughing out loud.
“They are our best friends and the people closest to us in our lives,” the couple told Hello!
The bride even wanted her kids to make a mark on her custom-designed gown by Atelier Versace — literally. “I wanted the kids to be a part of everything including the dress, because that’s our family,” Jolie told Hello! of her white silk-satin gown embroidered with drawings from her six kids. “That represents the way we live out life together.” Hilariously, one illustration on Jolie’s veil read “Buttock Fatock.”
Even after the ceremony, the newlyweds enjoyed a cake baked by Pax. To celebrate the joyous occasion, the family ate a home-cooked provincial-style meal on the grounds of their estate. Pitt’s parents, William and Jane, as well as his brother Doug and sister Julie, were all present to toast the couple.
As for any potential honeymoon plans? “We are making a film [By the Sea] about an unhappily married couple. It’s not lost on us what a strange honeymoon it is!” Brangelina joked of their film, currently being shot in Malta. As exclusively reported by Us, the two share some “crazy sex scenes” in the movie.
“It’s a wonderful feeling to be married,” the couple concluded. “The children are so happy.”
[From Us Weekly]
I love the details ? Pax baked a cake! Knox practiced his ringbearer duties but Shiloh did not! I get the feeling that Shiloh was the ring-dropper too. That kid is such a handful ? I bet Angelina sees a lot of herself in Shiloh. Hello also noted the fact that Brad did something special to remember Angelina’s mom – Brad had a stone engraved “with a tribute to Bertrand at the spot where they said ‘I do’ in the chapel at Chateau Miraval.” Aw.
LaineyGossip had some of the scans from Hello ? go here to see. The setting looks very minimalist and Maddox is so friggin? tall these days. Oh, and James Haven WAS there. He?s just super-discreet, which is good.

| Brad Pitt spent his honeymoon in New York, working with Marty Scorsese | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
After Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie announced their wedding last week, most outlets claimed that Brad and Angie would be doing a ?working honeymoon? in Malta. Angelina flew from France to Malta to do some pre-production on By the Sea, and it was expected that Brad would join her within a day or two. Instead, Brad has spent much of their first week of marriage away from his bride. OH NOES. COUNTDOWN TO DIVORCE. First, Brad was in England for a photocall for Fury, then he flew to New York, which is where he camped out throughout the three-day weekend. As it turns out, Brad got a job. It?s a weird job too ? he?s been filming a ?short film? directed by Martin Scorsese and he?s working with Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert DeNiro. The short film is basically an advertisement for Melco-Crown Entertainment, a global resorts and casinos conglomerate. Which means? $$$$.
How many short films ever boasted this kind of star wattage? RatPac Entertainment is producing a short being directed by Martin Scorsese that will be used as a campaign for Melco-Crown Entertainment (MCE), Lawrence Ho and James Packer?s global resorts and casino brand.
They got the best cast for a casino-themed film since Steven Soderbergh was making the Ocean?s Eleven films: Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt. The script was written by Wolf Of Wall Street scribe and Boardwalk Empire creator Terence Winter. RatPac?s Brett Ratner and RSA?s Jules Daly are producing and Packer and Ho are executive producing.
The film will premiere next year at the opening of Melco-Crown?s newest movie-themed resort Studio City in Macau, the big gambling mecca that is now part of China. It?s the first time De Niro, Pitt and DiCaprio have worked with Martin Scorsese together in the same film.
DiCaprio has done five with Scorsese, and De Niro eight, but none together until now. De Niro and DiCaprio did This Boy?s Life back in 1993, with De Niro so impressed by the kid that he suggested to his pal Scorsese that he ought to meet DiCaprio. The two met and hit it off pretty well. Maybe this convergence with Pitt is a good warmup for that Frank Sinatra film Scorsese and DiCaprio have been talking about?
[From Deadline]
So, that?s what Brad?s been doing in NYC. He?s been filming this commercial directed by Marty Scorsese. I had to look through Brad?s IMDB to see if he had any connection to Scorsese before this, and I was surprised to learn/remember that Brad was a producer on The Departed. Allegedly, Brad was attached to star in it at one point too. That?s interesting. Obviously, Leo and Bob DeNiro?s histories with Marty are more well-known. Even though this ?short film? is basically just a fancy commercial, I bet it will be pretty charming. More and more, A-list actors are ?selling out? for these kinds of high-paying commercial endeavors. I?ll give it to Brad though ? when he sells out, he does it for major paychecks and with the highest caliber people.

Well, well. I wondered last week if Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were going to sell/give away their wedding photos to People Magazine and Hello, and wouldn?t you know? It happened. I don?t know if People/Hello paid for this exclusive, but I suspect they did. Or at the very least, the magazines made a substantial contribution to one of the Jolie-Pitt foundations or charities. You can read Hello?s exclusive here, and here?s People?s article:
When Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie went about planning their big day, they didn’t have to look far to find the perfect wedding planners: their six children.
The intimate Aug. 23 ceremony ? attended by just 20 friends and family members ? was held in the chapel of Chteau Miraval, the family’s estate in the French village of Correns. The wedding ? including exclusive photos of the ceremony, Jolie’s unique dress (decorated with her children’s artwork!) and the entire family’s celebration ? is featured in this week’s issue of PEOPLE, in conjunction with Hello! magazine internationally.
Each child had a key role to play: Eldest sons Maddox, 13, and Pax, 10, walked their mom down the aisle; flower girls Zahara, 9, and Vivienne, 6, tossed petals gathered from the garden; and Shiloh, 8, and Knox, 6, served as ring bearers. The kids also helped write their parents’ vows. And Pax baked the cake!
“It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter,” Pitt, 50, and Jolie, 39, tell PEOPLE. “It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family.”
Even Jolie’s dress was an expression of her kids’ creativity: Luigi Massi, the master tailor at Atelier Versace, sewed dozens of designs from her children’s drawings into the dress and veil.
“Luigi is like family to me and I couldn’t imagine anyone else making this dress,” says Jolie. “He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together.”
Pitt wore a suit from his closet ? with a tie borrowed from one of his sons because Pitt forgot to pack his. Zahara’s dress was designed by family friend Adama Kebe. Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, and Knox wore black suits (Shiloh’s included shorts and a top hat), and Vivienne wore a white dress from her closet. Jeweler Robert Procop, who designed Jolie’s engagement ring, created the couple’s wedding bands.
[From People]
I?m not disappointed with the kids at all, but THIS DRESS is a nightmare. I?m not even talking about the kids? drawings on the back, although the execution of that is? not very good. But the silhouette, the design, the style of the dress just doesn?t suit her. Angelina is good in streamlined clothes and I really don?t get the bust of this dress at all. Ugh! Oh well. It wasn?t my wedding. Everything else is fine, I guess. I?m just grumbling about the dress. (And Shiloh wore WEDDING SHORTS! Montenegro Style!)
